Has anybody looked at their workinglog file?
Every few seconds, SES is working on the same search. I have 10 threads but there will be over 100 of these logged in a 5 minute period.
Also, it looks like we should probably clear this file every once in a while.

This kept happening to me too over and over again. There is something a little buggy in the software so when you create your new campaigns and have everything set up exactly as you want, DON'T CLICK EITHER OF THE TWO BUTTONS TO START THE SOFTWARE.

Instead, click the QUIT button then relaunch the software. Once it's relaunched, make sure all of your settings are still the same. CHECK EVERYTHING. If it all looks good, then you can click GET POPULAR and it should run. Depending how much work you're asking the software to do, monitor it for 20-45 mins (without touching anything) because sometimes it progresses real slow. That's what I had to do before it began working.

I saw the same thing, but assumed that when it showed repeated tasks in short time intervals it was because the proxy IP it was attempting to use was dead so it moved on to the next IP. I really don't know though, so it would be nice if this aspect could be clarified by one of the pros that's been working too hard at assisting the rest of us.

I just realized that my installation of WinXP has IE6. Will things work better if I upgrade to IE7? I hate doing MS upgrades of any sort because they always seem to hijack some part of the system so if it's working now with IE6 is there any need to update to IE7?

I notice that every once in a while. You just wait a minute or two and then the pop up screen will show indicating that the process is complete. Close it out and continue.
Not sure why sometimes it hapens and other times not.

I am a bit new to using proxies, could anyone provide some general rules for SES? From reading the threads I got: use L1 only, ms<700 delay. Does this sound right? How about the quantity? I know it must depend on the # of KW, but is there a rule of thumb? Is the objective to make each search done by a different proxy?

Sfrias, the rule of thumb that I use for proxies is, 2-3 searches per proxy. Naturally 1 to 1 would be ideal, but with the nature of proxies it is out of the question, unless of course you had a private supply that you have purchased. L2 proxies do not bother me in the least.

For all Sniper users, if you have been considering buying a proxy package be certain that they are not 'Authenticated proxies' (requiring login information). They will not work with SES. If you are considering purchasing 'Non Authenticated Private Proxies' be advised that you will pay dearly for the required numbers that will be used to run SES optimally.

# of searches your keyword gets per month- (based on google or do you mean the # of traffic I am getting from this keyword already)
# of keywords with that search volume- (do you mean how many exact match entries google lists? a little confused about this one.

Your clarification would be tremendously appreciated.

Unfortunately I also have the problem with the green bar not moving after upgrading to version 1.3. Hope that Casey can help.

To clarify, the workinglog , every line isn't a search.. it's what the app is still doing at that particular time. =) No worries thinking it's searching like crazy. The workinglog will show more details, and all threads in a future update.

The number of searches per month would be what you get from Google's Keyword Tool. So if your keyword is "blue widgets" and Google's Keyword Tool says it gets 8000 exact searches per month, type 8000 in that box.

The number of keywords with that search volume means how many keywords in that same range. So if you're targeting "red widgets", "green widgets", and "yellow widgets" as well, and they also get 8000 searches a month (or somewhere close), then you would have 4 keywords in the 8000 searches a month range.

Make sense?

Did you put a number in all four fields at the bottom?

Even if you're not using min/max stay time, you have to put a number there or it won't go.

I made that mistake when I first started and it didn't move; but after I filled in all the fields at the bottom it worked.

I also noticed that when running more than one instance of SES, the log will record all searches under the most recently launched campaign.

In other words, I can start a GP mode and see the log report the searches for this under Mode = Get Popular. That's correct. But then I start another campaign in S mode and then the log will record this AND the other GP searches under this most recent mode. It's a little confusing.

No big deal, for now. But if the log is for tracking your history, it should be more accurate.

First thank you for your email but it didn't solved my problem, i think i mentionned that the Activation datas that igot is not working as the Image posted previously and included to my mail can confirm.
So the 2nd download that i got didn't resolved my problem and i still get activation eroor!
so may be New and working Datas can fix this

All the cells are locked except for the ones in white to make it less confusing and to prevent anyone from accidentally deleting the formulas that make it work. I just re-downloaded it to try it out and I can type numbers into every white cell. Are you still having issues?

Yes I did put a number on all four fields. It has been like that for a long time now, but unfortunately it is stuck on the first keyword of the first domain name!

