with the 'standard' mode and the spin capability,would the truly unique be required even for that?

If we have our money sites with our own nicely written sales copy,of course we dont want to mess with that,but we can use the standard 'uniquer' settings and the spin option on new posts for adding additional content for our readers to view, and mainly for that spider food to increase rankings right?

I'm a newbie so I want to ask you if I'm understanding this right.

If you rank higher than the original author you will gain good traffic if their article was ranked well in the first place for their chosen keywords? So that means less time backlinking correct?

Also I've never done Social Bookmarking. Are you allowed to bookmark another author's original article? That's all you do to gain traffic for these articles is to SB them (referring to your sales page).

By using your plugin Google won't know you're using autoblogging as I heard they don't allow that?

I really struggle with getting traffic to my sites so I'm hoping your plugin makes it alittle easier as I really need to start earning some money.

There are 2 different benchmarks:

1) Being crawled
2) Being indexed

They don't necessarily happen at the same time. Your site can show up for days or weeks in a site:yoursite.com search without being in in the main results.

If it were me, I'd bookmark the post to get it noticed...

You can add blog subdomains, of course, but for an extra $7 I always host them on different domains.

I have read through all the posts, they seem to say how great your plugin is functionality wise but I haven't heard much about increased traffic or sales unless I missed it. I would think people have noticed a difference and would like to hear about it.

I did bookmark my post though. I used the truly unique method and did a lot of social bookmarking and RSS submits and after 6 days, it still isn't in the main index. What could I be doing wrong?

If I do a site: search, it shows up. But if I do an allintitle: search for my entire title, the only results are the social bookmarking sites I used, my actual post is nowhere to be found.

I see Steve invoked my name in his long catchup post a little while ago. The snippet he posted didn't tell the whole story, but I guess that since he's invoking me the issue has to do with using wpunique on non-WordPress platforms, an issue I've mentioned here in the past.

I don't have enough technical background to explain using the proper technical terms. So let me go at it using simple English.

As Steve explained very early in this thread, the idea of 'uniqueifying' is that wpunique translate the words of a post from one computer language to another. I forget the proper technical terms. I think, but am not certain, that after wpunique does its job the post is translated in HTML. Obviously the WordPress platform can publish in either of the two languages whose names I haven't mastered.

OK, what I do is this: I use one WordPress blog as my 'slave.' I never publish anything in this blog. It sits there in my account at my host, but it never sees the light of day.

I put the contents of the post I want to uniqueify into the usual place for posts on a WP blog. I set the wpunique button to 'yes' for uniqueifying (the top button). I press 'publish,' just the same way someone would press the publish button under normal circumstances.

After a moment a new screen comes up. It looks like the screen you had just a moment ago, except at the top there is a new line in yellow. It says 'Post published. View post.' Click the 'View post' link. The next page shows the post as it looks to a reader. Right click on the page, then click on 'View page source' (which is near the bottom of the list of choices).

The page source you see is HTML (as far as I know). Scroll down a screen or so and you will see the code for the page you just wrote. Copy the code for the page (usually it begins with a < p > and ends with a < / p > [ignore the extra spaces I put into this post]). Copy this code and paste it into the place where you want to publish it. Most of the time I use Blogger, which gives you the choice of publishing in HTML or a choice they call 'Compose' I put it into HTML and it publishes clearly right away.

The whole operation takes maybe a minute or less once you have it down.

Results so far using wpunique? Artistically excellent. I am #2 on google for indiaspice.in, which is blogger. That puts me ahead of wikipedia and an official Indian government website. Unfortunately, not so many visitors and just a few clicks. Bear in mind: this is not a popular keyword and I haven't pimped the blog up for maximum revenue. Similar mixed results for other websites where I've used wpunique: artistically great, financially mixed. But I am absolutely not the best example because I prefer playing around to seriously making money.

I bought your WSO and used it on my old sites and that's true that Google indexed it very fast and showed on page 3 or 4 but if i search the term after one day the link of my sites vanished and some of them on went 20 ore even more.

I wasnt referring to using autoblogging on my moneysites. Rather I'm talking about using various dup content on my money site to keep it fresh in the eyes of google,add pages, etc but using the wp unique (standard and spin) on that dup content to make it unique for my site. While leaving my own created content alone.

