Build Aweber List Quickly

Warriors,

This sounds pretty interesting, so I decided to try it out.

This website is a pyramid system that lets you build your email list quickly.

You sign up for 5 other people's emails and add your aweber list at the end. They cycle through the lists and when it's your turn, people subscribe to your list.

I found that the only catch is there's somebody promoting stuff, but just say no to everything and it will take you to the aweber sign up site.

Will this work? I'd love to hear your opinions. I usually don't sign up for this kind of crap, but it sounded like it might bring in some people, plus the people you sign up for their list had a couple big hitters in the IM circle. Instead of posting the link here (it might violate WF rules) go ahead and PM me and I'll email you the sign up link.

I don't think you should be building your list like that. These kind of systems sound good but they really suck.

It's all about trying to build a relationship with your subscriber. You want them to sign up to your list because they're interested in what you have to offer. Building a relationship is key. It will keep them interested in your follow-ups.

Subscribers you get through such a system are not interested in your follow-ups. They're only on your list because they're trying to build one as well.

You'll probably end up with a lot of (fake) hotmail addresses that will never be read. Your open rate will suck.
Would you rather have a super responsive list of a 1000 subscribers than a list of 10.000 subscribers that couldn't care less bout your emails?

If you're looking to build your list, I suggest you look around here. You'll find a lot of good ebooks and posts on this subject...

I received one like that a couple of weeks ago and it was the same group of marketers that are all selling the same stuff. All 5 of them market together and they just happened to be the top 5 guys on the list.

Didn't sit well with me and I couldn't see building my list that way with any kind of quality subscribers.
