Posts need to be approved by a Admin or Moderator. It is Sunday and most people are off for the weekend. The ones here maybe working on other parts of the forum. Please be patient.

I'm amazed how confusing the Warrior Forum rules are because there's several forum threads instead of one static FAQ page with all the questions/answers that can only be posted only by admins.

      Create confusion, you get confusion.

BTW, vBulletin has a built in post max count for modding new threads. Personally, I'd use it and not tell the public.

    Hello,

I placed a thread on October, at this area:
    https://www.warriorforum.com/other-w...ucts-services/
But I didn't make the payment at that time. I made the payment on the last Friday.

How do I know will my thread be placed on the forum or not? It has status REJECTED because the payment wasn't made in time. So what should I do now? How to know?

No. A previous admin apparently made the decision to allow threads in the suggestion forum to go live immediately without moderation.

I'm not sure if it was deliberate or a mistake but I can understand if it was on purpose. Perhaps they didn't want any other staff blocking out possibly negative suggestions and wanted to hear the whole, real truth by members.

Anyway, it looks like that spammer has been taken care of.

I have posted the internet marketing area and SEO but the same things happened. What can I do in this situation?

Sometimes moderation takes longer than normal. That's just a side effect of using volunteer mods who live in all time zones around the world. Some do hardly any moderating because they are so busy while others can spend a little more time. Patience is key.

If a thread is not approved, you should receive a PM or an email stating the reason why. Most new threads are not approved. This is due to factors such as:
    • Spam or advertising
    • Link drops - the great majority of these should not be approved - no matter the reason for the link. The system isn't perfect and is based on judgment calls but it is what it is
    • Adds no value to the forum - not interesting, not helpful, bad information, copy and paste articles, the question is unclear, etc.
    • Sets up the spammers to be in business - "Who on Fiverr can give me a cheap sales letter" and similar should almost always be deleted because what is going to happen? A spam fest.
    • Breaking other rules like calling people a scammer, etc.
    • "Which ___ is best" always creates issues. There is not a "best" forum software or WP tool or SEO guru fill in the ___. They all work for somebody so you wind up with endless arguments about whether FB or Twitter is best.
    • Posts from people with multiple accounts - those aren't just deleted but bans happen too.
    • Common questions where it's obvious the poster hasn't spent any time doing any research on their own and they just want to be spoonfed. Such as "how do I get traffic to my site?" There are thousands of answers to that and the question doesn't add any special situations that may require more of an answer.
There are many more reasons your posts may not show. Learn the rules - written and unwritten. Every community has standards that may not be written.

    Hope that helps.

Your PLR based thread is four and a half years old (2014) and isn't updated regularly. The last post was December 2016.

It's been placed in the Legacy WSO forum for this reason, as per the announcement here:

      https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...ease-read.html

You'll be able to link to your thread in the Legacy WSO when that part of the forum is opened up to members soon.

Not True - I update my initial post every 2-4 weeks with list of new products that are added to the membership. I've been doing that for the last 4+ years and send traffic to the post (including search engine traffic). I need all people to be able to see it which includes non-members.

The thread would be regarded as dormant, due to the lack of posts alone - especially being 4 and a half years old.

Most importantly, PLR content is not being regarded as unique value and so, it was announced (after a another user inquired recently) that PLR is being excluded from WSO offerings.

The legacy WSO forum may be opened to non-members. We'll find out when the permission have been implemented. In the meantime, in light of all points, it would be a good idea to consider utilizing a website so that everyone can access your content. There isn't any information to transfer across other than textual copy.

It's appreciated that no-one likes change, but hundreds of users have dropped many WSO's in the past - particularly after the initial Freelancer takeover, in light new rules. It's just the wave we've had to ride...

Yeah, my reputable copywriting service that's been running since 2010 on "Warrior For Hire" suddenly vanished too.

Your WFH thread has been moved to the Legacy WSO by mistake - a part of the forum which users cannot view currently.

Only old WSO's pre 2017 were meant to be moved, but other people got caught in the crossfire.

Since it's not wiped out, it can and will be restored when admin tend to it.

Re: Kenny L.'s (and my) issue...

