Do you use anchor texts that contain our variations of our url and generic words such as click here or visit this site? Or do we have to do this ourself by manually typing in these different anchor texts into the appropriate boxes in our account?

Hi Marc. Read an interesting article today on link diversity and the Penguin update. They claim that those sites which have less than 50% "money" keyword anchor text were unaffected by the latest update. Curious if this agrees with what you are seeing. Here is the link:

I would use only unique content on your site. Most likely your sites need to reach equilibrium with their backlink anchor text. Up to around 50% of your backlinks should be your desired keyword's (or its variations) anchor text. The others should be stuff like

Just think about when you're reading an article that has links in it. Use those types of anchor text.
The 50% is locked in for all months you stay active. You can change the domain at will. However don't delete your existing project just edit the old one. If you delete it you won't be able to add a new one. (something we are working on changing)
You'll have to do this yourself at this point. This is something I want to include in a future update.
Pretty much agree with this from what I'm seeing too. Although it isn't clear how they determined relevancy.
If you are in the new system then simply delete your projects then the links will stop. If you're not then post in your ticket.
1. You don't "have" to but I would. Just giving Google more information than they would otherwise should be a good enough reason. It's up to you.
2. There is no way to give a meaningful answer to this question since all keywords are different.
3. You can do as many projects as you need.

What is normal turn around time to get a campaign started.

I purchased it last week, set it up that day, was told it would start Sunday.

It shows under submission history with names of people to Google to see the links but so far, nothing.

I know it is only Tuesday so a couple days should be expected. I was just wondering when it is normal to start to see the links?

#1) This service rocks, it works. Been a long term yet small time purchaser. I use this on my own sites.

#2) The customer service I have received is excellent, very courteous.

For this newest service, I would recommend a support ticket link within the admin panel.

Thanks for the reply. I had posted a ticket the other day on the place in the OP to post tickets. I just got a reply that told me to submit at ticket in the other place. lol

At any rate, I was up in the middle of the night and one site had gotten 5 links.

I just checked again and 3 sites have now gotten links; one has 5, the other ones have 6 each.

So, it has started. I will now post another ticket in the other system and ask about when it will be 100 a day.

OK, for my new project, the sites will have 100% unique, well written content, and 12 of the 25 links your campaigns allow are currently set to general calls to action like 'click here' or my URL.

Sorry to keep hassling you guys for feeedback, but I'm really stressed out about all this, my main earning site, which has about 5 of your regular campaigns, a variety link campaign and a social links campaign affecting it has got the dreaded:

'Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links' message. About 2 weeks later it took major ranking hit, and now it's flipping from terrible ranking to out of the ranking and getting no traffic.

Does anyone recommend a particular service or guide to removing these 'bad links'? I've been so cautious about linking that I've only used Matt's links for months, but my link diversity has been awful, and I did use some poorer quality links for it about 6 months ago and earlier.

It would take ages to balance out that poor link diversity now, and get less than 50% (or 60% as I also read), 'buying keyword' links, so I wonder if I should even bother, or just cut my losses and try and move on?

This is Thursday, my campaigns started Sunday but I don't think much happened until Tuesday night.

As of right now, the backlinks show numbers of 16, 8 and 18. Not exactly 100 a day but maybe the first week there is a lag time.

Will keep you posted.

Also will post when get any major ranking improvement.

These are all low competition keywords, too, so should be pretty easy to rank for.

I had realy high expectations of this service - I paid money for 3 months, completed a ticket with the URL and keywords. Got two emails, one a receipt and the other about how to copmplete the campaign which I tried to click on and the link has expired.

It won't be 100 a day of indexed links. We average out to around 100 a day but lots can happen between submission and indexation that is beyond our control.
This is a question you need to answer for yourself. If you were making good money on your site I'd definitely give it some more time before moving on. But this is my opinion. If you could open a ticket I can look at your site more closely to see if I can give you any recommendations.
With this drip feed daily service you can change your urls and keywords once a week.
We don't do affiliates for the drip feed service at this time.

A ticket is always preferred.
We did have an issue with one of our submission servers so your links may have been affected. These numbers are too low for this stage of the week. After penguin you need more than just backlinks, you need to make sure you have a good amount of "non anchor texted" links. If you have only money anchors then most likely penguin is not going to allow your site to rank well.

Mix in domain.com, www.domain.com/page, click here, read this, here etc etc. You need around 50% of these or it is going to make your life much more difficult as far as Google rankings are concerned.

My personal counsel to all here is to make sure you have a thorough understanding of how SEO works and how it does not work BEFORE using this or any other service, otherwise you are totally in the dark about results and the causes of them. It seems that from reading through the post that many do not. If that is the path you choose then fine, but just understand that you can be taken advantage of very easily.

