Looking for a Business Partner

Hi Fellow Warriors,

I have a business proposal I would like to put out there to see if there might be any interest in a partnership.

I have worked for many, many years in the aquaculture and fisheries industry. I am extremely knowledgeable in the area of fish biology, disease management, water quality management, intensive recirculation system design, etc.

I have been poking around IM for the past year or so and see a great opportunity to integrate my knowledge of aquaculture with IM to generate a cash cow business model.

However, my IM background is weak and as such, it would make good sense for me to find a partner to fill this void. I wouldn't be looking for a grunt but rather someone who could bring genuine value to the business. Someone who has excellent background in the internet marketing aspects so we can quickly get the web site high in the search engines, getting lots of traffic and generating lots of revenue quickly.

Some monetizing options could be:

- Offer advertising space to relevant companies such as aquaculture consultants, aquaculture equipment and systems manufacturers, feed companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc. Take a look at thefishsite.com for instance. This company would be our largest competitor. This site gets ~ 100k visitors per month.
- Offer ad design services. If you see the ads on thefishsite.com they suck. They are poorly design to drive the viewer to action. We could offer design services that would produce ads that scream click me.
- Offer great educational content. This site would not offer news like thefishsite but rather solid, educational / technical information that would be useful to aquaculture staff and managers. There would be lots of free information but to get real value, we would offer paid membership.

These are just some of my ideas - no doubt a seasoned IMer worth his / her salt could think of a dozen more monetizing ideas.

If you are interested in a partnership, please send me a pm.

Some Aquaculture Facts:

- The US is the third largest consumer in the world.
- Aquaculture has grown at a far greater pace over the past decade as compared to ANY other food producing sector. Growth rate is almost 10% per year which is insane.
- Aquaculture is now a 70 bl dollar market, not too shabby.
- Aquaculture is considered to be the only food source that will be able to keep pace with our growing global population.

- I have oodles of personal contacts in Chile, Norway, Canada and the US. These markets account for ~ 10% of total global production.
