Crazy Man Bane's Crazy Life
So hi there, my name is Bane, and I like to do Internet Marketing a little differently to everyone else... in fact, in general, I like to do LIFE a little differently to everyone else. Don't worry, there are plenty of people like me out there, I mean just check out this guy in Minecraft.
Now while I'm not that guy, considering the average 'smart' person in Minecraft builds wooden cabins or castles, it goes to show the sort of path I take through life. I'm 26, I live in Australia, I have BiPolar disorder. I am a videogame journalist by day, though it's really just a hobby (Though I get paid .20c a word). My real passion is videogames, and has been for a very long time.
I was the creator of the very first videogame tester guide, as well as the first Microsoft points referral site. Almost every major innovation in Videogame niche monetization comes from me, even if it is not inherently obvious (in my younger days I sold a lot of my ideas for peanuts, I've since learnt quite a lot). Now I am not saying these to gloat, merely to show you that if it's got to do with Videogames, I'm your man.
This has to do with videogames, and yes, I am your man.
I came up with the basic idea about 4 months ago, and initially struck it off as too hard... you see, I like to work alone - and my technical skills are simply not high enough to implement something like this. During this time I felt that surely someone else would come up with and implement it, but as with 99% of the ideas I draft up, nothing happened. To me, it seemed logical, basic, a step in the right direction...
Since joining Warrior I have felt more at home here than I have anywhere else... even when disagreeing with people warriors tend to see benefit in each others points of view, and generally speaking, they know their stuff. It still amazes me that many of the forums I was earlier apart of, spoke so negatively about here (to the point I never bothered to join).
So this is what I offer to you.

Bane's Joint Venture Proposition
In the few joint ventures I have done, I have always sought a partner... someone willing to put the hours in, someone willing to put his back into the boring hard work that is generally required when building something from scratch. Occassionally this has happened, and lasting friendships have been formed. So I want to offer it here, to hopefully get the exact same thing.
Now, my method, for all I stated was out of my technical knowledge, is really quite easy (so I've been told) for someone with the right skillset. I basically need a web devigner (That's Developer + Designer) who is willing to take the time out to make this work. As this is a partnership, all my JV businesses work as follows
25% goes to you
25% goes to me
50% goes to the company (to improve, build, innovate, advertise)
Nothing can be spent from company money without both sides say so
$0 base company funds
The $0 is the important figure. Neither you nor I will be investing anything other than time and energy into the buildup of the specific product/service/thing. I do all my projects this way, because by building from the ground up, you gain a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the project at hand.
So, for a description of what I need. The core idea behind the site is a simple membership based site where users can purchase points. These points can be spent in a variety of ways on the site, and can be cashed out at any time. The way we make money is on the difference between cash in price and cash out price, advertising, and special offers that cost points.
There are ways on the site that allow users to trade points with each other in return for services, and these points need to be dynamic across both the website, and it's forums. Payment processing is done in a variety of ways, and users can also gain points for 'free' by doing incentivized CPA.
Now obviously I am not explaining the details involved, but you can as a potential partner, see if you have the skillset required to pull something like this off. You have to remember, while I understand what goes on behind the scenes, I actually have precisely zero skill with databases, coding, etc. I have tried, on several occassions, but simply my mind isn't cut out for that sort of discipline.
Who you need to be: Firstly, you need to live in - The US, Canada, Australia, UK, or European places like Switzerland, the netherlands, finland, etc. This is for legal reasons, as many legal documents will have to be created and signed, to cover things like non-disclosure and ownership rights. This is serious business people, and I have learnt (the hard way) that my million dollar ideas need protecting.
