I have more than 250 GB in external disk and I was looking for online back up service and I tried one before. After buying the online back up, I realized it takes nearly 2-3 months for me to upload 250 GB of my documents and other materials such as photos, images, videos. Please let me know whether this back up service takes similar time or is it faster ?

2 months is a very long time to backup 250GB.

Normally, how fast the backup takes place would be down to the upload speed of your connection.

When I backed up my PC, which had about 75GB of data the backup took around 2 days.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents:

I just got the Online Backup and it's just great!

OK, it's slow but it's only $8 for a whole year!!!

However if you've got a fast internet connection it'll be fast. If any thing it just shows you how fast our slow your internet is.

I was looking at buying a Terabyte HD this week and I know my way around them. I can get a Seagate pretty cheap here in Hong Kong because they are made in China, but as I've had two crash in the past year, no thanks. I wanted to get a Toshiba or maybe a Hitachi, but I'd rather the Toshiba, any day.

But I don't need to get any now! I just load my unused vids/movies, I collect King Fu movies, onto an external Toshiba and back them up. I'll be able to free up 500GB with this back up service. Thank you!

I look forward to the day that I don't ever need an external drive because they all go wrong. Even the solid state drives crash, because they haven't got any new way of connecting them.

For the first time I can have my precious files stored on the cloud, and that is just so reassuring.

I was notified by Live Drive this morning that the account was suspended. I have contacted PlanB tech support but I have not received a reply. Is anyone else having this problem?

My account has also been suspended. I am a waiting to here from plan b. It's almost been a week. My account was suspended a month or two ago, then it was restored. This is the second time this has happened. I have managed to backup my data from the L drive.

Yup, my account was suspended too. No idea why. It seems to have been restored now but it has made me nervous about backing up to it in case I lose access again.
