latinwarrior, You can edit the strings in the HTML files, it'll be easy.

Check out an example of a Prismotube site that is in Slavic: http://www.tube.vsetkyvidea.sk/ <- this is the 26th largest site in a country (Slovakia)

By the way between 2 of their Prismotube sites, VsetkyVidea.sk - Home has more than 8000 online visitors RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT !
People will be happy to have that in a month, but this site is doing more than that in their current online visitors. Imagine how many visitors they have in one month! Their adsense revenue should be in the 3-4 figures/mth.

B. It does not bother me to still have your powered by link at the bottom of the page but is there any way to change this to an affiliate link back to your site ?

Anyway the differences:
1. Support. Other scripts offer community support. On Prismotube, you can access to the developers for official support. Your questions get answered to the point with no misinformation and quicker

2. SEO
Prismotube has lots of SEO optimizations behind the scene to list. You will draw more traffic. I don't know of any video script site that pulls the kind of mad traffic that Prismotube customers and I are pulling.

3. Ads
We have backend to add advertisements, and we did optimizations for Google Adsense too.

4. Prismotube also retrieves video comments for the video page so your site will not look deserted.

Todd, that is the beauty of Prismotube. Most other scripts stream videos from your server. You pay for the bandwidth which can add up to hundreds of dollars once you go over the quota. Prismotube streams it from Youtube, you never have to worry about bandwidth bill. Hostgator is our hosting partner, we refer Prismotube customers to them all the time.
So bandwidth should be the last thing you think about.

Kotak, I'm not sure if I get you right as it is a rather unusual question but I'll try to answer it.
My visitors come in to my Prismotube site through Google, I try to get as many of them as possible on my site.
You can technically limit the number of visitors per day using advanced PHP functions but why would anyone want to do that?

Sent a tech support request in - I am having a couple of issues - fixed the categories issue, but still getting 404s on links - there really needs to be some documentation on this script as it is pretty much non-existent!

That being said - once we get the kinks ironed out - I think this will be one of the best buys of the year!! This is one slick little tool!!

Well, it's now the next day - almost 12 hours, and no response. I would really like to get this fixed ASAP - the front page looks great - but nothing is working beyond the front page. I am sure that it is minor - but we need to get it fixed!

BTW - other than this glitch - which is probably a permissions issue somewhere - the actual install and set-up was under 10 minutes. Once I get this kink ironed out and know how to avoid it the next time - you could do dozens of these in a day!

Sorry I was away for the weekend so didn't have the chance to check my email.
I made it a point to try to have a mini get-away in the weekend once every 2 weeks.

Anyway Melody, your problem is the .htaccess which was either not uploaded originally or had it's content deleted. I logged in and fixed it, quick 3 minutes fix for me.

Kotak, the most viewed & top rated thing is going to be available in the next version
Sorry for the delay in installation, I am away during the weekend sometimes.
If it were placed on a Monday, the installation would've been completed on the same day most probably. I apologize anyway.

Yep, knew there was something wrong with the .htaccess - and still have no idea WHY it happened (gremlins again!) but it's fixed and I LOVE THIS SCRIPT!

The next site went up in about 5 minutes - and you have a site that is gorgeous with great content. We are using them in subdomains with a WP blog on the front end of the site.

Obviously, don't have enough time with it yet to know how they will rank - but for added content for site visitors, it doesn't get much better or easier than this!

I give this 5 stars!!

Oliver, 'url-to-prismotube-script.com' is a placeholder.
You are supposed to change it to your domain, as stated on the install page.
Just change it to your domain and you will be fine.

I kinda like the look of this but I query why Google will give anybody hosting
these a better position in the SERPS than Youtube itself for the same video(s) ?

Can this be installed into a sub directory as well, rather than the root, I could
see it being a cool "addon" to a few of my sites.

In other words can I slap it fully functioning into say www.mydomain.com/videos ?

I did some searching around and found a few forums with members complaining
this script had Google removing their sites from the index predominantly due
to a custom player which had removed youtube's branding from the videos,
has this been resolved now?

I took a look at the babe museum site, and the home page does appear to be
using some kind of custom player which removes Youtubes branding and
any advertising of there's , as you're pulling this content from them,
I can't imagine they are ecstatic about that.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I wouldn't worry about it.
But either way, Prismotube customers are getting traffic from Google, that is the bottom line. I apologize if I do come across as pompous but that wasn't intended, I was just trying to get my point across.
Maybe Google gives you 2% of the search on a competitive keyword and the rest to Youtube, you are still gaining something.
I hope you can follow my line of reasoning.
Yes you can. It can be what is known as "feeder sites".
In fact, I am about to turn babesmuseum into a feeder site for Prismotube.
You can even turn your prismotube site into an email capture machine!
I have seen those threads. The thing is, that remains nothing but a hypothesis.
Some kinda of correlation doesn't imply causation.
I've seen many sites using the custom player getting lots of traffic and had no problem with Google.
Maybe something else they did on the site that is getting them banned.
But if you want to be absolutely on the safe side, you can enable the Google player instead of the custom player.
It is the Youtube player, not some custom player thats modified to look like the Youtube player.

Yes, both are fine.
We didn't hack the Youtube player. They just didn't show the ads, that is it.
We don't pry into Google's business and question them why they are not showing ads on the site. It's their video player, if they don't want to show ads on it, that's fine by me.
