Hi Herms,

That's kinda weird, your only other choice is to use another hosting account. Hostgator has some very cheap accounts and you can set up a unused domain or something there just for Backlink Booster.

All the best

I see what you are doing, even though the warrior forums stripped the code... I was going to add this to the future update to "Spread the load".

Thanks for the suggestion

Hey wait a minute there Sean,

I just had a thought based off of what you said above. I hope it leads somewhere productive.

Our domain name is with godaddy. However, we have the site itself hosted with someone else - a shopping cart. I've been dealing with the shopping cart. Should I be trying to upload this backlink booster stuff to godaddy instead?

Hi Herms,

That probably wont work unless you setup a subdomain like "test.yoursite.com" and have cheap hosting with GoDaddy. That being said, GoDaddy plays a bit funky with Backlink Booster so you may be better off with Hostgator.

I have a backlink from a PR8 .edu domain, which I haven't boosted yet. I created that backlink about a week before I started to use Backlink Booster. When I created this backlink I used pingomatic or some other services to ping it to different directories....

Is it safe to backlink boost it should I let that backlink rest?

Okay, well it looks like I'm gonna have to just give up on this because I can't move around anymore. I've gone from one hosting site to another because it's like no company out there has everything that you need. You always have to make some kind of sacrifice. I just finished moving my site over to this new hosting company this past week. Had to do a redirect on all my links in the search engines. And money money money is coming out of me every which way.

I can't believe it. A hosting company that doesn't accept php files. If it isn't one thing, it's another.

This looks like a great product.

Much success to everybody else.

@Loginname - I boost EDU domains all the time without issue. I also supply a good source of .edu domain backlinks with the course because these 2 work so well together.

@Herms - It is a highly unusual situation but like I said, you could create a subdomain like "test.yoursite.com" and have that point to a very cheap hosting account and have it setup there. That way you don't have to move your entire site and can have backlink booster working on the test subdomain. Just a thought based on the restrictions you are facing.

All the best

Hey Sean.. Thank you!
Ok Im still a bit confused here. I have 2 accounts set up with twitterfeed already. one is for the first pingfm. the second twitterfeed is for the second ping fm. when i manually used BLB of course then both twitter feeds get the BLB feed. Now I am still not sure how to set the drip feed one so that both twitterfeed accounts i have go through. i would think it has something to do with the configure php and having to also add the other ping API key as well?? not sure what to do though. thank you,

If you are using Twitterfeed on the RSS feed, Dripfeeder automatically updates the RSS feed that is then updated via Twitterfeed and thus, updates both your Ping.FM accounts

Hey Sean, Wow This is so confusing now??
No, it only updates the one that is listed in the configure php.
If i change the API Key in there then it posts to THAT one.
but can i somehow list both API keys in the configure php? I dont know how more to explain this other than my original BLB feed is not being updated when i use the drip feed. That is because in the my web cron i use this url ...http://www.yourdomain.com/blb/dripfe...?skey=YOURSKEY
should i be using something else there?
Should i be configuring something different?
I just sent another link and it still only posted to the one??

Hi there,

I am getting confused too... so let be take a step back. There is currently only one real way to post to 2 ping.FM accounts.

That is to have 4 Twitterfeed RSS feeds (one for Microblog and one for Blog) for each Ping.FM account.

We will have a way to create a "Switcher" that will allow random selection between multiple Ping.FM APIs for direct posting to ping.fm accounts in a future update.

As for the dripfeeder not updating the feed, please open a ticket in regards to that and I will have my tech team go over that with you.

All the best

Hi there,

The problem is that some of these sites have bad html to pull descriptions from so we are making some changes to the way it works in the next update where you can tell it to just use Spin code or have pre-set descriptions and titles in the links.txt.

We are also coding in some better junk removal for text and descriptions.

yeah that stuff is an unfortunate side effect of using the dripfeeder. I had my blogger site pulled for spam recently and I'd presume it was those kind of descriptions that may have triggered it. maybe would have happened anyway though.

Sean,

I am having a content based informationation ( CPA/affiliate) content site ( wordpress installed on Hostgator) built for me. I have asked to have your script incorporated into the install.

