Hello... I have an idea for a membership site that deals with niche markets and marketing for newbies, but before I spend tons of $$$ building and marketing it, I was wondering if I could have an experienced internet marketer/marketing consultant do an analysis of my idea and... (1) Tell me the potential of my idea (how likely is it to succeed/fail)? (2) Has this idea been done before? I know niche marketing and internet marketing for newbies is nothing new, but I plan to have features which I believe will give it a "unique angle". (3) Even though I have a "rough estimate" of how much this will cost, I'd appreciate someone else's input on what the approximate cost would be to put everything together. (4) If it is decided that this would be profitable and has huge potential, what the best way to approach this would be (I have an idea and if you like, I can run it by you). (5) Anything else you can think of. This is similar to a "concept analysis" before a writer starts writing a screenplay to determine if the idea is marketable before he/she spends time writing a script, only to find out it's a "dud". I've taken screenwriting courses (and even submitted a script to competition). For those of you who are familiar to film/screenwriting, you're probably familiar with what a concept analysis is. For those of you who aren't... never mind . When I took screenwriting, I've heard it often said that "...a great concept poorly written/executed will have a much better chance of succeeding than a poor concept well written/executed.". This may be just me, but I "kinda" feel the same way about internet marketing, which is why I'm writing this post... to get an analysis of my idea before I spend all that money hiring a superstar copywriter, SEO firm, professional web developer, etc.... If interested, please e-mail me your qualifications/experience and your fee. We can do either phone or e-mail, but I kinda prefer e-mail, since with e-mail, I at least have a hard copy to print out and look at (I'm not the best at taking notes and talking on the phone). Thanks. Sincerely; David Ho P.S.: If it is determined I should not pursue this idea, I have other ideas, so I wouldn't feel too bad. I'd feel worse if I spend about $1,000.00 on a copywriter and another $5,000.00 or so on a beautiful, stunning site... only to find out "underwater basket weaving" is a "poor concept" that won't sell. |
