There are a couple up-sells though the actual software in the video itself does not require any further upsells.

how is this different from SEOquake which is a free app for firefox?

Matt Callen developed SEO Elite, which I own. It sells for
$167 and promises to do much of what the Recon software is promoted to do.

Google "seo software" and you will see SEO Elite is not on the first two pages
of results, though their sales page says they are. Traffic Travis is there. While you are there check out the alert from Aaron at SEO Book...

My copy of SEO Elite returns much less data than Traffic Travis. The anchor
text data is pretty much of no value, compared to TT. It does not break down
the links nearly as well, so it is harder to see multiple links from sites and
their anchor text.

Yes, it was one off pricing also, yet became largely non functioning for my needs.

Now, another invite for another shiny seo tool from the same developer. Maybe it will last a while and maybe not. Not askin' for endless upgrades for a one off price. I'd gladly pay a monthly if his old software would just do what it promised in a more efficient manner.
