Can I also add a few more suggestions to your list?
1. To keep from having to run multiple instances, the panel should accept entries (an entry=1 domain, 1 kw along with its min/max + other settings). Each entry should have the option for launching the entry into "get popular" or "snipper mode". Reason for this is: launching multiple instances is very resource intensive. A multy threaded timer cycling through the entries list for next launch time is much more efficient. (I used to be a java enterprise coder). AND, a project containing multiple domains and kw's doesn't always need the same min/max, stay/time settings for all the kw's.
2. When the app senses a proxy has failed, remove it or move it to an expired list. This way we always know how many good proxies are active. If we see only a few are working, we add more.

We would appreciate if you would “give up” the name, email, website, company or software package name so we can contact them directly. We would rather take legal action against THEM instead of you.

Hey guys,

I'm able to get into SESniper now but now there's a new problem.. maybe i'm missing something here but when I right click the SESniper desktop icon to run as admin, there is no run as admin option?

I just noticed this as well on my desktop, some of the icons I can right click and there is an option to run as admin right there, and some of them do not have that option.

So how do I run Sniper as admin???

I hope casey can shed some light on this because if this is true and all search engines follow suit then they could delist our sites.

For them to contact you they must see some kind of pattern and then no doubt they go to your site and contact you because you are the owner of the site.

They don't look to be acusing you directly, they are saying you are using a service or company that is doing it.

Still all in all a bit scary and hopefully Casey can work out a solution or put our minds at rest.

Thanks for sharing now this is getting very interesting. When you consider dogpile,webcrawler etc.. are not well known but they have the technology to work all this out then what technology does the major search engines have.

I would love to hear some thoughts and solutions if possible please.

P.S. I am only using Level 1 Proxies now for sure because I certainly don't want to get caught with my pants down lol. level 1 apparently I was reading will not look like you are using a proxy.

Yes, I sent out another mailing just now..

It's all the search engines owned by infospace. Dogpile, Mamma, Excite, Metacrawler, webcrawler.

To be safe I recommend just using the 3 Major search engines ONLY.

In v1.4 the others won't exist, just to be safe.

If these SE's picked up a pattern AND only L1 and L2 proxies were used, then we have a problem. If they can pick it up, G, Y and B certainly can do it too.

Were both "get popular" and "snipper" modes used? Hopefully it's only "get popular" that leaves a footprint.

Hi Casey, at moment I ONLY use ONE search engine (the BIG G), do u think this is advisable? Or would I be better of to use the other two biggies (yahoo and bing) as well?

I'm only using G as well. If we use it reasonably as recommended it shouldn't be a problem.

But we have users that are utterly abusing this software. I've been talking with Infospace, and there's some users that are sending 500 searches a day, and most of them are with the users direct IP address.

Those abusers are Deliberately misusing and abusing the software and now it has has hurt all of us. Now none of us can use those search engines, unless you want a spam complaint.

The same with the major search engines.. no one has received a spam complaint yet, but thinking about the people who are just running the software full speed, without a care in the world.. I'm going to edit the software to have a cap.

It sucks, but to protect all users, that's what we have to do. This software is amazing, and having a few people mess it all up would be a shame now.

So, I'm going to put a cap on the amount of use the software can do per day. Maybe 20 loops maximum.

What do you guys think?

Honestly, I'm still confused with all those numbers (although I have gone through the spreadsheets)... I guess I am just stupid when it comes to numbers... it confuses me....

So, please enlighten me....

A single loop is actually roughly equal to how many searches or clicks? Or do I need to go back to the number and the spreadsheet to calculate this? :confused:

By the way, I am glad to hear that you say you want to put a cap at 20 loops per day.... so far my average is about 14 loops per day!

If the answer is to put a max amount of loops then please do it. Do what is best for the masses and not the few please. The problem is people want a quick fix and ignore the guide lines. I would have thought even 20 loops per day is a lot but if you think 20 loops is acceptable then pls do it. If people complain then give them a refund.

I would like to ask please how you approached Infospace when you are the creator of the alledged spamming software lol. I would love to know how you got all the info out of them. for them to tell you people are abusing your software. You must be a good sweet talker or something.

Anyway please do whatever you need to do to make this software do what it is supposed to do so it looks natural and so we don't get our sites blacklisted.

If this can go on long term without a trace then surely that is better than a quick fix. You are the boss so do whatever needs to be done please because i am getting a bit worried now.

@wrays, 1 loop is 1 search for each of the domains/keywords/se's in the campaign.

Actually they can still abuse it, by entering their domain multiple times in the domain list.

So, I'm going to have to figure out a way to stop the abuse before it ruins it for all users.

Until then, I've taken my site down for orders. No more orders until I can get this straightened out, as I can't have everyone accused of spam.

You are right but have to take in consideration if the site is new or not.
30 searches a day means 900 a month. If nobody ever search for that site and suddenly start getting 900 searches a month...

Hi Casey, if 1 loop = 1 search/click. 20 loops is ONLY 20 searches/clicks. That is not too many... is it? How could someone get to 500 searches (500 loops) per day? Perhaps they enter their domains multiple-multiple times like you mentioned?

Here is a scenario.

What is better no. 1 or no.2 ?

1. You get your site to the top by abusing the system in less than a week but later get your site dropped and blacklisted.

2. You gradually build your site up through the ranks using the software sensibly but it takes you 2 or even 3 weeks. Plus you can build more sites and continue to use the software because you are building your sites up in the ranks gradually so it does not signal a red flag.

