Accomplish 1k$/month until 2019

I start from zero with no marketable skills or budget or any help at all other than the one I get from forums. My initial goal is to make a good monthly wage until 2019. I know that's not a lot of money on countries like the US or UK but in my country that's a great income, despite that it's only my starter goal, I still don't think is a very realistic one considering how many things I lack in the world of business.

This is the first time I try to start a sustainable business that will make me a living, I sold things online before but my goal was to make a fast cash and nothing more. I researched a ton and tried a lot of things before I decide my plan, I had very few options available since I lack budget and skills, also I have many limitations on the country I live.

Here is the plan:

I will run one main business where I put all my focus on and two side businesses.
My main business is to act as an agent of bloggers and find them work.
My side businesses are selling gaming accounts as a middleman and make few posts on forums with an affiliate signature. These are easy businesses that don't require much effort.

I plan to transition into a paid ad / affiliate marketing model once I have enough budget (2k$+) to pay for all the neccesary stuff.
Of course, I won't wait until 2019 to conclude that I failed, I expect to see some $ within 2 months since none of these plans is meant to work in the long term only.

Will I make it or crash and burn?

An agent for bloggers? I have to say this one is intriguing... Do you have access to many bloggers?

and then will you crash or burn.... only you can answer that.. but please dont. just remember actions speak louder than words.. dont tell me you are going to make.. make it and then tell me about it!

I have a small list yet, but it looks kinda easy to expand it since there is a lot of interest. The hard part is to find them work, If I manage to pull through in the beginning and I'm a bit lucky then I will expand my list and I will invest in a good email software that will allow me to make a lot of cold emails daily. It will become more "real" then. Right now, I can't call it real, I lack experience, resume and the software, It's more of an experiment. It looks more like a job for aleady established writers, who have a lot of clients and can't handle everything alone.

You should start networking with a bunch of major blogs so you can get bloggers deals with them. Take a 10% fee and you only need so many bloggers to start seeing good profits.

What sort of agent? What do you have to offer 'bloggers' and why would they work with you? What sort of 'work' will you offer bloggers - what will they pay YOU for?

My side businesses are selling gaming accounts as a middleman and make few posts on forums with an affiliate signature.

Posting affiliate links on forums will often get you banned from the forum. Have you done this successfully before - what do you mean by 'middleman' - and what sort of 'game accounts are you selling?

These are easy businesses that don't require much effort
    .
Why do you believe these are 'easy'? In my experience work that doesn't 'require much effort' is work that doe not pay well....

I see people above offering you suggestions - but I want YOU to clarify your goals and outline exactly what you plan to do this week, this month, next month, etc.....to reach your goal.

It's funny that's exactly the fee I asked for and I wasn't sure how much I should ask in the beginning, I still plan to extract more if I find them much better gigs than the ones they asked for.

There are many out there who can't bother chasing jobs since it's a tedious process, they have nothing to lose by using someone else to do this for them. You are like a *free* VA for them.

My plan in this month will be to sent tons of emails to companies and promote my customers, I already improved my emails a lot and I fixed a bit the resumes. I also plan to take a look at job listings and see if I can find anything there but I will focus on emails. I mean there is nothing better I can do at this point except email optimization. I won't bother with expanding yet, I already have a really good customer, I want to learn the business first and have a reference before I proceed with expanding. In the distant future I plan to invest in some sort of email marketing software that will increase the amount of emails I send daily and also a copywriter to improve the emails and the resumes. I will also expand to some freelance platforms in order to find more writers and clients.

As for my side gaming plan, I cooperate with some vendors on a specific game who sell accounts on that game. I plan to list some of these accounts on specific platforms, again the challenging part here are the lists themselves, I'm not an experienced copywriter/designer but I will find a way to make them really good and persuative. I plan to improve feedback and authority on these platforms slowly.

The good thing about the gaming business is that I'm already experienced with it, I have sold accounts before succesfully and I have also sold coaching, boosting, gold and gear etc but I didn't have the intention to make a living from it, I did it mostly for some quick cash. So I kinda know where to look for customers and how people talk and behave on that niche. Back then I didn't know you can resell things of others just by asking them, also I didn't know how much advantage you can gain through listing optimization, marketing taught me these things. It also taught me, not to talk as a gamer when doing non-gaming business, I got bashed for it when I started the agent business. You really need to behave as a top notch professional. Gamers don't really care about this stuff because it's a business that involves a lot of illegal stuff so it doesn't attract people who care about your image.
All they care is what they ask for.

All in all, gaming accounts is a side business but I have high expectations for it. I included it into my plan because it doesn't require much effort, all you have to do is to list and then wait for something to show up. I don't have my own platform neither I can use Paid ad or any other form of advanced marketing successfully, so I don't have to pay too much attention to it yet. I just hope that classified marketing will get the job done for now.

My forum plan is just a filler, I shouldn't call it business, it just happens that I participate on one forum where I'm allowed to add a cloaked affiliate link on my sig, I have no expectations from it but again, it's free because I participate on that forum anyway.

My very long term plan is to gather enough budget close to 3k and then launch a paid ad
business as an affiliate or with one of my current businesses, if they show promise by then. I want to master paid advertising because I like that it can work on the short term and it's the only reliable form of marketing who can do that, classified marketing, emails and influencing can work on the short term too but they are either weaker or not always reliable. I also want to master other marketing skills like SEO and social media but paid advertising is my priority. I know that it requires some very advanced copywriting/design/marketing plan in order to show a positive roi, therefore I need a lot of money to launch it succesfully since I lack all of these skills.

Generally, you need a lot of money to do something well, there are so many things to invest like bots, apps, joints ventures, Vas, Copywriters, Designers, Developers, Coachings, influencers, Seo, paid ads, Social Media... There is a lot of stuff that needs to be done.

I will change the way I work on the gaming plan, I didn't realize this at first but it's pointless to make deals with vendors before listing and in fact, it can be worse because they don't want you to attack on the platforms they are doing business, which are the most popular platforms.

Gaming account business is not just like any other ecommerce business, you don't have to make a discount deal before you start to sell since you can always do this after because you never buy a gaming account without chatting with the seller first, he has to give you the gaming account info and prove that he's trustworthy. When that chat takes place, you can negotiate and get your discount and it's easier to get it as a buyer rather than middleman. So, listing directly without contacting vendors first doesn't change anything and is actually faster and flexible since you can attack anything. All in all, the business is just a listing race.

As for my main plan, I will invest in email software right away, I have found some very cheap or even free solutions. Sending emails one by one is a big waste of time.

Today, I worked a lot of hours close to 8-10, but I procrastinated because a lot of thinking was required and also I got distracted by the mundial matches. Despite that, I managed to organize all the portals where I will attack, I improved my listings and emails, I refined the plans and also I sent a bunch of emails and created a lot of listings too. So I created both my base and also made some attacks. It will be easier from now on since no more thinking is required, just spamming emails & listings and then pray.

The biggest challenge is still copywriting and design, I need to create more advanced listings and resume.

Successful is the person who waits out the competition - Annonymous

To be successful in any business you need a few components to start a business.

You already mentioned two ideas you have in mind.

The best you can do is find out if there are people who will pay you for your idea before writing a single article or blog or whatever else that takes time.

My main business is to act as an agent of bloggers and find them work.
You can do research and find out if bloggers are comfortable with you becoming their agent. You can try and find three bloggers and ask them what percentage they are ready to share with you when you find them work. Please see in this idea your direct competition is websites like 99Designs, Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer. You will need a very good reason for these bloggers to come to you instead of going to these websites for finding work.

My side businesses are selling gaming accounts as a middleman and make few posts on forums with an affiliate signature.
This business is a pure mathematical problem. How many people will see your post? How many of them will click on your signature? How many will buy anything from the links in your signature?

Out of 10000 who visit forums about less than 100 will ever see your post. Out of that 100 about 1 or 2 will click on your affiliate links. Out of every 100 who click on your affiliate links 0.5 will buy.

Now here again it depends on the quality of information you are giving to these people that will make or break your business.

Quality will improve people clicking on your signature. More people click on your signature. More people are likely to buy.

I plan to transition into a paid ad / affiliate marketing model once I have enough budget (2k$+) to pay for all the neccesary stuff.
You are one beginner that has understood this very clearly. Any business requires some budget to start. A lot of people think that Affiliate Marketing can be done for free. This is a myth.

Yes there was a time when Affiliate Links were allowed in Forums, Youtube, Facebook and Many other places. So you could find affiliate products. Then go to these places. Start sharing your links and make money.

This model is long gone. Though if you do a search online you will only find a lot of old blogs and videos that are still there and promoting the same model.

Most of affiliate marketing has moved to Direct Response using Email. That model of marketing requires some work. That is why it is not very popular. Also it requires you to polish your skills in email marketing, selling, copy writing so most of them avoid it.

So if you want to do affiliate marketing the right way in which you can easily start earning the income goals you have within 90 days then look for trainings that are current and work for current scenario.

Pay attention to advertisement that is thrown at you from Blog Pages or Facebook Feed. See what those advertisement are saying and how they are moving you step by step into direction of sale. You will learn that everyone is asking for your email.

Maybe by now you have already signed up with your email at number of places. Check what emails they are sending you. Go to the Webnairs and see how they are selling from the webnairs.

Study the blogs you visit. Spot the affiliate products they are selling. Check what articles they are writing. Check how they are positioning their blog. Find out how you reached their blog. That is the way you can learn for free how other people are marketing their products and services online. That is the way you should then plan your own affiliate marketing.

