Of course Pay per click has had its mark on the marketing scene. The huge rakings Facebook, Google and the like have managed in the recent past is motivating! As usual, count on Google to have been ahead of the pack with dynamic algorithms that made the strategies such Adwords program so attractive and profitable. The giant internet company knows how to evolve. Recently, Google has been working to apply these marketing formulas to their video posts on YouTube. This video focused ad program is called TruView. The fact that the company is working to integrate the video ads program into the core user interface of the principal Adwords means that there is a real chance, the company could make yet another mark and another huge reap and Viddyoze users will be able to insert great marketing features into any video.

TrueView

This ad program from Google works by displaying a short video ad prior to a visitor watching their chosen video. They have included an opt-out button that you can click to close the ad and head to where you intend. If on the other hand you do not close the ad, it is assumed that you have clicked on the ad since it gives you a chance to have a view of the ad in full.

TrueView is increasingly riding on the fact that more and more video publishers continue to allow such ads to show on their sites as long as they have a cut of the revenue the TruView ads generate. It is now official that Google plans to integrate TruView with the user interface for Adwords. Although YouTube still leads the pack, other entities are fast catching up. FOR instance it was projected that Facebook would generate up to two million video views in 2015. Judging by the previous statistics, this figure if realized will have closed in the gap between their video adds viewership and that of YouTube. Therefore, Google is hard pressed to ensure that they keep up to speed with new developments; given that videos seem to be the preferred version of getting what is new. Note that a year before the projection mentioned earlier, the video views on Facebook compared to those by Google were 10 times lower, so Viddyoze members should be careful which paid network to use for their marketing efforts.

In fact, Facebook seems to be the new kid on the block. Look at these figures, the pay per click revenue by Facebook has been a handsome $ 0.73. If you compare this figure with the modest earnings by YouTube: $0.28, you begin to see where the competition is headed. What is interesting is that advertisers spend more to advertize with Facebook because if a video ad is left alive for three seconds, the advertiser is charged. On the other hand the irony is further compounded by the fact that if an advertiser is on YouTube, the ad has to be seen for 30 seconds or more for the You Tube to collect some revenue from the advertiser.

The new development at Google is believed to be the one that will leverage gains the vicious competition coming from Facebook. It is assumed that if The TrueVie profile is enhanced by giving it more publicity courtesy of Adwords, then the company will begin to see significant rise in revenue and close in the gap with the competitors.

Face book still has the advantage of zeroing in on personal interest. Google does not enjoy this aspect of the advertizing advantage. Their Google Plus platform is not as frequently used as Facebook, so Viddyoze users should be aware of this.

Facebook seems to have figured it all out. Apart from the main facebook platform, facebook also gains advantage via Instagram which it owns. Indeed, Instagram has recently made clear their plans to roll out a rigorous video advertizing campaign. Going by the already existing clients who advertize with them, the stage is set for a real vicious race. Instagram have had such advertisers as CW Network, Banana Republic, Disney, Activision, Lancome and more. The only consolation Google has for now is that Instagram has procrastinated launching the anticipated video ad program. The initial video ads program launched by Instagram had some qualms from customers. The new ads are set to last half as long as those done by googe on TrueView. The only take 15 seconds.


Google is up against yet another difficulty in the integration mission. Most of the current advertisers with them try to check out numerous ad tests fast. The time it takes to do a good video ad is significant. There is the editing and the uploading aspects which must be done accurately. The records go on to show that online videos are also responsible for improved conversion rates in both SaaS Companies and eCommerce.

In the light of these aspects it will probably be a good idea to get started on that video production project about now. But where do you begin --surely, it's not just any video that can arouse conversion in viewers, it has to be the kind that reaches out and makes that connection.

Can you hear me now? Can you hear me now? How do you even know you are visible to your target audience? Have you researched which mobile devices are commonly used by your audience, which browsers they prefer and which operating systems are trending with them specifically?

You may spend a small fortune on producing the very best content for your demographic but if they can’t see it? --It’s like winking in the dark. So research formats, browsers, and all other technical sides of the demographic before breaking ground.

