I totally understand where you're coming from. I did a video for a client the other day and used good old PowerPoint and Camtasia.

I'm a veteran when it comes to making VSLs. I've been doing them for years and have done hundreds of them. PowerPoint and Camtasia are time-tested. I love the simplicity of EasyVSL but it needs some work before (or if) I decide to make the switch.

I would like to be able to edit the slide design all at once. When I initially created the video using EasyVSL, I selected the nature background and thought it would pick up throughout. It didn't. Then, when I went back to edit it, I couldn't change them all at one time. I had to change them one-by-one.

Also, on the original video, you'll notice the logo in the bottom right corner. I was going to add the logo to the EasyVSL video but I chose otherwise because of the slide design I chose. However, when I was putting the logo in, I noticed that I could resize it with the arrows. That's great. However, my client was a stickler for the dimensions of the logo and when I tried editing it in PPT with just the arrows, it wasn't right. I had to right click the logo in PPT and edit it that way so the logo would be the exact same dimensions my client gave me. PowerPoint has that sort of precision, EasyVSL does not.

Lastly, EasyVSL doesn't have a way for me to edit the audio on their platform. I suppose that it would take away from the simplicity and ease of the platform. Obviously Camtasia allows me to do this while I'm adding the slides and audio to the timeline. EasyVSL does not. Luckily, my clients audio didn't have any excessive gaps or hiccups or any of that stuff. I would be able to edit those out in Camtasia. Not so with EasyVSL.

With all that said... Matt Callen has done an EXCELLENT job with this program and this post is not meant to be derogatory in any way whatsoever. The reason I created this post is because someone asked a question that the creators didn't.

That's odd. When you choose the design at the beginning, it should be set for ALL created slides by default. Then you can individually change the ones you want when you're in the editor. We plan to add the bulk change to the Editor as well in the very near future.

If you hold SHIFT while adjusting the size with your mouse, it will automatically keep the aspect ratio of the image so that it doesn't get distorted.

This is definitely on the features that we'll be adding. It will essentially be a built-in recorder within EasyVSL.
