Jo,

I really can't give you a time frame. It should be within a few days to a week. This is why I do not get too much in details with anyone for fear of either looking bad or sounding like I do not know what I am talking about.

I will say this, it will take longer if all you submitted is one article. This is not the type of network, where, like ezine it gets published right away on one site (although that does give me an idea...)

Let's pretend there are 8,000 articles in one category and there are 300 sites calling for articles in that category, all pulling their articles at random, making sure to not pull their own or any duplicates.

Eventually each article would get published, some will get published many times. Each site calls for one article a day. So, if one site did not change category and stayed a member it would take them 8,000 days to pull every article - almost 22 years.

But, the thing is that all those numbers are in flux at all times. There are always new articles being added and new sites choosing that category.

So, let's continue with the math for a bit. Assuming NOTHING changes, every day (in our example) 300 articles out of the 8,000 are being placed on sites from the database. Simple math is take 8,000/300 and in 22 days all articles are placed at least once.

Again, deceptive.

I am going to use the example of Christoph who has 300 articles in the system and has been with the program for 3 months. Right now he is averaging dozens of articles getting placed daily - actually 40-60.

The more you put into the database, the more likely your article is going to get picked up and more often.

It gets pretty intricate with the math and the algos in choosing. I am actually working on a new way to distribute the articles more frequently and more often to get everyone more links.

KEEP IN MIND:

The main purpose for this plugin is to get you backlinks, and do it automatically. It will do that. It does require you to do a little setup.

Also, a main goal was to accomplish this and make it appear as natural as it could.

I hope that makes sense and helps.

My suggestion:

To be successful, there are some steps required, as you know. IM is NOT the Kevin Kostner movie Field of Dreams, where, "If you build it, they will come".

Submit links, articles, stick with the program, make sure you are putting out quality articles and your on page SEO is good.

Then you are gonna fly!

Greg

PS. I do not like revealing my hand too soon (poker experience - I sat in a WPT Main Event once - ask me the story some time - pretty cool ) but I have some upgrades coming soon that are going to be pretty awesome if i do say so myself!

Wow, that's a really thorough explanation Greg.
Ok hopefully, the time and effort I put in would reap me huge benefits very soon.

I'll be setting up the 2nd blog now.
Thanks!

Hi there,

You might want to check Greg's very detailed answer re: articles on other blogs at reply #1605 just above your post.

As for the error, we'll just have to wait on Greg to answer that. Have you submitted a support ticket already?

Hi Greg

Why not let me and the other Users do this work ourself.
I´m sure a lot of ill formatted Articles are only there by accident, because there is no Preview of the article. To setup a spintax article and upload with the correct links in them are quite a task. Just ask my guy to whom I outsourced the uploading.

So here is what you can do.

Every time I submit one article, take that article spun it and send my readyspun article to my email with the request for a pre-approval.
Insert a Checklist before the article that list the things to check for.
Here are a few Ideas
Spintax OK? No { or } left?
Links OK? Are there 2 or 4 Links with the correct keywords?
Linebreaks between paragraphs?
And more …

Insert the Article ID (you have to display the ID in the plugin also) and let me pre-approve if OK or let me do changes to the article if necessary.

That way I´m sure my Article is correct and your manual approval will only have to deal with the Bad-Guys or some.

What do you think about that?

Actually I am talking about sites which are showing in my system, in articles distributed tab. System says they posted my articles in 10 sites but when I goes to those sites, I am not able to found my article then how come I know if my article is posted or not?

About categories I have submitted a ticket but got no response yet. Are you guys experiencing same problems with category?

seoplanet,

We have experienced this with a handful of users. You need to submit a support ticket. We banged out a bunch of them over the weekend (it was the weekend) and will get more done.

When on the site, go to the nav bar and click on the support desk, it will take you to a page where you can download a plugin we built to help with diagnosing problems.

What you can do, if the controls for the hide categories is not working, and you cannot turn off the articles, then deactivate the plugin.