I don't understand why you guys just didn't move the entire threads to the new WF for hire section. I tried to bump my post and can only do it on the new post I put up, but it doesn't have all the reviews/feedbacks that my previous thread did. Needless to say, it's not the right way to go.

Also, I tried to post an educational post on Offline Marketing both today and yesterday. It got rejected the first time, but I figured that it was because of a video embed code that was in the post. I changed that to a regular link, and it STILL got rejected. It's not spam, at all. It's a post where I'm trying to educate offliners about a very important topic and start a conversation.

Can we do better please? I've been on WF since 2011 on this account, and a paying advertiser since 2014. I think it's safe to say that I'm not going to spam WF.

Your issue? You have a WFH thread which is still showing. Elsewhere, you've tried to post a promotional thread twice in the offline section and two separate mods have already given you the reason why it was rejected.

            .

#1. My issue is that the post that I pay to bump in the new WFH section had to be posted new by me. It doesn't show the long-running thread of reviews and comments that are on the original post in the legacy section (which goes all the way back to 2014). Isn't there a way to transfer the whole thread to the new section? That would be much more worth my while to pay to bump rather than start from scratch with a whole new thread.

#2. That new post in the offline section wasn't promotional at all. Maybe it sounded "promotional" because I tend to write like a copywriter pretty much all the time these days. However, I'm not selling anything. I'm simply presenting a detailed premise and looking for offline agents who are potentially interested in what I'm talking about. And asking them to make contact with me if they want to work with the group of devs and me in taking things to the next level.

And sorry, but I didn't receive any messages regarding why it was rejected. If I had, I would have replied to them.

If someone can PM me on that issue, that would be great. If there's anything I need to change on the post, I'll be glad to do it.

Thanks for responding in any case.

What am I advertising exactly? What am I trying to sell?

And sorry, but I thought it was a good thing to talk about new concepts and ideas that would help people stay on the forefront of the latest technologies and tools that are fast becoming available to businesses.

I took the time to explain a lot of things about the topic, including various problems and of course the solutions in order to generate interest in something totally new and radical that will appeal to offliners' clients both now and in the future. My goal at this point is garner interest and get people educated.

Sorry if my persuasive writing style sounds too much like an "advert". I guess I'll need to work on that.

That's an issue for the Admin - nothing that the voluntary mods can do about it except bring it to the attention of the powers-that-be, which has already been done.

The rest of your posts in this thread clearly show why it's not generally a good idea to start a public discussion with someone about a deleted post. My bad. There was no "chastisement", simply an attempt at an explanation. Take it or leave it, but we probably shouldn't take up any more of this thread with that particular matter.

If the link is to your own video, it is going to get rejected. It's always been that way and hopefully, it always stays that way. If they start allowing people to link to their own content, it will bring spammers out in even bigger numbers.

So if you really want to share to try to "educate offliners", make your post with no links, no video embed, no reference to your website or offer. I bet it gets approved just fine then.

It wasn't a link to my own video. It was a video demonstrating a real-world transaction in regards to illustrating what I was discussing in my post. It was posted on YT by one of our participating developers and wasn't "promotional" at all. Even when I tried to repost with just the link, it was rejected.

The rest of the post was indeed informative and pretty detailed, with no selling or promotion whatsoever. My goal with that post was to get some interest from offliners in what I consider to be a pretty radical global project, and build a core group who will help us get it off the ground in the future. In any case, the admins didn't even tell me why it was rejected. As a long time WF member, and longtime paying advertiser, I'm pretty sure that I was entitled to at least that, don't you think?

Is this the same reason my comments are automatically marked as spam and need to be approved every time I reply to a post?

I thought at first it might have been something I wrote but it seems that every comment I make needs to be approved before it shows up in the thread.

Is there a certain threshold I need to reach before I just can reply and have it show up automatically? Or am I relegated to the potential spam zone forever?

All of my comments do eventually make it to the post but it's hours or days later so they get buried.

You should have received a PM both times...but here are the reasons listed...

    1st thread -
pure promotion - place a paid ad
    2nd thread -
Duplicate of unapproved thread. Don't post this again or else face a ban.
The thread mentions you are 'hiring' and suggests people can 'contact me' - and you've been a member long enough to know what is and is not 'promotional'.

