Yes, absolutely. To use long-tail keywords in the best way I recommend adding 3000-7000 products per site. If you wnat to add more then you need to think about a good hosting solution. A usual shared hosting is usually not enough for such amount of products (more than 7,000)

It all depends of cousre. If you have a lot of products on your store, it is not a problem to add products from different niches. So, if we speak about affiliate sites I tink it is a good idea to mix products. But if you have a dropshipping site, then it is better to focus on a tight niche.