If you have not tried to turn off the articles, then do that, the video for it shows how to do it.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but the support desk is where we need to file this so we can track it.

Christoph,

We have on the list and are starting to build something to give the users a preview ability before submission, as well as a few other checks and balances in the system.

Good ideas.

That is the plan, introduce as much automation to the plugin, with checks and balances, then allow a double opportunity for a self check, then it will get to where a manual submission will be added on top of that.

I appreciate the ideas.

daddykool,

That is funny. Isn't that voice great?
I really like it.

I hired someone to do that video because the original one I had was 17 minutes and I think I had information overload for people doing it.

The training videos are all me.

I appreciate the kind words.

Greg, I know right, I am the man who tries to get it all out at once! Thanks for the thorough follow up and kind words. Great to hear you have a proactive testing environment. That will go a long way for those nasty bugs that people focus on and think you product is "not good" . Let me know when you have the multi-blog managment tool in beta, I will help you test.

IN any event, I believe you mentioned that you were giving some kind of point or reward system to people who wanted to install in on more then a few blogs. IS that the case or coming?

Thanks!

Thanks Sean,

I am the same way at times. I want my cake and eat it to.

We do have a fairly incredible cloud server setup now to handle the storage and distribution of the links and articles and other features as well as the constant communication of 6,000 sites (and growing daily) to the database.

What we have done is set up a 'mirror' server to test on. We have also then set up over 50 sites, all with different configurations, on 4 different hosting plans, themes, plugin combinations, versions of WordPress, including beta versions not released yet, all tied into our test server. We have that to simulate as many different user environments as possible.

When a user has an issue, if need be, we will issue them a custom built plugin, ask them to install it, click a button and it will produce a download csv file that they then submit to us to help us troubleshoot what is going on.

Soon that plugin will be automatically built into the ABC (and every other plugin I am going to release - and I have a few coming - ).

I will let the users know about the later release of future plugins and products as they will get an opportunity for a limited time discount and for some products, a group of beta testers will be perfect. Some of the offers will be very worthwhile if people check their emails that they register the plugin with.

As far as the 'rewards' program goes. It will come and is coming. We are prioritizing the things now for best release. Bug fixes take priority, upgrades and new features are in there after that. The rewards is really a new feature. It is highly important to me to allow for more links to the users at no additional cost other than more sites with the plugin, and it will help to explode the network.

At this pace, I hope to break 10k sites by the end of May (conservative estimate) and 50k sites by the summer. Couple that with the actual features for adding more backlinks, and the ABC plugin will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with! Even then at $67 a month, it will be an incredible bargain! Think about you lucky ones on this WSO who are locked in at this price.

So, enough self promotion here, the rewards are coming, I appreciate everyone's patience and support.

Hi Greg,
I have a question you may have answered already but i haven't found it. If i have page of an electronic gadget review, i would link once in the cat. of electronics and once in reviews. Would it help any if i submitted the same link in the same category more than once, say 3 to electronics and 3 to reviews? Don't want to waste my links on useless endeavors.

Hello Greg,

Submitted a support ticket, number is SA2Z1J3GGP. Expecting reply asap.

Also, I am not able to hide categories, even no category is showing in hide category tab. Please help me in this.

Please let me know how can I check where my articles are live. I am just getting main domains of site like hxxp://www.domain.com. Please let me know how can I find my article on this site. Why your plugin is not providing exact URL to see my articles?

Please help. I am not able to get real benefit of this plugin.

Sure it would help.

Make sure that the page you are talking about is linked to at least one other page on your site through a relevant word, and have links in ABC to those other pages as well.

Also what would help is if you have been marketing the site, then you have submitted articles to several article directory sites, and web 2.0 sites, and made blog comments and have video submitted to video sites,
BUILD LINKS TO ALL OF THOSE AS WELL!

That is what pushes you through to the next level!

