I haven't used SES over the holidays and have not used EPS at all. I loaded up the software for the first time today, loaded the proxy list from yesterday (01-03-11) and ran the program to find the live proxies. I came up with nothing. I did not change the default settings on the software and yes, I did RTFM repeatedly. Any ideas why I would come up with no live proxies? (And yes, I'm quite sure it's something I did or did not do)

Ah, well, you need to get and use EPS to find the
L1 and L2 proxies. (I also sort and use <700 or so ms delay).

I have just ordered SESniper as this is just what I need right now to stimulate some traffic to my sites as getting enough backlinks to beat the competition is so tedious.

Reading through all the comments I can see that Casey is very responsive to fellow Warriors providing the service that makes a purchase pleasant and satisfying. Not like many so called Gurus who don't respond to their emails or leave their customer support/helpdesk in the care of incompetant morons who don't respond or close two week old tickets if one dares to comment!

My only slight regret is not visiting this forum more frequently to take advantage of low prices at the launch of a WSO!

I have EPS... what I'm saying is I used EPS this morning and came up with no working proxies (the list was from 01-03-11). I'm obviously doing something wrong because I can't believe there are no live proxies left since noon yesterday. I am running this on the Windows side of my Mac (VMware) but I don't know why that would make any difference as all my other Windows based software runs fine on it.

I have not used EPS before. I haven't used anything or tried to use anything the past two weeks during the holiday season. I opened up the us.txt list since I assume that is for the US...the first three were:

I also live in Germany and have just sen this software and I will be purchasing it.If you open any browser up here in Germany and type in Google.com your right it makes you go to Google .de but if you change your internet settings to Google it will take you to google.com.

Any source that will give a good quantity of proxies is fine.

I'm using just 1 web 2.0 site for just 1 keyword.
It's sitting right now at #58 position in Google for the target word.
How many loops do we need to get some positive results?

Hi, everybody. I have a few questions on the subject.
1) I checked a few of my websites on rank tracker and didn't find any of them in the first 100 using all the keywords I run through SESniper. The question is, do I need to submit to search engines all of my domains and subdomains before I run SESniper? Or it is not necessary, and my domains and subdomains will be indexed without submission?
2) Something wrong with Yahoo search engine. I couldn't search anything in there, even not my websites. In the rank tracker it showed that the search in Yahoo failed as well. Does anyone here have the same problem?
3) Does the SESniper help ranking subdomains as well? Because I have many blogs which are subdomains of my main wordpress blog. Please help me understand if I need to submit all of the subdomains to search engines, even I have submitted my main website(wordpress blog)already, in order to start seeing results for them?

I understand level 2 proxies are somewhat transparent. Should we concern ourselves with that? I would think we would all want level 1's but they seem to be in limited supply.

As far I can discover L1 and L2 are anonymous as far as Google is concerned.

Although L3 will reveal source ip I don't know whether searching
Google from L3 is sufficient to register a unique visit or Google would
pick up the source ip and render it void.

I'll answer for Simon.

With a level 3 (transparent) proxy, the web server knows that you are using a proxy and it can also detect your real IP address.

With a level 2 (anonymous) proxy, the web server knows that you are probably using a proxy, but it can't detect your real IP.

With a level 1 (high anonymous) proxy, the web server can't see whether or not your using a proxy or your IP by the information that your browser is sending.

(and a little caveat. there is no such thing as 100% anonymity on the web. Packet sniffers, traceroute, pinging etc. could give any interested party a slim chance at identifying your activity)

Hope this clarifies the levels of proxies for you.

And, not to scare anyone away... When you use a public proxy you have no control over what information the proxy server is logging or collecting.
You always run the chance that one of these public proxy servers has been set up with the sole purpose of collecting your actual IP, these servers are known as 'Honeypots' and are usually under the control of security companies, clandestine organizations, military, government... Search Engines OH MY!!! etc. Again, what they would be collecting is IP info and the destinations IP, They can also see the information passing through, unless it is encrypted. Under no circumstance use any public proxy (no matter what level you're using) for anything that you want to remain private i.e. banking etc.

Should we be concerned?.... Yes.... Should we worry about using SES with the L1 and 2 proxies?..... Just a tiny bit

And the most important thing to take away about proxies is, IT IS NOT ILLEGAL!!! And you are not breaking any laws (at least in a free country) In fact, for the most part it's very wise to use them as long as you trust the proxy server.

