It is important to note that you should add original content to all the content that you curate. If you don't talk about the content you curate, google will more likely look at it as scraped content and not curated content.

Good point, except you don't need to add original content to all the content you curate...its a good idea to have some unique posts/articles on your site and to add unique commentaries to some of your curated content to stay safe.
