MSPBE Integrated Invoicing, Accounting, and Customer Management System
Hi Group,

This post has been a long time in the making. When I first started this project, this community ranked in the top 3 where I thought I would obtain my first feedback on a new web based software product. I feel I can get a more adult type of feedback from others who are entrepreneurs and in business for themselves.

I'm asking for a review of my new Invoicing, Accounting, and Customer Management System called MSPBE which stands for Managed Service Provider Back End.

What I would like is for you to view the video, try out the demo, and give me your feedback to some questions. If you complete these three steps, I will put you on the list to receive a free beta product (very soon to be released) AND you will also receive a free fully functional version of the software as my way of saying thank you for your help. You can’t lose! This offer is valid for the next 3 days.

To give you a little background, I am in the IT consulting business. I sell consulting services along with hardware and software. I suppose I could be classified as a Systems Integrator. In addition, I also sell webhosting, email, and a few other items that are normally pre-billed on a monthly recurring basis vs. post billed.

Maybe this story will sound familiar. I've been using WHMCS to handle my recurring billing needs, to-do list, as well as an add-on product to track customer hours. I use a spreadsheet to track customer orders (have they paid, have I ordered the product from the vendor, have I paid the vendor, did the customer receive, did I record the support contract info).

With WHMCS I have no use for the shopping cart, limited use of the ticketing system, and no use for the cpanel server integration as my customers are more high end type of hosting.

In addition, I use QuickBooks for one time invoices, paying bills, managing bank accounts, and general accounting.

I hate the fact that the two systems are separate systems. Updating customer information in 2 systems, double entry of financial data, two different invoice numbers depending on whether the invoice is recurring (prebilled) and generated on whmcs or one time (postbilled) and generated with QuickBooks.

Another thing I don't like is products available today are SAAS models. I like to own my software outright and this product will fit that bill.

Here are a few more features and benefits of MSPBE.

• Accounting
• Reporting
• Task manager to track your companies to do list or customer CRM
• Project manager and time tracking for billable hours

• Customer order tracking
• One time or recurring invoicing
• Ability to charge different sales taxes per line item on the invoice (whmcs is severely lacking here)
• Simple and straight forward documentation (will be video based)
• Web based, access anywhere or just internally (you own it)
• You own the product outright on your servers
• No monthly fees
• No uneasy feeling about outsourcing your most important back end system
• Support options
• Fraction of the cost of traditional separate systems

Who it is for

• Small to medium size companies not needing multiple access levels
• IT managed services, web developers, lawyers, landscapers, consultants, landlords and more
• Companies who need something better than separate invoicing and accounting software but not large enough for a full blown ERP system

Questions to you – Please post your answers into this thread. This is how I will track who gets a free version.

1. Do you use an accounting, invoicing, or management system today? If so which one?
2. Describe a bit about your routine, likes and dislikes with your current software or system.
3. Could MSPBE be a potential replacement or addition for what you use today? Did you like MSPBE? Does it address your needs? Why or why not?
4. What should MSPBE be priced at?
5. Would you be satisfied with only forum and ticket based MSPBE support?
6. How important is the product name? Do you like the name MSPBE? Why or why not?
7. Do you like the idea of owning your software outright or would you rather pay a lower monthly recurring charge for software (hosted software, software as a service)? My goal is to sell the software outright for use on your system but maybe a hosted option as well.
8. Have you discovered any bugs or design issues with MSPBE?
9. General helpful feedback

Thank you in advance. You can find the login information to the demo website in the video. Feel free to make changes on the demo system.

I recommend watching the video in full screen mode. The video clarity gets better about 20 seconds into watching, not sure why so fuzzy at first.
