That is partially correct...depends on the theme and the capabities of other plugins.
Last but not least if a theme does everything that SEO-all-in-one does (I doubt it though) then there is obviously no point in using it.

This is what I have been saying the whole time...most wp problems are a result of: NOT conflicting plugins, RATHER their conflicting settings.

The original was good for windows but had to be enhanced in order for the new program to work. But now Windows is slower due to the extra weight it has to carry. The customer, as a result says...windows sucks! Similar is Wordpress with extra plugins

WPunique works exceptionally well with wordpress and other plugins.

SEO-all-in-one does not create problems, ONLY the settings made, cause conflicts dependent upon additional Plugins/Theme capabilities and SEO Options.

SEO-all-in-one plugin is nothing but a roadmap that helps the spiders reach their destination, with the exception and advantage(or disadvantage) that you can stipulate which route to take.

Similar to a roadmap that we use every day driving from A-B, if its incorrectly printed you'll be deviated.






The important thing is to know exactly what plugins are installed, what exactly can be tweaked and which options have been set:

1. which plugin was installed first,
2. what settings are possible
3. and what settings were made.
4. Now install the second plugin and
5. adjust the setting in this one accordingly etc...etc....

If one installs 2-3 plugins that are all trying to execute the same commands and possibly with clashing configurations, then:

1. conflicts are to be reckoned with, in most cases inevitable
2. XML Sitemaps may get messed up for Search Engines
3. The cache will look like a Rubbish Dump
4. Wordpress will become much Slower

99.999% of typical recurring problems can be avoided by following these steps and doing things systematically and methodically but 99% of people don't do this(including myself). We simply expect and want things to work,
this is the human nature.

For the technically adept- it's not a problem to shortlist the conflict if the above steps aren't followed but for the less experienced it can be a do or die situation.

It's always worth the while deactivating the plugins and then re-activating them.
First ONE plugin- note the plugin settings
then the second- compare the written settings of the first with the settings of the second and so on.

Sounds like hard work, but all in all probably 20 minutes work and you'll be able to shortlist the possible conflicts.

Well the plot thickens!!
Yesterday I decided to make radical changes to this site.
I changed the theme to the same one used by my most successful blog.
I literally made the settings identical and even to the point where I used the same rss feed, albeit a different category. The result?
The last three articles are not listed anywhere on Google!
All three were quite obscure and there were only 3 pages of results for each one. My site was not anywhere in those results.
It is as if the site does not exist.
The site has links, and it is indexed according to the Google tool. However, when I use tools like Compete, About etc the search results say things like `site not found`?
I am open to suggestions.

Hi Tigerwar,
Just a quick update.
I submitted a sitemap a few days ago, just before I decided to change the theme of the site.
I have just done another webmaster tools check and now it seesm that the sitemap has taken effect.
It has literally been detected and successfully recognized in the last hour by Google. Moreover, the robots.txt file seems to ha ve been missing or similar so they have downloaded a new file 30 minutes ago and it has successfully listed 80 urls which i read to mean pages/articles. It also mentioned that it had been successfully indexed.
In that case, I will wait a day before making any further comments, but it looks a bit more positive. I will let you know tomorrow.

Nice to here that your finaly making progress

In fact I checked your XML sitemap and ROBOTS.txt yesterday and with the exception of one site(listed above the 404) everything was o.k. It was probably an SEO conflicting configuration of the theme and SEO-al-in-one.

So without being in front of your computer and actually seeing what changes you have made over time, it's near to impossible to pinpoint the descrepancies from this side.

If the problem continues, I'd suggest opening a separate thread.
This is actually deviating somewhat from WPUnique and people probably won't want to go thru a lot of posts regarding non-related topics.

I'll certainly join the new thread, I'm sure others will too and find an answer for you

I take your point about going off topic, however, I thought that you may find this interesting. After having gone through everything to do with the site, as though starting again, I had contact with Google. Without directly saying as much, they made certain suggestions.
I finally arrived at the page where you are able to ask for a review of your site.
I made my case and clicked to forward the message to Google. This was the response:-

Reconsideration request for w3.onlinereview.biz August 4, 2010
We've received a request from a site owner to reconsider how we index the following site: w3onlinereview.biz
We'll review the site. If we find that it's no longer in violation of our Webmaster Guidelines, we'll reconsider our indexing of the site. Please allow several weeks for the reconsideration request. We do review all requests, but unfortunately we can't reply individually to each request.


