I just found this place by accident. I was watching Steve Nam videos and by the way they are excellent training tools. He gave a great plug for the Warrior site and said that any newbie like myself should hang there hat there and learn and join in on the forums, so this cowboy is placing his hat in the ring and looking forward to signing on as a paid member real soon. Hope to learn a ton of stuff, I have been surfing the Net and have found that I want to learn from a few Gurus and focus on taking the baby steps in network marketing that will eventually lead to my success. I have been in sales and marketing most of my life, but never a network marketer, so hoping to learn more about it. This seems like a great place to learn, thanks Allen, I will be joining real soon as a paid member.

My view from the drivers side

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

After reading through this thread, I have noticed several things. There are those that say the membership fee will drive people away, probably, but I believe that it will only be people who weren't serious about being here anyway.
Another thing is those saying that people that won't pay $37 aren't serious about their business. Some of us don't have $37, we're in one of the deepest recessions in a long and, for me personally, it knocked my offline business literally offline (IT Support, no contracts in months). Add to that the fact that Uncle Sam has screwed around with my Veteran's compensation, and that $37 becomes a bit of a stretch, otherwise I would have joined before now (and still will when everything gets straightened out).
Even without being a member though, the free information that you can get on this forum is beyond priceless. The number of successful people on here who freely share information is astounding. In the last few weeks I have gotten a lot of information just by reading what is freely available. I am now trying to figure out exactly what direction to take to get myself running online, after many years of stops and starts.
I actually joined here quite a few years ago (05-06 timeframe) but lost my username and password when the forums changed. (Just a sidenote, I gave up after an hour or so of trying to play with the captcha to recover my old information (vision impaired), and created a new profile.)

So this place is definitely worth it. And I'll be paying the $37 for the War Room, hopefully soon.

Regards,

JR

Glad to see the attempt at reducing spammers/scammers on here.

While I cannot currently afford $37 I think it is a good idea to reduce the WSOs to more serious offers.

I left a few months ago after trying to wade thru all the muck and honestly, I didn't know about the change until just a few minutes ago.

I would join but all the attempts I have made at making money have just failed and now I am stuck with virtually no money ( <$2) and close to being homeless.

Well, I better run off and see how it has changed the 'free' side of things.

Haven't been here for a while, I end up spending too much time in here but came back to join the War Room. Unless you are in financial strife it is a no brainer.

Having read a lot of the posts in this thread another perspective on it all occured to me and that is that forced membership of the War room might actually downgrade it's value.

Previously it had an exclusive aura to it, might that now be taken away? For instance, members gave away some of their best stuff in there, I believe because they were giving to a restricted audience. It will now be like it's being presented to the whole of the forum excluding only free members of whom there'll be a lot less.

As for spammers being deterred by payment, many of them think nothing of paying 50 bucks for a list of email addresses. I believe that more stringent rules and moderation would be more effective, make the *******s work for it, contribute, most of them wouldn't, that's why they're spammers in the first place.

I'm sure there are many members who would be willing to volunteer as moderators to keep the place clean.

Hi Allen,

Great news.. I am a newbie at this site and was a bit disappointed with all the nonsense and scam stuff I was seeing. Now that I see that you are bringing this board to a more professional level, I will opt for the Full Warrior Membership.

Hello Admin,
I am a new full-paid warrior member and I would like to know if I need to post 30 posts in the warrior forum, before I can place a free offer in the wso Warriors special offers area? Or does that only apply to non-paying members? Has that rule being discarded, and is it with immediate effect? Thanking you.

This place kind of looks like I'm gonna stick around for a bit

Great place Alen
Great people.
um... wait... where is me wallet?... $37 did u say??
only jk.

I'm sure a lot of new warriors like me might think that this may put them back a bit but If they look at the brighter side when they have a WSO it would be less crowded. They'll only see genuine forum posts/ WSOs/ blogs and everything will be nice and tidy. So if they can afford to cough up $37 now fair enough. If not they can still get most information free by only reading the posts and can go up to paid membership whenever they can.
Cheers Allen.

I will pay my $37 as soon as I get confirmation that free members as well as War Room members will still be able to see and respond to WSo's.

So, confirmation please!

Thanyou!

Wayne.
You can actually check this quite easily for yourself, without written confirmation. If you log out of the forum, you are effectively at the same status as a free member ie. - the forum only knows you are a War Room member once you are logged in.

If you log out, you'll be able to see that you have full access to read all areas of the forum apart from the War Room.

Hope that helps.

I'm very brand new to your forum... like just registered and I can understand the need to keep the spammers at bay.
I have to clear the records from the one line idiots out of several of my blogs periodically.

But could someone enlighten me as to what DP is or was?

Melosh, I think they are referring to Digital Point, but don't quote me on that.

On another note, I have been a member since it was originally a one time fee back in 99 I believe. Somewhere through the years I lost my original login and did resign up so my signup date does not reflect my original join date, though I've been around here a while, I just don't post a lot.

That said, WF has always been an excellent source and community.

I've just joined the War Room today as I missed all the notifications of the changes because I've been out of touch for a while, though I'm still IMing too. It's a no brainer, the info and community come no better than here.

Great stuff on the changes and as usual the content in the War Room is fantastic, well worth the cost.

Kudos to you Allen and the great forums as well as the original Warrior site that had all the great content, autoresponder script and other stuff! (Still got that original script around here somewhere.)

A really old time Warrior;

Re: Warrior Forum Going Back To Paid Status

This is good news because I actually don't post as much as I follow some good people on here, and read their post, I don't always post comments.
I didn't want to have to make 30 posts to put my WSO up either. This might be why I didn't post mine yet, because I didn't want to add to the forum unless I had something valuable to say.
This actually cleans up a huge amount of posts that are not helping anyone. I think you went the right path on this one.

So if I am clear on everything;
I no longer need 30 posts
and the first initial payment to put a WSO is $57
after that I will only have to pay $20 for each and every WSO I do

So this has actually made my day and thank you again for making the warrior forum a forum of value!

Thank You .... As you can tell by my post count I'm not big on writing.

But, I am/was big on reading.

I have not been spending as much time here as I had in the past mainly because of the mass posts along the lines of "that was cool" and other posts that were obviously just added to increase the persons post count.

I joined the war room months ago due to this fact also.

Now maybe I'll spend more time here once again.

Thanks again,
Anthony

"The WSO fee still applies. This is just to help cut down on the number of them and the useless posts that resulted from the 30 posts rule.

Thanks!"

Being a new but serious member, I am curious if the sole purpose of your decision is to getting rid of spammers, should I expect that if a new member like me reaches a good post count of 30 or 50 then we will automatically upgrade like paid members. I only hope this new payment rule is only applied on the members with less posts like some other large forums. I really like your forum and would love to see it growing even more.

In our entitlement mentality being taught in N.A. by the media ,government and school systems making folks pay for value is a smart way to keep out the lazy spammers.
They don't make money anyway since they refuse to learn and apply that proper knowledge.
That's fine with me though since I work hard at being professional and it seems the majority here do also.

I'm in the niche market of people who are looking for a simple way to MAKE$ from Home and learn Marketing.

Excellent choice! Great to have a place to go that's not overrun with idiots abusing the system with spam like so in the free forums.

I think this is a wise move. As soon as i come up a little bit, I plan on joining and that is based solely on seeing how many people that are upgraded and telling the benefits.

I have to agree. I have been a memebr for a few months, and just decided to become part of the War Room. That was the best money I have ever spent. There are a lot of tips, tricks, and great info for the newbie I still think I am. Thanks again,
Steve