Manish,

I have responded to the ticket. I appreciate your patience when submitting a ticket, as we do our best to respond to all tickets as soon as possible, but have advertised that a response typically happens within 24-72 hours.

Most of the time it is sooner.

Responding to the email (which will be shut down soon), and the 2 forums (which are going to be shut down soon) AND the support desk is time consuming.

We have no issue with responding to EVERY single ticket and concern, but when placed on multiple avenues, it is time consuming, annd then takes longer to respond to everyone.

That is why I am going to be shutting down the support email, and the 2 forums. The plugin will only be available through the site, and ALL contact will have to filter through the Support Desk.

Those tickets that skip knowledgebase articles will wait longer for a response, as most answers to common questions are readily available in minutes to any user. They will get addressed, but those tickets with issues that are not easily answered will be addressed first.

I appreciate your patience and cooperation as I want to respond to everyone, as quickly as possible.

NOW...

To your concern.

You are absolutely getting a benefit out of the plugin. All the features of the plugin work, and work beautifully!

Your links (in the widget) and the articles (with links in them) ARE being distributed to the network.

Then the sites they are on, are getting indexed and pinged DAILY!

That is a HUGE benefit, and the primary way (for now) how you are getting backlinks built for you automatically. More ways are coming in the upcoming weeks.

Right now the plugin is providing the top URL for the site that an article is published on, is because, we do not know what permalink structure the site is using, so we cannot tell you the exact URL of the published article.

We are looking into ways to get down to the exact URL for the users. You can use Google to find that out. You can build links directly to that site as well.

The plugin is not going to display a URL if your article was not published there.

In the support ticket, I attached a plugin.

It is a diagnostic plugin we wrote to help us to provide better support for our users.

Follow my directions in the support reply.

Install it, get the file it produces and attach back on the ticket. We are working on the Hide Category issue some users are experiencing.

We will get it resolved. Some users are using some very strange hosting environments, with cut-rate hosting providers, have 20, 30 something plugins installed (some are redundant in function), all kinds of special jquery and ajax scripts on their themes, just absolutely killing themselves without even knowing it.

Some are using services that have PHP 4 still. Something that was outdated 10 YEARS ago!

Anyway! I digress!

I have no idea what your scenario is until you install that plugin, and send back the data.

For right now, then just turn off the articles form being published on your site.

You can always follow my suggestion and install it on a subdomain or subdirectory and have the articles get published there.

I appreciate your patience.

We are working FT to support the product and the users.

Yes, there is a PDF and many step by step videos, and full support is provided with a support desk and Tech Team.

Would love to have you on board.

Well, right off the bat, it is a lot less expensive.

This plugin creates backlinks automatically by displaying your anchor text on other sites in the network (just passes 6,000) while you do the same on yours.

It also creates links by displaying your articles with links on other users sites, as you display other users articles on yours. You will get one article a day.

You could have dozens of articles getting published daily, if you have submitted enough and enough time goes by.

I am adding more features to the plugin so that there will be other ways for it to get backlinks for you, through bookmarking and RSS feeds and maybe web 2.0 sites as well.

The plugin also indexes and pings your site daily to get all of the links, both in the widget (anchor text) and articles, fond and indexed by the search engines.

Greg,

I know that you push article marketing as a keystone of your system, and that it is a strategy used by a multitude of online marketers. But when you think about it, writing more and more and more articles for syndication is laborious, costly and maybe even downright cannibalistic. I propose that we switch from writing articles to using generic 200 to 300-word spun mad-lib marketing blurbs for the sake of building backlinks through your system. That's all we really need, IMHO.

Hi Greg,

Any timeframe for those of us who are experiencing "Access Denied" on the tabs? I know this is a "known conflict" and not to submit a support ticket for it, but I have other people's links and articles on my site but I can't set up my own links and articles because of the "Access Denied" issue

Thanks!

Interesting Robert. I can see where you are going with it, but unfortunately with the recent Goggle algo changes, I think it would be self sabotage.