Will I make it or crash and burn?
Nothing of that sort will happen if you adopt the right mindset. Study the existing millionaires and billionaires. They all started from Zero. The only reason they are there today is because they persevered and had more patience than people who gave up easily.

The Easiest Way to Make money Online

Set easy goals. Maybe set a goal to earn your first $ online it can be $20 or $50 or $100 it does not matter. Achieve this goal in the first month. Then set yourself another tiny goal. Just double the income for the next month and try that. If you keep doing that you will learn a lot about affiliate marketing as you set and achieve these small goals. You will not have to wait till 2019 to see if you are successful.

As I said in the beginning, "Success or Failure depends on when you give up." If you decide that no matter what I am going to make this work. Then no one can stop you.

Best of luck for your venture.

As I said on my post above, marketing differs from theory to practice a lot, you can't learn everything just by waiting and analyze, your analysis will miss a lot of things, also I'm impatient, I researched of course but it triggers my ocd waiting so much. I need action. I'm not expecting this to go smoothly without a lot of refinements in the process.

        UPDATE

I spent most of the time refining my plans and gathering knowledge, I also sent a bunch of emails and tried to approach a lot of gaming vendors. Sadly no luck.

There were serious complications with both of my plans.

The agent plan just can't work like that, everything about it is wrong. I will change it from a commission based business to a service sell business, there are many problems with the commission model like:

        1. I need to mention myself to the client... Most clients prefer to talk directly to the freelancer, It's more practical this way but I can't do that with a commission business because I have no control over the freelancer, he can take the money and say nothing. Lastly, sending emails again and again to the same blogs using the same domain and name, will flag me as spammer.

        2. I need to find both writers and clients, again very impractical

        3. Most writers don't cooperate nearly as much and they are kinda indifferent since the work is for free, If they instead paid a gig, they would be more likely to do their best to succeed.

        4. I rely on someone else to show responsibility, this is very risky and again not neccesary. I hate relying on others.

I will now sell email/contact form marketing services as a gig, this will grant me a lot of flexibility and also increase my target audience, I will not need to mention myself when I represent someone else, I will not need to find both clients and writers, writers will now be my clients, I won't need to rely on them since I will already have my money and finally, they will cooperate much better with me since their money will be at stake, so just by changing this business, I solve everything without changing its general goal.

I just thought that offering this service as a commission will make it easier to do something, in practice it creates tons of problems. I also realized that I need to appear more professional and in order to do so I need a site but since I can't create one atm, I will use fiverr instead, It's a decent replacement and will handle all the payment issues. So now this business is basically a selling email marketing business, that's it. I plan to add more forms of marketing in the distant future but right now, I want to focus in emails and contacts.

Overall, commision based agencies cannot work in my situation, you need to be already successful and have lots of referrals and a good site. It's not unlikely to try it again in the future but I will need a much better setup and influence in order to do so.

As for my gaming account plan, I just stopped it, It's impossible to overcome the problems. Accounts are way too scammy business and also there are no vendors out there who cooperate or their offers have some arbitrage value, lastly the platforms have specific restrictions that make it impossible to resell without actually buying first the account you want to resell. This business can only work if you have a lot of budget and you can buy the accounts you want to resell, otherwise the complications ruin it.

I thought at first to switch the business from reselling accounts to reselling services like gold, powerleveling, boosting etc since this is completely safe for the buyer and far more manageable, also there are no restrictions for this so it's like a perfect business but I haven't found any vendor who is willing to cooperate, I literally run out of vendors. Most of the established vendors have nothing to gain by cooperating and the non-established ones are unreliable. I haven't completely give up on this, I'm thinking to approach weak vendors since they will find my offering more valuable, I'm not very optimistic though, despite that I would really like such a business.

My experience with doing business so far is that I start to hate reselling without actually buying first, It's so unreliable business, there are always serious complications with it that make it impossible to start. I hate to beg others to lend me their weapons, I hate not having absolute control, I want to create my own internet weapon that I will be able to sell whenever I want and cash on it, this is my ultimate goal, I always wanted that and hated for having nothing of my own. I hope that selling marketing services will be the weapon that I'm looking for because I have nothing else besides this, I have games too but I can't call them *weapon*, you can create a business around them but they don't fit the type of business that I'm looking for. Generally, when I sell something of my own, I can at least "start", I sold things before. The reselling without buying business have kept me stucked. None ever cooperates and when they do, there are other impossible to overcome complications that ruin everything.

My goal for next week is to get scrapebox, this tool is a staple for the business I'm trying to run (or for every business tbh) I also want to get sendy, a staple email software. I need to finish the setup for the agent plan, I have a lot to do and learn. I also plan to find vendors for the gaming service plan. Everything is volatile atm, none of my businesses have stabilized yet, the first period will be the hardest since all the complications I didn't manage to find during my analysis have started to show up, if my businesses survive through them then there is a future.

I will update next tuesday again.

I am not keen on money goals only because; it takes you developing skills to make money, and it takes time to develop skills. During a time frame, if you see no money, or scant dollars, you lose your motivation and quit. I'd also be honest in owning your deep doubts, evidenced by your sign off question.

Here's my fave approach; I build a business because I enjoy doing it, and pay little attention to outcomes. Doing so keeps me passionate, persistent, providing value and building genuine bonds, all leading to long term success aka a full time income.

The skills I develop are marketing and business skills, I have already learned a lot that I couldn't figure out before starting.

I will also develop something very important, a bread and butter business who can get me from literally zero to $ in the short term. No business can make money in the short term without a decent budget or connections or advanced skills except service based businesses assuming you have a great resume and skills which I don't have. My research plan was to find a model that will work quick and will be viable for my circumstances (especially country), I also tried to be a realist, I know what I can do and what I cant.

I can't develop any skill without a budget or a lot of time (years) and I can't afford to wait so much, I need to make money fast. I'm not a native english speaker, I don't even have proficiency so it would take a LOT to learn anything writing related. Programming is more approachable but still it will be slow without a tutor assuming I want to turn it into a marketable skill.

I researched a lot and tried many things before I conclude these plans, I took into account pretty much everything, I don't claim they will work but they are the only plans that can fullfil my requirements.

Lastly, I won't give up and fail because I'm not doing something that is over my capabilities, most people who give up usually understimate what they need to commit and what their expectations are. I admit I had to research a lot to get a realistic view about my expectations but I knew this already because I have failed before. I also have self awareness so I know what to avoid because it will burn me out or I won't be able to handle it. My businesses are perfectly organized and there is nothing tedious about them, so I don't need to give up. Once I have some bots or VAs, It will become even easier.

What I noticed with business and marketing is that there is a huge gap between theory and practice, there were a lot of times that I thought that a specific business might be a good idea but when I tried it, I had to face things that I couldn't even think about and prevented me from doing anything. It got me kinda mad, now I feel better that I have found something that works smooth so far.

If I make a significant change to my plan that will be cutting out one business, so I can put even more focus on the another one, I think that was my only mistake, I underestimated how much attention heavy are both of them, I will keep both for one month though then I will see. I like both of them.

    UPDATE

I finally started to hear back from blogs, my emails improved a lot and I think that helped, their responses are negative though but at least they take me seriously which is nice of course for my confidence. I installed a nice email software called gmass, It really helps with sending bulk emails, I sent around 22 emails today.

I don't like the niche of my customer, it's not very popular tbh, he ask for too expensive gigs as well. It's not easy to make this work, I may add more writers but still I have to figure out more things.

I need to find a way to work smarter, I need to collect the emails faster either through software or VA, sadly some sites don't offer an email address, they expect you to contact them through their site, that's kinda bad, I wonder if you can still get their email address somehow. Luckily they aren't many, the majority offer an email address.

As for my gaming plan, I didn't bother, I have listed some accounts but I need to list much more and bump the listed ones in order to be effective, however I can't keep up with everything, after all it's supposed to be a side business. I need to find a way to work smart with it too, I need to become faster with the listings. Everything is about volume, I can't do everything manually otherwise I will fall back. I'm searching for bots who can create posts.

Overall, my focus will be on the setup these days, I already done a lot so I can afford to wait a bit, I need to make sure that my work will a be as efficient as possible.

First of all, you have to ask yourself what are you passionate about?

Most people just go into internet marketing just wanting to make money online which is a very narrow-minded perception from my view.

    Are you good in cooking?

Do you like drawing, singing or sports like golf?

Secondly, are there many people who like what you like as well?

Because if there are, there is a huge market demand for.

The third thing is to research on Google if there are relevant affiliate programs you can sign up, promote and get paid.

Last but not least, you need resell content in the form of articles and ads that you need to distribute through free and paid traffic channels to reach out to people whom you know are most likely interested to read and buy whatever you offer them.

    Hope this helps.

What I will say from my own experience is that you start as an affiliate with a niche that relates with a forum, be active in that forum and drive traffic to a blog (e.g Blogger) where your sales page link is on.

I wish you the best of luck. However what do you have to offer to those bloggers that they can´t get it by themselves?

If you wanna convince them then you have to offer them something they can´t or won´t do and be willing to pay to someone to do it for them.

I offer them advanced contact form marketing and job ad scouting/submitting, ofc I'm new so I don't have a list with clients to offer them gigs quick but you have to start somewhere. Even if they can do it themselves, I still save them time. You should never assume in business that if something is accesible or easy to you, it's the same to everyone else, there many people out there who simply don't know what you know even if that seems strange to you or if they know, they prefer spending money because they have a lot and they cba to bother, that's how you steal from the pie.