3. Be Gender Conscious

When you plan your ad campaigns --and the color schemes, logos and topics they illustrate-- be sure to be attractive to both sexes. What is perceived by men is very different to what is perceived by women.

This is an important consideration when you are analyzing your target demographic -- by considering the genders and applying some intuition to the way you are presenting a product you will able to create a presentation that is sympathetic to both sexes.

4. Don’t Overload the Content

Promotional content videos must be short enough to hold the viewer's attention and informative enough to get the message across --but don’t exaggerate. If you are finding masterful ways of packing information onto every microsecond of footage you are going about it wrong.

The most important thing to do is appeal to your viewer not barrage them with information. If you have 50 really important things to say, narrow it down to 5 and keep them guessing.

5. Keep it Short and Sweet

We are not creating a rendition of the Lord of the Rings, Dune or the Book of Exodus. It is important that the video be concise or your audience may just decide to walk out of the theater. The world of online marketing is stuffed with customers with no attention span --and as merchants you must be aware of this, or you will starve.

If the videos are running longer than 1 minute they are also running the risk of losing an audience --studies prove it.

6. Prove IT

Tall tales and wild claims are pretty lame in writing --but with photographic evidence to back it up and with video demonstrations, it's the kind of thing that brings in publicity.

So if your product makes folks smarter, give it to a politician; if it's indestructible, bring out some crowbars and if your audience sees genuine results they will reward you with their valuable attention and business.

You can really spend a lot of your resources enhancing your video content quality only to find that it delivers a mediocre response; while this kid filming with a cellphone in a mall has viral videos, what’s up with that?

In the end the best laid plans can go south -- but the advantages of a simple idea with the correct application can be monumental. So start with the audience and see what they respond to best and then give it to them in the most unique --and adaptive-- way possible --There! Simple!

No, this really takes a whole lot of ingenuity and creativity so put on the coffee, creativity music or whatever it is that summons the good ideas for you and then sometimes it just strikes out of the blue.

8. Make Your CTA Clear

Now that you have gone through all the work of creating video content that is appropriate for your audience, technologically-compatible, gender-suited and concise, it would be a shame if the target audience were not given an action to perform-- a way to respond to the work you have done.

So what is it that you wanted them to do, now that you got them here? Sign-up for a correspondence, “Like” a Video or Post, Buy a Product, Invite a Friend? Make sure the CTA you wish your customers to perform is clear and easily presented for them to execute immediately.

9. Placing the Video

Now that you have a video produced and you are just bursting with ideas of where it should go make sure you don't underestimate the importance of placement. In the right place an appropriate video helps seal the deal but in the wrong place it show lack of professionalism -- or even worse lack of research into the client.

So think of the stages of attracting a client and which video will be the best for each stage.

Stage 1: Hear Ye Hear Ye!

At the beginning when you are first attracting a client you must use a highly appealing type of content that shows intelligence, trustworthiness, authority or which ever messages you think are best for first attracting the demographic you are working with.

Stage 2: Curiosity

The next stage is when they are already interested in you and have visited your main page looking for more information --and you are going to give them….? Very Good! More information in the most concise, practical and professional way possible.

Stage 3: Desire

Then there is the point after they have gotten some information on your option and are now just waiting for a reason to hit the CTA link. So consider some appropriate content for this stage as well --whether it is, challenging, exciting, endearing, funny or motivating will be entirely up to the demographic you have studied.

Stage 4: The Action

This is the point or link page that bears the Call to Action and you don't want any content distracting your customer from making a purchase, signing up for an update or inviting a friend to consider your options.

There may be situations when a video tutorial has to be viewed to make a particular purchase but this would be unfortunate indeed.

10. Get as Much as You can Out of Your Video Content

If you have created some engaging content use it in as many places as you find appropriate. Use it to illustrate, remind, compare or however else you can. Placing it in newsletters and correspondence is effective as well.

Just remember that your audience will appreciate your understanding of their likes dislikes and sometimes fastidious natures -- Be sure to always consider them and their particulars before implementing any strategies.
