The maximum of entries as they call action takers sharing the contest I see 45. That's not a massive result as they claim. I pass this one for now and wait for some real reviews and results. |

What I like about the product I love the various viral options that Social Contest (Youtube, FB, Pinterest, Visiting websites, Answering questions, etc) offers to it's users to ensure your traffic goes viral. The live leaderboards really make a big difference when users can view their point rankings with others to see how well they are doing within the competition. The layout of the competitions are very professional looking and clean. However with this all that being said....there are many issues with the software that make it fairly unusable (especially with paid traffic). What I don't like about the product... 1.MOST IMPORTANT - There is no way to track the contest emails you gather. The creators did not include a way to place conversion tracking pixels anywhere! So if your using paid advertising (which they claim they do with FB ads on their training videos) then there is no way to track what is working and what is not as you cannot place FB Conversion Pixels (or any conversion pixels) on a page once the visitor has signed up. You just gain an email lead and never know where they came from! To me....this is what makes or breaks the software. If you can't allow users a way to track our advertising efforts, then were simply "shooting in the dark" when it comes to advertising our contests. 2. Users have no way to export contest data. For example, we spend all this time setting up contest entries like questionnaires, surveys, Youtube submissions, Pinterest pins, etc, and there is no way to export any of this data. The information is kept within the system without a way to export any of it. You have to scroll through TONS of meaningless information to view the contest entries. This makes the contest features useless if you cannot obtain feedback from your visitors, in a simple, professional manner. 3. When you delete participants from the contest, they still show up on the Leaderboard. Not a deal breaker, but definitely worth noting. 4. Social Contest gives a way to mark contestant entry points as "Invalid" which doesn't work. The points still show up, so this feature does not work. There are a few other bugs that I have not included, however if they were able to smooth the issues I mentioned above out, they would have a real SOLID piece of software here. One that would rival any contest software out on the market. As of the moment.....points #1 and #2 are imperative to run a functioning contest, so I would not be able to currently recommend this product. |