Generally speaking searching the web for answers is a really tedious process and not everyone is willing to do it, if you are capable to go through this pain for a long time, you already have an advantage imo. Most people just want to do what they know and nothing else. E.G. you have many people out there paying lots of money to PC technicians in order to format their pcs or connect the parts, you can learn this with a simple fast tutorial, yet that job is doing well and there many jobs like this, so judging what they can do themselves is usually not a good way to conclude if a business will be effective or not. The psychology of the majority is that they want to avoid troublesome and painful situations even if it's the simplest task, they perceive that simple task as something incredible hard or they just live in total ignorance and get enthusiast with your offer. This is why ecommerce is so strong too, people just buy what they find first, they don't bother searching for another offer. It takes a bit until you realize how powerfull google search is and how powerful resources exist on the web now.

      UPDATE

It was a rather tedious day, I worked a lot of hours but most of it was searching and organizing in order to improve the setup. I came across a powerful software called scrapebox and another one called paigham bot, I will definitely get one of those. It makes me wonder what else of that level could possibly exist on the web.

I still wait to hear a positive answer to my emails but I won't wait for long, I feel stuck with this business. I need to make it move faster and become more realistic, I will add the software and will try to maximize my contact form skills and lists, I need to create pretty big lists and I will try to recruit novice writers on very popular niche so they will ask for cheaper gigs and thus blogs will hire them easier. Gonna stay away from news blogs.

My gaming plan goes well for now, I prepare 40 lists (the max am I allowed), also I will do some nice cooperations, At this point it feels more realistic plan than the agent plan.

I will update again next week.

I think you should focus on ONLY ONE thing.

Why don't you start a youtube channel for game with the purpose of building your community with email list and then advice them game you have proven with affiliate links?

How do I gather email lists with youtube? I don't know if youtube would work for me, I don't think I can upload enough interesting content. I was thinking instead to make a twitch channel, I really like twitch because I can play games all day long and I lose nothing by streaming them, however my upload internet speed is really slow 0.4 kbps and also I'm not a native english speaker so I can't speak enough, lastly it's hard to monetize something like this, I just don't know how to monetize with affiliate links this kind of thing, no offer would make sense IMO. If I ever manage to get a better internet speed I may try a twitch channel on my native language and mix some english when I can. But it will be a fun side project. I would like to do this after the release of the new WoW expansion.

      UPDATE FOR THIS WEEK

This week was pure gold knowledge wise and I managed to make one sale on my first affiliate marketing campaign which made me 3$, Also my businesses are now up and running, there is nothing to setup anymore,

      Bad News

Well, I didn't manage to get the software I need for my email plan, I need to gather a small budget in order to buy it and I have no other means besides marketing to achieve this. I may have one alternative way to gain it but I rather do it through marketing, so I have to forfeit this plan for at least 2 months. Of course I don't give up on it, getting the contacts and learning to scrape is very powerful imo and I will definitely do it when I gather the $. I have gathered a lot of knowledge and resources on this subject.

Finally, my gaming plan is failing me, I managed to make a deal with a company but It's a very weak deal because of the way that company operates, It's impossible to promote properly and bank. In the end I can't make this work, I didn't give up on it because I lose nothing by maintaining this plan, it's just a weak supportive plan.

      New Plan

My biggest dilemma this week was how I will gather the budget for my email plan, when I started I thought it will be possible to make it work without $ but you can't offer anything valuable without the software, so I had to find an alternative way to make $ so I can buy the software.

In order to find what I should do, I spent a lot of time seeking more knowledge and read more strategies, I was pretty lucky to come across some powerful strategies and material that I really needed. Most strategies require some $ in order to work, basically the majority of strategies out there are "give $ to bring your offer infort of audience and pray" well there are some tips about ranking too which are nice tbh but I don't need them right now, there is not much explanation about the negotiation part or the copywriting plan, so all of these strategies are not helpful for me.

However the ones I found offered incredible copywriting tips and the good thing? I can use them since they are free. It was a big knowledge boost and I now think that copywriting is really an incredible art, I mean salesmen are hated on the web but if you are a great copywriter, you can turn this around, it's a very powerful and amazing art, using words to achieve your goals strategically.

So my main plan right now is using amazon affiliate program and create campaigns with it, Let's just say it is a big upgrade of my forum plan, It's a direct marketing plan and it's very powerful, I got some copywriting knowledge to make it work, in fact I feel this is the first time, I'm doing real business. This business model is something I sought from the start since I bothered with marketing but I didn't know how to make it work. I made 3 campaigns so far, the first one made me one sale, I sold an 70$ product, I don't know the outcome of the other 2 because the reports update slowly but the other 2 are supposed to be much better especially the 3rd one.

My new plan is to use this strategy to gather the budget I need and slowly add new more powerful forms of marketing to my plans, stage 1 are direct portals (where I'm now), stage 2 are emails (what I wanted to do) and perhaps Pinterest group boards, finally stage 3 is paid ad (my final plan) and perhaps seo, I don't plan to give up on my current strategy immediately once I reach a new level, I plan to transition slowly and also I want to use both affiliate offers (I really like affiliate marketing) and offer influencing too through emails (stage 2+).

I believe I will stay on stage 1 for at least 2 months because it takes 2 months to get paid from amazon but it's ok with me, I really like this plan, I don't want to burnout myself, I spent considerable amount of time searching the web and reading so I'm kinda tired and stressed, I will take it slow from now on and focus on the campaigns. Less reading more doing.

Goals for next week: Make more campaigns and focus a lot on promoting, Spent no more than 15-30 minutes per day reading about strategy and tips, Try to learn more advanced copywriting tricks.

      I will update every tuesday.

You say that you have no marketing skills and then you want to become agent for other bloggers. For doing that, you need to be better marketer than those bloggers!! (Or am I missing some point???)

I got some marketing skills and I have a solid strategy imo, I studied marketing in-depth during my research, I mostly meant technical skills like programming, writing, designing etc, I have done a little of those on a low level, so I have some general knowledge but not nearly enough to sell it. Marketing is indeed the only skill I developed a bit, so It's the only thing that can make me money right now, that's why I'm looking for businesses who are pure marketing ones and they don't involve much technical stuff, there is still some technical stuff but I can take care of it if it's something like emails since there are so many templates and guides online, at worst case scenario I can outsource it. I only focus on the strategy, after all that's the only thing I like anyway, I play strategy games for over 15 years and this is one of the reasons I like to study marketing so much, I have become addicted, it feels exactly like a game. I also like reading about persuation tactics through copywriting & design but hey I don't like writing or designing, I'm really a theory guy.

Just for the record: My first email campaign had over 50% open rate and over 30% response rate and that was about 22 emails only to top notch blogs who get lots of emails daily. I still think my emails sucked, I can improve them much more, my initial campaign plan was bad.

I will keep it very short and precise, Run 1 main job or business (your choice).

Setup couple of passive income platforms that make average income at least investment for good compensation monthly.

CPA can help you along with Drop-shipping stores.

You can reach around 1500 ~ 2000$ Monthly if you do it correctly and specially you will be investing around 200 - 300$ for this amount on average or a few more up and down.

Have a great success making that money Cheers!

I can't believe no one has pointed out the fact that there are many platforms for writers to find work and content buyers to find writers.

I recently posted an ebook in the main forum listing over a hundred places to sell your writing skills.

You need to go back to the drawing board.

That was a promising week that ended up really bad for me

I initially made around 20$ and had some items preordered who didn't ship so I made more than 20$ perhaps much more (I have good reasons to think so), I had big plans to niche down and automate most of my plan, I could improve it a lot by increasing volume and improving hashtags, At the very least I could make the budget I needed to proceed into the next stage of my plan, I would 100% made more than enough budget in 2 months.

    So what went wrong?

Amazon closed my account suddenly after 5 months for the stupid reason that my site didn't open or I didn't have content in it, I didn't break a single rule of their ToS and I even made enough sales, yet they closed it, suddenly they found that "my site was bad" and I couldn't pass the application because of it, I wasn't even aware that I was still waiting for an application approval after 5 months into the program. Couldn't they tell me that in 5 months? the funny thing is that this happened exactly before the preordered items got shipped, I still don't know how much $ I made from them AND today was the prime day! I could make a lot of $ promoting the prime offers.

On top of this, my basic promoting portal which is Reddit changed interface and became very unfriendly to my plan, now it's very bad without upvote manipulation, I'm not even getting answers to regular question threads, they turned it into a complete garbage and it was a big information tool for me.

So, the outcome? My plan is now bad and I have to invest into post boosting and other stuff which I'm not capable to do atm, I also lack a good ecommerce affiliate network, Amazon was the best, I'm now using ebay affiliate but I don't know if I can trust it and how it will end up, I have lost all of my trust to these programs. Their ToS is annoying and they can always find an excuse to shut you down. Finally I got theft on my money and those $ were important for me at this stage.

I'm not the one to give up but it sucks so much after you have found a working business and you spent so much time promoting and improving it and suddenly everything is ruined. I must not repeat the same mistakes again, I need a more reliable and flexible business, I was way too reliant on Amazon, I will keep playing with this plan using ebay but I see no future after these changes, I will probably have to change something.

