Sorry to be a bore, but I just had to post this excerpt from Matt Cutts blog regarding the my post above. This is from one of the `concerned` bloggers who slavishly follow the Google blog:-

"Since this new algo was initiated, our 10+ year old original content site traffic has dropped like a rock. In the mean time, scraper sites in my niche prosper rise to #1. A copycat site is also rising in the ranks. Although our listing still seem to be there, traffic and converting sales have plummeted to nearly zero. That’s a first in our sites history. Is it possible this algo is finding and penalizing false positives?"

Ha ha, Looks like this could backfire big time on Big G!!
As I said, I can not wait to hear from Steve on this, but I have a feeling that those of us with WP Unique just got a whole lot stronger in the rankings!!

To answer your question, I can give you a definite "maybe".

Sometimes they outrank the original article and sometimes they don't even show up on the first page. I wish I could figure out why, but the fact that they show up at all in the face of dozens (sometimes several dozens) of competitors makes me happy.

My best performing autoblog uses only an autoposting plugin and WP Unique and it brought in revenue in January which was 28.8% higher than December which was, in turn, 24.2% higher than November. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

I'll admit that February has started out a little rocky but it ain't over 'till it's over. There have been a lot of storms across North America in the last week so maybe people have better things to do than sit in front of their computers.

I keep getting errors on all my sites when using WPUnique - they all say something like:

The actual line no changes see below

Can you please help as this is having a detrimental effect on my google rankings due to load times

I think it is something to do with the dictionary file. But I am not a coder, if it was happening with one site then I would think it was just that but here is another

i used the keywords to cash function and turned several of the keywords in my posts into links. I now want to remove the links to those keywords. I tried just deleting the keyword,url in the keyword2url.txt but the links still remain. How do i remove links i do not want?

this happens when using something like wp Super cache or othe Cache plugins.

Just go to the plugin and press delete cache, that should fix it

Just another quick update.
I have now put WP Unique on all of my other WP blogs along with WP Robot plus all the other usual plugins I mentioned in anearlier post.
In EVERY case, the articles, video posts and even images/pictures are showing in the first 10 SERPs.
Testimony if any were ever needed that this plugin does what it says on the tin!

No...That is part of the title and means that the "original Author of the Content" will be relegated in the rankings when you republish his/her content together with WPUnique, or in other words; if you use someone elses content, you will move up the rankings and they will move down.

here is a question for both you and Steve.
I have had a report back from my SEO company telling me that some of my sites are not complying with the W3 html syntax and are therefore not validated.
Whilst I am not completely sure just how much this would affect rankings etc long term, it does seem beneficial that WP blogs comply with this protocol.
The errors mostly seem to surround the `&` which is used by WP Unique as part of its `uniquifying` process in html. The problem is that the W3 protocol expects the & to have `amp`immediately after it otherwise it interprets it as something entirely different to what it is expecting.
I`m sorry if this all sounds like `double dutch` to some reading this, but whilst it does not seem to impair the view of the website in a browser, it may be penalised by Google to some degree because of its difficulty in readability for the Google spiders.
If anyone has a view on this I would appreciate hearing about it.

Hey Chris,

W3C isn't really anything to worry about. It does make alot of difference though(as far as readability and legibility is concerned) if you are writing websites in different langauages for different countries

It has always been disputed whether W3C affects your website to the extent of harming your ranking or not. Any SEO business will say it does in the hope of you dispairing and buying their services.

It "might" have a minimal effect on SEO. On a scale from 1-20, (20 being important) it might scale at 1.

Basically W3 is telling you(in this context) that spiders prefer html entity rather than having to interpret certain ascII text. It has nothing to do with WPunique, in fact spiders love wpunique because the purpose of it is to provide spiders with html entity code

The "&" unit appears on millions of links for example, whilst writing this post, the browser address bar looks like this:

http://www.warriorforum.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=

the correct html source code should look like this: newreply&p=

and not simply as the one above. It is called an "Ampersand"

You'll find this so called "error" on just about every site, especially wordpress and almost all CPA links.

I have seen 100s of terrible looking sites that failed the W3C test due to incorrect html coding positioned at no.1 on google
so I stopped taking notice of it and it didn't have any negative effect whatsoever on any of my websites.

