Before you buy -- get an honest opinion.. no charge!

I see so many people get hammered because they don't understand the industry, how Internet marketing works, and they have novice experience in conversion pages, market saturation, and other business fundamentals. If your thinking about buying a website then I will review over it and give you a short but honest answer on if your being scammed, oversold, or the pitfalls you will run into. Please.. sites only over $200 as I can't review 99 cent iphone lock sites, lol.

I was asked to review the following:

https://flippa.com/2951577-2-premium...th-a-rare-sale

Lets start with some fundamentals..

From a legal standpoint..out of the gate, your going to have some mild battles when it comes to legalities, since the name itself is a trademark violation (or at least challenge it in court and unless there is a 'dino' out there that isn't off flintstones then you might get it taken from you.

From a growth standard two things stick out:

(a) Its in a down spiral and the traffic in less then a few short months has dropped by half. If this continues another 60 days then the site will have lost all interest and value and be almost unrecoverable.

(b) Its too consistent from day to day. Web logs should look jaggid and fluctuate with weekends, holidays, and have just odd patterns at times. This site has none of that which screams the traffic is being supplemented or isn't real.. unless rain or shine magically the same % of people from in from day to day, week to week, etc.. which I've had extensive portfolios of companies and I don't see this in any of them.. and I do own a forum based site as well so I'm comparing apples to applies.

(c) Revenue model doesn't add up. You have to understand with adsense that having a click rate of 3% for this is high, and even there other days of 1.5% if high.. generally this kind of traffic is very informational and there isn't a lot of products you can sell around it targeted for the future. The ad position is good, but I just don't see both 1 in 30 exposures clicking it as well as strong site retention because of it.

(d) The forum concept doesn't add up. If you visited the forum, without logging in.. would you signup based off what your seeing? If not, where do they come from.. there is splash marketing about the forum on the other site showing any potential growth, and their is only one person viewing the forums with minimal activity over there.. so its un-established so the forum has no value which is where this entire offering had any hope. Plus who is going to really sit in a forum about these things -- its not a discussion style topic unless you have a science community which would be very hard.

(e) No potential for growth or change. Its just an informational blog and feeding it more content won't greatly help and trying to harvest on what you have and ride growth isn't a possibility because the growth is going south.. so outside of just spinning your wheels I don't see this has a 'next' level to take it to because those forums, which I believe is an impossibility.

(f) The traffic isn't what one would consider a profitable industry, its not mortgage.. its research papers for kids.. not much can be done with that.

Summarize: You could buy this but within 60 days, unless your highly talented in marketing and pour a ton of long term ad dollars into it to establish that forum.. the well would run dry, adsense income would stop or possibility suspend the payments since it doesn't add up from a due diligence standpoint, you could be looking at a c&d from the studio to cease with the name and hand it over, or it stabilizes but you have no room for growth, or it breaks and content sites like that are no fun to fix, but more importantly.. to end it all, there are more fish in the sea and this is a throw back. This thing doesn't have the solid fundamentals you look for in a website.

By the way.. if I ever provide a "You should buy this" review of a site then I won't be posting it publicly for obvious reasons unless the review is from the seller of the site.