Rellying on an affiliate product as the main product of your business is a mistake, the product/service that you sell must be solid, you should never be able to lose it under any circumstances or at least you should be able to replace it easily. Affiliating is only good for monetization and when you lose it, your business must be able to move on without it. I think it's more important to try to dominate one platform and become an influencer by selling something that you own rather than rellying on others. I thought affiliate products would be solid but they aren't.

Affiliate offers on their own are only good for the short term. You can pull some tricks with them like I did but that's not a real business, it won't survive in the long term. A real business needs a solid product and consistent audience growth plan, you can then mix some tricks into it without risking to ruin it. Some review sites use affiliate networks as their main products but I think they have enough influence to do that and they also have enough power to survive without these offers.

I will focus more on building the business and dominating one platform, more promoting for growth or building up instead of fast sales from now on. Paid ad is still a speculative trick. I need to have a solid base before I get there and in the end I may realize that I don't need it at all. This will be my main focus this week, I will reconsider everything. No more cheesy or "blackhat" stuff. After all blackhating requires constant payments for an unknown roi (if you are unskilled), I can't afford such strategy, yet. Any money that I give must offer me permanent and certain gain.

Amazon is mandatory for all of my plans, I begun with a completely different goal in mind but it turned out that ecommerce is my biggest strength atm, Amazon is very well organized and has amazing customer support. Ebay is nice tbh but I don't trust it, it is very strange and I see a lot of complains, the customer support is nowhere as good as Amazon's and there isn't a lot of info about it online. At least I know what to expect with Amazon now.

I'm gonna build 3 one page sites on weebly subdomain, one will be about ecommerce, the other about streaming/youtubing games(side fun plans), I don't plan to focus on these sites, I will keep them as basic as possible, I will update them every now and then, I just need to do enough so Amazon won't close my account again. Social media is my main focus.

I niche down my ecommerce plan to high end luxury watches, I like this niche because it is very straightforward and fun, It fits perfectly with my simple plan and Amazon has a nice commision on watches, I just need to make one sale within 2 months and I will bing more than enough money to improve further, it will be more than the minimum wage of my country. It keeps you motivated to think that you only need to sell once in order to succeed in such a big timelength. It's like playing a tournament in poker, you just need to win once, I always prefered this type of payments instead of consistent small payments, if you fail with the second payment plan, it drops your motivation a lot. Picking watches was not an easy choice, I had more success with home decor especially chairs, I think they have better demand but I don't like that niche anyway. I wanted a much more expensive plan than this.

Right now and until I have more than enough money to reach a higher stage "safely", this ecommerce plan is the only thing I can do and it proved that it can make me money (damn you amazon for stealing me), It's still a luckfest but there is nothing better to do. I pray to succeed once, If I do, all options will be open to me.

    UPDATE

My amazon associates account is active again and I made a website in order to not lose it this time, they said they will send the money I made on the previous one which is nice and shows that they are responsible and trustworthy. My website's purpose is to save my amazon's account and nothing else, It took me like 1 day to make it on a weebly subdomain and I admit that despite it's simplicity the design is really beautiful, I feel I learned a lot just by doing this, I now kinda understand how I'm supposed to make a vlog/blog and monetize them. I don't like including links within my posts, this limits your ability to write the content you want to, I prefer having the affiliate banners in the right section of the front page and the posts to the left. All it takes is one very attractive banner to make sales. This is the challenging part, you gotta find ways to make your monetizing attractive.

My site is a gaming vlog, I might be incapable to create blogging content but when it comes to videos, I now think I can create a lot of content, It didn't took me long to upload like 6 videos on a single day and I could upload much more, Of course someone would question the quality of these videos, you can't just upload videos where you play the same games again and again, you gotta make it look engaging, nevertheless, when you are a gamer, you can never run out of vlog content and I gotta think about this seriously because playing games is the only thing I'm capable doing well. If I could only find an effective way to monetize my gaming content then I could make some money, this holds me back, I can create a lot of content but what's the point if I don't make any $?

I completely gave up on my ecommerce plan, reddit is severely nerfed, people don't even answer my regular questions anymore, they turned that site into a garbage, my amazon offers no longer get any serious traffic, I had like 500 average clicks before the nerf, now I have like 30 on my links and it's not a real plan anyway, It's just a trick to make quick $ but it no longer works without paying for upvotes which I can't afford and don't want to.

I'm now thinking to make a real business that will be content driven and not sales driven, I don't want to bother with blackhat stuff anymore that works only for a limited period, I want an evergreen whitehat business, it's much easier to advertise engaging content compared to sales deals and you can also use all portals that way, so if they nerf one, you don't run out of advertising options. I'm also thinking that scraping is a good thing to know and boost your business but using it as your main business is way too blackhatish, I plan to learn that skill but not using it as my main business.

I still don't know what my main business will be, I'm thinking to do something gaming related, either streaming or youtubing but I just don't know how to monetize these things and make the content very engaging so I'm still skeptical. There is nothing else I can do besides gaming.

The good news this week? Well, I sold a gaming account for 260e, It was a good deal considering that most retailers didn't want to buy it at all and some offered like only 10e for this account. I had some success selling account stuff (that I owned), I sold two characters 150e each last year, This make me think that I could perhaps mix this game with streaming or youtubing and If I fail to drive traffic then I can always sell the account in the end and make $ anyway, so building it up will not be a complete waste. In fact if I improve the account a lot, I can even sell it for like 900e within 5 months, that would be close to 200e per month. Not that bad and if I could sell extra in-game items, I could make even more than this.

Anyway, right now I'm so confused, most of the stuff I tried failed or worked for a very short time and now I realize that I have to do something real, I now have the budget but I don't have a specific plan in mind, my budget is still not enough to speculate with it and throw it to paid ads and tricks, I have to invest it wisely for my main future business.

Next week goals: Create a real plan, that's it, I need a real plan.

If you mean creating a guide then yes, I thought about that, in fact I created a guidebook in the past about a game and it sold like 40 copies on amazon but I didn't know much about marketing back then and I didn't have any follower either, I gave up fast on this because the money didn't worth it. If I build enough audience then I may create an ebook again, this time it will be MUCH better.

As for coaching, if you mean selling coaching, I dunno, It's not impossible.

Both of these are good monetization methods for games.

    Update

After thinking a lot and analyzing everything I decided what I will do. I will do the only thing I had significant success until now and I know how it works, that's growing(not reselling) and selling gaming accounts. The account I sold last week for 273e gave me a lot of ideas about small things I can use in order to make this business successful, I can scale this business and grow multiple accounts at once. This business will probably not reach 1k per month but it can realistically reach 300-500e per month which is great for now. I will mix it with streaming and I will also make a guide which will potentially give me even more money(maybe MUCH more).

The problem is that it's a blackhat business so I'm not looking to commit into it for the long term but it's my best option for now, I may use it until the end of 2019. There is nothing else I can expect money with because I simply didn't try or know anything else. It's good to have a lot of money before trying new things because all of them require some sort of payment, so I will use this business to create a nice capital that will allow me to try new things who can give me even more $ with less effort.

This is the online world, there are tons of strategies out there but you just don't know if they will end up working for you too and you have to pay in order to try them, the strategies are the best for their owners and not everyone. I'm lucky to have at least one thing who has been tested and can guarantee me money even if it's not the best thing, when you realize how hopeless everything is then you start to respect the small things you can do even if they require much more effort for smaller reward.

As for the distant future, I'm not looking into gaming at all, I don't think I can be succesfull with youtube or twitch, I will fail surely, being a great gamer is not enough, personality is what matters the most and unique content. For now I mostly think about a solid blogging business on my native language that will mix a lot of blackhat elements and ecommerce, most likely an amazon review site. I had a skill that I overlooked but it may prove very useful, that's being capable to use two languages... I have great ideas about it, I thought anything non-english was useless but I was wrong, there are many advantages at having a non-english native language and I may use them. I'm not capable to become an english blogger but I'm more than capable to write stuff on my native language.

My current skillset cannot go past 300-500 per month, I need to slowly improve my skillset in order to reach 1k+ per month, I plan to do so by learning more about blackhat stuff, you can't rely on a blackhat business but having blackhat skills is an incredible support for any type of business you will try even if it's a whitehat one. It allows you to be flexible and accomplish things you can't normally do. My main focus will be scraping and blackhat copywriting. I will also look into things that might improve my gaming account business like botting.

All the money I made from the account I sold will be reinvested back into this account business, since this is the only thing that guarantee a positive roi and with such a small capital, you just don't gamble with unknown stuff. I plan to reach a 1k+ capital in 2 months then I may launch this blogging business as a side experiment mostly until it is mature enough to become my main business. There a lot of things to do now, I will probably not have much to say from now on, I plan to sell the accounts after 2 months or so, I will mostly update stuff about my streaming but I honestly don't expect anything from it, I will use it because well, why not? I might sell anything through it. It may take a while until I update again.

As a website owner, please note. Very few editors "hire" bloggers. Will they allow guest posts or contributing articles? Sure! Both of these are done for free or for links back to their blog or the company they work for.

Unless you are going to market them as "authors" or "freelancers" you probably aren't going to get many paying jobs for your clients. Also, you may want to work up some skills in press releases. Have your authors write a piece on a recent article on why they agree or disagree. Then use this PR to send to major news organizations. Just remember, this is what a lot of public relation firms already do.

    Good luck!!!

