Alcoholism Niche

I have started a NEW website (MY NICHE) called the Sober 4 Life Club where I have my story, Articles about the effects of Alcohol and drugs, I use one of the programs in conjuction with my AA program and just thought this world help thousands of folk like me to stay sober and live a healthier life, am I wrong for trying to share? or am I just kinding myself?

Does anyone believe this is a OK niche? I kinda think it part of the Health niche! helping others get sober and regain there lives is a good thing as I see it.

      I don't think this a *hot* niche, but certainly has some potential. Especially if you have material about how to help an alcoholic (without enabling, etc)

      Whenever choosing a niche, or whether a niche is valid just think of the person who gets on the net about the subject. Certainly this wouldn't be a person who may or may not be an alcoholic, just curious if they have crossed the line. This is for someone who maybe has gone through AA or has a couple DUIs and is relunctantly sitting at his/her computer bored or restless about their situation. Or, it's a loved one desparate to help...

      Those thought streams also help you decide how to angle your pieces.

      Feel free to e-mail me specifics about your future progress. I would be glad to help where I can....which isn't much.... but you never know

        QUITE right also, i have a website on addictions and to be all honest it does attract a lot of traffic from you tube, so its not really the question of a hot niche it is more on what people are actully looking for online,

        i mean for example 45,000 people or more world wide on new years ever to get help on give smoking,

        (by the thats a rough estimate you will have to see from google for the real hits)

        if i was yourself i would look examine the top websites on google and see who there linking too or check at backlinkwatcher.com and rss your site to directorys

        p.s good job on stopping drinking i had a cousin who find it hard to give up recrecational drugs but has turned his life is around,

    This is exactly why I come to this forum, there are so many people willing to put help and give great advice good or bad, I know this maybe a niche that is gonig to take me a lots of work but that all good, I'm in it for the long hall, I'm one of those alcoholic that sits in front of the computer doing the research for anyone that is to lazy or just think it's a lost cause, a little work on my parts may (and does) save lives my giving someone the tools or if you want help someone else the tools are here for anyone, my main goal is to just as my site, blog say and that is ony to help sick people.

    If any of you would be so kind to link your site back to my site or blog that would be awsome. (see sign)

    Im an Alcoholic that is recovering from alcoholism with 170 days sober today and the site is to give others the tools and education to do the same, you all may not understand how tough this really is, but that OK and thank you for helping.

    The reason for the site is to help others and maybe make a little money, guess you can say it's my new hobby, put a link to your site and spread the word.
