ArpReach, but had to write a custom gateway solution today to make it work with hybrid connect and epic squeeze. Due to Rapidmailers form code complexity I decided it wasn't to doable in its current state.

I will be watching RapidMailer and hope it updates to a more IM friendly tool.

Rapid Mailer breaks WordPress 3.9. If you activate it in WP 3.9 it disables the visual editor, not only that but in spite of three requests to Rapid Mailer support I cannot even get an acknowledgement let alone an answer or a solution

They have released a fix for the 3.9 issue but I don't see any of the other promised fixes/changes.

I am having the same freakin' issue. It would seem as though the redirect would take priority as that is the culmination of getting your optins. If they cannot go to the desired redirected page, then what is the point. I was really looking forward to this plugin, but man, if they cannot get the redirect fixed (Its been over 2 weeks now!) then I will have to continue using autoresponders that work without a doubt!

Nope, no changes to the redirect. All I wanted to see was the freakin' plugin redirect properly. Can Rapid Mailer Do This Basic Function!

On the up side, the IMSC Rapid Mailer by Sean really is a beautiful piece of work. Since building and managing lists is such an integral part of success in an online or offline business - I opted this time not to ditch the plugin, but to ditch the conflicting theme!

I can see a great deal of thought and work has gone into this little gem. So congratulations Sean and the team.
Question: is Rapid Mailer redirecting fine for you? I think this has potential, but if the plugin cannot redirect, than it is useless

Well, I will pop in on that one. I have had numerous conversations with support on this. Originally they told me that redirects do work, then came back and admitted that they don't. I was promised a fix for that by this last Sunday or Monday.

Now I think we need to cut them a little slack because of the 3.9 surprise, seems that just about everybody was caught off guard on this one. BUT, with that said, there are still a number of very clear omissions/issues with this product and redirect is just one of them.

Another big issues is the whole "pop-up" off site opt in form. I've been doing this for a long time and have never seen anything like that. Again, some of this is an issue because the original plugin was not designed for IMers but rather just people with newsletters.

Still holding my breath on this one.

Adding a redirect should be pretty simple, even if they were lazy and just did it the javascript way. Also the popup method needs to go, who uses a popup form for opt-in.

As I mentioned earlier I coded a solution for Wordpress plugins, with some tweaking I could get Rapidmailer to work with it, it would offer redirects and allow it to work with most plugins. But honestly hearing that RapidMailer is a piece meal of GPL plugins scares me to rely on it, hence why I went with a more robust solution. 2 weeks working on the redirect, wow if they need some code to get that working they can email me :p

Just to clarify, I'm not sure it IS GPL, I was just using the GPL license as an example.
If you are a developer I sure would love to talk to you about some projects.

Also, just realized you are in Colorado, our offices are in Fort Collins.

Have you tried getting Sean on Skype? He got his project manager to contact me on skype, gave him wpadmin and ftp access to a test site I set up. So should know more tomorrow.

EDIT: Just heard back, and it's been reported to the developers, and will be part of the update, which is good because they're quick about that and Sean knows (courtesy of moi), in detail, so it will be fixed.

Well I hope you are right. We had a number of tickets in and response was very good, they promised fixes to just about everything I have mentioned here . . . and said the fixes would be out last Sunday or Monday. I have not gotten a single response from the help desk sense then.

Re: UNCUT 'Rapid Mailer' Review & Bonus [Fast Cash] Methods

I bought it the day it came out and have wasted a few weeks on it so far.

I got 'List Rocket' to redirect after a few days of brain damage early on when I first got it but it only worked intermittently and stopped altogether.

I bought 'GetMoreOptins' and the redirect works okay with it (well as far as a few days ago when I last checked) - but I only updated the Rapid Mailer plugin again today. Strangely, I haven't had any more optins for several days now and I wonder if it's because of the new Rapid Mailer updates not working.

To make matters worse - I just downloaded and installed version 1.3.1 (but forgot
to backup my site) and it wiped out all of my save lists, autoresponders and subscribers. What a bummer!

My patience is running at an all time low with this right now - but if it ever gets fixed - I'm sure it will prove to be worth the headache.

It seems like self-hosted Wordpress platform are getting updated almost daily of late and it appears to be messing with some of my plugins.

[Way too many changes - The Internet is evolving at an alarming rate and I seem to buying new stuff and spending money hand over fist before I've learnt and started using what I just bought - and then it becomes obsolete!]

It seems that Sean's plugins don't play nice with other plugins and themes. They have killed a few of my sites and I had to delete the plugins via FTP to get them up again.

Anyway, got no choice but to wait it out and see what happens.

PS: Backup your sites before installing new updates!

Yeah, I did. Not sure if it's happened to anyone else but it's definitely something they'll need to fix.

I learned a valuable lesson - I'll have to remember to backup my site before upgrading in the future.

I'm looking for a reliable (free) WP backup plugin as well. Can someone help?

I've been using WP-DBManager but I'm having problems with it since the new Wordpress update. A problem with ChMod (unable to write). I'm unable to change the permissions to 777 - as Hostgator doesn't allow it for security reasons.