This is said only in a general way and not intended to imply that Matt's service is not legit, as I know for sure that it is. Being educated in this field is a time-consuming process and takes a lot of research and field testing of which I know Matt and his team do tons of on our behalf.

One thing of note regarding ongoing changes with Google. It is clear now more than ever that their focus will continue to be one of smacking down sites that appear to be "over-seo'd", use spun content, leave large footprints, have poor quality content and redundant links in too many places, Etc. This was not at "one time" Algo change but the first of many that will refine their approach to this so if anything SEO will become even more challenging.

I would recommend that Matt and team forecast this and implement even more conservative strategies NOW before it happens versus be just reactionary and too late in many case and end up with an "oops" scenario for many customers. In other words we now know this new reality is not only here but that it will become more intense in the near and long-term future so prepare now or face the consequences from lack of preparation. Success favors both the prepared mind and life.

The thing with Google is that they give you the tools as in the KWT which they want you to use, and then when you use it and use THEIR keywords as part of your anchor text........the then slap you down when you use it! LOL I mean is this not the ultimate "give me a break" scenario!

Personally, I do not believe (in most cases) that there is a correlation between using THEIR keywords and poor content. I mean do they even read the content.....in case you do not know, the answer is NO they do not. They use use their bots to make assumptions created in their Algo........if the page/site has "this" then "this" must be true when in many if not most of the cases it is not. Don't they get it that people are trying hard to get their sites to the top of the SERPS? If one person does not know how to do that well and the next guy does, then he or she should be rewarded with higher SERP results..........that is how life should work, right?!

Of course we all know or should know that Google's end game is to push as many (new) people to use PPC and forget about the all to hard to do SEO.........and to that end if the cost to do effective SEO gets to a high enough point one might as well do just that! At least you can guarantee positioning.

I've also heard that Google is strongly considering rotating their first page results to give more people a shot of getting to page one. If and when that happens then organic SEO may truly be dead.

P.S. -In light of all the recent and very negative affect Penguin has and is having on so many sites, it makes one nearly hesitant to do anything at all as Matt himself has said the change is on-going an no one including him really knows (100%) exactly what to do, or what might have a negative affect. I have noticed that in all cases where a site's ranking has slipped Matt has not one time acknowledged that his process could be part of the problem but has always deflected to something else. This may be a natural reaction of self-protection but I don't think we should buy this as of course this program "could" be part of the cause which he basically acknowledges when he says he does not know the reason, meaning it could be anything including this. Since this has now become more of an experiment, I would rather experiment on a site that is non-critical to see what happens rather risk a money site, at least for the moment. That or just use PPC for the moment until the dust clears. It is understood that Matt can only proceed based on what he believes will work so best efforts are being made I'm sure, but things remain in a highly experimental stage and we are the subjects of that experiment. I would also believe that Google is smart enough to know that is appears to be "unnatural" for a website to get lots articles being written about it and linking to it, so that in itself look suspicious as it is not realistic to really expect that, and therefore it must be manufactured, which in fact it is....there is no denying this and why we are here, to have content manufactured for us....ummm, one might assume that Google is reading this post even as I type! It is nearly impossible to hide this from them let's be honest about that please. Though others will disagree, the days of "safe" organic SEO are coming to an end.....it is only a matter of time, that is all. Yes a scary thought I realize and not one we want to admit to....but the trend is quite clear and obvious IF we are being really honest about it. And if you think PPC cost is too high to use.......we ain't seen nothing yet!

The one thing we know through all this so far is that if a site is over-optimized for a certain keyword and all the backlinks are for that same keyword then that site is tanked until it is corrected.

That's why we recommend our clients use at least 25 keywords in their ranking schemes. The page one service we actually add an additional 50-100 keywords to the anchor texts we send out.

But we have grabbed almost 100 page one rankings for our clients since the Penguin update. If our links were the problem then there is no way that could happen.

Most of the sites I see sent to me that have tanked are over optimized to the max. Google just isn't having that anymore.

So now we're advising that webmasters create content for their readers that expands their brands instead of writing for the crawlers. That means taking the keywords out of the headline tags, meta tags, alt text for images, all in one seo, you name it.

Then backlink using as many different keywords related to the niche as possible.

A good question: Once we start our campaign with you, how do we know what additional SEO we can do to our site without appearing to over optimize it. I read somewhere in this thread that you said we should not expect that what you are doing to be all we need to do regarding SEO, so this means that more needs to be done but with the new Algo not sure what that might be. The goal of all should be a top 3 position as that is where the real traffic is at, so can you give us some "general" idea of what we could do in addition to your work to safely help our sites and/or webpage out?