1) Somewhere on the first 4 pages in this thread you answered someones question in relation to what auto-poster to use by saying they should use the one you were building. That was some time ago, though, and I'm wondering if you actually finished the auto-poster and if so whether you have put it up for sale?

2) If this works as advertised I would be interested in a developers license for the plugin. Would that be possible? If you PM me can you please make sure to also leave your email as I can't PM you back with my current post count here in WF.

This technique I was thinking could also be used to spin dup content and make it unique/yours to use wherever you need 'unique' content.

Yes, I have my 'slave' set to private. The code is set to standard. That doesn't mean you can't use different settings.

I haven't done spinning mainly because it would consume too much time. I have far too many domains. I try to knock out at least 10 per day, total time from start to finish = between 1-2 hours. Spinning produces articles that have to be read and proofed. Each article would take about a half hour to proof. If I had only a handful of domains I'd spin, but I have too many.

I've decided to abandon the business model of owning many, many domains. It distracts me and takes too much time. I don't know how openly WF allows me to publicize my sale of these domains. I put together four packages of domains, each package containing many expiring domains. To be on the conservative side, all I'll say here is that if you are in the market for domains either go to eBay and look for domains offered this coming weekend with the word PREMIUM in the top line or get my tweets on Twitter using the name I use here. I have automated notices of the sale for a few more days.

About Google and this plugin: I cannot answer for Steve, I am sure he will provide his own answer once his life permits him to come back to this board. I had the same worry as you at the beginning. Several things have dispelled that worry. Here's one nail in the worry coffin:

Recently I was viewing the popular 30 Day Challenge videos at YouTube. Somewhere about video 6 or 7 or 8 they flog a program called [I forget the first word, maybe Article] Samurai. They use the program to get articles ready to publish.

In the videos they showed the dashboard of the program. One of the options available on the dashboard is HTML. In other words, it appears there have been other programs which did the same thing Steve's program does. It's not new. It's been around for a while.

I'm still in Steve's corner because his plugin is easy to use, inexpensive and he provides superior customer service. It's possible his plugin works a little differently or produces slightly different results. He will have to clarify that issue. But in principle he's not doing anything that others have not done, and Google has lived with this stuff for a long time.

If I'm wrong, fire away.

The simple answer is: yes, of course.

Anything posted on a Google forum, moderated by Google staff...of course it could end up on their radar.

We'd be dumb to assume otherwise.

As for "banning" or "sandboxing"...well...let's just take a look at what we're doing:

We're taking one perfectly valid character-set, and re-encoding our posts into another, equally valid, character-set...we know it's valid because our browsers can translate the code.

I say "we" and "our" because we're both running WPUnique! Not because I'm trying to turn myself 3rd person!

So...from my perspective, the worst that can happen is that the search engines will figure it out, and simply *ignore* the changes to our code.

In which case, it's my job to stay ahead of the curve, by adding new features, functionality and techniques...

As one of my customers pointed out: "It's a perpetual arms race"...

Steve, I just saw your previous post about the sad news regarding your friend. As someone who has been through similar stuff, I know how tough that is and I'm really sorry about that. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question and now see why you couldn't get to it before.

This is a tough question to answer no doubt, but what do you think is the possibility that Google could sandbox or ban sites that use your plugin (That happened to me once and took forever to get that money site back up there)? Has anyone used something similar before you developed your plugin that hasn't had any problems?

As for "banning" or "sandboxing"...well...let's just take a look at what we're doing:

We're taking one perfectly valid character-set, and re-encoding our posts into another, equally valid, character-set...we know it's valid because our browsers can translate the code.

I say "we" and "our" because we're both running WPUnique! Not because I'm trying to turn myself 3rd person!

So...from my perspective, the worst that can happen is that the search engines will figure it out, and simply *ignore* the changes to our code.

In which case, it's my job to stay ahead of the curve, by adding new features, functionality and techniques...

As one of my customers pointed out: "It's a perpetual arms race"...

For what it's worth, all I can say is no-one has reported any Google-related "nasties".

I don't actually recommend using WPUnique on your money sites for exactly this reason...

It was developed to help with peripheral, "throwaway" sites...such as autoblogs...where the risk is low and the potential reward is high.

