We are a growing online community site in the dietary supplement, fitness and bodybuilding space and need to hire a full time Internet marketer to help us.

Would you guys have any suggestions about how to find qualified candidates? And about how they should be compensated?

We need someone who can actively set up a funnel: Money Magnet, Squeeze Page, Email Series, etc. and be able to track conversion. We need someone who can be hands on - not someone who would just point out what we need to be doing/testing ourselves.

The person does not need to be an expert, but needs to be familiar with the following skills: html/Dreamweaver, basic Photoshop, embedding video, javascript, Google experiments, etc.

On the compensation, base pay plus bonuses/pay for performance/results is likely the best.

To find qualified candidates (and I've thrown my hat in the ring, please see the PM I sent), try asking for specific ideas on how they would grow your business. Give more info on what you're currently doing, marketing wise, and ask for ideas on how potential candidates can take you from where you are to where you want to be.

Evaluate them on that.

Now, you're likely not going to get detailed plans, as consultants charge for this, but you can get a general idea or "feel" for if someone knows their stuff and knows exactly how they can grow your business and profits.

Guys, we are still looking for an Internet Marketer. They ideal candidate would be able to easily and quickly accomplish something like the following:

A typical project that I would expect you to manage might be as follows:

Design 4 different squeeze pages for RuthlessSupplements.com to build the mailing list.

I will give you access to the Amazon store (hosts RuthlessSupplements.com), the GetResponse mailing list to make the email form, and Google analytics.

Design the squeeze pages and integrate the GetResponse sign-up form.

Create a google experiment for the 4 pages to see which one generates the most mailing list sign-ups – tracking sign-ups in GetResponse too.

Set the squeeze page to pop-up on the RuthlessSupplements.com site when you go to leave the site (Same effect as on TestStackRx.com)

Run the Google experiment and present the results.

Is this something you could easily manage from start to finish and how long would it take you to set something like this up?