I am working right now to bring more thing in line with the new Google algo changes as quickly as possible.

I appreciate the feedback and thank you for it.

Kasi,

Thank you so much for playing along. I appreciate it. Since the issue first came up, we have added to our support by designing and building another plugin we use specifically just to help diagnose problems.

Please go to the site, and in the nav bar will be a link to the support desk. It will bring you to a page called the support desk waiting room. You have obviously been there before , and now at the bottom is a link to the plugin we built.

Please grab it, and follow the instructions, submit a support ticket, explaining your situation WITH the file the plugin produces attached. We will then use the information on the file to help resolve it.

Thank you so much Kasi for your amazing patience. We are closer to resolving it, and have for some already.

I'll look for the ticket later to see if it is there.

Ok, now this could be one of two things. I am kind of glad you brought this up.

First off, these things are supposed to be reported to the Support Desk. They will be handled. I just cut off someone's whole account yesterday for what he did!

We are getting more and more code in place and will soon have a FT person then manually checking on top of that. There is a zero tolerance policy, and it will be strictly enforced when that is all in place!

Here is what it could be:

It could be that the one user who got your article changed the link. At which point, HIS entire account is in jeopardy.

OR

It could have been the issue we had a problem with for some users, about the relative links?

I sent out several emails, put many notices up on the 'News' tab of the plugin, put up a notice on the page to the support desk and mentioned it here several times.

We had an issue with some users about relative links.

What that meant was that some of the links you had in your articles, that pointed back to the site that the plugin was installed on....
were turning into relative links.

They looked like this..."/.../.../.../" and since they went out like that, all of the sites they got published on, WORDPRESS makes it so that the link then gets filled in to the site they were published on.

This of course would look like someone changed your links to their links. That is NOT what happened in most cases.

Now as frustrating as it is and that now is makes better sense, you still have links out there that are not pointing to your site. Those cannot be changed.

What you need to do, is check to see if you have the latest version of the plugin installed, as we have resolved it in a previous release.

Check through your articles, and any of them with links to the site that the plugin is installed on might be a relative link. The way to know is to check using the HTML button on the editor.

If you still do, I sent out an email stating we have a way to fix all of your links from the DB side. We required some information from you, but if you submit it to the Support Desk, we would then go ahead and get them changed for you.

Just last week, we did it for a user with 300 articles in the system. Once we got the information and we plugged it in, it took a few minutes to change all those links.

Also, please check your emails that the ABC is whitelisted to your inbox.

If not, then go register a plugin and put in an email that your will check.

So many of you are missing important messages about updates, new blog posts, fixes we can do for you...etc. And you are not using the resources provided, like the videos, the blog, the News tab in the plugin either.

This has a trickle down affect.

This has nothing to do with you personally SEOPLANET, I am just saying in general...

The trickle down affect is this. The resources of the plugin are NOT being used, which means the plugin is not being used effectively by some. This created unnecessary support issues and cancellations.

I hope this comment helps you out SEOPLANET AND other users who may not have realized this was an issue, and was resolved.

Thank you.

Quick question didn't see anyone ask but what PR ranking is the average site that would be linking back? I read having a thousand PR 0's doesn't help much.

Hi Greg,

It seems that the article distribution list shows the domain level URL of the backlinking article and not the full URL to the backlinking page/article. Will it eventually show the full path to the article post and not just the domain on which it is posted. thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the excellent feedback below.

Greg, perhaps you can jump in here and advise?

From the comment below, is the idea to try and submit as many unique articles as you can to the ABC Plugin?

Here is my current situation.

I have 3 Amazon review sites.

These sites all sell similar products and each of them could probably fall under the categories - 'Home and family', 'shopping and product', and 'Reviews'.

So what I would like to know is what should my strategy be?

So far, I have written 1 article for each site, and uploaded that same article 3 times to the different categories above. I.e. I have 9 articles in the system.