PROOF: go to any no.1 site on google, copy the URL and enter it at this address: http://validator.w3.org/
99% probably have errors!..ha...including SEO businesses

There is a REwrite rule for the .htaccess file that can be used but be careful when playing with that, always back up the original as you can screw your whole domain up doing this incorrectly.

even the warriorforum.com has 37 errors and you can see how they're struggling to rank

I would't lose any sleep about it.

2. Should it be used on large authority sites or is this more for small nice sites/autoblogs that you don't mind if they were penalized by google?
3. What about the risk of getting in trouble with webmasters over copied content? Does it happen? Are we restricted to just copying content from free blog sites at wordpress.com rather than big authority sites?

1. No, as the plugin changes certain words that are found in the english dictionary, so it wouldn't do what it was intended to do and might even change/ignore words that you need to be read by the search engines. The sysnonyms are also English based.

2. Some people use it extremely successfully on authority sites, but Steve did intend it for secondary niche blogs, it is really up to you. Unfortunately no one can look backstage at google so the future is, as with ANY "automation script", never predictable.

No matter what kind of autoblogging tools, amazon plugins, content grabbers or whatever one decides to use, they will always be used with a pinch of precaution. They might all be good for the next 20 years..who knows what google plans fot the future!

3.If you leave the baclinks in the articles, that is absolutely fine and actually welcomed.
If not, make them about 30%-50% unique or add intros/middle and end paragraphs to the content, doing the latter won't be copyscape proof but it's ok for the search engines.

I just needed confirmation about this. I have spoken to the SEO people that I use and they have confirmed what you say about these conventions.
It seems that some of the new SEO companies popping up all over the place are using anything they can to try to worry people into making a sale!
I have checked some of my other sites and they are all on page 1 using WP Unique, but they all have some W£ errors on the page.

I have just bought your plugin and install it without problem. Now i need your help please because I believe I am doing something wrong.

Once activated I set the "uniquify mode" to Truly unique mode and then click on Force global settings. 15 minutes later I look back at my page source to see if it looks like your example but it does not. I must say I am using a automatic software to post for me so could it be the problem ?

Just a quick update on how I am doing with the WP Unique update on ALL of my autoblogs.
I'm not sure if you caught this BIG
announcement yesterday (February 24th).
In Google's own words...
"in the last day or so we launched a pretty big algorithmic improvement to our ranking -- a change that noticeably impacts 11.8% of our queries"
Here's a few more comments from big G:
"This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites -- sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful"
If ever there was a time to get WP Unique, it is now, because if you are running autoblogs of any description they will be penalized unless you can show your content as unique, and the only way you can do that is write it yourself, or use the WP Unique plugin.
If you do not believe me, let me just reiterate that I have been on this thread from its early days. That is because I used the WP Unique plugin on a couple of my new websites. At first I had problems, and now I know it was to do with the Google `sandbox` effect. Basically, they have admitted that they put new sites in the supplementary index (sandbox) for a couple of months until they are certain that you are staying around for a while. Of course we also now know that it helps if your domain is registered for longer than 12 months!
Eventually my sites emerged and went straight to page #1 of Google for the articles posted using WP Unique.
I then put it on ALL of my sites. They all have articles posted and at #1 or on page #1 in every case.
I have checked my Google stats this morning and every website has increased traffic, in some cases by 100s of %!
They all use WP Robot AND WP Unique, so it proves that Googles new algorithm is GOOD NEWS for users of WP Unique. Now we have even less competition because all those crappy Adsense sites and those relying simply on a generic domain name are plummeting down the rankings.
For example, I have a new site, albeit on a PR3 aged domain, that I was struggling to get going. Today I have seen the steady rise in unique visitors since the algorithm change go steadily up as my sites articles reach the very top of Google.
My projected unique visitors for this one site alone is now 1000+ for March and I am starting to see Adsense earnings go up from the pennies a day for the odd click to a projected £100 ($150) in March.
Multiply that by the 20 sites I have a that are all increasing using WP Unique, that really is liveable earnings, for me anyway.
If you get your backlinks sorted out as well, your sites will increase dramatically.
There can be no doubts now about the fantastic opportunity WP Unique offers autobloggers so get it now.

Hi all

I've been following this thread and came across it during my research on WPUnique.

I am new and trying to get some extra cash with internet marketing.
I have setup an autoblog and am thinking to put WPUnique plugin soon.

However, I am having issues with google indexing my site. I have submittied my site a few weeks ago but only yesterdyay I noticed that google indexed only 32 links in webmaster. I have a sitemap and when I look up site:mysite google returns a few links.