This would suggest that the site is indeed being penalized. Moreover, I received a message suggesting that if I suspected another site spamming I "might want to make a complaint"!!


Well I do not know about you, but that tells me that someone has made a complaint about my site, citing spamming. and that would fit in with what has happened.


So, in relation to WP Unique, I would suggest caution on behalf of users, as to whose articles you `use`. I have read two recent IM products that actually suggest reporting competitor websites to Google in an attempt to derail their efforts!


There is so much competition now that people are resorting to more desperate measures to try and scramble over each other.

Hi Chris,

as I aready said above, by using wpunique you are NOT changing any content provided by article directories or rss feeds. If slick autoblog has the option to cut out the links that relate to the author or directory then this is where the problem lies. Sometimes you get away with it and sometimes you don't. This is the reason one should not use autoblogs on the main site(authority site).
If a sub-domain get branded, you open a new one and you r main blog is ok. I and Steve have mentioned this many times.

No one has had this problem to date because they follow the above rules of thumb.
Follow the guides we give you and you won't have problems or try your own splittesting and judge based on the results

Split test your results:
Open 3 sub-domains, use autoblog on one only, open another with only wp-unique and one with both...MAKE SURE that you don't delete the backlinks-----wait and see what happens.(probably 2 hours work, no more than that and WAIT, results take time)

You don't want your main blog full of backlinks to other affiliates, therefore use PLR articles or a source that is not affiliated if you don't want to write them yourself.

I have had another look at the autoposter and sure enough, the links were being stripped out!
I have reinstated the links and requested that Google has a review of the site.
I didnt notice this because the box is right at the bottom of the page and I missed it!

I'm deliberately not going to mention your domain name.

First: a quick site:[yourdomain.biz] search in Google returns 39 results.

This suggests to me you're not being penalized. After all, you're indexed.

Second: I searched for [yourdomain.biz] in Google, and you occupy the first 5 listings. Therefore, you're ranking.

Third: I searched for *two* random articles on your site, and found your site on page one for both..admittedly, I was searching on the name of your articles...

...but that's because I don't know which keywords you're targeting.

If you're targeting the keywords in your domain name...then you'll need to figure out how to beat the other 804,000,000 sites.

If you have specific keywords in mind...concentrate on those!

And lastly, I'd like to -- once again -- extend my sincere gratitude to tigerwar for his time, effort , valuable insight, and energy. You rock, my friend.

There are no standards..it depends upon what you want...

if you have your own unique content then why uniquify it? there's no need to.

a suggestion:
if you are collecting articles from either directories or PLR products and want to uniquify these as a standard, then set ✔ Uniquify All Posts

You can over-ride these settings on a per-post basis, so on every PAGE and POST you are able to turn the uniquify setting to on or off.
Its that simple.
The thing that makes Steve's WPunique Plugin So Unique, is that it doesn't change the content, it only changes the source code that the search engines read and that is what makes your articles become completely unique.

You can also spin your articles if you want, I personally don't but that is up to you.
If I do decide to spin an article, then I use a different plugin which translates the content into a different language and then back to english.
If I see that the content is still to similar to others in google listings, I uniquify it and in 99,999% I hit the top.

Uniquifying does not mean that you will necessarily get to no.1, that is and always will be dependent upon your Niche,keywords and competition but if the competitions duplicate PLR or collected content is close to your site, the chances are extremely high that you will top them and rank high within that niche and keywords.

Basically I tend to use the following...
✔ Uniquify All Posts (I set some posts to off to avoid "Possible" footprints)
Uniquify All Comments
Auto-Spin All Content
✔ Keywords to Cash Links
Make Cash Links DoFollow, and
✔ Open Cash Links in New Window

If you are collecting articles with an autoblog, you shouldn't do more than approx 5-10 per week because this doesn't look like a natural Human standard in the eyes of the search engines, hence it's relatively easy (even with 100 blogs) to change some of the individual posts to on or off.

