Is This a Genuine Email From the Warrior Forum?

Hi,

One of the emails that Gmail put in the Spam folder claims to be from the Warrior Forum. The sender's email is listed as: noreply@edm.warriorforum.com
and it was sent Friday March 8 at 6:48am EST

I opened it and it looks like it could be genuine, telling of new changes to the forum.

But as it's in the Spam folder I am reluctant to click on the link.

Can anyone verify if it's genuine please?

Thanks

I can't say for certain but most posts from the admins and mods are usually signed by whoever wrote it. However, I haven't been here for a while and that may be something that has changed. I would contact the help desk before opening it.

Yes, the forum has new admins and things are going to be changing. They are asking for opinions.

It's a sign of how poorly the interaction between Warrior Forum and members has been in recent past that you don't trust an email from 'admin'.

If you look up 'Freelancer' you will find that Australia address listed.

Probably should be an announcement here about sending out the email - I'll pass that on to Admin Monday.

      Thanks Kay,

I no doubt would have trusted it had Google not put it in the spam folder. I don't know why Google did that exactly. Possibly because there have been spammers in the past who put "WSO" or Warrior Forum in their emails?
