Hey Chris,

All the hype around cafeine before and when it came out was a bit blown up. There hasn't really been a difference regarding PR or real slaps regarding websites, they did tend to disappear for a couple of weeks but that all came back to "normal" later. Caffeine is more an internal indexing accelerator, basically google sees and finds more faster than it used to, based on IP tracking/cross referencing, enabling them to pinpoint or localize the entered keywords and deliver a wider scope of information.
SEO hasn't IMHO changed that much and I'm basing my knowledge on 2 specific sites of mine which were uploaded and designed souly for SEO purposes, meaning without backlinks, without much content(but original), no autoblogging and no article directories or such, no black or greyhat. Both sites reached page one within 2 weeks from 13mill/20mill. and are still there without adding/changing the content!!!

Anything you need today regarding SEO, you needed it 3 years ago as well!
So if your site is well optimized with the right keywords, you'll get to the top of google and stay there. Autoblogging has made many people lazy and lead them to believe that SEO is secondary. This is not true, rather the other way round. Autoblogging done correctly together with top SEO will almost garanty a #1 position, but autoblogging alone will not! A main point about caffeine is the activity but this also has to SEO'd

Dripping good quality, high PR backlinks of PR 4-9 was and always will be a Strong method to use and buying top expired domains is a fantastic way boost your sites

Thanks for that. You just confirmed what I thought, so I am right in what I am doing. I will tighten up on my SEO activities.
Just a quick bit of feedback.
The two sites showing different results with WP unique are both indexed with Google without the www, so they are both being dealt with the same way, so it may just be the seo aspect. more soon.

simply enter yourdomain.com in quotes " " in google search bar

or if you want to know what position your site is at, use Traffic Travis (free and pro version), but if you search too deep into google, then google will block your IP for about 15 minutes so to avoid that you can use a great Proxy Program. The free demo never runs out and it's not necessary to purchase the full version when using it for your above mentioned purposes.

Hi Tigerwar,
Thanks for the help and the tool.
I did the search in "" "" and it came up with various entries, but they are all fairly old ones from when I first set up the site. None of the recent content is showing at all.
I ran the diagnostics using Traffic Travis. I had 278 keywords all of which registered `0`!
I did check with the webmaster tools at Google, and I added the two different variations of the site address, i.e. with the www and without. There was a slight problem with the meta descriptions but I fixed that.
I have checked all the articles added after a certain point when I was at #1 for an article, and none of them are showing anywhere in Google. Its as if they don't exist?
I must admit that I am a bit concerned, because it is just like a switch suddenly being switched off.
The other WP site just salis on getting autoposted articles and being at #1 or 2 within hours.
I have even checked the source code side by side, but they are configured identically.
I am running out of ideas unless you have any more thoughts?

Chris, did you enter the keywords manually or how?

when I withdraw your keywords I get total 274 and when I take duplicates out I'm left with 94.
You have total posts 59.

I went 1000 pages deep and only 15 posts/keywords were found by altvista and Yahoo, 0 by google.

The keywords(not all) don't appear to be matching the content that were actually found!

So I can well imagine that google sees your site as a "spam orgy" and is simply ignoring it!

I would suggest correcting the keywords according to the content and ask google to review your site once you have completed the "all-in-one-SEO" plugin.

The problem with trying to repair a site that's autoblogging from different sources is that most people do only half a job(without realising), leaving left-overs with no reference points and these accumulate over time in the background, but that is what SE's see. I am not saying that this is what has happened but it appears that way.

Any changes you make to your site, always make a backup first.

Thanks for the report.
I have now got to the bottom of it.
Yes, the keywords were part of the issue, but also the configuration of the all-in-one SEO was a problem. I had duplicate meta descriptions and tags for some reason? They seem to have been generated somehow, I certainly did not do them. Anyway, I deleted all the duplicate tags and meta descriptions. I also took out some of the html from the header that related to the meta descriptions because the SEO plugin was duplicating them. I amended the length of the title and meta title descriptions. I went to the Google webtools page and went through all of the issues thrown up by the Google crawl tools, these were html coding issues mainly, so I corrected them. Finally, I sorted out the image tags, as they had been duplicated by the other SEO plugin I have.
I have just checked and the last three articles posted are ALL at #1 position with Google's `starred` position, so I have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous!!
It just shows, like Tigerwar has pointed out, that sometimes just the little things can derail your best efforts in this business.
I hope that my posts and Tigerwar`s replies have been of some help to others on here. Maybe we should put them into a pdf book and sell them!! I`ll await Tigerwar`s response to that!!