The problem with 'for hire' threads affects many members here at the moment and gabriel has posted about it. The problem is being fixed, we're told, but will take time. It's not just your thread that was accidentally relocated to 'legacy'.

Nope, got no PM's or emails on that at all. Thanks for clarifying (finally). Maybe you guys should check on why PM's aren't getting to your members in regards to these issues maybe.

TBC, I initially thought that the original post was rejected because of the video embed code in it. And yes, I've been a member long enough to know what is and isn't promotional, and I honestly didn't think I was being promotional at all, especially since I'm not selling anything. And no, not looking to "hire" anyone either. Simply looking for people who are on the ground talking to businesses who like the concept and want to be part of what we're working on (it's an open source project, btw).

Again, this would have been something good to have been informed of via an email or PM so I didn't think I had to post a whole new post in the WFH section. I'm glad that you're aware of the problem, but it would have been great if I (and probably many other posters) would have been made aware in a timely manner as well.

Thanks for the replies in any case.

Your PM box may be full? I know other members are receiving their notices.

For further info about the 'Marketplace problem' - please read Gabriel's posts in the thread linked below.

Yes, I'm aware now. Just find how this whole thing is being handled to be rather off-putting. Also don't appreciate the fact that you guys accepted my $20 payment to post on the new WFH section without even addressing this matter, or offering me the $1 coupon. I also find it a bit disturbing that this issue regarding comments/feedbacks from the legacy threads has still not been addressed. It's been more than a month now.

still not showing up and ive paid
      edit:

If I click on that link it takes me to your offer - and I can see where you POSTED in that offer two days ago. If you edited the thread when you bumped it it may be pending re-approval of changes.

Your thread states "Updated Nov 27, 2018" - that was yesterday....if you changed the offer it is likely waiting for Admin to check it out.

Go to the stickies in the main section of the fourm - and read the one with a title that says 'old sellers'

The thread you linked to is dated 2014. Old threads are being closed. Sellers need to bring WSO ads into compliance with the rules in the 'sticky' Gabriel posted.

This is not new - first announcement was made in October and there have been many threads/posts about the issue since then.

My post was removed for "self-promotion / non-linked spam"
I was just asking for marketing advice for my new fiverr gig, it isn't even created yet. How do I go about getting my thread approved so I can get advice?

      Thanks in advance

This would quality as a promo thread since you seemingly posted a link to your services.

If you repost the thread, without the link or reference to your username on Fiverr, it will likely be approved.

You should consider starting a Warriors For Hire thread to advertise your sevices.

Hey thanks for responding, the weird thing about it is, I didn't even mention my fiverr profile or anything of that nature. I only have a fiverr buyer account not even a seller over there yet. The ebook I was referring to in the guide isn't even written yet either.

I did not post no links or anything pointing to a website.

I was only asking what would be a possible gig upsell if i were offer said gig

          What should I do?

    Hi Sir,
last night I paid for thread bumping. But, I have not seen any bump so I thought about PayPal problem.
Thats why I have reported it to the PayPal.
But now, I am seeing that , WF has deleted my thread.
    Why??
What is my fault in this matter?

You only need to glance at your PayPal activity to know whether a payment has been successful.

We'd gather then that you complained to PayPal in a bid to report not receiving services to acquire a refund.

You are right to raise complaint, but be sure to be clear what you want now (a bump or a refund), in light of the complications you've experienced, since announcing a PayPal escalation as ransom to prompt action won't work.

Unfortunately, many people are trying to stand on each others shoulders, trying different tactics to deem their case more important.

The bottom line is that there's a significant problem at the moment and everyone is in the same boat.

Hopefully, it's going to be rectified soon...

I have tried to bump it but it did not. So, I asked the paypal to pay me back for that failed transaction & MSGed the Mod to help me.
I am ready to pay the amount to bump but solve the technical error at first.

Please make my OLD Thread Alive again.

    Hello Gabriel,
I've just discovered that some of my earlier WSO threads are in "closed" status now and not showing, and some don't show closed status but still not showing. I can access them through earlier saved links but they do not show in WSO marketplace when I put search term keywords for the thread title. Also one of my former customers emailed me asking about one of my products (One Page Wiz) which he now wasn't able to locate.

Could you please look into it? They don't seem to violate any rules of the forum.