Well, We are past that already, that business died due to several factors but mostly lack of software and scraping skills, it was meant to be a prospecting business but I overestimated my ability to gather enough usefull emails. What is left from my opening thread is a gaming account business slightly changed, It's no longer a reselling business but a building account one and I already made 273e with it.
      Thanks for your input anyway.

Lots of things happened since I started the thread, I feel everything is more stable now, I wasn't mature enough when I started the thread, that's IM for you, you don't know what to expect until you try. There are still a lot to learn, I don't know where this will lead me but as long as I make 1k+ per month consistently, I will be happy. I didn't specify business on thread title because I knew that things would probably change a lot in this thread. I always work with a plan and a list of things that I should do but I learn new things on the way and I may change stuff because of it.

Now that I think about it, I should probably update my opening thread too.

    UPDATE

I'm still waiting for paypal to pay me, the 21 days restriction caught me offguard, I knew about it but I thought it was meant for ebay only, luckily I didn't miss anything because my business is supposed to start next week.

I spent most of my time preparing and planning for this business, I had a big obstacle that made scaling very hard or inefficient and without scaling this business is almost useless but I came up with a nice solution today, if it works then scaling will become VERY easy and this business will become very profitable.

I tried to stream abit too and made a video as well, I did it mostly to check how much traffic I will get through fb groups and discord, the results were dissapointing but I kinda expected it, the content was not so good and the groups were small but still even with a better content, I don't think you can expect too much from these traffic routes, I will try again in the future.

Imo, it's much easier to be successful with blogging than streaming/youtubing because educational/informative content has an advantage over entertainment content, the first one is much more baity and attractive, also it's easier to make guest posts as blogger and guest posting is a powerful way to draw a lot of traffic quick, I know this because I made guest posts in the past and the results were great. Overall blogging has access to very powerful ways of marketing that make it a solid business and not a bingo one.

    More on next update ^^

If you believe that nonsense, it's no wonder you haven't updated us in over 2 months.

You are wrong, I work intensely on my gaming plan for about 2 months now and I have made significant progress. The accounts I started before 2 months will profit me 200-250e each (they are up to this level now), I'm just waiting for something to happen until I sell them and this will happen very very soon(next week). I just don't know what to update, my business doesn't generate views/likes or whatever and I don't make sells quick either, so what do you expect me to update? my gaming progress? people arent familiar with it here. I planned to make a big update when I made my sells, if you can give me any ideas about how I can update more often then feel free to do so, Generally not every business can update once per week.

I made tons of mistakes and miscalculations on this plan which forced me to work so much more, I literally work 19 hours everyday for 60 days (the other 5 I sleep), If I didn't fail that much at the start then my plan would already be completed and I would have profit even more but that's the price to pay when you don't know a business inside out, I had to go through this but the next time I'm trying this it will be different. In the end I'm expecting to hit the goal I set since my last post (300-400$ for each month) despite my mistakes which will grant me the starting capital I desired in order to advance into better investments.

I said many things on this thread because when I started, I just didn't know what to do and made many experiments, so people are confused here, I will update my opening thread at some point but I cba to do that now.

My advice for everyone is this:

Find a way to turn the thing you are doing the most in your life and have the most knowledge about into a business, that's the only thing that can make you money in the end. That "thing" can of course change depending on your money too(some things are expensive) but the tip still stands. If you don't do something with passion or lack the skills to execute it and lack the passion to learn those skills then don't bother, you will fail 100%. I believe it's good idea to search in your hobbies for a viable business model. Mixing your best niche with your best skill = money. Also when you are doing business into something you tend to do a lot then you know how people talk and behave, that's VERY important in order to sell something. Consumer language and behavior matters a ton. Freelancers are completely different than gamers.

I personally stopped reading guides, they are good to give you inspiration but nothing more, just evaluate your skills/passions and do something with them, that's the secret. I'm doing just that and I think my estimated gains are similar to someone who works In mcdonalds (for my country standars), ofc I gathered knowledge about doing business so my future gains will be much more than this. Only time will tell... this journey is huge but I'm really enjoying it, it's challenging, tough, risky and very meaningful. I'm not giving up until it's december 31 2019 or I die. Not because I'm too tough to give up but instead because I'm having a lot of fun doing this.

I will make a more in-depth post for my business at some point

No one expects a daily dissertation on your progress, but when you disappear for two months, what would you expect the average person working in IM, who knows the obstacles most encounter, to think???

Hopefully, you can see my point. It shouldn't be that hard to understand and possibly, even, agree with.

A blogger, streamer or youtuber can update his weekly views/likes or whatever, An app seller can update his weekly sells, what can I update with? I'm playing games, growing accounts and then sell them, that was the plan and still is. It takes a lot of time to grow an account, so what can I update with before I sell it? shall I say something like *33% of work complete*, Well I will say this then, I will update the amount of work I completed but I can't go in-depth about this work because it doesn't concern a generic audience.

I plan to sell the accounts next week because I wait for one last update on some of them. It's not a wishful thinking to complete these sells, I already completed one before 2 months for 280$ and in fact that sell was really unexpected. I had some offers on the new accounts already but I delay selling them because I want to sell for more $.

I plan to make an in-depth post about my plan that will include details, thoughts and specific niche and when I do this, I will also update my opening thread but first I want to complete the sells, once that happen everything will be updated.

I would be crazy If I didn't aim higher, I wouldn't be able to survive in the long term but I'm not going to wait doing nothing because I can't make tons of $ with my current skills, I'm too tough to fall into this depressive trap. I'm going to complete what I started before two months and then I will see what I will do with my new capital. If I complete the sells it will be a good boost for my psychology and confidence, also I will now have a decent capital to work with.

Doing business improves you and that's why I do this, I will make low $ now with a lot of hard work too but I learn and will make more in the future with my new knowledge. It's not the same as working at mcdonalds, it leaves you some value that is useful later on. I already feel that my business intuition has improved a lot, I skip guides now because I kinda know what to expect, I know better now where I can offer value, how to evaluate my skills, human behavior, what tools to use... etc. The most important of all, I understand myself better.

Lastly, how many can they make money at will infront of their pc doing what they like? I can do exactly that now and make a minimum wage income for my country's standars, it's better to have some $ on the side to invest each month that having none. I believe I solved that part but time will tell..

The hardest part will be the follow up after this plan, I'm pessimistic because I know how
hard and unreachable everything is, the key is to offer consistent and scalable value, also be the owner of the valuable asset, if you cant offer value yourself then you should not seek to sell it from someone else unless you buy it first, I learned that the hard way. I'm not wasting my time now with cheap tricks but rather I aim to become more powerful and offer more value, it makes me feel better too, its always nice having a happy costumer with a product you created

My first account is up for sale, I'm waiting now, I have few more that I will place in the next week. I hate this type of business tbh and I made many mistakes too on my calculations but I may end up making an okay amount of money.

I hate the dangers tha lurk into this business type, there is alot of mistrust and scams, my listings are very professional but that's not enough, I can improve my trust level by verifying myself through my id but I don't want to do that tbh, I don't like sharing personal stuff in the web but I understand that you have to make sacrifices in order to succeed.

I initially started messing with business because I wanted to avoid risky situations, there are business types who don't face any like the one I did before on Amazon (which paid me 23$ btw), I may not give up this business type but I will reduce my focus to it.

I need to reevaluate my skills and create a new more efficient plan after I'm done with this. I was in a urgent need for capital, that's why I used this plan.

All my accounts are now up for sale, I completed every part I needed to, I now wait to get paid, I hope everything ends up well with this plan. I had a specific idea when I started this but many of my calculations went wrong, I made many mistakes, I hope my theory ends up working. This plan is not scalable and it's also very risky but it was the only thing that gave me a chance to improve my capital significantly in the short term. Despite the mistakes and miscalculations, I carried it to the end because it would have been a waste to give up midway.

I'm very tired now after 2 months of endless working... I will take a break and think about what to do next while I wait for someone to show up and buy something. I will give up on this plan for sure now, I may create 1 account for hobby purposes mostly and sell that if it improves enough but I will never do it again as a business.

The question now is, shall I keep messing with things that I can offer value or learn something completely new that can make me more $? I'm at a point where I have to make a big decision and commit to it. The only thing I can offer value and make money are gaming services, like a virtual assistant for games, I can't see what else I can offer to someone, I don't know how the other markets work either. I tried some cheap marketing tricks before and made money for a week or so until reddit changed completely and the trick no longer worked, I don't want to rely on tricks, you either offer something or you don't. Better to make less but be consistent.

Blogging, youtubing, streaming doesn't work with my niche, they can't generate any value, not with my skills/ideas at least and I'm way too antisocial/depressive to bother with these. I think programming is the only skill that can help with my niche and mentality, I can create bots or addons for games and sell those, this will also teach me an important skill that I can transfer to something else later on and will help with social media too. Generally I want to mess with programming stuff.

Lastly I'm considering ecommerce too, it is something viable assuming I complete the account sells, If I do I will no longer need to find suppliers, I will have the capital to buy the neccesary software to follow the arbitrage model or I can even buy stock and do the process normally, I hate dealing with suppliers... I can outsource a lot of stuff related to the niche I will follow. I don't like gambling though and tbh, I'm not knowledgeable on any ecommerce niche, this may end up being a waste of money without learning anything.

