It deters them because they now have no motivation to post 30 pointless one-liners so they can qualify to post a WSO -- unless they also want to pay the $37 to become a War Room member. Some of them probably will pay it, but many won't so the junk posts should decrease by quite a bit as soon as they realize what's going on (admittedly it might take awhile since they don't read anything here, just post n' run).

What's in it for you was already addressed, but maybe that doesn't affect your goals here. If you don't want to run WSO's or learn valuable marketing information that's not available in the main forums, then a membership probably isn't worth it for you - but you can still use the regular features as a free member anyway.

I'm sure some people have no desire to be War Room members, and maybe never will - as far as I know Allen isn't planning to close down the public areas and there is still plenty of great info shared there so people can still benefit even if they don't want to or can't pay for the War Room.

Kezz, I agree with everything you said . . . except it's .154 cents per month! Less than 2/10ths of a cent! (.154 x 12 = 1.85 per year x 20 years = $37)

I'm not a math whiz, I just play one when I use a calculator. LOL

(My point being, that an even MORE ludicrous price!)

Fair enough if someone doesn't have the money to pay for membership, but that doesn't give anyone the right to demand that they get something for free.
Every time you send a PM, load a thread, post a comment - that costs the WF money. It's really quite unfair to complain about that not being completely free.

2. The price that is charged, is ludicrously cheap!

15.4 cents a month

THAT would make me some money I can assure you...
Sounds like a great idea ... and the money could go toward a good cause.

Might I even suggest an even higher fee, and only the most basic features for non-paying users.

After all, anyone can still read and learn from the forum, serious users will happily contribute.

Seems like there a few people complaining about forking over $37.

The War Room is like walking into a library and having all the "How To" books laid out in a row.

Look, the value of $37 is relative to the person who spends it. To some $37 is easy to come by, others it might be all they have in their account. I can say the only reason I could pony up the $37 was because I sold off my licensing for vBulletin and ExpressionEngine so I could get the tools I need to start in on this. Otherwise, I would not have been able to join.

Now, saying that, I must say that the admin here is actually being pretty liberal in his limitation for public viewing and registration. I would have been more conservative with the features that are available to free members even to the point that they could read threads, but not post at all.

I'm still going through the information in the War Room, there is a ton of it there. I like how it is being run and I think it's a great value for $37.

Maybe the same affect could be achieved by removing the 30 post requirement to post a WSO. What do you think ?
Nope. That would just let the creeps come in and post scammy WSOs and run. Which they would do, in a heartbeat.
If killing spam was really the objective, I think this would have been the smartest move.
Well, with your vast experience of the way this forum works, I'm sure that's something to be considered. And it's nice of you, in your first 2 weeks, to call the owner of the place a liar. Snazzy intro.

Allen knows what he's doing. If he didn't, this place would have collapsed under its own weight years ago.

SEO, this is from the first post....

Those who upgrade to a Full Warrior Member will be able to:

* Post Warrior Special Offers

* Get Instant Access To The War Room

* Be Able To Create Their Own Warrior Forum Blog

* Be Able To Create Their Own Warrior Forum Social Group

* Will Have No Restrictions On Private Messages And Will Be Able to Store Up To 400 Messages

Why this change has been made:

The forum is getting overrun with "less than acceptable" people who have discovered how easy it is to make money with Warrior Special Offers and that they can get a site indexed within minutes by posting a junk blog on the forum.

I deleted 7 blogs last night that were made by people with zero posts to their name. These are not serious members, these are spammers.

It's been my experience that people who pay for something respect it more and are at least willing to read the rules.

I know this will not stop all the problems but it will drastically cut down on them.

Thank you for understanding..

I can't believe the whining over $37.

If you don't have it, go write 10 articles for somebody for $3.70 per article, or 20 articles for $2.00 each (keep the change), or mow somebody's lawn, or two lawns, or wash 5 or 10 or 20 cars, or whatever. Good grief.

By the way, some are now going to have access to the War Room, and kick themselves for not getting in sooner when they see some of the stuff in there.

Many of us who paid the $37 did so because it's an investment on having a better future which we can work towards. But if you see it as an expense rather than an asset then maybe you need to reconsider why and what you're doing here. I hope you'd focus on it being money well spent which can change your life and others.

p.s. Thanks Allen!

Sigh...

$37 bucks. One time. Just $37 bucks...and you get to sell stuff to one of the best marketplaces in the world. Not to mention access to diamonds, pearls and gold nuggets of wisdom (among other things)

Just $37 and you get to start a potentially lucrative business.

Know how much I'm paying in lease and rental alone for my little B & Ms, per month? It's daylight robbery, I tell you. And that's not counting the overheads, and it's nowhere as lucrative as an online business, comparatively speaking...and...and....

Sigh...

It's just $37 bucks. One time...

After a few years of lurking and then registering earlier this year and still lurking, i quickly decided to kick in and contribute to what has essentially been a source of my internet success.

The decision was easy since the recent changes kicked in: not bashing individuals/products, and the mass cleansing along with the paid membership.

My $37 is yours!

I have to say, after checking out the War Room: WOW! I'm digging it. It's another level in there and quite simply better than guru products/courses/offers that are out there. I'm going to actually lose an entire day in there getting caught up.

Many of you may not know me, but after more than a year of reading and learning and experiencing things on my own from the information gathered here (while lurking,) I salute you and join you fellow warriors.

I'll still probably lurk though, except maybe i'll login and lurk now

Cheers,

Daniel

I agree the price of a WSO should be raised, maybe that will cut down on the junk WSOs being offered. I am very cautious about purchasing WSOs because most of the ones I have purchased were worthless in my opinion, some just re-writes of PLR content freely available from a free membership site I belong to.

