$37 seems an excellent investment to make in exchange for access to so much powerful marketing information uncluttered by spam. If this move helps maintain the integrity of the forum, then I'm all for it!

YES!!!

I"ve noticed those spammers with zero posts creating blog after blog for spamming and indexing too. They were starting to get to me. This is a positive move.

In my opinion such decisions will boost the forum, like we will get some more active members.

And hopefully will make warrior forum as a better palce for web masters.

Thanks for it.

I understand. Quite a few feel the same way. Good luck with whatever you do.

I am curious though, what exactly has changed for you?

Less private message storage space would actually make you leave?

Is it because you can't post a WSO as a free member?

The truth is if anyone else owned this forum the cost to run a WSO would have been at least $100 quite some time ago. So I wouldn't think that would be the reason.

Just curious..

Jason, I think you misunderstand. I know exactly what Pete is saying.

He and I paid $49.95 to join the Warrior forum as LIFETIME

We had all of the privileges that are being sold again for
$37.00.

I can't put words in Pete's mouth, but I think he's saying.

We already paid for this once.

Eventhough I am not a war room member and still have to upgrade my account in order to have access to all the possibilities I think that this is a great idea. It will make the forum much better. And to the people that are complaining about this: Even if the upgraded membership would cost 100$ it would still be more than acceptabel. just look at what you got here. You can ask everything that you need to ask and get helped by some great IMers.

I will upgrade in the next days I think.

Id also make the WSO forum a PAID section of the site, just to see the offers!!!

That forum has become like shooting fish in a barrel for the warez/share/black-h-a-t crowd.

Just a thought.

It might take the time your wso product ends up on media fire or other douchebag forums as a free download from 20 seconds to 5 days ... A guy might b able to cover the w so cost and a few bumps before he's being stolen blind.

WOW! THANKS! I always kind of hated the fact that some got here without even paying you a penny, etc... The fact that so many give ways to rip people off, etc... certainly didn't help.

Anyway, this will help a LOT!

Steven Wagenheim,

You probably took advantage of what I did. An empty room wouldn't sell well. ALSO, he needed some good press. So some of the members that had a history were allowed by allen to have it for free, for a time. For the record though, I paid for a product, I believe it was called warrior pro, and this was included. I since made a few other purchases. So I didn't come here for NOTHING.

And people will misread or not see the price, so sales will be a LOT lower than they would otherwise be.

Yea I know what you mean about "A certain Forum" putting up our downloads and it does suck.

BUT if the WSO was paid to read only then that would drastically cut down on the amount of overall sales you would make.

Piracy will always be an issue... Even if it is paid members only who says a paid member wont repost the WSO elsewhere?

I think making the WSO section paid only would be detrimental.

Hi Blase,

That's not actually true. The Warrior Forum is still here and you can access it freely. What you bought originally was access to the Warrior Private Site, which still exists.

No one bought the right to post WSO's or blogs or social groups...

Going to join it soon.

I am sure, now we will find more quality wsos.

I have seen people here selling ripoff guides here as a wso, since now it is required to be a war room member to post a wso, so this will keep all those wso scammers away.

Very good step taken.

Thanks

Hello,

Allen

The WSO needs to have higher standard, Over all marketers in general
need to have higher standard, but that is another problem.

Offers need to have less hype and explain more in detail of what you get
if a ebook how many pages should be a rule. The table of contents
need to be included in the wso ad every time.

If you have not done it don't try to sell it rule.

The WSO might need to be raised up to 30 to 50 bucks to keep the
trash out, no more cheap items for sale.

If you pay 50 bucks and try to sell a 7 dollar book you need to sell
over 7 to break even, these little reports now need to have a lot more
content then sold for say 27.00 that raises the bar to produce a better
product.

I would like to see a higher post count say 300 or 500 before a wso
can be made, even the thank you count be added in there also, to cover
the junk post spammers who try to get a fast 300 post.

If you want to raise it do it right

I sent you a PM with access details for the old private site..

The $37 will not stop all our problems, that's not going to happen. What it will do is vastly reduce a certain type of person I don't want here. I'd really rather not go into fine details on that in public but there is no doubt that a major source of our troubles will be reduced and will help keep this forum at a level that's at least readable.

Pete,

I'm with you. I became a Warrior all those years ago and paid money to do it. Then came along the private posts and I paid for them though I was miffed because I thought my payment all those years ago was for "lifetime" access -- which apparently has a very different definition in cyberspace.

Some of us took a chance on Allen all those years ago. This isn't about the money, it is about standing on principle. I didn't mind the fees to list WSOs because that really is/was a sort of add on bonus feature that was never mentioned originally. But access to all the private warrior stuff was -- or at least that is the way it was laid out when I became a warrior.

Rhonda are you serious?

Private Posts was supposed to be given away free to you?

So that means I was never supposed to create another product for sale after you became a Warrior member?

Seriously?

Private Posts was a series of blog posts, they had nothing to do with the Warrior Forum. I find it hard to believe that you expect everything I create in the future for free just because you joined the Warriors years ago.

I don't think this is a big deal.

The entire forum used to be a paid forum, and some of us laugh every day at our ROI.

Everyone now still gets access to the forum for free. Heck of a deal.