Maybe someone can recommend a good backup plugin for me.

Thanks.

Just got the notification for v 1.3.2 in my email, here's what's changed:

Now, we have had a lot of international queries in regards to
translating this into multiple languages. So, we have added

translation files for many of the most common languages.
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Portugese
  • Hungarian
  • Dutch
  • Lithuanian
  • Romanian
  • Slovakian
  • Turkish

Here are the changes, fixes and additions:
  • Added - Translations of Popular Languages
  • Fixed - Some issues with redirects on WP 3.9
  • Fixed - Minor OptimizePress2 conflicts
  • Fixed - Other minor issues as reported

Finally Got It working - no snags!

You might want to try this...

I installed the latest update version 1.3.2 but still no redirect!

When I added the opting code to 'List Rocket' I was unable to enter
anything in the List Rocket name and email fields. There was NO
watermark there at all!

With the last 2 -3 updates I had stopped getting any confirmation
emails about new subscribers like I had been with older versions.

So I just deleted and re-installed an older version: 1.2.5 which I had
got working without issues (Only With GetMoreOptins) and the basic
stylesheet optin works perfectly - but not with 'List Rocket'.

I have NEVER had any success with 'List Rocket' at all!

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I purchased 'GetMoreOptins' and
had success with the redirect working. You might want to try some of
your other popup optin forms, and save your money having to purchase
another - like I did.

I have now got it working perfectly!

After optining in, it redirects to my 'Thank You' Page and when they confirm,
they also get the 'Thanks for Activating" page and then they get their free
Bonus email.

Plus I get a confirmation email telling that I have a new subscriber.

It's important to know that when I create the offline optin code
within the IMS Rapid Mailer 'Offsite Wizard' I add my thankyou page
URL - BUT select 'NO' for the stylesheet.

This way the whole thing works perfect.

I realise that it should work without any of this fiddling about -
But it does work nevertheless - and for now, that just what I need.

You can try it here if you like to see how it works:

pluginstestsite [dot] omni-choice [dot] com

(Not sure if I am allowed to add this in my post - hope it's okay!)

Hope this helps.

BTW. I am not in anyway promoting 'GetMoreOptins'. To be fair I just

took a chance when buying it in the hope it might work - seeing as the

'List Build Pack' has so far proved a complete waste of money.

Hopefully, Sean will get List Rocket and IMSC Rapid Mailer to

successfully work together.

YOU'LL PROBABLY NEED TO CHECK YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER!

@Joe, Thanks for pointing out the workaround...

[EDIT] if css enabled, in the offline optin code " <style type="text/css">
@import url('http:// .... /views/default/css/style.css'); </style> " should be placed in front the <script type="text/javascript"> code. This will works also.

[EDIT2] in the javascript code, replace window.open ---> window.close

So no popup box will be displayed.

As stated this should be fixed by Sean.

Thanks Joe, for that update. Am going to try that. Will completely delete the Rapid Mailer Plugin and start from scratch. Will post here again once done testing. Really hoping it works. Dont mind a workaround for a brief moment as that is better than nothing.

I bought this to day, only as back up for Getresponse and i am very disspointed.
After adding the optin code to 1 of my pages it did work in Firefox with a very weird redirect ( i saw my blog for a second lol) to my thankyou page. Then i tried it in chrome and the thankyou page is NEVER loading. I tried all optin codes available. Any one got a solution for this ? Thanks

What popup software are you using?

I originally tried unsuccessfully with several popup optin plugins but had unexplainable results. One minute it worked, then the next it didn't. It literally done my head in, as I was so close to getting it going - and then it just stopped.

The only success I ever had was with "GetMoreOptins". It stills works for me.

I have tried it in 5 different browsers and all work just fine with the way I have it set it up right now. (The way I explained in my last post).

* AOL
* Firefox
* Chrome
* IE
* Safari (mobile)

These all work for me using Version 1.2.5.

I will not update to any new versions until I know for sure that all the issues have been ironed out - and even then I will first set it up on a test site.

It took me weeks to get this working right and I'm content to keep it as it is until Sean gets it working properly for everyone.

One of the issues I had that made it really difficult for me was that I forgot to clear my cookies each time I ran a new test, as I was getting false results at first.

It took me ages to get it working right but I had to clear the cookies each time and check everything over and over again until I knew I had it licked.

This meant laboriously having to keep logging back into several sites each time. It wore me out - but I just kept going because I really wanted it to work.

Getting the configuration setting right withing IMSC Rapid Mailer is also something that has to be got setup correctly.

I find that if I change one small detail - then it all goes to pot.

As it stands - my setup is finally working consistently.

I just cannot understand why Sean's coders haven't been able to get it right as yet.

I'd like to think that they will - but until they do I ain't breaking what now works for me!

What annoys me is the fact that their own "List Rocket" plugin isn't working (redirecting) with their Rapid Mailer, which forced me to look for another Optin Popup plugin - but I suppose it turned out fortunate that I did!