As you can tell I am not a programmer BUT want it done right. I am about to buy your software , but before I do so I would like to understand how you would set it up and why, so that I can confirm that this will actually help my SEO strategy and not interfere with other traffic gereneration ( SEO) methods I may use alongside this.

Can you please PM me at the soonest as I want to make purchase decision tonight, so I can pass this on to website developer.

Sean, I don't know much about backlinking - the most I've done so far, (basically), has been writing articles. I'm getting pretty confused. #1. I installed the backlink booster on the domain that I want to promote. #2. When I used the Allscoop RSS Submitter I must have screwed that up because I don't see that anything was submitted. #3. I then manually submitted the feed to the RSS directories you had in that pdf. While doing that - I got to thinking...

Many of the RSS directories asked for certain information. Some even asked for my website URL. Since backlink booster is installed on my domain, (so of course the feed is on the domain name), I entered my domain name,(the one that I'm boosting the backlinks to), where they asked for it. But I got to thinking. NOW, I have a feed with my domain name in it, with keywords in the descriptions that resemble my domain name, pointing back to pages with my domain in anchor text, (and with even more relevant keywords), and it sure seems to me like I'm leaving my site wide open to get a big slap from Google, don't you think so?

I hope I explained what I've got going on well enough to understand...

Sean

Sorry for all these stupid questions.

But, I just set up a list of links in the links.txt file and they are the same ones that I put in yesterday. I set up the twitterfeed thingo with Ping.fm so it should be posted already?

But nothing's happening.

What should I do to ensure that the drip feeder works.

Yes, I must agree with the others, this set up is like hell. I think I've installed everything, so how do I know if it works?

@Doug - You get a few extra backlinks from the RSS directories but as you are only boosting Backlinks (3rd level links) there is no reason for Google to slap you, which is one of the beauties of this system

@Jackson - Setting up the scheduler for the backlink dripfeeder is a little "Technical". If you open a ticket we can check it out for you.

Hi Sean,

I have a question for you. When I tried to use Allscoop RSS Submitter, I validated the URL http://www.mydomain.com/blb/blbrss.php and I found this result :

Recommendations

This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
  • line 67, column 0: Missing atom:link with rel="self" [help]
    </channel>

What should I do ?

Hi there,

Ignore it, this is a RSS 2.0 feed not an atom feed. So it's fine to ignore. This is from W3C's validator and you will see that this is an "Optional" item not an invalid feed.

W3C is a little over-strict and I have never seen any RSS directory fail a feed from Backlink Booster yet

I had a quick question here about BLB and dynamic pages.

Does it make sense in terms of backlinks to boost dynamic pages? I mean pages like this:

Code:
http://www.lan27.com/tools/Alexa/Index.asp?url=google.com
Yes there is a backlink there but it's only dynamic. Any thoughts on boosting those?

You know I have been considering this and working with stats pages, etc.

There is no reason this would not work perfectly as they are basically created pages once they have been accessed once.

It all counts at the end of the day.

Hey Sean, I went back to check to see how many of my profile links got indexed in google after running through Backlink Booster. These were from
last week.

YIKES...... most of the profile links were not indexed from last week. Is this normal? Some were but most not??

Hi there,

There is no real answer for that, they could be in the supplemental index or dupe content. Just keep an eye on them and see how it goes. Not every link or profile link will be indexed every time. However, with observation you may get to see which ones are causing a problem.

All the best

Sean,
Another thing just happened weird??
in the last set of links added 24 0f 50 did not get input into the rss?
i went back and checked. so i then thought ok i will just try to boost each of those links one by one. so as i started doing that, it came up ERROR ALREADY ADDED to the data base?
So now I cant add them and they were not listed on the rss.
how could that have happened?
Thank you, Dave

Hi Dave,

Usually when we see that happening it is due to duplicate titles. The system automatically filters out dupe titles to stop you getting flagged in the web 2.0 sites, etc.

I expect if you look at the database that is what is occurring. If not, please open a ticket and I will get my techs to take a look for you.

All the best

Quick question, and sorry if this was already answered in the thread... thread is REALLY long...

I finished setting up all my web 2.0 accounts in ping.fm and saw the note in the user guide about setting up the accounts correct for "blog" and "microblog" posting. As I understand from it, for the accounts that support both blog and microblog posting, we should only enable on or the other to avoid duplicate posts, is that correct?

