Looking For "Authority Site" or "Supersite" Web Designer.

Hello...

I was wondering if anyone can refer to me a good, reputable web designer who can design for me an "authority site" or "supersite". If they can provide articles, that'd be better (but I can provide them myself if need be).

Maybe not now, but in the future, the goal is to have my site be more like one of these sites:

Driving Traffic - The Internet Traffic Report
TheRichest.com: We Follow The Money
Bleacher Report | Sports. Highlights. News. Now.
ViralVita
Viral Nova - Trending Stories and Pictures Around the Web

Except it will be more specific to my niche.

The last freelancer I had took my money and ran (either that or he fell off the face of the earth), which is why I'm trying to be a little more careful.

So, if anyone here knows of a designer who has done good work for them (and who can design authority sites/supersites) and wants to refer them to me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks http://cdn.warriorforum.com/images/smilies/smile.gif!

*** Incidentally, I notice alot of the freelancers here on WF DON'T list phone numbers (and alot of them don't have their own websites), which is not necessarily bad... I've had good quality work done by freelancers that listed neither a phone number or a website.

My budget for the site is $300.00

I build these kind of sites for personal use and I am not a web designer. I have to point out for a true authority site your outlay is only going cover the content. As for the design most authority site are built of any of the top seo optimized and page speed templates.

$300? For a Authority Site or Supersite? Seriously? I mean no disrespect, but $300 for that type of site will get you nothing from a quality designer, if they live in the US.

You may find someone in a foreign country like India or the Philippines, or maybe an eastern block country. But honestly, for the quality your looking to have done, which I am sure you want, I can't see it happening for $300, but if you do happen to get it done for that price range, and it's quality and doesn't take too long, send me their info, I could use someone who can do that kind of work for that price........

No one in their right mind who takes themselves as a serious designer / developer would do this for $300.

Greetings from the Eastern Block. :)

Maybe they fell off the face of the earth because you led them to believe the project was smaller than it was at the start? A lot of the "gurus" have said to use phrases like "Really easy job for someone who knows what they are doing" ...

Most of the "real" programmers and shops won't even open their text editors for anything less than $10k for a site of this magnitude, if that gives some perspective.

Try scaling down your expectations of what your $300 can buy to get a basic site with the Minimum Value Product out first before your implement the rest of your ideas, and use Escrow and Milestones - you will be amazed at what you will get accomplished (correctly)

I have heard about this Web Outsourcing Gateway Inc., that is based in the Philippines. Although that is a company not a designer per se, still you must try. You can actually try to contact them thru their website.

Hope that helps.
