Looking For a Silent Partner--Nice Compensation Package
I am in need of a silent partner to help me on a new business venture. It is within a subniche of the "make money online", "make money from home" field. Basically, I have been forming relationships with some of the members and finding out what is needed. So I decided that I will create an affiliate product and teach them more in depth affiliate marketing, specifically how to leverage free/cheap resources to get the word out. In the meantime, they are promoting the affiliate product and new members are coming into the CPA forums and also learning affiliate marketing. The members of the original forum I am promoting in will be the investors/founding members.
Very different type of program in compensation as well. 3 different types of investors: affiliates, associates, officers, 1 Site Manager, and 1 Owner (Me). Several types of bonuses provided on all levels: Affiliate of the Month (based on quantity), mentor of the month (quality), performance bonuses, etc.
I like to think of it as Morton's is moving in and teaching the cooks at Golden Corral, or something of that nature (that was a stupid analogy....LOL). Investors will be required to complete a Personal Development Plan month to month and for a year. The officers will oversee various areas of the site and specialize within different areas (rotating every 4 months). The don't have to be specialists but have a willingness to learn the new roles.
The Site Manager is responsible for overall operations of site and I will focus on Accounting/Marketing Methods. There will be a system of checks and balances in place to where myself of anyone could run off with money, and or excessive spending.
All initial Investors will become affiliates automatically, percentages based on initial investments. There will occasional affiliate product promotion of products by me. 50% of these profits go toward net income of the site each month. I will be the only one that will have affiliate links in place. Affiliate referrals will have the opportunity to become affiliates of the program after 30 days of being active.
Why? 1. Because it's my site...LOL. 2. Because everyone is getting 50% of that back in form of bonuses. (They will not know that, and will not be required to purchase anything) 3. I don't want to turn member profiles or the classifieds area (which are both managed directly) into train wrecks.
The site is based on the "we" and "our" concepts. Each person is challenged to think about what they can bring to the table and what kind of value each can offer, and what kind of value our site is going to offer, including myself.
In my introduction letter, I give them background on myself, like how I used to think everything online was a scam. How I've made money, but never made a living with it, and now is the time. Why?
Because this campaign bore out of a simple idea I had last week for some quick money. As I set and typed, a simple free blog rolled out without even thinking about it. Then I started thinking about an email series to go with it, ad copies, etc. I realized that I could compile it all into this type of course. I know all about article marketing, blogging, SEO, keywords, etc. etc. The reason I've never been successful is that I haven't leveraged the power of the people.
So basically I am creating a product based on the current subniche they are in for them to promote while they learn affiliate marketing.
This partner would be silent because the program is designed to be created and ran by members of this one forum (almost 100,000) members. All officers are personally interviewed by myself and the site manager (hired first).
My goal is to provide enough value for each member to double the initial investment. At the end of one year, it is my goal to have built my own company, to the point where I can retire this site and turn ownership over to the original investor (regardless of investment size) that has brought the most value to the table. Value is much more than money is an important concept. What provides value? Something that provides a solution.
In the end, new members will have passed through the site into the forums of this subniche, while all that come in contact with the site will hopefully gain something valuable.
The preliminary budget does allow for silent/inactive partners. I have 3 partners random acts of kindness that total 10% for the value that provided me and didn't even know it. 10% of the net income each month will go to charities of investors choice.
In picking the person to whom the site should go in 1 year, I think you would be kind of like "big brother". However, this would also be up the the Site Manager as well, once he/she comes on board, since she will not be eligible for owner.
Prelim Schedule
1. The introduction letter will go up by Monday the 23rd, coming down no later than 29th.
2. Phone interviews will be done the 30th for Site Manager. There will be the potential for face to face interviews with 2 or 3 best candidates by the 1st or 2nd, with candidate selected by the 3rd.
3. All other officers within the organization would be (there are 7 or 8 more), would be in place week ending 10, with all introduction letters from them to their investor committees would be mailed by the 13th. During this whole time period, an email sequence will have been in place to all investors preparing them for pre-launch, which we be the 15th-28th.
4. The site would launch on the 29th.
5. After 1 year, the site would change hands at an awards banquet. This person would be an original investor who has brought value and has earned the right to uphold my name. From the beginning, these investors know that my name is on the line, and we all need each other to succeed. I also hope to be able to present each original monetary investor a check for 200% of original investment (max for them is $200 each)
For your partnership, you would receive 5% on net income from the site each month for your life or the life of the site. Opportunities for selling of your percentage will be enclosed in final contract.. You would also be provided an exclusive affiliate % and package. If you were to invest, which would be a direct factor on total compensation, an examples of preferred investment would be $2000 immediately, and $2000 in 2 weeks, with maturation of this fund being in 1 year from date of site launch. These funds would be used to cover any current payroll and home office expenses, and legal fees. There would also be potential for doing videos, etc.
From you, I would need your faith that this project is going to work. I know that it will, and the forum I present it in will. For compensation, the only guarantees would be the 5% of net income for life, and guaranteed return of 200% on any investment (up to 4,000 for a maturation total off $8000). Everything else would be finalized in your final contract, which would be delivered at the same time all other investors would be ready, no later than August 15th.
This post will be filled immediately. You don't have to be a marketing guru, but I do ask that you have a minimum of 50 posts in this forum. I will look at them and determine what type of value you brought to this forum, and what type of value you can bring to our site. In addition to what I think please be prepared to provide me with a paragraph or 2 on what you can bring to the table, and what you would like to learn/improve in this next year.\
As stated, this position needs to fill quickly for various reasons. For the protection of all parties involved, this forum would be posted as closed, and the candidate selected would be publicly named. A preliminary offer of partnership would be emailed with and agreed upon terms. This would need to be returned along with cash investment option via paypal to my verified merchant account or immediate wire transfer to my bank account. You would also be required to print, sign, and scan the preliminary offer and email back as well. In addition, a copy would need to be sent certified mail no later than the 23rd. In this way, a copy of that letter, receipt of certified mail purchase, as well as this email would stand in a court of law. The full legalese version would be ready by August 15th, as stated.
