Cold Callers: I built it, now YOU sell it - Let's make some $$$

On almost a daily basis, I see someone asking about the effectiveness of Emailing vs. Cold Calling.

Now, personally, I hate cold calling. But, I see many Warriors singing the praises of cold calling. So, I'm curious if any of you guys/girls that just love to talk about how wonderful cold calling is want to make some extra $$$ ? I won't mention any names (because you know who you are ) - but I will offer you this:

I have 3 leadgen sites (along with videos) in the dental niche that are continuing to generate calls on a daily basis. The problem: I can't seem to get them rented out (the site) or even to sell the leads.

If you can rent out the site or sell the leads, I'll give 80% of the monthly rental price or 80% of the Pay-Per-Call (lead) price for as long as the prospective client wants to go.

I'm willing to offer a month-to-month rental (with no long term commitment) OR a pay per call lead price (which you and I can discuss offline).

So which of you "cold-calling is more effective" kings wants to step up and show us how it's done?

    If I read your offer correctly, I then become an 80% affiliate, yes? 80% of what number and why would I want to do it given you admit you can't? It would seem to me you know your sites better than any cold calling king or queen. If you can't sell your own sites, why would anyone take their time trying to do it for you?

    Not being an a-hole, just asking given you've laid down the gauntlet to a supposed group of people.

      So you're saying you've never met anyone who was good at
      the technical side of things but couldn't sell free hookers in a
      lumber camp?

        You hit the General Hooker camp followers on the head my friend. I even found one restaurant owner in my home town who told me she didn't want any more customers because she already had too many.

        Go figure...

        I hope IAmNameless takes shockwave up on his offer cuz Nathan is a selling machine and if anybody can do it, he can. Something about the offer just didn't strike me as being on center. Hating cold calling is no reason to have zero success to date. Hell, write them a letter and tell them what you have and invite them to call you. Bingo! just eliminated the cold calling.

        But what do I know?

        Oh yeah, FYI, here in Northern Nevada availability to your mentioned vocation is off Exit 28 on I-80 .

          Hi Tom,

          To answer your first question up at the top - I am indeed not capable of selling hookers to the lumberjacks. I did find a way to get them to the party though!

      80% of whatever we sell it for I guess. The added bonus is bragging rights, selling something someone else can't and rubbing it in their face while making money is an amazing thing. LOL

        My friend and I call you my friend because you are my friend you are indeed snakish. I wish you well should you choose to accept the mission. I guess 80% of nothing with bragging rights is better than 80% of nothing w/o bragging rights . BTW, I say nothing only because the OP said that's what he's made so far.

        I would think making this a contest w/80% as the base payment plus 25% as an incentivized bonus would have this offer off the table in less than 24 hours. Don't know that for sure but it sounds plausible. Incentives are a wonderful thing in sales.

          Oh, this fun mission is quite fair in regards to compensation:
          • I've done all the work already.
          • I don't expect anyone to sell this for at "market rates" or "above". In fact, this will be well below market rates.
          I've seen MANY people talking about outsourcing sales of their offline service, but in the same breath, they still want to retain 50%+ of the profits - (what a joke!). I understand the value of a sales person (as that is my role in my regular 9-5 gig)....so in this case - most of the profits go to the sales person.

          Damn.....I would make a great boss!

        There he is! One of the top 3 guys I was hoping would pop-up and take on this maddness Hell, I'll be the first in line to brag to everyone how awesome you are.....if you can close the sale.

        We can discuss rental rates or the per-call lead rate in PM, but don't worry, I'll make it a price point that I'm pretty sure is WELL below market value.

    I'd highly recommend you stop saying you want it sold below market rate.

    If I'm getting paid on performance only you can be damn sure I want to sell it at market rate or above.

    If you're happy to settle for well below market rate then you really don't need someone to do it for you.

    Go through the yellow pages and find anyone there that would be interested in your leads (you know they spend on advertising if they're in YP).

    Call them up and offer than a 4 week trial, no charge.

    Then charge them 25% below market rate after that and you'll have customers for life.

    Job done.