Hope that gives you a rough idea of what it's about

I do, of course, occasionally spin the text.

And, I *always* use Standard uniquify mode. I have no need to "pass Copyscape".

Steven and Tigerwar, thank you for showing the settings you use. Good timing I am just trying to understand why I am not getting the results I am looking for.

My questions:
1. What about the dictionary.txt file? Should it be edited in every blog to avoid possible footprints? Or can ir be left as it is after installation?

2. How important is to put all keywords in the protected keywods file? Do you include only main keywords here (e.g. "propane gill") or also long tail kws (e.g. "propane gill", "tailgate propane gill", "travel propane gill", "roadtrip propane gill", "red propane gill", "blue propane gill" etc)?

My settings:
✔ Uniquify Mode: Standard (in some cases Truly Unique)

An average article has approx 400-700 words and the chances of collecting 2 articles that are so similar and hence using the same words from the dictionary are probably something like 0.000000001%. So footprint...No!

I have 10 dictionary.txt files which I spun(took about 2 minutes for all) and use them ad-lib. Is it necessary?..I don't believe so, does a Motorbike driver need a helmet?..No....but he might feel safer and in a case of a crash he's on the safer side!

The Protected Keywords is a cool plugin. The problem (if can call it that), is that without actually looking to see if the words are in the other .txt files, you'll never know if they get spun or not, so if a Human is supposed to be reading the article and the keywords are relevant to ranking or cash keywords, then it's always better to enter the complete phrase when using longtail keywords in order to guaranty their protection.
That isn't a problem though, when I find a Niche, I copy all relating keywords to an excel file(whether they are actually part of the content or not). I then simply copy and paste these to the protected keyword.txt file and forget it. A good, easy tool for finding longtail keywords is Traffic Travis , simply copy and paste the results et voila...

But I will tell you how I use WPUnique.

1) Dictionary.txt -- I totally leave it alone. I purposefully only used the stop words here.

If you read that list, there's your new edited version. It's certainly grown since I last saw it...

2) ProtectedKeywords -- I always simply add all the keywords I want to protect...in your case "propane grill" seems to be the main one...in which case, I would lay my file out as follows:

propane grill
tailgate propane grill
travel propane grill
roadtrip propane grill
red propane grill
blue propane grill

etc.

It only takes a second.

Please ignore my remarks above about the Dictionary.txt file!!!

I sent a PM to Steve Yesterday regarding changing the Dictionary.txt and he made it very clear to me, that it would NOT be advisable to substitute(or spin) the provided file as I suggested, but one can add words to the file that were not in the "stop-words" list(dictionary.txt) at the time when WPunique was last updated.
These words are the "stop-words" and ignored by google. So by changing the Dictionary words it's like asking google to ignore your choice of words and the content would have no real coherently strung sentences...which certainly isn't the point..right!.

Sorry for misleading you.

If you are using the spinner in WPunique, then you can spin the synonym_core.txt file to suit your purposes(I do have about 50 of these) and use them ad-lib.

I just picked this up and have some practical user questions.

@Steven, I also sent you a PM about this, but maybe it's helpful to others too.

When looking in Google for content I have to search for: "keyword phrases" republish ? Or are there better combinations?

The results on the first page that come up are mostly article directories, but which part do I copy?

Do I have to copy everything including the resource box and leave the links intact? If I have to leave the resourcebox in the content, should this be spinned or uniquefied or left untouched?

On occasions there are links in the text, some are URL's other links are hyperlinked keywords. Those will go away after putting the content in a wordpad, but what about the URL's?

And what about the title? In the opening post of the thread there is talk about breaking TOS when changing titles, so should I leave the title intact as it is?

And what is this better method, a much better foolproof way? (It's also in the opening post) I watched the short video below these lines, but what is this method? Because the title in the video is still changed and not changed back to the original title of the article, I am confused what is meant here.

This thought just occurred to me as I was reading your post. What about using whatever unique title you want for your page and then post the author's complete article unedited so that their "title" would appear on your page as more of a sub-heading which would seem to keep everyone happy. I have used this before and it does not seem to present any problems.