I was lucky to stumble on "GetMoreOptins" and to make it work. It may well work with other third party optin plugins - but the only way to know will be to try them and go through different checks until they hopefully work.

But this shouldn't have to be the case. It should just work PERIOD - without all this trial and error stuff!

I hope you are all able get it to work soon!

GetMoreOptins? I must have missed that? What I found that worked re the redirects was when I created a custom field and then a new list, I left the custom field option unchecked. That seems to solve the redirect problem using 1.3.2. Something else I noticed, when I edited a list and checked or unchecked the custom list and hit save...then went back in...it wouldn't hold the setting. I've had no issues with List Rocket or Fresh Leads.

I've never been able to get "List Rocket" to redirect. I have tried it on numerous sites - but no joy.

I have added a custom field (Name field). Where are you leaving your "Custom Field" option unchecked please - is it in List Rocket or somewhere on Rapid Mailer?

What code are you using from "Offsite Wizard" in List Rocket..

The left side or right side. (I am not currently using 1.3.2 and cannot quote the exact names).

I would really like to be able to use "List Rocket". Maybe it just finicky!

Thanks for your reply!

In the Mailing Lists section, in Rapid Mailer, when you edit a list, you'll see the option to check the custom field. I'm using the left side code (Offsite code, not optin code)

Thanks! Since they added the 2 options I was confused as to which one of those to use.

I'll give that go on a new test site in a few days. Hopefully, it will work with List Rocket.

Unfortunately, I have had nothing but issues with this plug-in.

Many different problems and with the latest version, things have got worse. In debug mode it is showing database errors that the onboard database fix tool does nothing to address.

If I add up the time I have wasted in the last 3 weeks on this, I could have bought a proper, grown up solution & paid someone to configure it all!

Shame they decided to release something half-assed without thorough and proper testing. That is rather disappointing. Anyway... I hope they can get it all working at some point in the future.

I understand that there is an upsell named "List Building Bundle" and a downsell named "Pro Licence Only".

1. Does the "Pro Licence" include permission to install this plug-in to websites that I sell and websites of my costumers? I need an answer from someone that is sure about this.

2. How is the "List Building Bundle" upsell better than the "Pro Licence Only" downsell?

3. Anyone had problems with GoDaddy hosting?

I'm using the free version of "UpdraftPlus - Backup/Restore" and I'm very happy so far. I've also set it to upload back ups of my databases and files to my google drive every week automatically.

Hi Joe, there's MainWP as an option. Duplicator plugin too.

Yes you can, but I'd strongly suggest using Amazon SES (its free till you hit 10k emails then $1). Less strain on your host, which means they won't grumble at you.

Hi cypherslock,

Thanks again - Just downloaded "Duplicator". Looks like another great backup plugin.

This place is great for asking for information that's been tried by others - and can save wasted time and money!

Much appreciated!

Hi SeoMike,

I just took a look at "Generation" lead generation plugin - looks awesome!

So many features and very fair priced!

Much better value that "GetMoreOptins"!

Wish I'd seen that beforehand - Does it work okay on mobile?

Will invest in it this week - especially as there's no need to use any kind of work-a-round.

Seems like others are also getting it to work - great news!

It's amazing how many great tools there are out there - but never heard of (by me).

This can be a very valuable place for this kind of info and reviews from real users.

Thanks!

PS: What optin code are you using from the "Offsite Wizard" please, the RIGHT or LEFT hand side?

Hey guys.

I was wondering if somebody can help me with my Rapid Mailer issue.

I installed the plugin on a shared hostgator account, with the plan of using Mandrill as the server to deliver my emails.

Well, after multiple attempts all day, for some reason my test emails are still not going out. I tried smtp port 587 TTL, as well as smtp port 465 SSL which was suggested in this thread.

My SPF settings, DKIM settings, and sending domain has also been validated by Mandrill. You can check out the image below to see what I mean.

I don't know much about this 'email marketing world' but this issue is driving me crazy.

So, if anyone can offer any help or suggestions, I'll deeply appreciate it.

Hope to hear from anyone soon.

Thanks.

I have the same problem. My test mails wont even go out when using the WP Local server. Guess they released the plugin a little to early. Just problems all the time..

Try Amazon SES. I found that 465 wouldn't work neither would port 25, but 587 works like a charm. Easiest setup I've done.

For you guys that either have problems with Rapid Mailer or GetResponse.

Go to Mandrill and sign up for a free account (12 000 mail/month) and then download Mailpoet free version(Wordpress plugin). No need to buy premium version because the features you don´t get in the free version is covered by Mandrill anyway.

You will set it all up in about 15 minutes included import of your old list.

Now you have a working FREE autoresponder that works like a charm.

@Joe, from the "Offsite Wizard" i used the RIGHT hand side code.

However i've noticed Generation plugin is NOT 100% responsive...

Thanks for the suggestion. I may strongly consider doing this.

But I have a quick question. Do you know if MailPoet works well with shared hosting like the one I'm using with hostgator?