... Just realized that Casey sent me a new link a minute ago. Hope this new version solves the problem.

Has anyone really gotten this to work multithreaded? I've asked for support but it has been hostile, merely saying "it works" but it doesn't. I've let it run for 12 hours and it does the work it is supposed to do in 30 minutes.

After a dozen support emails and posts on their forum looking to get this to work, I've asked for a refund but been told no, its over the 2 week policy at PayPal, so I'm stuck with it. Really? I've been trying to get support and help on this since I bought it and now I'm too late?

I understand a refund policy when people just "want" to return it. But for something that has never worked properly?

And I don't know if it is covered in the last 50 pages of comments, but the proxy generator software that is included also doesn't work, so you get the same list everyone else gets every day, and running it through proxy checkers, only about 15% are Level 1 or 2.

So if they can't answer it for me, maybe someone here can.

I know the status line on the bottom only shows 1 thread at a time, even if you run 50. But the green bar shows the progress through the whole thing. If you have 1 domain, 10 keywords, 5 engines, that's 50 "things" to be done. If you were to (foolishly) do 50 threads in a 10-20 minute random interval, then the whole thing should be done in 20 minutes max. But it is taking a day. So clearly not multi-threading properly.

Can anyone else shed any light?

Assume 1 domain, 20 keywords. I am willing to use 1-20 threads. What's the "correct" settings to use to get 10 passes (loops) per day through the keywords?

Just bought this but couldn't download it. Got this error message when I clicked the download link:

I'm a Mac user. SES is running on WinXP on VirtualBox. I haven't used WinXP in over a year (and that was only to use a WSO piece of software). I thought auto-updates would be a good idea, but they updated so much stuff that it "invalidated" my copy of windows despite the fact that this is MY legitimately purchased copy of windows. That is why I'm reluctant to run any sort of MS updates.

20 keywords 10 times a day seems like a lot. I'd recommend scaling back a bit and make 110% certain that your site is listed within the first 5 pages of Google for EVERY SINGLE keyword you've chosen otherwise you will have problems completing a loop.

I'd pick five keywords, run 5 threads with 20 sec send/recv, pick 3-5 search engines, and run each job 8 to 25 minutes. If you can see progress happening after a couple hours, then start a new instance of the software with the same settings and the next 5 keywords. Rinse, repeat.

I wrote a whole Excel formula to calculate all that and Casey has been including it downloads, plus it's on here and on the support forum. The multi-threading works fine if you have good proxies and if it's taking that long it means your proxies are bad.

As it has been pointed out a few times, most recently by Jeremy Kelsall, Casey didn't sell you the proxies, he sold you the software. Cheers to him for trying to get the bloody proxy thing as well, but the more users he adds the harder it will be to keep new proxies coming.

So instead of expecting him to do it all, you have to get up and go find your own proxies. I did. I went searching and found my own supply that doesn't run out as quick and the software works just fine for me.

Do some work on your own and you'll find this is a great program. Expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter and you'll most likely be disappointed.

...so apparently I didn't RTFM and I coded my formulas for "dwell" time on each site in SECONDS, not MINUTES. Whoops lol...

Anyways, it is fixed and ready for download. I've also added a new set of files called SESniperExample that shows you what to put in each field so there's no confusion.

1 Domain X 20 Keywords X 5 Search Engines = 100 searches.
A Min. and Max. of 10 & 20 minutes will give you a 15 minute average search time X 100 Searches = 1500 minutes Divided by 15 Threads = 100 Minutes or 1 Hour and 40 Minutes per loop..... Assuming that some of the proxies will die I would round up to 2 hours per loop. This should get you 10 - 12 loops in a 24 Hour period, provided your proxies hold up.

I just wanted to say that I just Finally purchased this last night. When I purchased it the program would not recognize my email and receipt number, even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

After trying to find a different fix myself I emailed Casey.

He returned the email promptly (especially considered I emailed at 3am EST), sent me a new download link and now everything works fine.

As long as they're proxies that don't require authentication (username:ppassword) Go for it!

I know nothing about this new service, but you may want to find out how many proxies they're giving you and the levels of anonymity first.

i got already a 2nd version of the 1.3 SEsniper but it didn't work and i still have error on registration :s
i don't knwo if the version you're talking about is an other one and if it's the case then i didn't got mine yet to try it!