@ Tigerwar. Are you using the Auto Bloggin Software of Carty without problems in conjunction with WP Unique? It seems a double layer, but since the ABS already translates the content 2 times it seems overkill to me. Especially when Auto-Spin of WP Unique is on, I want it to be readable for both visitors and SE's and with the translation in ABS there can already be some small gramma errors.

And won't uniquefy give problems for my Adsense ads in terms of readability and for Google to figure out where my content is about?

The problem is that there are millions looking for the same things and millions of ways to search for such articles. If everyone used the same search methods, they'd all have the same content.
You really have to use a bit of imagination here, even if it takes a week of monotonous reseach to find sources, it's worth while doing.

You can import articles per RSS feed or do it manually or using an Autoblog program.
Any included links/resource boxes have to stay in tact if so stipulated in the article source TOS.
This is why PLR products are usefull, they don't have links other than the one you want to enter.

Either you use the complete article without changing it or you copy the article and rewrite it to about 50%. This will then be a unique article and yours to do what you want with.


"Uniquifying" changes ONLY the HTML SOuRCE CODE in the eyes of the search engines and NOT the content that the viewers see.

But it also has a spinner.

I would suggest that you do some research on autoblogging, this would help you enormously and you'd understand exactly how POWERFULL WPuniique is.
WPunique does not grab articles for you, for that you need an autoblogging Software. With such software you can download 100's of articles from different sources and then put WPunique to it's tasks.

ABS is mainly used for Sub-domains, you can have 100's of them. I believe you don't fully understand the principles and capabilities of Autoblogging (no offense mean't)- in short, you open a main Domain with your content, then open as many sub-domains(all relating to the main domain niche, but with long tail keywords) as you want under that main domain(10 or 100-1000) and for these, use the autoblogging software for grabbing articles(it doesn't matter if other affiliate links are in the articles) On these autoblogs you enter your google ads, CPA, Clickbank, Amazon..etc..etc and simply let them run and forget them.
It's all trial and error, no-one can give us the "Golden KEY" to riches, otherwise we'd all be millionaires. Try autoblogging with only wpunique, the next sub-domain with the translator and another with both for example.

The nice thing is that it's 90% automated, this allows you to experiment with different methods/strategies to get that "key"....if you had to do this manually, you'd have grey hair after a week

There many different ways of autoblogging, this was just an example.

Yes and No you can also use ABS and WPunique on the main blog, but if you want humans to read it, you'll probably have to do some fine tuning on the articles when using the when spinning them.
Steve has designed his software so brilliantly that Search engines love it(it's simply not breaking any rules!), but lets say in the year 3096, the SE's do detect a footprint, then it's wouldn't be so good if your Main(Authority site got branded). Sub-domains can simply be re-opened!

I'm using wpu without any problems, it catapulted some of my sites straight to the top (they were doing well but now it'S great)and I'm sure if the other thousand or so people had any problems, then they would have said something here, which definitely isn't the case.

Without knowing the details about how your freind's blog is constructed, it's hard to say why it's not working for him.
Maybe he's using a lot of his own content and of course, there's no need to uniquify that. That would mean that his own keyword strategy, content
backlinking, activity or SEO needs to be refined.
If he is using other's content, then maybe from "unimportant" sources or possible, irrelevant keywords. So he maybe toping relating sites below him but not the "important" sites within that niche.

Obviously, these are all "ifs and buts", but one really has to dig deeper to find the roots of the problem.

One thing is for sure, if you understand the methods used in wpunique it's pretty easy to find the "right" content to uniquify!

If I "uniquify" a unique content article (a rewritten unique content article), would I need to put the keywords I'm targeting to get ranked for in the "Protected Keywords" file for it to be seen by Google? or else the keywords would be completely overlooked by Google since the source code is changed from html to ascii?

Having too many of these characters in the webpage may eventually be what google uses to reduce your rankings?

Uniquifying in terms of WPunique doesn't mean changing the content (only the html code that the search engines read) so there is no need to protect "uniquified" keywords.......

Keywords should be protected when "Spinning the Content". If you spin the content(and possibly the keywords) with other synonyms, then every word or phrase that you protect will not be substituted.