One important thing poker taught me was, *if you dont know what's your expected outcome then just pass*, that makes sense, if the chance for success is unknown then the default thinking is that its 50/50, the problem is that if you lose then you die and if you win then you didn't really make a significant change in your life, that's the situation I'm facing now. Knowing your chance for success in business means that you know your choices will offer value to someone. If you can't feel the value you are offering then you don't know what to expect. If I list an item for sell on ebay expecting someone will find it and buy it then I'm not offering value to anyone unless I assume that the physical product is the value I'm offering, therefore it's a matter of offering even more value. You need to evaluate the value you are offering and any other parameter, in order to succeed, you can't do things just because you can. I think the time I have spent doing business and reading has changed a bit my mindset, I think differently now, I now can see the point of all this and what I must do.

I noticed something when reading this thread - so looked closer.

You have used the word 'but' at least 100 times so far in this thread!

Go to the first page - use 'find' and 'highlight all' to see those 'buts' - and you'll see you are dismissing your own ideas.

        "This can work...but...."
        "XXX is good, but...."

When you follow and idea with 'but' you are saying "what I just said isn't true". It's an easy habit to get into - but a bad habit to have.

        I want money now
I'm looking for faster ways to make money
When you go from one thing to the next to the next....you are shutting yourself down. The 'money' is in doing one thing well - not in giving everything a quick try.

I'm sharing my analysis that's why there are many buts, I guess the purpose of this thread is to show my progress/strategy rather than share my decision making process. I will stop sharing it then, I understand that it might not be interesting to many. I usually build lists of very large text where I analyze all known details and experiences in order to decide what to do next, what I have to improve or change etc.

While staying persistent on one thing is a great thing on some occassions, it's also a terrible thing on others and I learned that the hard way. Analysis will sometimes force you to dismiss a lot of things because realistically they can't be done or they don't worth it or there is something you dislike a lot and can avoid or they aren't part of your goals. Even though I dismissed a lot of things, I haven't really given up once I started something. My goal was to make money quick, now my goal is to expand among something with potential since I having more resources available but I don't want to spend years doing this, I rather have a shot at making money while I'm trying or at least spend less time off work.

Anyway, the only thing I can do now is to wait for my money and continue the gaming plan or research. No matter what business I do next, I will need my own site soon, I think outsourcing is a good idea but I need to research it a bit more.

Now I face even more challenges. The plan I used could skip a lot of things that normall businesses do to improve their sales and still work, even though if I want to improve it then I need to do what a normall business does. There aren't only specific skills but also general ones that apply on every business and outnumber the specific ones by far. Just take a look how many things I need to know to improve my current or any business I will do after:

          1. Build/design a pro site exactly as I need it (not just a simplified blog)
          2. Seo
          3. Create paid ad campaigns
          4. Create email campaigns/sales funnel
          5. Build niche social media profiles and improve followers
          6. Scrapping emails / find niche relevant followers on social media
          7. Make illustrations for my site or campaigns
          8. Marketing Strategy plan

I didn't have to do anything of this, I advertise on forums and the copywriting that is required is not very challenging, now that I want to improve my business, I need to do most of these. I can skip some depending on the business.

All of these things are a beast on their own and some freelancers make a living offering only one of these services. So let's say I want an ecommerce plan or continue my current plan, how am I going to deal with all these things? how can I only know one thing well and succeed? it would be nice If I could focus on one thing but in this case I have to spend lots of $ to get everything else done in a proffesional level. This is the hardest part I'm facing now.

Focus on one thing and outsource everything else?
Learn multiple things at once but stop making business for several months or years?

As you can see, they aren't only the business specific skills (eg. programming) that cause me trouble now, you said something interesting, you only need to do one thing well, so do you believe that the ideal move is to outsource a lot? I think I read that advice somewhere, *handle what you can, outsource the rest*, well in marketing you don't need to do 100% of things in order to make money, you can make money even with a less percentage but ofc you will make less. Shall I focus on finding decent partners now instead of trying to learn everything myself (in practise)? is it all about outsourcing more and more as your capital gets bigger?

If you don't have a reliable team ready (friends, network etc) to assist you in a service then you need to go through 2 stages in order to scale it, first is gather lots of clients alone and second recruit members when you can afford giving them a monthly paycheck, maybe independent contractors too but the first one is easier. Stage 1 is neccesary in order to proceed to stage 2, you can't achieve stage 1 if the service you offer is very time consuming and not very profitable aka it has a bad $/time ratio.

Services that involve lots of labour can't do that and sadly gaming services are exactly that. They cannot be scaled unless you already have a reliable team ready to assist you. It can still make me some money similar to a low virtual assistant, something like 300-400$+ per month should be possible but no more than this unless you have some incredible skills and connections like being a top pro or something like that, even then you wont make much.

Literally the only thing I can do with my skills at a scalable level is reselling accounts instead of building them myself because building them isn't scalable at all and it caps at around 250-300$ per month. I'm researching more in-depth what I can do to protect myself because reselling instead of building accounts is much much riskier, the scam factor is very high on this business, It's by no means a bad business but terrible things can happen security wise. No business comes without risks or sacrifices anyway, you have to sacrifice something to make money, it's better if what holds you back is just fear instead of something that may require tons of work and tedious processes. Fear is something I can handle.

I'm still researching other plans, my favorite business model is ecommerce stock&ship(not dropship.. I hate that), I wanted to import from china or buy cheap from my country and sell on amazon but I can't do that due to very serious limitations in my country regarding such businesses.
Other plans don't attract me nearly as much, that's why I'm taking more seriously the gaming plan now and think about switching to reselling. It's an ecommerce plan anyway so not something I don't like.

        .................................................. ..................

Jeez, my third account has not been sold yet even though I took several steps to improve my profile and I reduced the price significantly, I probably failed somewhere. Maybe I was lucky and sold so early the other two, I want to finish with this plan already so I can proceed to the next. I have half month left to receive all my money. The only thing I can do until then is brainstorming and researching.

It might be good that paypal delays my money because I used all this time to research further everything, I have now a much better picture about everything. My business intuition has improved a lot. The reselling account plan requires serious legal support because it involves contracts and other stuff that can't be done without a lawyer I think, it also requires good inquisitor skills, seriously it's more of a *police* job than a ecommerce one. It's easy to market an account and sell assuming you have all the warranties in place but until you reach that point you need to investigate everything and take serious steps to prevent something terrible from happening. I'm not sure if I want to do that, living in constant fear is not good but I may not have a choice. It's kinda funny tbh.

I researched other stuff too, I think I have good chance to follow a traditional ecommerce plan, I think now that I can use my country as a product source, also I researched the software that is required and it's affordable. I want to learn more about product research and how to exploit amazon/ebay for profit. It would be VERY useful skill if I could do everything with ebay/amazon alone since any other form of marketing is completely out of my reach with my current budget.

Generally, the only cheap and powerfull forms of marketing is sharing content through social media or pay influencers to promote you, I can't create content, neither I can create great ad/landers, I'm really bad and I can't do much about it because besides the specific skills I'm not a native english speaker either so I have to pay a lot to do these and you can't do that if you don't know first that your offer is great and scalable, you can't go for a very cheap price either because quality matters a lot. I will eventually have to pay for copywriters/designers/developers/paidads but until that point, I need to be carried by forums or ecommerce platforms. This is the price for not having practical marketing skills. Since I can't attain that, I have to at least ensure that I'm as good as possible with the product I offer, this is something I can do.

Finally, I researched programming too. The gaming bot plan is impossible, it would take a lots of time and resources in order to reach the level of creating something like this. In order to get into this thing, I would have to start with something easier first like web developing. I'm not so motivated about this but it's something that I can do since there aren't any language, software expertise or creativity barriers, all it takes is logic and I'm good with logic, it's also possible to selflearn this while most of the other skills require tutoring preferably in your mother language. Motivation is what matters the most anyway and I'm more motivated about learning product research and the arbitrage ecommerce model instead of programming but you never know.

I will keep studying for next 15 days or so, I will get back to work when I receive the money and there will be no more researching, now I have the budget, knowledge and no more paypal delays so there aren't any excuses, I will commit this time until the end, no matter what I decide to do.

        .................................................. ..................

Seo is strange in the way that the consumer pie is being shared, Ebay/Amazon require some very advanced form of seo in order to succeed, you can't just list your product and expect to sell anything when you compete with hundred other items, none will ever see you. It's not a straightforward form of marketing like the rest. It's not even about finding an arbitrage or a perfect product on these platforms, it's all about the title and the listing, if there are no visible competitors then you can sell much higher, you can do a lot of tricks with seo. There are no shortcuts with marketing, you have to be skilled at it because if you are not you will be punished severely. I need to solve that part. The first thing I will do about it will be to hire a copywriter.

I once thought that programmers are the most powerfull beings on the web because they can create the most awesome products but after my marketing/business journey, I realize that copywriters with seo&design skills are by far more powerful, they really have an unfair advantage. Visibility&manipulation >>>>>> product&value.

        .................................................. ..................

I had an interesting discussion with someone today, his opinion about business was that he would never try to run any business unless he could offer a better product or better customer service/privileges (anything related to the customer) than his competitors AKA superior value. In my opinion having superior visibility/consumer manipulation can make up for the lack of value but he disagreed, he thought that it could work in the short term but it's not sustainable. I can't say for sure if that's correct or not because if it was correct there wouldn't be any small businesses running since those can't offer better value than the large ones, they steal from the pie due to consumer fault mostly AKA ignorance, lack of patience, engagement, attachment, unwillingness to change... not pure mathematical value. Emotion/psychology matters..