Thanks

Hi Eric,

That is correct and preferably "Blog" if you have the choice. Next best option is Microblog. If you only have a status update then ignore it.

As for your question... That is likely caused by too many ping sites in the list and your server is struggling with them. If you are finding this is the case then you can use this condensed list instead of the 91 sites we currently have in there:

Code:
api.moreover.com/RPC2
api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2
audiorpc.weblogs.com/RPC2
blogpeople.net/ping
blogsearch.google.us/ping/RPC2
feedsky.com/api/RPC2
holycowdude.com/rpc/ping/
ping.blogoon.net/
ping.fc2.com/
ping.feedburner.com/
ping.kutsulog.net/
ping.namaan.net/rpc
ping.snap.com/ping/RPC2
ping.syndic8.com/xmlrpc.php
ping.weblogalot.com/rpc.php
rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/
rpc.icerocket.com:10080/
rpc.pingomatic.com
rpc.reader.livedoor.com/ping
rpc.twingly.com/
rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2
wasalive.com/ping/
www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates
xping.pubsub.com/ping/
This will dramatically speed things up for you. Just exchange these for the ones in your pingsites.txt file and you will be all set!

All the best and Happy New Year to you.

Sean

Hello, I have 2 questions for you about this product, and you can PM me the answer. They wouldn't let me send a pm because I'm "new" I guess.

1. Does this product ever have updates, and if so, are they free?
2. I've been looking at another product on here (I didn't know if it was appropriate to say the name or not), and they brag about getting you indexed in hours. Is it the same with this product as well? They seem like they do the same things, but yours seems like it adds a few more levels to the backlinks.

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi there,

I'll post the answers here to help others who have similar questions.

1. Yes, we release an update every month or so as required to add new features or improve functionality.

2. What we do here is an all-inclusive SEO strategy that is focused on a technique that I have been using for a long time to make every backlink a lot more powerful. The indexing part is just a small (but vital) aspect.

All the best

Sean,

As far as the RSS Submissions, do we submit the indivdual rss feeds from the accounts created for Ping.fm, or just the mashed feed created with RSS Mix?

Also, do we create a feed with feedkiller that mashes all the ping.fm accounts as well?

Just don't want to duplicate things and make a mess, but it seems like doing the above would be a good thing.

Thanks,
Chad

Thank you very much for the reply, but I had already bought the software (I'm sooo impatient). All I can say is Wow. This software is amazing, and I got it for $20 less here than straight to the site. I'm honestly blown away. I hate buying things like this on the internet, especially when the sales page is the length of an 18 page site crammed into one, and I guess that's because of so many scams and crap software being out there. I bought it with your 100% money back guarantee in mind, but now, not a chance. Since this morning, my site, that wasn't indexed then, has gotten into position 7 on Google (FN A). I do have one question for you though, I'm looking at RSS submitters, and I want to know what you think about RSS Feeds Submit, and RSS Bot. Do those look good? You tell us about a free one in your video, but it wouldn't work for me on Windows 7 Ultimate (x64). Thank you for your time.

@Chad - I prefer to mash them with either service, have not done both at the same time but you certainly can.

@Ape - Congratulations on your success with this, I always love to hear from customers who see fantastic results. To answer your question, my preference is K-Softs RSS Submit. However, RSSBot is pretty good but it only supports a few sites.

All the best

Hi Sean, This question may seem kind of stupid, but I would really like to hear how you would explain it.

I didn't like trying to get things going with ping.fm It wasn't so much ping.fm, but twitter is so slow I couldn't stand it.

So, I got going with Only-wire and registered with all the social bookmarking sites they support. Is that enough? Or would I be missing out on a bunch of "juice", and also, exactly how do I go about using Only-wire in the with the whole Backlink Booster system? I just don't seem to be able to "get it".

I just can't seem to "visualize" the whole process.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

@G - Do me a favor, PM me your paypal transaction ID or paypal email and I will reset the download (the easiest way).

@Hatch - You will be missing out on some link juice but you will still get a lot from just using Onlywire. With Backlink Booster, when you boost a link you should be presented a link to Onlywire. If not, please open a ticket and I will have my team look at it for you.

All the best
