I didn't have the foresight to become a War Room Member before the change, but that's okay. It is a shame that spammers ruin things for everyone, but it is what it is. I'm happy to see any site take a strong stand against the lowlifes.

I'm not a mod or anything like that, but let me throw in my two cents...

Joy, you need to upgrade to a paid member in order to post to a blog. So you still have access to the main parts of the forum, but until you upgrade you won't have access to the private forum, you'll have limited PM capabilities, you can't post a WSO and you can't do things like maintain a blog.

Actually, I am not sure if I ever pay for the Full Membership, I only remember I paid before, at least for the classified ads. Anyway, I have created a ticket at the support forum already.
Paying for classified ads and WSO ads is separate from paying to become a member.

Just think of it as a placing an ad in a newspaper. Paying for a classified ad doesn't automatically mean you get a subscription to the paper. Same thing here. Paying for an ad doesn't give you membership rights.

Hope that helps.

The War Room is a forum full of free products, plans, etc from members and from Allen. For example, people are giving away their WSO products inside the War Room. Basically, it's a treasure trove of products and information for one low price.

Run a search for "war room" to get testimonials from plenty of satisfied people (the War Room way overdelivers based on price -- it's easy to find single threads in there that are worth MORE than the price of admission).

2) After upgrading my membership, Do i need to pay $20 as well to post in WSO?
Yes -- read Allen's posts in this thread for more information. But the short answer is yes... upgrading gives you the privilege of posting a WSO, but you need to pay the $20 each time.

I agree, $37 is quite low, but will bring quality and serious business people to this forum. I would gladly pay $97 or even $1000 for what this forum has done for my business. The value of this forum in itself is worth a lot more; relationships, and learning.

Thanks Allen for doing this!

I totally agree. Surely, being a premium member is worth an investment. If they cant shell a few bucks , then premium members can be given a little bit of VIP treatment. just my 2 cents.

I also run local forum for my hometown and i also delete the SPAMMERS accounts posts and topics on weekly basis. The decision you have taken is great and much appreciated. I will also apply the same policy to keep maintain my forum quality as well.

This is great news, Allen! I joined the War Room a long time ago, but wasn't in the forum so much lately because it was getting so spammy. I'm so glad I came back to take a look and found you're doing something about that!
I didn't feel I could afford the fee at the time, either, but I felt I couldn't afford NOT to join. The same people who complain about $37 probably spent a few hundred or thousands, even, buying junk ebooks, programs, and such that got them nowhere, anyway.
I, for one, am glad you're keeping the value in WF. I hope you'll keep the value in WSO's, too, so we aren't offered junk there. This place is a goldmine, and I so appreciate it!
Thank you.

Kudos to the Allen for taking charge and cleaning things up. It's really difficult in a tight knit community to make bigger changes like this, but they almost always work out for the best in the long run. I've been a War Room member for awhile now and it was one of the best purchases I've ever mad online, Hands Down.

LoL. At least we can pay for private membership. It's not like other forums you have to be invited by an established member. Or be part of the forum for a certain number of months. Or is the fee so high you pray you made the right decision in buying the membership.

SO cheers WF admins. You are a bunch of understanding guys.

Thanks to Allen for making a bold decision, and for long-time members to share their thoughts. There is value in this forum, much more than lots of ebooks put together. I have noted several valuable people, and to be able to connect with them is a big thing in itself. Best Wishes/Ryan

With 100+ sites, I see 80% pages indexed in Google, but only 20% in Yahoo and 10% in MSN Bing. Despite spending billions, Yahoo/MSN can't even index web pages well yet. Do you see opportunity?

Any chance you can make that a 2-Level Membership instead of just 1 Level? Make it $37 and $67 - coach and 1st class - everyone still gets there at the same time. One is just a bit more comfortable and the food is better! That will help make access to the jokers less appealing. They will be spotted easier in a smaller group and won't be as likely to show up.

I retired in 2005 at 43 and now I give away websites like these for FREE [hosting excluded]
When you make at least $100+ per month, we split the profit 80/20 and YOU get the 80% Until then, you keep 100% and I'll help you drive traffic, get backlinks and put the domain in your name too!

Very good, this change was needed. I saw the value of the war room and joined long ago, about the time it was first started I think.

I haven't run any WSOs for a very long time because it seemed overall that the whole WSO section had been somewhat cheapened. I do have stuff that I think is of good value to fellow warriors, so perhaps I'll rethink this and try again.

Thanks for the good work Allen, it is appreciated.

I've not been a long term warrior but I've found it incredibly useful (albeit sifting thru much woo haa at times).

Being still in initial learning stages of online marketing I've had a few aaahhh moments from reading others points of views. I do hope to be able to contribute to the forum and find useful products. Anything that creates a benchmark of quality is a fine step.

I know myself that I favour the comments made by those who are collaborators in the forum so that is the way I intend to operate.

Many thanks for such a wonderful resource - when at times, sitting staring at a computer screen and not knowing WTF to do next can often be overcome by a curious exploration through the warrior forum corridors.

Looking forward to connecting with warriors.

Hi Allen,

I haven't been here in far too long, but I'll be on a lot more in the future. And you can bet I'll be coughing up for full access to The War Room.

There's a persistent attitude out there that everything on the 'Net should be free. But at the same time, people just don't value something they haven't shelled out some bucks to acquire. Making the switch back to a paid model can only improve the site.

Thanks!

Hello, I'm new here. I just found this place today. Actually I'm not even sure how I found this site but I've been here all day reading, reading, and reading some more. Now I read that you will charge for full membership.. I see some of your members thinking this will chase people away. I will actually stay because of this. I think this move will increase the value and quality of the WSO's. I see some excellent products here, but I don't know if this is the road I want to travel. However, I am certainly going to spend some time here reading and if I stay I certainly will become a full member. I might even become a member just because of all the information I've already consumed today.

Thanks for having me.

It will probably be a while before I upgrade to paid status since currently I do no have the extra money to do so. However, on a postive note 1) I did finally started getting a decent conversion rate with one of my affiliate programs (namely Real Networks, after earning $129 in commissions the last week) and 2) I now have 2 day jobs, and so I will plan on saving up and then upgrading.

Well, as a new member I often get this error message :

...you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. You may not have upgraded to a Full Warrior Member
Is that the "paid status" you are discussing here about ?

Thanks.

I'm definitely not a spammer or scammer and I will purchase this as soon as I have enough money to do so.

You are right, when people pay for things they value them more and are less prone to breaking rules that gives them access to it.

I plan on upgrading but I would also like some more information from paid members if possible.

Thanks,
Zack