I post around 20 articles a day and so far I have around 390.

I am not having any visitors so far and I would appricate if you could help me get figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I had auto ping and auto social submitter .

How can I improve traffic?
How often do you update the google sitemap?

It would be nice if I can get to a stage and make some decent money through adsense.

I would like to thank you in advance for any suggestions

I would strongly suggest you open a thread up regarding this as there are many many answers to take into consideration and they would simply blast this threads capabilties.

Once those questions have been answered we could help you with WPunique but a prerequisite of successful internet marketing is a fundemental knowlegde of "keyword, Niche and SEO research"

Wpunique will certainly help you get good results but you should initially understand the basics of the above mentioned.

It's always better to have the reseller license when flipping domains.

The buyer won't have to do any additional work once the transaction is completed and you can obviously use that to your advantage $$ when looking for quick sales. Of course you should emphasize the power of wpunique and how it can drives sales through the roof by beating the competition(even better, the analytical proof)

Think of it as a car with the motor delivered seperatley, which one would you purchase the DIY or The ready to Drive? most people want the latter as they don't have the full understanding nor the time to invest.

Plus the buyer might want the developers license at a later stage and you would automatically get the backend commision on upgrading to dev.

So how does the developer license work? The way I understand it is each wpunique plugin has a unique dictionary file or something. Would that dictionary file change for every person I sold the plugin to? What keeps them from putting the plugin on their other sites? Why would they want to purchase a new license or developers license if they can just use the plugin from the site I sold them on all their sites?

That is one that I can't answer 100% because....yes, everyone that downloads the program after purchasing receives an individual synonyms.txt file but when you pass the plugin on to someone else, I imagine he/she would keep the same as you had but this won't affect anything like dupe content because the chance of anyone using identical articles and wpunique is next to none. As you sold the domain you wouldn't be using the same articles anyway, makes sense or not?

They might at sometime also want to flip domains, hence they would have to upgrade to a dev. lic.

I googled for this error and saw that a WHOLE BUNCH of sites are getting the same error.

I reinstalled WPUnique and now it's running again. I can not say WHAT triggered the error, or how to replicate it.

You should look for this error and offer a quick solution to your customers.

You know what's sweet about this plugin? It's got a keyword-to-cash link feature that I think you will find invaluable in turning your content farms or mfa sites to legit niche sites. And the uniquifying that wpunique does simply offers up unique content, which is what Big G wants, anyway, right?

Just my .02 from my experience with this plugin. My sites have not suffered.

After installing your plugin, I configured the setting to uniquefy all post and I also activated the truly unique mode...but after viewing page source code it doesn't work....and i used copyescape but all my post is showing 404 error on copyescape....hope you get back with me soon....

Hi Chris,
What kind of problems have you had with the keyword-to-cash feature? I haven't had any problems yet, and would like to know what you experienced, if you don't mind.

As we are now going to have to retrofit our mfa-type sites to actual quality sites (i.e., filled with great content), it's going to be necessary to strengthen some of our other SEO "tricks" - and internal linking is going to play a huge role in that.

The keyword to cash feature of wpunique means that you can set a keyword to become a link--an anchor link, at that--for any keyword you choose, and you can have it link to an internal page (as well as outside affiliate links, too!). Instead of having to set up each and every instance of a word throughout your entire site, wpunique will do it for you.

The file to edit is wpunique/keyword2url.txt (Go into plugins -->Editor -->keyword2url.txt) There you will see Steven has already placed a link to use as an example: Steven Fullman,h t t p://www.wpunique.com. Of course, if you were to write Steven Fullman somewhere in your blog, it would turn into a link leading to wpunique--that's how this works.

You can delete that line or not, because if you never type out Steven Fullman in your blog, the link won't appear anywhere.

Anyway, take a keyword you would like to use, and type it into this file, followed by a comma, followed by the link to which you would like the keyword attached. Anytime (and every time in any number of posts, etc.) you type this keyword, rest assured, it will automatically become a link for you.

Big G wants to see internal linking, so this feature is an excellent aid for that job. But it can also, obviously, be used to link to affiliate offers, outside sites, etc. Whatever you need!

P.S., yeah, I have to admit, the spinner never did impress me, but then, I have never found ANY spinner I ever liked. I will say, however, that the ability to edit the spinner's list of words is supposed to make the spinner work better, but I never got around to trying that.
