Just purchased your cool plugin, Steve. Install went smoothly and it works as advertised (with more "bells and whistles" than you advertised). I mainly wanted to use it to spin some of my own customized synonyms, and it does that just fine.

However, I do want to bring up a topic that has been neglected a bit in this thread:

How does G look upon those that have the "Uniquify Mode" feature turned on. I know there has been discussion in the past about another plugin, Uniquefier, that does something similar. This seems to go against G's TOS (showing the bots one thing and the visitor another for the purpose of advanced ranking). Don't get me wrong, I want to use this great feature as well, but since I use ads*nse for monetization, I fear it might lead to deindexing (or "sandboxing") and/or my entire ads*nse account termination.

Has anyone had any problems or insight in this regard?


Two things (thus far) that I LOVE about his plugin:

1. Ability to change the synonym list, of course, and the percentage of the master synonym list to use (this is great thinking on Steve's part, allowing each person who is using this plugin a unique amount of spinning thereby creating very customized content for each user).

2. Ability to change the amount of "uniquified" words, also decreasing the footprint from G (if most people, as they should, change the dictionary words used in the dictionary.txt file).

RE: Google's opinion.

One thing I do know is that the "showing one thing to the search engines, and another thing to the viewers" meme doesn't quite fit...

WPUnique shows the same thing to both the search engines, and your web browser.

It just so happens that your web browser translates the code back into human-readable form...

...it's the *exact* same content either way...as you can confirm if you do a view=>page source.

In other words, it's the same code, but it gets translated by your browser into words you can read.

I hope that makes some kind of sense!

Thanks, Steve, for the explanation. This plugin is just what I needed. I toned down the number of dictionary words (that are replaced) and changed up the synonym list a bit. The result is semi-unique content that will work well since my competition is rather weak for the niches in which I work. I combine this semi-unique content with other content that I write or have written.

I know there are other plugin solutions, but this seems to be the whole package for a very reasonable price. I will keep an eye out for any other products you might have in the future.

I know there are no stupid questions, just stupid people. So here is my stupid people question.

I am in the fitness niche, I am optimizing my site for a vast array of products (some product names).

When designing the protected keyword file, lets say I want the term "olympic weight lifting bench" untouched...do I have to write out the whole term in one line or can I do this instead...

I am trying to avoid having to input every possible combination of the keywords, and I have allot of them I going for which will make the protected list awfully long and crowded.

Also is there a danger of having too long a protected list? Does this lessen the ability of the plugin to make it unique?

Sorry if this question is redundant, this thread seems to go on to infinity.

Truly, it depends on the competitiveness of the niche, and the keywords you're targeting.

If you're trying to rank top 10 for "weight loss", you'll need more than WPUnique to help you...

On the other hand, if you target a keyword with moderate competition, you should be able to rank equally, if not higher than your competitors with very little effort.

I Have Duplicate Article titled "Student Loan Help,for blah2x"
The "Student Loan Help" keyword is also in some place in article body,,,,then i activate The plugin and i look at page source and i see my article become weird code but i still see few words that still not become weird words...
but on those few words that not become Weird and Unique i didn't see my "Student Loan Help" keyword cuz it has been changed to Unique weird words (In source Page). So can i still Rank for "Student Loan HElp" ? i ask this since "Student Loan Help" is nowhere to be found when i look at the page "source code". Or i have to do something with my keyword ?

It's only the source code which looks "weird and unique"



If you want to make sure you protect your main keywords from getting "uniquified", then you should use the "protectedkeywords.txt" file...

...sounds like it's exactly what you need.

If you have an older version of WPUnique (older than v2.7), please let me know, and I'll send you the latest!

Great question!

I would say this...purely from an SEO perspective...

If you feel the need to protect a ton of keywords, you probably need to focus a little tighter on the "actual" keywords you realistically want to rank for.

Having said that, the answer to your original question is probably "no"...there's not much of a danger, as long as a good percentage of your posts are modified.

Forgive me if this is a blonde (or grey) moment but in the original example, Steve the search term was followed by the word "republish" which I appreciate the need for. But so far having typed in my main search term and then "republish" I am getting sites that are not in the top ten. e.g. "weight loss tips republish" (for purposes of illustration only)

I suppose I am answering my own question here but do I use other methods of searching for a permission free blog article without typing "republish" in the search engine? It might be just me misinterpreting the functionality so apologies in advance if it is.

The "Keyword to Cash" option seems to operate like the plugin SEO Smart links by Vladimir Prelovac.

The only thing I noticed is that there is no setting as to how many times the words we define as cashlinks to be used. Example, I only want the keyword "ladies handbags" linked 2 or 3 times in each post, even if the keyword appears more than 2 or 3 times.

Is this something you will introduce in a future update?

I only searched for "republish" to demonstrate that the article was available for syndication.

Practically every article directory will let you republish content.

...and don't forget, some content (PLR, public domain) also let's you claim authorship completely!

- Is it possible to decide which posts or pages to uniquify? If not, will it uniquify both pages and posts?
- Given that I am going to try it for other languages as well, is it clear in the guide what to change to make it work with other languages?

I pull allot of ezinearticles (with link to orginal article off course). Whenever I search a piece of text from my site that was uniquified using the "truly unique" setting I see Google has indexed my post as another source ( which is good).

Help me on this one:

If Google sees my post as unique would it still index it as related to the original? Is it still unique is my question.

I might be missing the big picture on this one?

Yes, you have full contol over which posts/pages you can "uniquify"


There are 3 text files included which will need to be translated if you want to use WPUnique in another language - a dictionary file, and 2 synonym files...

Many thanks for your custom. You (literally) Rock, RocksIT!

Whatever you select in the "global options" page (settings=>WPUnique) will automatically work across your entire blog - past, present and future.

You can override these settings on a post-by-post basis (which I guess is what you've noticed in the add/edit new posts screen)

Just a quick question before making my final purchase decision.

After watching your videos on your sales page - I'm a little confused. Initially you mention that since the ascii code is changed on the backend from a Google perspective, it sees the uniquified post as unique.

However, a little later in the video you mention that on the same keyword you were ranked above the original content owner, and they were placed in the supplemental results.

So my question is this - if Google sees the articles / posts as unique, how does it relate it to the original article in the first place in order to put it in the supplemental results?
