$1,000+ Per Sale, 50% Conversion, Limited to 3 or 4 Partners

I'm offering 50% commissions on referrals for my direct response copywriting services.

I typically convert around half of new referrals into clients. If you can send me a hot lead, I know how to close them. I've been doing this for 10 years and have a very effective system (and impressive track record).

I charge $2,000 for a typical long copy sales letter. The same fee for power point style video sales letters.

I also specialize in autoresponder and other email copy, and charge $100 per email.

These are my actual fees, and not inflated to cover your commission. So on a sales letter and 10 part autoresponder series ($2,000 + $1,000) your commission would be $1,500.

I do all the work, you keep half the money.

The lifetime value of a client makes this deal worth it for me, and you have the potential to make a large amount of money each month just by telling a few people about me.

I'm only taking on a small number of partners to do this with me. I don't want to be inundated with leads because I write all the copy myself (no copy cubs or outsourcers). So let's discuss whether or not your network and/or list is the right fit for my services. I'm not looking to attract people that I have to haggle with over price or who don't appreciate the value of a great copywriter.

Pardon me for asking, but why do you have an affiliate program, especially if you've been doing this successfully for 10 years?

No, this is the first time I've ever offered a joint venture for my copywriting services "publicly"... I've always just gotten referrals from clients and colleagues.

When I mentioned I had a successful system, I was referring to my process for closing leads.

I don't think this is something that warrants setting up an affiliate system. I wouldn't even encourage sending out a blast to your list about this unless it was a very small list, or unless you only sent out to a small segment. This is more of an opportunity for people who communicate directly with a lot of internet marketers on a regular basis... whether you're a consultant, web/graphic designer, or just have a big network of IM friends.

In terms of tracking, there's always something we can do. Whether it's setting up a unique domain or offering some kind of incentive for them to mention your name when they contact me. The dollar amount of the packages I provide are going to fluctuate a lot from client to client, so it would be difficult to use a shopping cart with a standard affiliate tracking software.

I'm open to any suggestions anyone has in terms of tracking so we both feel comfortable.

As far as marketing materials go, I'll help you with whatever you need. But again, this is an opportunity for people with a strong network they can tap into and refer people from. I'm not really looking for leads right now from the typical mass marketing sources like PPC, SEO, etc. Leads from those sources are a lot harder to convert and aren't worth as much long term.

I just asked because if I knew of a great copywriter, I would recommend him or her without expecting anything in return. The money would have no influence over whether I recommended you or not.

My bad. My brain skipped over the "why" and thought you asked if I had an affiliate program.

I typically stay busy from referrals. But I've found only relying on referrals has consistently lead to dry periods so I'm trying some new things marketing wise. It's pretty silly to only rely on one new source of business. Which I've been guilty of often due to the fact that I get sidetracked into other businesses opportunities easily.

I'd much rather be in a position where I have several sources of new leads. It lets you be choosier about who you work with and charge higher fees, not to mention creating a consistent flow of work.

If you look at many, if not most, of the highest paid copywriters... they all market themselves in a lot of different ways beyond just waiting for existing clients to refer people to them.