So will it still cost $20 to post on WSO's? Or will we now have unlimited post in the WSO sub forum for this one time fee?

I agree that what you pay for you appreciate, that being said I have been interested in the War Room Member Status for some time....

Please respond in regards to the WSO posting fee's after this new paid implementation.

Thanks!

Yes, I believe it will still be $20 to post WSO's.

The difference is that if you don't pay the $37 fee, you won't be able to post a WSO at any price. Plus you'll get access to a lot of former WSO's and tons of great advice.

Hope that answers your question.

I would like to make a suggestion on the new policy....

The new policy states that submissions to the Warriors Special Offers Forum is only available to War Room Members. But it now seems that Non-War Room Members can pay the $20 fee to bump their post in the Warriors Special Offers Forum.

I would like to suggest that Non-War Room Members are no longer allowed to bump their post to the top in this forum.

What are your thoughts?

As for the comment about if people can not afford the $37 how can they expect to earn $100's or $1000's is verging on the side of arrogance. To me that read as "how can you expect to make it without full access to the forums"
Also if the fee is to stop people getting their hand on WSO easily, has it not occurred to you that if these same people know they are going to make more than $37 out of it they will cough up the fee for the upgrade anyway.
The access to the war room buy paying for the upgrade is good news as it means the war room will not be viewed as an ellitist club for the boys, and the fact you will not have to get on the good side of one of the boys to get your invite.
Dont get me wrong, i will still post and visit the forums as i think the knowledge already here is excellent. I probably will not pay for the upgrade untill i have earned some more money. In fact i may come back once i have made a couple of $100 just to prove you wrong that you do not need to be a full member of this forum to make money online.
To block people who have not paid the upgrade fee from offering WSO is just putting another herdle in front of people trying to get started. In fact i have just had a great idea, would anyone like to recive my WSO, its based on setting up a forum site where you can post WSO for free ?

The War Room never required you to 'be nice to a bunch of elitist boys' - it has always been paid access, the only change is the fact it is now required to post a WSO.

The point isn't to get the upgrade fees, so it doesn't really matter if people coud pay for it out of WSO earnings. They have always been able to do that - the point is, that WF is moving away from that - this about maintaining quality in the WSO forum, not getting War Room members.

You seem to have a whole bunch of wrong ideas about the War Room - I guess with five posts though you are very new to the site. Of course you can earn 100s without joining the war room - go for it.

This is great news and a great move.

The fee is the first thing I paid when I registered my account and did not think twice about doing it.

I am amazed at how many people are even questioning a $37 one-time fee to access golden nuggets that if implemented can make them 100 fold (or choose your number) of that.

Now the thing is that this forum costs money to maintain. But I don't see any complaints about that part. You know the part about accessing a forum for FREE that you can just come and post a question about a problem and get instant answers from some of the best and experienced people on the net.

I just see that $37 has tripped people up some so bad that they say they are leaving the forum or that this is just unfair.

Well it costs money to host, it costs money for the domain, it costs money to manage and it just costs money period to run this forum. Allen is still giving EVERYONE access to this forum FREE of charge even though many members used to pay for it. So even in the FREE section there are so many golden nuggets that its unreal. They are there, but you gotta just look for them.

And if this $37 fee is gonna wipe you out, then maybe you should really question are you really ready for IM. I mean can you even take the FREE information and utilize or implement a money making idea? Are you really capable of making money online if this small amount of money is a question mark in your head.

The fact remains that many people are still under the guise that they can make a gazillion dollars online with just a pc, a paypal account and access to the internet. Yeah for some it will work but for the mass it won't.

This is a business and a business usually requires an investment or some sacrifice of some sorts to get the ball rolling.

Also I think that it should also be mentioned that absolutely no one has to give anyone anything for free. It just seems as though many think that they are entitled to have this for free and have forgotten that others have worked hard, and bumped their heads and lost money and yet will come here and give you guidance for nothing in return so that you don't go through the same thing.

~Yeah I'm working on it~

I am a war room member. When I first saw this thread, I
was ready (and willing) to shell out 37 bucks. Then I saw
that I was already in. Cool!
Allen, great job. I support you and this forum 100%

I joined the forum back in 2006 and then paid to join the war room when it first came into play. I come and read more than I post since the many, many top marketers have already answered better than I could. There is no better forum on the net nor do the others have all the clout this one has.

When I joined and was told that it had gone free it did not take me long to see the value that we got for free so paying for the war room was no problem and I think that things will only get better now that you are going back to paid.

Thanks Allen for such a great place to learn and grow and it will only get better now.

Regards,

Steve,

You could just Paypal the money to me and I could just hand the money
to Allen the next time that I see him :-)

Wait... I've never seen Allen.

Maybe your idea is better.

Great idea Allen.

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status

I never understood why the warrior forum became a free access site after
it was a paid membership. Many affiliates started out earning their first
commissions long before paypal was even heard of.

I do understand why the herd wants to be great cheerleaders in this
change over once again.

There is no problem with the $37 fee whether it is for 20 years or
20 months. The problem I have with all of this; (BTW I expect to be
the lone ranger here) is this:

How many people need to pay the $37 or how much time needs to pass
before the war room becomes free to all? Then do we do this again?

I expect to be pounced on for saying that, but it comes from the heart.
The money is not the issue. I have paid for access many years ago and
I don't mind doing it again. I have paid for access to special divisions of
the old warrior forum before only to see it disappear.

I know it is far more popular to be a cheerleader and agree with the
movers and shakers of this forum. And no doubt that is the smart thing
to do. I guess I just revealed how low my IQ is.

Hi FG,

This is not paying for anything that was sold before. It might seem that way to a long time member here but it is not.

The Herd Mind forum was closed. It was never meant to stay open forever. Same with the Warrior Alliance, it was a monthly deal and I made a decision to close it.