In the future, I believe Casey will add enough randomization and ******** to render these concerns mute. I have made my requests to Casey for what features I would like SES to possess and I believe they will be implemented in the future

Get in now before the price rises to a point that you can't afford.

Makes me wonder now about my SEO efforts, do I put them aside and focus exclusively on using this product or still utilize the other methods?

For ex.

I could use SE Sniper along or

User SEO sniper + article marketing robots (for backlinks) and a mass social bookmarking service (Onlywire)

I'm not sure how many other products I should be using as people are reporting #1 ranking just by using SE sniper.

I could be wrong, but with the results that SE sniper gives us alone, it could render the other SEO tactics and software we use obsolete if it is just as powerful if not more than all of those.

As has been stated many times in this thread, Sniper is just one of the many legs to good SEO. Do not stop using other methods. SE Sniper is NOT a magic bullet.

Yes I checked on the admin in compatibility mode, so any time I open the SEsniper icon I always have this checked. I do run my computer as an admin as well. But I still have this problem of disappearing keywords and have to insert them again and again before running the "Get Popular" mode. Do you have any ideas?
Do you have my other question in the #2150 page 43? I'll appreciate if you could answer them so I can fill better.

When you start SES, pick a campaign and click load campaign
the keywords don't immediately show but click the domain
in the list and then the keywords appear.

After loading (Load All Campaigns) and selecting (clicking on) the URL in the left window, the keywords should appear in the right window. They do for me anyway. If they don't appear, you might want to delete everything and setup everything again now that you have a bit more experience with SES.

I'm a brand new SES user. I have today's 01-04-11 proxylist and ran it through eliteproxyswitcher. There were 3805 IPs in the list. 15 were level 1. 6 were level 2.

Is this normal or is something way off? I was under the impression that we had to be using a *lot* of unique proxies.

Also, page 8 of the manual says "Get fresh proxies 1-2 times a day." Is there an alternate source that's recommended for proxies or does Casey publish two lists per day?

For those of you looking for additional proxies I would suggest that you download a copy of 'Forum Proxy Leecher'. The free version will work just fine for Sniper users.

FPL's limitations (for the free version) is that only allows you to scrape two forums at a time.

I will not explain how to use it (this is the Warrior Forum). They do have a decent help file which is more than adequate to get you started.

Search this thread for other posts that I have made in regards to FPL and proxies in general for additional info.

And keep in mind that the integrity of the forums that you will be scraping can have the reputation of being suspect.

I did notice fewer usable proxies in today's list but not the numbers you're finding. I'll run (others here may as well) a test and see what I get.

As far as fresh proxies 1-2 times a day, I will use older lists and run them through EPS. I do this several times a day since proxies go bad regularly. Some say the average life of a proxy is 20 minutes. I think that's why it's best to have a large group of them to run through SES.

So does this mean that if I check the brand new list at 6am, the proxies that are bad at that time may be working if I check that same list at 6pm?

And another alternative way to find proxies is to do this.

Search string :8080 :3128 :80 will return 100's of proxy lists.
Filter results for the "last 24 hours" (Google advanced search) for fresh, working lists.

I'm giving away too many of my tricks.... This is the last time... I'm serious.

I haven't looked too closely at which proxies work from an old list and whether the original non-working ones are now working.
From my experience, I know that the old lists will still produce some good level 1 and 2 proxies. Also, I've seen where a level 1 turned to a level 2 which I presume means that it could change to a level 3 as well.

NEVER, EVER USE A LIST THAT YOU FIND ON A *LACK - HAT WEBSITE.... you're running the chance of giving up your site to spammers.

I'm using the proxies that Casey provided for today and I cleaned them with elite proxy switcher so they should be ok...

It's been like 30min and it still didn't complete one loop??

It is supposed to complete one loop each 8-12 minutes, right?

Any suggestions to why it's taking so long?

Is the green progress bar advancing? If not, you need to quit SES and relaunch. A reboot might even be in order.

I don't know what the problem is but I don't think it's so exact time wise.
If it's taking too long, stop and change something then restart it. You don't lose anything except maybe the 30 mins you've been waiting.

I've tested the new v1.3 and it works great. The new licensing system is ready too, so all future customers will get their download and activation code immediately after purchase. After paying with paypal you must click the button to return back to the site and download.