Despite that, I think that his words are not completely wrong, "real value" could possibly create a much stronger effect of "sustainability". I'm pretty sure that the million dollar companies are up to that level because they offer superior value unless of course they have copywriter gods or something like that. Sustainability is important because it could turn a bad and cheap marketing campaign into a profitable one in the long term, eg. a good campaign attracts 10 consumers while a bad campaign attracts 1 only, the bad campaign can still be saved if the 1 consumer is a permanent one due to the incredible value of the store, also it could bring referals to it. So a campaign that is -roi now could turn +roi in the distant future. Value can make your business huge but also it enables you to do successful marketing on a very small budget, that's my theory at least and it's a very important one for my current situation. Generally value can make up for the lack of marketing. Ideally you want to maximize both but you can't always do it.

Right now, I analyze my future business based on these two factors, Visibility/Manipulation and Value, I'm trying to find realistic and decent solutions for both but it's not easy. Those who sell gigs have it easier than those who sell physical products. Physical products are probably the most expensive and tough (marketing wise) but they make up for this due to the easy access to the product, you don't have to create it etc so you can focus more on other things. Personally I use a third factor too, that's commitment, being able to endure the hardships and get the job done. The plan I have been doing until now offered the best returns on these three factors according to what I was capable to do, it just wasn't scalable neither very profitable and that's another thing to account for.

The next plan will force me to pay, it will be the real thing, there are so many things you can pay for: influencers, fb ads, bing ads, google adwords, paying niche sites directly to promote you, blog for content marketing. There is surely one perfect choice based on math but I don't know it. What I know for sure is that I will be capable to pay for one thing and I can't do anything to avoid it.

        .................................................. ..................

I sold the account that the previous buyer didn't want for 210e through skrill, that was incredibly lucky, I managed to refund the previous buyer and my money are available and safe now, on top of this I profited 20e because skrill doesn't charge fees. That was one of the best things that could happen, I was scared that the previous buyer would eventually ask for a chargeback. It also made me look very proffesional, my promise wasn't for nothing. It was very hard to resell this, I now think that I shouldn't expect fast sells, reducing the price is a bad move, I should just wait until I find someone to buy them at the full price.

I don't like paypal, I'm not sure who thought that so easy chargebacks are a smart idea, I don't like doing business like this, you either get paid or you don't. I wouldn't care so much if I sold low ticket items but when you sell services or expensive items then it becomes a serious pain. I rather avoid businesses who have to deal with stuff like that, I'm allergic to this kind of thing. It turns a legit business into gambling, yes that kind of risk creates a gambling situation and a very bad one for your psychology.

These days, I have joined a "pro" dropshipping group, I got an unexpected invite by someone, I have gathered incredible info regarding the shopify/oberlo/fbads model. It doesn't look so bad tbh but I can't justify doing this. The cost is fairly low though, I can certainly support such a plan for a considerable amount of time, but should I do it? I can't foresee any edge, when I begun my gaming account plan, I knew that I will be able to sell the accounts because I had in-depth knowledge about the product and the market, I can't say the same thing about the physical product market. Sure I can read courses/tutorials etc, this group provived me with many and also expensive but there is something more that you need to win....besides logic and courses, that is intuition. When you lack intuition then you are in the dark, however that's impossible to attain without risking first, I don't want this knowledge to come at a great cost tbh, so I dunno.

My own insticts and experience say to invest into a strong gig. Gigs are the safest thing there is and you never risk anything, you can easily promote yourself through free channels and create a free base on fiverr, also you can increase the value of a service easier and in the worst case scenario, that skill is useful in real life while a closed store didn't give you anything useful in real life. The bad thing about gigs is that they can't easily lead to lots of money, they can't scale to the level and profit that physical products do. Ecommerce is just a safer form of trading, trading is the fastest way to lots of $ but also the riskier, dropshipping is safer because you can sell before you buy but you still risk by paying paid ads, it's impossible to do business without them. This type of business requires a very deep analysis and even then it wouldn't be enough, I will have to make a tough decision.

        .................................................. ..................

Second account delivery was confirmed by the buyer and I received the money before the 21 days mark, I didn't know I could do that, right now I have 350e and one account left at the 150e range. The most important thing, my money are safe. The second plan will begin at about 500e budget.

The only question I have to answer now is: does it worth dumping them on paid advertising or go for a safe and slow plan? everything else is free besides some very cheap courses. Finally I think that shopify is an excellent choice to build a site due to the partner offers. I will have to study a lot paid ads, there are infinite things you can do with it, that's where the real game is played.

I played a lot with shopify and oberlo, I normally don't like the dropship model due to the fact that it's very troublesome or even impossible to get a reliable supplier quick, however this combination makes it very easy to get a supplier, you only have to pick the products, everything else is taken care of, also it's very easy to build the site and it's completely free with the partner program. It's basically a game where you compete at paid ads and you have to make optimal choices. Well I'd rather compete at paid ads rather than cards, at least you don't have to spend 8 hours in front of the pc pushing the same buttons again and again. I can even do this from my mobile phone.

I have no reason to delay any longer, I have more than enough money to start the plan but I don't know what products to sell yet, I had one idea about a specific niche but there isn't any supplier available for it. I'd admit that I like this shopify/oberlo plan, actually it's exactly what I was looking for when I stopped playing poker, I wanted a less stressfull/more solid form of trading, nevertheless I won't do it just because it's so easy to start if there isn't any profit into it. Some say that this thing will get saturated but I don't believe this because competing for ads is the very soul of capitalism, it's something that everyone has to do in order to survive and win, so if that thing can get saturated then everything besides washing dishes can get saturated too. Ofc this thing cost money unlike other forms of advertising but life has expenses anyway so nothing is really free. We can always win if we think out of the box and hit at the perfect spot. This plan will also teach me very important skills about paid ads, building ecommerce sites/stores and the market, I'm very positive overall.

Shopify/oberlo/dropship/paid ads will be 90% my next plan but before I start, I will spend a lot of time reading some very expensive courses and watch videos regarding this subject, I won't proceed with the plan if I judge that the risk of ruin is too high on my current budget. Right now I'm very positive about this and I have incredible amount of resources in my hands.

        .................................................. ..................

I don't believe much in fb ads, google ads etc, even if I did, I would still not use those because I would need a very high roi close to 200% to make decent profit due to the taxes of my country, is that sustainable or even attainable? I honestly don't know but people would kill to get that kind of edge so I doubt it's possible for the majority. Some make money with these kind of ads them after a lot of testing but I see no reason to do this, this is like backtesting in stock/forex trading, I won't be gambling... I'd rather spend 100$ on a significant gain rather than 5$ on nothing.

What I like based on the numbers I see is influencer marketing, this is also paid advertising but it's more safe imo or it looks like that, I will target specific niche sites with large communities or instagram/pinterest influencers and will try to get good deals with them or even profit share. I think influencer marketing is the strongest marketing there is, I doubt anything else can even get close to this level except seo perhaps but seo is a long term form of marketing, it can't give you money right away. Profit share will be my main goal first or crazy good deals, I have no reason to treat this like gambling or waste money on tests, I can't test with my budget and I can't negotiate with fb/google/bing. I also plan to make my own social media profiles and increase followers through shareable content since I can't create my own, I will use bots to make this part easier. Most of my expensive courses are about social media especially instagram, I will spend a lot of hours watching and learn.

Even though I set a goal of 1k per month, that would still be bad in my country, It's one of the worst countries to do business, that's why I'm so paranoid and calculative, I have to use the strongest weapons in order to survive here, no matter what I do next the bar will be set very high. I will spend most of the november reading, I have 250gb worth of courses with great material on what I'm going to do.

        .................................................. ..................

I'm close at finishing my first course, it's a really nice course, I used to lose my focus easily when I read/watched new things especially on english but it didn't happen this time, every subject was very interesting and I learned a lot, it basically explained me everything I needed to know in detail, I always found topics related to strategy fascinating, they are probably the only topics that would not make me sleep. I'm not going to watch all of the courses since I don't think it's effective, you just need to read 2-3 to get you started and everything else is learned through experience.

I notice that I will have to pay a lot of fees, this shopify plan is expensive due to the amount of apps you have to use, it also involves a lot of copywriting. Copywriting is a pain because I'm not a master in english neither I can pay a copywriter to do it because there are so many product descriptions/emails that I have to do. I may be able to fix this problem by hiring an editor&proofreader and do the copywriting myself because I think editors are cheaper, not sure yet. Email content will be the hardest to do. No serious business can avoid this stuff anyway.

        .................................................. .............

I watched a webinar today, it didn't talk about a strategy that I didn't knew already, everything is pretty much the same at this point, product->landing/site/webinar etc->influencing/seo/emails, it's more about optimizing every technical part of your strategy, your copywriting, your campaigns etc. and having a knowledge about what/who people want to buy aka that's your expertise.

This webinar touched an important subject though and that's copywriting, this isn't problem only for me it seems, it's a problem even among english speaking people, it's a skill that has to be learned and takes lots of time, the amount of work is so much that it feels almost impossible to outsource it if you aren't on a very high budget. I now understand why there is so much demand about copywriters and why they make so much money. I will need a software or text boost, this is probably the most important piece of the puzzle that I have to solve, nothing else holds me back now.