Just a little update and a couple of questions.
The site continues to hover around page 3. I was on page one (again) for a day and have dropped back to page two. But it's not the plugins fault and I'll explain why, tell me if I'm wrong (it did move me from page seven to one-briefly- overnight).
The site is a "fan site" for a particular musician.
His name and my sites name is shared by at least eight other people with a web presence and differing professions.
The post I have been making were about music and not him in particular. So when I posted stuff about him I moved up in ranking again (even beat out one of his two sites being the MySpace one), but a lot came be posted on him and the others and it pushes me back.
So I'm still satisfied with the plugin and will be using on new sites as I add them.

First question, (There's a lot said about duplicate content and I understand that DC on the same site is worst of all !)...
if say I post an article that I like and decide to make it a permanent part of the site by re-posting it, would re-posting the article make it unique from the first posting using the plugin ??
I 'figure' it would, just wanted some assurance.

And Tigerwar... you promote a spinner in your signature.
Would you like to expound on it a little bit ?

Thanks for coming back on that one, it's alway interresting to talk about progress.
Google dances with sites on a daily basis, moving them from 2-5 or 6- 2 positions(not pages) so if you go from 9-12 (page1-2), thats upsetting etc. but if your there and continue feeding you'll stay there and go up. GREAT for you, it means you are doing thing RIGHT!

If the uniquify function on two identical posts is swiched to on/off accordingly, then yes the SE would see them as 2 different posts as the content is identified at the source code of the individual posts only and not the final text, but......
I think putting DC on one site (even with WPU) is kind of like putting your finger in a fire to find out how long it takes to get burnt, but thats only an assumption, I have never tried it myself. Why do this on your main site, open a sub domain and try it there with autoblogging and WPU, if you get burnt it won't hurt!

To talk about the spinner here would involve too much side tracking from WPU and btw...that's the purpose the opt-in..LOL!

but it's ok, I'm promoting "The Best Spinner", in my eyes, really the best spinner ever produced due to the fact that it can be personalized to your own synonyms (in other words, spin an article without getting junk returned). You'll find some good information about it using the WF search.

I hope Steve Fullman comments on the first part.

The reason I mention this WSO is because it seems to me that this WSO (and the additional WSO mentioned in the original post) is perfect in combination with Steve's plugin. After a fast first read it seems this new plugin will supply a way to post PLR articles, which can be uniquified. A couple of my WP 3.0 blogs started giving 500 errors when I went to the home page, but not wp-admin. Disabling WPUnique got rid of the errors.

Well I found the thread again!
Just to recap.
After my last post on here, I felt that allwas well and that I could go back to my other projects. Wrong!
Just a few days after the post, my site went missing again!
Nothing changed, I did not add anything or take anything awayAs I mentioned in my other post on the other thread, I think that someone has been in touch with Google, maybe about their article being used.
Quick Recap for those who do not know what we are on about.
I have an number of wordpress blogs. They are all set up the same as regards plugins etc.
They all use slick autoposter + WPUnique, and they (nearly)all have articles on first page of Google SERPS. All except one!
As mentioned to Tigerwar, I have amended the keywords so they are not too spammish and tinkered with the all in one seo.
I have linked a couple of PR domains I have parked with a 301 redirect. I have a couple of decent links and the site shows as indexed on the "is my site indexed" site. I have verified it with Google and used their webmaster tools to sort out any problems with crawlers and robots.
There can only be one answer. A human intervention!
Unfortunately, I do not know whether it is possible to know whether the site is sandboxed or de-listed. It is only one mont old, but originally, like my other sites, it shot to first page in Google when the articles started to post. Then suddenly...bang! Gone! Whatever I post it is ignored.
I know that I am on Tigerwar`s very last nerve, but I need some inspiration and answers.

