Has Anybody Got a Clue???

... why there are so many posts here and so few replies?

... why tons of people have read your threads but almost no one has replied?

Does anyone using this forum here understand why this obvious but painful trend is so prevalent here on this one particular forum? The other Warrior forums display these types of stats...

Any ideas?

  • Chipt,

I think the answer is two fold.

    1. If people see an offer or opportunity they are interested in, they will possibly contact the OP directly via PM. Most JV's are a private affair when it comes to details and one 2 one deals.

    2. The offers could be perceived as poor or are just cookie cutter "promote my affiliate program" posts, which is cool, but not going to inspire alot of people.

Sidenote: JV's (and I mean TRUE JV's) are all about exclusivity. Offering 75% affiliate commission on a new eBook is just not gravy to alot of serious JV seekers.

Affiliates and JV partners are two different beasts, and I think the whole issue and approach to JV partners should be treated differently.

A JV partner is the one who will always bring in the heavy sales volume, affiliates are fickle and often less focused (and/or have their fingers in lots of pies). Furthermore, even successful affiliates are very much of the "set and forget" and "dip my toes in and see what money I can make" mentality, and that's why people blindly offer 75% to lure them in...

...for affiliates, money is a primary motivation.

Anyway, I digress. I suppose my point is, JVs happen behind closed doors, via PMs and relationship building. And those do use this forum to look for possible partners, are often doing so to look for a more exclusive deal that just a commission.

But I suppose on the other hand, there are a lot of offers and deals on the table, but I guess that ultimately people are looking for something specific to their business, and often wont pursue an offer unless it really hits the sweet spot and fits perfectly with their business plans.

    • Excellent points, Nick.

Anyone else got any ideas to share concerning the points in the original thread above?

One caveat though... I am not totally convinced that all this alleged 'JV action' is going on via PMs based on the offers I've seen here so far...

... or if this 'PM action' is happening, I'd like to know specific details, deals, and results -- if this is going to be a real learning experience for the less experienced marketers who truly want to learn about doing real JVs with real marketers who can really produce real results that will astound people... and really attract the the people they really want to work with...

PS - I'm not being ugly here. I just want to separate the wheat from the chaff and see who can be trusted in here... and once that is known it will benefit everyone who is really serious in here...

    • Very well stated. I'm new to the forum and have just posted for the first time today. I'm hooked.
  • FYI - It's also at the bottom of the forum list. Look at the main discussion or the WSO forum and there are 300+ viewing at any time. Look at this forum and you only get 10 or 20 viewing. Nobody makes it down this far. I didn't even realize it was here until being on the forum for like six months.

    • Hey -

      1. I really have no idea what your first sentence means...

      2. Yes - this forum gets fewer viewers because [I think] few people look far enough down the forum list... and because a lot of people don't have a clue that JVs are the single best marketing program any marketer can have...

      3. So - this either gives you less competition here for the deals you want to do, or it gives you less people to do deals with, depending on your perception... so ...

Is your glass half full or half empty?