At the moment I am getting about 1 article submitted per day.

Hope you can give me some clarity on what exactly I should be doing with these 3 sites each day. Should I keep writing an aritlce for each site and upload that 1 article to the 3 different categories?

Thanks. The potential with this plugin is huge!
I am already seeing results in the SERPS after 2 weeks. Possibly not because of the backlinks because it may be too early, but because every day there is fresh content being added to my site, which Google loves.

I have created and uploaded 297 Articles.
Since upgrading to V2 last week there are 526 Articles distributed to the ABC Network with each 2-4 links in them.

Here are the last three days:
03/08 Articles distributed: 58
03/09 Articles distributed: 62
03/10 Articles distributed: 70

Do the math. That´s 6000+ Articles in three Month from now. Each of them has 2-4 links pointing to my blogs.

To that number of Links add the Links from the Link Distribution.
Here is my current Link Distribution Status:
Total Links: 550
Links Used: 223
Links Available: 327

These used Links show up randomly on 6000+ sites. I can only guess how many Links the big G finds in the Wild Wild Web. Pretty much I think.

Starting Monday I will start adding Links that point to my newly setup Link-Wheels and Link-Magnets instead of my blogs. That should do wonders over time.

Any chance the plugin will be updated to allow multiple category selection for publishing articles to member sites like the Unique Article Wizard plugin does?

There are many sites with PR in the network. More will be added as the 'rewards' program is introduced.

That thought of lots of no PR backlinks not helping you is speculation. It is very situational.

If those backlinks lead to a garbage site, yes, I can see it being no good. If you have great, unique content, well optimized and great architecture of the site, you will see a benefit.

Many users (most) already have experienced HUGE benefits in traffic, rankings, adsense, commissions, one user (Kevin?) just picked up a $400 commission last week. (No idea what he was promoting)

I hope that helps.

GREAT! Love hearing about serp increases after 2 weeks.

Strategy?

Grab hold of the videos and tutorials and watch them, in order.

1) Keep doing what you are doing
2) make sure the pages are well optimized and interlinked
3) each page should have its own target KW
4) write articles with the inner pages as the target URL
5) submit those articles to the network in each of the 3 categories
6) make sure you are using as many links as you can - widget feature
7) build other links through article sites, video submissions, blog comments etc
8) build links to those other backlinks using the links feature - widget
9) make sure your content is unique
10) change the URL in the indexer to the inner pages of your sites every few days and run it a few times manually as well

I hope this helps. Keep it up!

We are looking into making that possible. Kind of a chicken and egg thing with that in terms of the code, but I am fairly confident we can get to work to drill down to the exact URL.

Always working!

Using the built-in XML-RPC remote publishing will handle all of that. A successful REST call will return the post id, which you can use for reference inside your database. You can use a MetaWeblog.getPost call to retrieve the link to the new post. As an alternative, ABC members can install the Pingback Optimizer plugin, which I recommend no matter what.

Greg,

Please, move it up on the priority list because I could use such functionality on the 15 sites I'm adding to the network. And while you're at it, please add an All Categories (Random) for the articles settings like you have for the link settings.

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks for detailed answer Greg, I will send you the report soon to check the environment.

I have also sent you the URL's of 2 guys today who changed my articles and posted their own links in that. Let me know what you can do for those?

Thank you for the tips, am going to look into it. The list of items will move very fast as soon as we can get past one last bug that is still plaguing some users.

What we are going to have to do for the users that the Hide Categories does not work for is to just give you a turn off switch. We have desperately tried to recreate the scenario where it does not work for you and we just cannot.

So for those users, we may just have to give you a 'turn it off' switch, and if you do not want the articles to appear on your main site, then install the plugin on a sub domain or in a sub directory and then let the articles publish there.

Once we get past that part, the new upgrades and features will come pretty fast.

Ok, will look into it. Like I said, it is most likely due to the relative links issue we had, that is now resolved.