I have finished the courses and I have learned a lot, I learned about some business models I didn't know about, I learned tons of things about paid ad and what method is best according to any situation, I learned lots of things about product research, testing parameters, funnels and the importance of copying. I understand now what methods are popular these days and what most marketers are trying to do. I see hundreds of opportunities now. These courses were great but they didn't teach much about picking a niche and a product, this is the most important part, everything else can be solved.

I'm trying to figure out now what should I sell, returns are a big deal online so If I go for a shopify plan then I can't sell expensive items because I risk losing it all. I'm thinking to sell toys or phone accessories/earphones because they are cheap, I think phone accessories is really the best low ticket niche, it's very easy to promote too. My favorite niche is board games or card games but it looks harder to find a supplier. I want to sell something profitable and cheap but I don't want to sell somethign that I don't like, how am I supposed to understand what my customer needs if I don't like or never used the product myself?

I thought that my options were limited but I now realize that you can turn anything even the smallest gig into a business by promoting it correctly. You don't even need a budget for some type of businesses if you do a partnership. I have to answer some questions before I launch my next plan. I don't want to lose my focus once I start because my campaigns or something else didn't go well. Finally I'm thinking to buy a ps4 & a TV during black friday and resell them after for a 300-400$ budget increase, also I will probably receive some holiday money from the state which will increase my budget even further, it may get close to 1200e or so but anyway, this won't affect my business decision, I already have enough money, it won't make much of a difference.

I will update on weekly basis now since I don't want to create another big wall of text

Creating gaming bots looks like a very tough task even for experienced developers based on my research, I normally love very tough challenges like this that test the brain, plus learning to create a program and a language like java offer invaluable skills that are both applicable IRL and on the web but sadly, in order to do this, I have to spent a considerable amount of time (months or years) without making any money at all. I don't have a job irl and neither the environment allows me to sit and study so easily, especially something that doesn't guarantee anything since it's a variable proffesion, also if you want to achieve great things on this then working as a team is a must.

I tried to study programming before and I was like...wtf am I doing? I want money now!, it's hard to focus when the environment is so stressful..your thoughts and desires eat you alive especially when you are dealing with something so stressful to the mind and psychology. I'm looking for faster ways to make money, I'm thinking a lot about ecommerce, I disliked dropshipping through suppliers and in fact I never managed to make it work but I can now use the arbitrage or fba models, these are applicable 100% since I control everything, plus if I complete the account sells then my paypal restrictions will be over which is one of the worst things when you are starting with ecommerce. I'm also experienced with ecommerce because well... selling accounts is still ecommerce. I have done a lot of customer support lately. Im researching some other plans too, I'm still looking for something better since my current plans are way too risky and seem nonscalable.

I will probably switch from gaming accounts to gaming services plan for this month, I need to test this as well and gather some more $, perhaps much more, I don't know...it is probably scalable through gaming service agency, you can spread the work you are getting, that's what I wanted to do with the blogging plan but I had no experience with blogs at all and no niche, therefore I failed. Gaming services agency is possible because I have a niche and I know the work that is involved, so I can offer it myself(very important to start an agency!), also I can communicate better with gamers. I will start as a freelancer and if the work is too much for me then I will spread it by recruiting more. I will do this for one month, it's the last chance for the gaming plan to scale. I also thought about buying and reselling accounts, it could potentially scale but the risks are incredible, it's the scammiest business on the web, Im still researching better security measures for this. Overall gaming services is much safer.

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense to learn everything besides one core skill related to your business, I will have to spend a lifetime and lots of $ to master everything and even then it won't be enough because everything evolves and I won't be able to keep up. It's good to have a theoritical knowledge about what your business needs and how things work but on a practical level, you have to outsource it. It's easy to setup a website and install a theme but if you want something proffesional that will attract customers and have all the neccesary functions, updates, seo and user friendly interface then you need an expert. Learning stuff through the web is very tough because you can't study in a systematic way, so learning multiple things will be a hell that will cause a lot of hesitation. It's not about lacking patience anymore, I don't want to be dead until I can run my business.

I guess I will start searching for reliable and cheap partners, I can't avoid this part of business, none succeed alone, if you want the goods then you have to risk and pay. It's all about managing my budget correctly now and invest on the most important things first. I still don't regret reading so many guides about so many different things because a theoritical foundation is a must even if you never use it in practice yourself. Finally, I think that outsourcing will improve my knowledge about the things I don't know because I will see how the freelancers I hire do it and copy them

I was a fool tbh, all you need in business is one solid idea and know how it is meant to be executed, you don't even need skills but you will save money if you got some. I'm looking into things from a completely new perspective and the possibilities are endless. You must be the coach in business but you don't have to be the player too.

I'm getting bored waiting for my other accounts to be sold and get paid by paypal so I'm in full theory mode now, I can't do much until I receive the money anyway.

I spent an entire day reading in-depth about seo and companies who offer this service, I mostly read about whitehat, I think I grasp the topic well now, this form of marketing requires some very advanced content in order to build links. I doubt I can outsource something so costly for so long (6 months+) before making money and the problem is that without very serious link building, you won't get far with seo unless you are blackhating (I don't want that), I rather focus building something that will endure even if I lose money in the short term, nevertheless I learned about pbns, most people who try seo online are mostly blackhaters, whitehat seo is very expensive, for the elite only. They say it's easier to rank if your site isn't english, I dunno how much of this is true.

In general outsourcing content is very expensive and without it, social media and especially seo lose their value, you are left with paid traffic then... social media is not useless if the content is of lower quality but good enough to attract some or make a sell. I said on my previous posts that you need a theoritical understanding about different marketing methods otherwise you will mismanage your budget, that's what I'm doing now, I will learn about social media and paid traffic. I have given up on seo for now but I'm still looking at it as a skill that I may want to attain and offer, onpage optimization only. I believe in the end I will be left with the same marketing tools I started aka forums and ecommerce platforms, social media might be the only new addition(very unlikely), I feel I won't be able to outsource paid traffic campaigns either but I have a better chance to succeed with it than any other marketing method. Assuming I fail to add new marketing methods into my plans then building a site is useless. I will just save my money and keep building my budget, I may invest on assisting software and more authority on the forums I operate, also hardware that I need for the work irl.

I received many offers for my accounts today but didn't make a sell yet, I think I'm close to sell one, I felt that my customer support was lacking, you have to talk in a special way with your buyers in order to look trustworthy, this is a skill too and I don't possess it, I must create a pattern but I don't know how. Finally I thought more in-depth about how can I scale my gaming service business and I found a way that looks reliable but requires mass recruiting since it's impossible to scale in another way when you offer a service. Looking back at my blogging agent plan, the plan I had back then was horrible, I don't know what I was thinking but the idea was not really thought well.

Second account sold for 140e, I'm not satisfied with this but it's not so bad price considering what I'm getting told now, again I have to wait 20 days to receive the money, this is really brutal. My total profits are about 150e now and I got one more account left, am I happy with this? clearly not, it didn't worth the effort but I profited, I gathered looots of exp and my capital will allow me to do more things now that I couldn't before. It's like poker, you slowly build up your capital and gather exp in the process, this will snowball and will make lots of money at some point. I personally treat it like a progressing game and not like succeed now or rip.

I finished my research about social media and paid advertising, paid ad is expensive and social media requires content. The incapability to create content is one of my biggest enemies right now. It's as I expected, I will probably have to resort on cheap marketing methods for now aka ecommerce platforms and forums, I also consider to buy scrapebox for some email scrapping and marketing, I'm not sure if it's worth it and will also depend on the business model I will follow. Finally, facebook might be the only social media I will add to my repertoire, I will participate into groups in order to build a friend list, you don't need content for this just decent answers. I think it's harder to do something similar with twitter so I wont bother with it.

I'm still not sure what to do next, there are many questions to answer. At least I know how to promote no matter what plan I follow. I have a better sense about how to spend my budget now so I don't think I will fail.

A dispute was raised today, a buyer stopped playing the game and asked for a refund, at first this looked scary considering there is nothing to protect me against a chargeback since you can't prove gaming account delivery and my money were still pending. In the end it somehow ended up to my favor, I refused to give him a refund and offered him assistance to resell the account which he accepted and on top of this I forced him to give me positive feedback in order to resell it easier. That one point of positive feedback is a really huge trust boost on the particular forum. I control the situation for now.

I made so many mistakes on every part of my plan but I haven't got punished for them yet, I have some losses on my profit estimations, that's all. I should have used Skrill instead of Paypal for the gaming account plan unless I'm dealing with very trustworthy ppl. I thought that Paypal will lift the restrictions after you make few sells but that's not the case. It's very bad to sell gaming accounts through paypal. Luckily it looks like the ppl I sold my accounts are trustworthy, so I probably don't face any danger. Literally this plan is facing so many dangers, it feels like a military operation, I honestly don't know why I did this to myself, I probably enjoy dangerous and troublesome situations like this.

I have improved a lot all my payment and security policies now and one of the reasons I could do that was the positive feedback too, right now I look very trustworthy to the buyers, I can do a bit more to improve the trust factor but I lack the money for now. I also improved my customer support, I look more proffesional. It feels like that in the end, I will manage to pull through a very dangerous situation unscathed.

Paypal approved me and now I won't have to wait 21 days anymore so the third account payment will be instant. This will make a huge difference to my progress.

I can see you already have necessary skills and enough budget to reach your mark. Just remember to focus and never give up. First test the water and then invest something over it. Dont just decide to advertise because SOME one else is making money with you.
    Make it happen . !