Well I know which one I would want.

Sorry but I am a bit peed off right now so anyone who votes for number 1 deserves to be blacklisted if you ask me.

@wrays, There's no cap at the moment. Right now, people are able to run it full blast.

I'm going to put a cap on it though. Sucks, but at least it'll still help with ranking.

It's sad that we have to put a cap on the searches.

You would think everyone knows that gradual is the key.

But think about backlinks, we've all posted a comment to get a backlink, and scrolling back up the page you ALWAYS see a spammer who posts 50 of his sites, and the blog eventually stops accepting comments. All because of the guy who severely abused it.

It would also help to know whether they are only detecting the "Get Popular" mode and the "Sniper Mode" with L3 proxies. Or also the L2 proxies.

I'm certainly no expert with proxies, internet protocols, etc., but I have a tough time seeing how using "Sniper Mode" with L1 proxies could be recognized by the search engines.

Hi casey, on second thought... I think you MUST quickly put a cap on the program.... if not people can easily use your software to destroy their competitors.... For instance, they can abuse the program by sending 10,000 seaches to their competitor's websites.

And at the end of the day, the software owner (ie you) will get the blame!

I too vote that something be done to keep this software viable. A cap sounds reasonable. What the cap should be, is going to take some figuring. Maybe have it do a kw traffic lookup on the SE's and cap the kw loops at a % of the monthly search results, perhaps?

On the domain/kw being entered more than once to bypass the cap... switch from projects with multiple domains/kw to entries where an entry = 1 domain-1 kw.

My se sniper just stopped now. Green bar didn't move anymore for all my campaigns. Does anybody have the same experience? I notice also that the sniper site is down. Is there any relation?

Yes Casey put a cap on it! After all, those of us who have enough sense to use the slow and gradual approach are not willing to be trashed because of somebody who either doesn't know better or is a total...

Cap is the way to go. Won't affect those of us using SES "the proper way".

Depending how the cap is implemented, it might affect someone who is promoting lots of different domains, even though they are using SES responsibly.

On the other hand, Casey makes a good point that abusers could simply set up the same domain(s) over and over again in multiple campaigns.

I'm not sure how you can limit it. But there needs to be a cap of some type.
Maybe limiting the # of searches per SE per url regardless of KW.

I tried that but in EPS it only allows me to select all or only 1 proxy. I cannot get it to select only the one's I want. So, I have been copying all of them, pasting it into a a spreadsheet and then choosing the ones I want. How can I select only the one's I want in EPS?

Use the [Shift] and/or the [Ctrl] keys. [Shift] will select all proxies between the first and second proxy you click. [Ctrl] will select (or de-select) whichever proxies you click.

If proxie lists are not being emailed out anymore, anyone know of a good place to get good proxies? I don't own Scrapebox.

What Tnimz said, and the second proxy can be anywhere in the list, generally the last L2. And as a reminder Ctrl + A will select everything in the list.

At the same time it made me remember an interview I rear (I believe with Matt Cutts) in which he assured that your site can not be punished for things that you can't control. I know that's not true.

Hey great news. I am working on two domains using sesniper. one of them doesn't rank in the top 50 yet in google, but the other domain is on yahoo and bing first page already. This is incredible, after only 3 days. I am running 15 loops per day for 6 keywords. I love this software, i guess google takes longer to rank, but i'll do it slowly and naturally, i'll get there eventually.

How may loops do you run per day? I remember reading one of your posts and you were saying that you have 40 loops per day. Perhaps if you can slow it down to 15 loops per day... I think you should be fine.

NOTES.

If your OS is XP and you've not done any changes, Admin is the default mode which is why it will not show as an option. All programs will run in admin mode.

If you have several instance of SES running then you will need to stop each one to make
changes, changing one will not affect the others.

You all do keyword research, right? So if keyword "Gold and diamond widgets " (Yes, more than one word but it's commonly known as keyword) is shown as having "Z" searches per month, then Z/30 is the approximate daily search.

To keep searching looking natural put settings to give Z/30*0.05 searches per day.

"Softlee, Softlee Catchee Monkey."

One loop will do as many searches as you have listed.

Rather than capping everybody just those who appear to be abusing the system.

Proxies are always the bottleneck, so keep testing and selecting the faster L1
ones.

Well, that's once only. I figured that it could be too much, so my average loop is only 10-15 loops per day.

When testing is finished, click Delay to sort in descending order.

Click save icon, check L1 and delay and save the file.

Open that file with a spreadsheet, it's then easy to select
the faster proxies, say up to 600/700ms.

Until you delete it, the list in EPS will stay so it's simple
to start it again and click to test all.

My Review to the Seller Casey and SEO Sniper

I just realize after reading another WSO how inconsiderate this seller is....on another software WSO I was just reading a second ago, a buyer had ask will he Refund if software wont' work on his computer and Seller replied and said gladly he would as there is no sense him paying for something he can't use...that is when I remembered Casey and how inconsiderate this seller is...sorry to say....I had asked for Refund after telling him it did not work on my computer...I told him I never ran it since and b/c it was getting close to the holidays at the time, I totally forgot about it..and when I asked for my Refund and explain that I never even used the software...and that I have no use for it...all he cared about was that it was pass his 15 days....clearly he is all about making money for himself and doesn't even think twice about his customer and their benefits.....I'm not happy about the Seller and his Software!!!!