Hi Jerome,

I would recommend "uniquing" your articles and comments, using the "standard" setting...maybe a splash of auto-spin...and see where you get to from there.

ReivewAzon pulls the data from Amazon on every load unless you cache it, but then you get the annoying cache message on your posts. I'm not sure if wp-unique can rewrite the cached posts?

Hi there,

I'm happy to take a look for you (of course).

I've gotten WPUnique and ReviewAZON working several times, but I don't own ReviewAZON myself and don't know about the cacheing...

However, I'm pretty certain you can get them both working by tweaking the wpunique.php file a little (don't look so scared

)

If you open up your plugin editor, and select WPUnique, you can edit the wpunique.php file...

About 10-15 lines from the bottom of the file, you'll see the following 2 lines:

Code:

	add_filter('the_content', 'wpunique_filter',1);
	add_filter('comment_text', 'wpunique_filter_comment',1);

...and if you change the 1's into 999's like this:

	add_filter('the_content', 'wpunique_filter',999);
	add_filter('comment_text', 'wpunique_filter_comment',999);

...and save the file...

...then I'm fairly certain WPUnique will correctly "uniquify" the ReviewAZON content...regardless of whether it's cached or not.

Obviously the WordPress platform can publish in either of the two languages whose names I haven't mastered. OK, what I do is this: I use one WordPress blog as my 'slave.' I never publish anything in this blog. It sits there in my account at my host, but it never sees the light of day. I put the contents of the post I want to uniqueify into the usual place for posts on a WP blog. I set the wpunique button to 'yes' for uniqueifying (the top button). I press 'publish,' just the same way someone would press the publish button under normal circumstances. After a moment a new screen comes up. It looks like the screen you had just a moment ago, except at the top there is a new line in yellow. It says 'Post published. View post.' Click the 'View post' link. The next page shows the post as it looks to a reader. Right click on the page, then click on 'View page source' (which is near the bottom of the list of choices). The page source you see is HTML (as far as I know). Scroll down a screen or so and you will see the code for the page you just wrote. Copy the code for the page (usually it begins with a < p > and ends with a < / p > [ignore the extra spaces I put into this post]). Copy this code and paste it into the place where you want to publish it. Most of the time I use Blogger, which gives you the choice of publishing in HTML or a choice they call 'Compose' I put it into HTML and it publishes clearly right away. The whole operation takes maybe a minute or less once you have it down. Got it?

I haven't done spinning mainly because it would consume too much time. I have far too many domains. I try to knock out at least 10 per day, total time from start to finish = between 1-2 hours. Spinning produces articles that have to be read and proofed. Each article would take about a half hour to proof. If I had only a handful of domains I'd spin, but I have too many. I've decided to abandon the business model of owning many, many domains. It distracts me and takes too much time. I don't know how openly WF allows me to publicize my sale of these domains. I put together four packages of domains, each package containing many expiring domains. To be on the conservative side, all I'll say here is that if you are in the market for domains either go to eBay and look for domains offered this coming weekend with the word PREMIUM in the top line or get my tweets on Twitter using the name I use here. I have automated notices of the sale for a few more days.

I had the same worry as you at the beginning. Several things have dispelled that worry. Here's one nail in the worry coffin: Recently I was viewing the popular 30 Day Challenge videos at YouTube. Somewhere about video 6 or 7 or 8 they flog a program called [I forget the first word, maybe Article] Samurai. They use the program to get articles ready to publish. In the videos they showed the dashboard of the program. One of the options available on the dashboard is HTML. In other words, it appears there have been other programs which did the same thing Steve's program does. It's not new. It's been around for a while. I'm still in Steve's corner because his plugin is easy to use, inexpensive and he provides superior customer service. It's possible his plugin works a little differently or produces slightly different results. He will have to clarify that issue. But in principle he's not doing anything that others have not done, and Google has lived with this stuff for a long time. If I'm wrong, fire away.

Original Author "RELEGATE Share on: ReivewAzon pulls the data from Amazon on every load unless you cache it, but then you get the annoying cache message on your posts. I'm not sure if wp-unique can rewrite the cached posts? I was hoping it would work too. Hopefully Steve will popin and let us know.