The War Room has always had a fee, but now, if you want to "use" the forum in a way beyond what is a typical forum use, there is a membership fee.

Seem like a melding of the forum with features from the old Warrior Mastermind. Basically, pay your $37 and you get to use the forum Allen has built-up to directly sell products, create a blog to pimp whatever, and create your own little social networking group.

You could create your own website or find some vanilla 2.0 site ... or would you rather pay $37 and have years of marketing expertise and thousands of people with similar interests and desires dropped in your lap?

My only question is ... why wasn't someone already a member of the War Room if they were serious about making money and not just here to spam or try for a scammed buck?

Chomping!

I did read it correctly, and I did take umbrage, however, I was not casting aspersions (two words that I know know how to spell correctly!)

I was simply pointing out that it is not always possible to instantly find what others class as a tiny amount of cash and I think my thanks percentage is pretty reasonable, considering

I AM taking action, but have only just started doing so, even though I have been a member here for years, so I know it will take a while to start to see profits.

I sure didn't mean to imply that you were always unhelpful. Just that I personally found the 'pep talk' so.

/me holds out a hand .... truce??? You can explain what a Brucey bonus is should anyone ask

Criticise me when your percentage of thanks on posts
is at least on a par with mine.

If you researched my posts you would see that I love
helping out other people on this forum and often do so
without charging for my services, because I care about
the welfare of other people.

My point, if you want it more simply, is that whilst you
were penning that reply, you could take some action,
that would very easily give you $37 which you could
invest in the War Room... whereupon your investment
would pay for itself, many times over.

If you can't take the action for just over £20 for a full
20 year membership to such a valuable resource of
information, that could earn you easily your mortgage
payments per month and more, as stated, there's
something wrong.

You can't afford not to join The War Room!

Mark, of the got through the last recession in this country
'class', without going under - and is absolutely determined
to hold my head up high in this recession too and succeed
as well as possible.

The only way one is going to do that is by taking the action
required, to get one, where one wants to go.

You have the choice to either quit on action or
take the action that gets you the results that you desire.

Refer to me a client and you get £59 for your cv - simple!

And I'll throw in a Brucey bonus just for you, your War Room
Membership FREE.

Chomp on that.

I am happy the forum is being improved and many spammers will not bother is they have to pay. Changed is often good, but resisted. I knee-jerk reaction was:

The downside, in my opinion, is that the War Room will be devalued. All old posts will now be bumped to to top of the forum. It will be harder to track new posts.

Hopefully the changes will improve the War Room as well as fight spammers.

Rhonda, I disagree.

When you paid to be a Warrior Forum member, as did I, it was for access to a forum. We still have access to that.

"Private Posts" is just one of many other products Allen has created and sold over the years. Personally, I've bought every product I could find ... starting with those old .exe 'ebooks', and I've additionally paid to have resale rights to some.

(Coincidentally, I have 'Internet Cash Machine - Rule the World' - copyright 2000 - open right now.)

The point being, Allen has created multiple products. Buying one product, even forum access, does not include freebies for all other products Allen has created - or may ever create.

There is no reason to be 'miffed' that Allen has generously given some (but not all) of his products to paying members.

This is a great decision.

Allen is like the only marketer who can command a massive change from free to paid, and have almost everyone agreeing with it, standing up and clapping (including myself).

Who needs gurus? We got legends.

Well, this all sounds like a good move. $37 is a very very reasonable amount, and for those that live in countries where that is a lot more (relatively) - well you make a lot more when you sell a report (relatively) - so no need for anyone to whine

Wonderful news! I've been debating the War Room upgrade for some time now, waiting for the right moment to join... now I have no doubt I have made the best decision of my IM career in upgrading my account.

IM IN!

we knew about them then.

Where is the "Private Site"?
And here all these years I thought this was it.

I do have one more question, why is $37.00 going to
stop all of the spammers? If I were a spammer I'd pay that
to be here.

Thanks,

Yeah, we DID have free WSOs! That changed only a few years back. I think Allen means that the warrior forum was a premium, and WSOs weren't an advertised feature, etc... In fact, ORIGINALLY, there was no special place for them. BUT, a few years ago, he changed the rules and abilities, so wsos can't be easily offered, etc... So I think technically he's right.

As for the private site, I think he is talking about what I think used to be called warrior pro. It has a lot of documents, etc... It is a pity I never worked as hard as I should have, etc... SOME claimed they made THOUSANDS just selling what was there, since 80%+ had resell rights or was public domain. I don't remember the URL myself off hand. I keep meaning to check it out. ANYWAY, in the center of that was a link to the warrior forum.

Thanks Allen.
I'm not a WSO seller, but I am a frequent purchaser and lately it's been a pain trying to separate the good from the trash. I hope this improves the quality of WSO offerings.

The War Room is without a doubt the best IM value on the internet.

Not a good move. It was easy to spot those people who are spamming the forum. Since I have no paypal account, looks like I will be left out.

You don't need to have a Paypal account to pay with Paypal. You can use any credit/debit card.

Hi Allen this is a great move and should be a big help with the spamming problem.

And it seems there where still people who didn't know about the fantastic war room, so you've done them a favour also, now they know what they've been missing.

I know I shouldn't be amazed that anyone is complaining but I am, (shakes head).
