Seeking True JV Partner for Growing Site

I own a social website that is based on the Hotaru CMS. My 500 members can use the site for social bookmarking, writing articles, 65% AdSense revenue share, microblogging and more. It's a great site, and I just transferred it over from the Pligg CMS to this new, better platform. There were a few bugs, but I have them fixed (as far as I know).

I'm looking for someone who is interested in helping me grow this site substantially. I want to push the membership numbers up to at least 1000 active contributing (non-spam) members by the end of this year.

Some Stats:

Site Age: 4 months old

Traffic: around 1,000 pageviews a day, and around 350 unique visitors per day (has been as high as 700 uniques a day).

Traffic Sources: 85%+ from the search engines.

Active community with sharing features, facebook comment API features, and more.

This joint venture would basically interest anyone who always wanted to try and make money with a social site, but didn't want to have to spend the grueling hours setting one up and getting it off the ground.

Essentially, I'm willing to hand over my 35% AdSense pageviews in exchange for growing the site. This will NOT be an instant money maker, and you will have to work for it, but the right candidate could start to make good cash with my site pretty quick. I simply don't have the time or money to invest in growing. Whether you want to grow it by writing articles on the site for direct search engine traffic (in which case, you'd receive 100% AdSense), article marketing, video marketing, backlink building to site pages, etc., is up to you. Just as long as the traffic is legit, adsense safe, etc.

I have already ran YieldBuild through its process to optimize the ads (can't use it now, though, since the code doesn't work with revenue sharing). There are over 3,500 submissions and pages on my site.

We could further discuss the details through PM if you're interested.

    Hello there,

A friend of mine pointed me out to your post and after reading it, I automatically became very interested in this opportunity. He most likely referred me to your post because he's heard of my desires and thoughts on having a few social sites running in the near future.

Part of my plans in making my wishes come true is to get educated on how certain social sites run. Part of that is to figure out what elements of a site (whether it's features, website design, content, type of marketing, niche(s), user experience, relationship with users, etc.) attracts people to use it. I want to gain a perspective on all this to get an idea on where I want my future sites to be.

I just recently familiarized myself with what pligg sites are all about and so far I think what you created and design is appealing because it looks a lot less cluttered than other similar sites. Also, the benefits that you offer users, such as %50 of adsense profit, is really unique.

I'll be honest with you, I don't have great knowledge with the technical aspects of creating and designing websites or even social sites. However, I'm familiar with strategies and effective systems that can draw the traffic to a site. My experience and knowledge comes from working with an internet marketing company, which consists of a team that have an expertise in web design and other content creation, not just online marketing.

The resources from that marketing company, I can easily access and use as a JV partner to your site. One of the key resources we have is video production and is definitely something very valuable to have when drawing in traffic for a site. Of course, you probably already know, there's many other ways to attract a crowd online. All of which, the company I work with is very capable of doing.

Currently, I'm involved with working on a client, however this opportunity to JV a social site is something hard to ignore especially if I'm interested in creating a few myself. So I'm willing to set aside my own time or make time to help seekyt draw in a crowd.

I gotta say, I really respect the optimism in achieving the goals you have for the site within the next couple of years. It really fits the whole startup characteristic, which the company I work with can really relate to. I always think that growing companies that work together compliment each other because it's a win-win situation for both and also a good learning experience. So, it would be awesome if we can JV for you.

The biggest experience I want to get from this is to see a social site from the start, grow into something big and successful. I believe your site has the potential to do so.

I'm very interested in hearing more from you and what else you got planned. You can contact me with this email: kingjd1st at yahoo.com (replace "at" with @... i dont have enough posts to even put my email)

From there I can give you other contact info because right now I cant PM either

I look forward to hearing from you!

        Some Changes To The Site:

First of all, the automatic backlinks are no longer offered - this was not a good incentive for users afterall, since most people using my site are not ONLY using it for backlinks, but also for friends and such.

Secondly, everything goes straight to the homepage - there is no popularity contest on Seekyt.com. This is enough to make Seekyt.com drastically different.

Third, users can now write articles in addition to the bookmarking function. This is great for search engine traffic.

Fourth, there is a referral program coming up soon, once I can afford to have it built.

So, with all of this in mind... I predict the site is going to meet my expectations quicker than I thought, since my referral program is going to be of high value - 10-20% ad split for referrals, so the new revenue sharing program will be as such: 50% ads for submitter of content, 10-20% ads for the person who referred the submitter, and 30-40% for myself, depending on what I finally determine the referral percentage to be. Of course, if a user has no referrer, I will receive 50% of all ad impressions - and if they don't use the adsense function, I will receive 80-100%, depending if they were referred or not.

I know that if I could have got on board with Xomba when it first started, I would have jumped at the opportunity. They invested tens of thousands dollars into their site, and were profitable by the end of the first year because of their referral model. Not to mention, I believe the returns all came from advertising revenue.

Is anyone interested in getting on board? Do you have ideas for traffic, or you are experienced in growing communities on a large scale? Maybe you have a lot of unique content you want to add to the site for search engine growth and advertising revenue. I'm interested in hearing any and all concepts that everyone can bring to the table.

Also, what kind of compensation would make this venture worth it for you? Profit sharing? Investment with later return? Let me know - PM me or post here.