If you comply to this, there is no reason for anyone to complain, au contraire, that is the point of posting articles, the author gets the backlink, You are not demoting their site, you are gaining a position in google thanks to their article and they are gaining a backlink!

If you started out on the wrong foot, you may well have been sandboxed but I wouldn't go that far at the moment.

Are you using the same keywords on two sites and possibly duplicating a couple of articles within the same domain?

No. All the sites are in different niches. I forgot to mention that I have just added the Google sitemap so that should help.
Just a thought, but you checked the site, right?
Do you think that the theme might not be helping?
This is the only blog I use it on.

I am having a problem. When I use the cash to keyword link function, it does not highlight the words I selected. I logged out and logged back in again and still nothing. If I hover over the words I get the pointy finger so the link is working, it's just not highlighted. No one will know to click on the link if it is not highlighted. Any idea how to fix this?

Not that I know of personally, but as you can turn the cash keywords on or off, there are also other plugin that can do this with internal links. So my thought is basically that the conflict is "switch" related(as in on/off).

It would be simple to correct this in the stylesheet or style.css, but I honestly believe that's not neccessary

Hi, I'm finding that WP-Unique makes my sites very slow to load - I had to deactivate it. I've played around with the settings, e.g. standard vs. truly unique and auto-spin yes/no, but this does not seem to make any difference.

Please help? What else can I try?

Anyway, in the whole thread here, I can only find one post where help was required for the same subject, unfortunately that was version related.

the majority of problems reagrding loading times in wordpress, are related to two or more plugins that try to execute similar transactions at the same time, in most cases a minor configuration conflict or a cache problem.


Unfortunately(or fortunately) Steve is always working on the updates, endeavoring to provide us with the best produts and it appears that we'll have to have a little patience before he's able to accomodate certain questions. In the mean time let's try to solve your problem

what other plugins are you using and have you tried the WP Super Cache?

this worked wonders for the loading times in my wp

I have done a `site: ` check on the site, and the content is being placed at 200-600 in the pages!!
I guess I will have to wait for Steve to have a look, but it is really annoying me.

Hi Chis,

This definitely is no fault of WPunique but possibly a configuration conflict:


You are using slick autoposter which is fetching RSS feeds/articles, google is having problems finding them.
One the one hand they are being informed that they're on your site but when crawling they can't be found.

This sounds like a metatag "Dofollow" and "Nofollow" incident.

If your cash keywords are set to "Nofollow" in WPunique but the feeds are set to "Follow" in slick autoposter or vice versa, then google is being torn between two lovers(so to speak).

Check the settings in both, maybe we'll have some luck with this one

The Cash Keywords are set to "yes" do follow. However, there is no such choice within Slick Autoposter, unless you are talking about the Article link feature? That can be set to "Include a link to full article / source article" Yes/No. Is that what you mean?

Hi mariosocieto,

If your posts were already ranking well in google there is no need to unquify them. The uniquify option is specifically designed and pointed to e.g. PLR and/or collected articles from directories.

Please check your setting on the individual posts/Pages and set these accordingly.
If you have Wpuniquify set to "Global" then every Post will be uniquified unless individually set to off.

I am trying to establish what I am looking for on the source code page. I have looked at the pages for two different blogs and I can not see any difference?
I know that the WP Unique is set to "yes" i.e. do follow, but how can I check Slick autoposter? There is no configuration facility to do follow or no follow in Slick autoposter.

Just a quick update.
I have been checking into this whole issue about follow/nofollow debate, and I have found some pretty interesting stuff.
Firstly, you have my previous message which is self-explanatory.
however, I found a post from a SEO professional. Bot your usual `guru` type that you get on the forums, but a guy who has worked in SEO since the mid-1990s.
he reckons that All in one SEO can actually cause more problems than it solves! In fact he reckons that most of the SEO plugins are useless.
Most of the stuff in All i one can be done better within most themes these days, and things like the noindex features can actually mean that Google simply ignores posts. This seems to be what is happening with my blog!
I have therefore disabled it on the Online Review blog to see what happens. It certainly could not be any worse!
In the meantime I will await your reply and a reply from Steve, which is still not forthcoming.
