Why was my thread moved from the Warriors For hire section? Does that section not exist anymore? Is there a way to bump my thread? I got a lot of customers from this thread, and don't see a way to bump it now

There was a problem that caused many threads to be moved to 'legacy' - Gabriel is moving them to their correct locations as quickly as he can.

I'm sure this will be quickly corrected - but can't give you an exact time frame.

    Hi there,

I was wondering if there would be any movement on this for my thread. I'm currently hunting for clients and really could use the bump that the WF used to give me.

    Thank you

I expect to see updates (probably right after the first of the year). New Admin is workingon plans t correct problems and move forward.

I know it's been a long haul for sellers - but I think things will improve rapidly before long.

I haven't run a WSO in over 5 years. Maybe this new admin will make it worth while to do so. Just wondering, is there a reason we don't know who it is? I only hope he/she is a full time Freelancer employee, who doesn't get distracted by his "other" hustle.

If YOU think things will get better around here, then I'll start preparing for the long awaited new and improved WF. Thanks for all you do, hope the new admin heeds your advice.

I know you are talking to Kay but here's my take for what it's worth.

He's getting everything together including his new team and I'm sure an official announcement will be coming soon.

He is dedicated to this and has already started digging in hard on the multitude of issues that haven't been properly handled including things that haven't ever been done right.

I've given the last couple sets of new admins a chance because they seemed dedicated to change things for the better and were willing to listen. For a while at least.

Some of that worked out but most of it didn't even with the likable fellows so I got pretty jaded and frustrated about the whole deal and any new hope started dying pretty quickly.

But, now I truly have hope really for the first time that we have a chance to turn things around for the better. I am 100% on board with the new boss because I believe he is the one that can turn things around - maybe the first one of all the admins. He may be the one foretold by the ancients we've been waiting for. LOL

It's not going to be overnight though because there is a lot to do. So, yes prepare for a new future but don't expect it to be ready/fixed by a certain date or any artificial deadline.

        Mark

PS I'm putting the jaded feelings on hold but could it all be just one more disappointing episode that will lead nowhere? Yes - we aren't stupid or naive enough to think otherwise. But he's already doing things NONE of them have done and he's just barely getting started.

We ALL have given Freelancer a chance to allow WF to live up to its potential.

So, we'll see. One thing I am sure of, won't be a "marketplace" if they keep taking people's money and the people don't get what they pay for.

This new person, good luck...but, let's acknowledge that his best intentions and efforts are really NOT within his control, and there is pretty big 400 pound gorilla to answer to, and from what we've seen, they want more beans from this pot.

WE don't know what goes on behind the scenes or who, at whatever cubicle, really has the power to make decisions. Maybe Matt will show up and reassure us all, that FL cares or even knows about WF...I suspect that it wasn't even looked after this past year and the admin, wasn't very supervised.

Admins don't need micro management, but they do need to be doing what they are being paid for.

Again, time will tell. I think 90 days will give US an idea of where WF is headed.

Not sure why but my WSO has taken 2 weeks and is still pending. Have sent several support emails and I always get the email that they are looking into it. Not so confident about this forum anymore.

I am having the same issue; I worked as a service provider in warrior for hire section for the last eight years. I paid 1000s of the dollars to WF and had earned over 400 positive reviews with only one negative review; now even I can't show those reviews to my potential new clients.
Admin, please sort out this issue as soon as possible. These reviews are very important for all us out here who have worked on the forum for years, these are not only our review about our work, but it's like a storybook for most of us out here, even if I have to pay a fee for keeping my thread alive, I am willing to pay for it.
    Regards

That thread moved to legacy due to being closed in early October. It was not part of the threads that were moved in error. Inactive and unsupported threads are eventually closed.

In 2017 - 8 months passed without questions in the thread being answered - last post was Sept 17 and that question has not been answered. It can still be used as a 'reference' link but will not be active.
The ad is no longer 'for hire' but an ad for your site and for different services.

Yeah almost 4 weeks now and waiting. The question is why do they take the money and then sit on it for weeks? Why not say thread has been approved now pay up. Bad practice IMO. If they cant do their jobs, dont take your money first.

That thread is closed. You can use the legacy link as a reference - or you can copy/paste the reviews in a new thread.

If you want a 'for hire' ad running you will need to resubmit a new ad. There is no 'reopen' for that ad.

When you have an ad on this forum you are required to answer questions posted by members. You did that for several years but then ignored the questions for months at a time. The ad itself is removed - has been replaced with different offers - and is no longer the same thread that was approved years ago.

The reviews are yours and you can copy them - but that old thread is closed.

    Hi
My WSO has been moved to the legacy section of the forum.

Is there any way that I can bump it in the same way as before.

    Thanks Gary
