Skilled WRITER - Self-Defence Niche
 

We're looking for a writer for the self-defense niche. Must have practical, real-world experience in this niche as an actual 'user' - someone who's practiced martial arts or self-defense of some kind, preferably for a period of time.

The work is writing our email broadcasts. Each broadcast is a few hundred words in length. We'll give you a rundown of the kinds of topics - street self defense, reality self defense, pressure points etc.

These email broadcasts are usually sent three times per week...so the work is regular!

I'm not a writer as such but I have over 25 years experience with TMA (traditional martial arts) few problems based on your description, food for thought anyway

street & reality are the same...

pressure points... unless you can slow down time are a myth in a real situation unless you want to count nose, eyes, groin and shins trying to hit a 1cm x 1cm target under pressure in an arm to make the guy fall over is impossible.

Id be happy to provide some information for you but youd need someone to go over the spelling and grammar etc ;)

Hello, my name is Dave Morgan.

I have a lot of real world experience as well as formal training in fighting and self defense.

I am a Police officer and as such I train regularly in various forms of self defense including armed, unarmed and multiple opponent situations but more importantly I have real experience in this field due to my work and also from experiences outside of work.

I am a natural writer with no formal training. I am most of the way through writing a book on self defense training aimed at the average person who wants to be able to defend him or herself as soon as possible.

I'm interested in this position.

I was enrolled in martial arts (a mix of Shaolin/Kempo/Karate) from 1990-2009. I was an assistant instructor at my dojo from 2005-2009.

I was in charge of writing the content for the official Blog of the Muay Thai TV show Champions of Champions Elite by Risarc Productions.

I have since worked with US Combat Sports as a reporter and have done interviews with Goran Karamfiloski, Roxy "Balboa" Richardson, Baxter "The One-Armed Bandit" Humby, and William "The Bull" Sriyapai.
