I purchased WordPress SEO Beast a couple of weeks ago and just stumbled upon your product, Easy WP SEO. After reading all the great reviews I decided to buy your plug in as well. I wish I have found out about it sooner.

Is the keyword density number accurate because after installing the plugin it showed a keyword density of over 8% a 500 word post. However I have the keyword in my post a total of 13 times which would make it a 2.6% keyword density not 8% (which would mean like 40 instances of the keywords). I've used SEOPressor and that calculated it exactly to what I calculated so I don't know why this plugin is showing such a high number. My keyword is 4 word keyword containing 1 preposition as the 3rd word.

Also what percentage should we leave the kw density...like 4-5% or more like 2-3%?

Got this today, but won't have time to do anything with it until the weekend, i have got a few wordpress sites, and i'm really looking forward to using this plug in on them, will report back in a week or 2 with a review.

Do NOT click the "automatically update" link in Easy WP SEO version 1.4...

There was an error in the automatic download and upgrade feature in your current version of Easy WP SEO (I corrected this in version 1.5). So, you will need to download the update file from the "Thank You" page (the link included in the "Download Instructions" email you received) or from the "Please upgrade now" link that displays on the Easy WP SEO "Settings" screen. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I plan to release version 1.6 of Easy WP SEO in the next few days. It will include some exciting features.

I poked around and it looks like the auto update wrote the new files "inside" the old folder.

So a folder in the folder so WP can't find it.

Upgrade automatically is not working. it just deletes the old version and install the new version fails.

Tried manually as well, but with no success.

Hi There,

in V1.4 there is a bug.

You have to FTP into your site and delete the easywpseo fold in the plugins folder. Then upload the new version.

Concerning automatic upgrades...

There is a glitch with the "automatic upgrading" feature in version 1.5 of Easy WP SEO (this was corrected in version 1.5). So, don't click the "automatically upgrade" link. However, you can click the "Version 1.5" or "Please, upgrade now" links to download the plugin directly to your computer. You will be able to upgrade automatically in the future when you upgrade to version 1.5.

It must be me but I cannot see the "Please upgrade now" link that displays on the Easy WP SEO "Settings" screen.

I can only see 4 buttons and none of these says to upgrade.

**ATTENTION**

For anyone who's skeptical about Chris and his wonderful plugin, let me tell you a little story...

I purchased the plugin the same day it came out, can't let this sort of opportunity slip by me. At first, I was worried that there would be issues because 2 of my sites are well, packed with plugins and using a custom theme (OptimizePress). Chris assured me whatever the problem that happened that he could fix it.

Well, both of us were right. I knew there would be conflicts with my other plugins and theme and sure enough, Chris Fixed it!! Thanks a million!! It now look normal and works dandy So here's my own personal review.

Price- I paid about $97 for SEOpressor, this plugins almost renders SEOpressor obsolete although I like to use them both, two different opinions so to say.

Ease of Use- I could run this plugin while sleeping, even the newest of newbies will start making their WP sites SEO friendly in less than 1 hour.

Interface- Slick as heck and easy to understand although some terminoligy used is leaving me :S but nothing to get alarmed on, that's why god made Google

Support- What can I say, Chris is a bang up guy, one night he stayed up till 3AM just to find the problem that we were facing. Fast responding, extremely helpful and just an all-round nice fella.

One word to sum this all up? Beautificent!! (Beautiful, Magnificent) This should win WSO of the YEAR!!

In version 1.5 and future versions, you only need to click a link that says... "automatically update now," and Easy WP SEO automatically downloads the latest version, unzips it, and installs it on your Wordpress site (replacing the old version of Easy WP SEO).

You will need to download the update from the link in the "Thank You" email (subject line... "Your Easy WP SEO Download Instructions...") and either FTP it to your /wordpress/wp-content/plugins folder or upload it through the Wordpress plugin uploading utility.

You can find step-by-step videos that show you how to do both on the "Thank You" page.

Hi Chris, I am having a problem with updating the plugin to 1.5. It tells me that the destination folder already exists and plugin has failed. I haven't got a clue about ftp so what do i do now because I am very new to all this. Thank you. ps. I have clicked the correct link in the settings of easy wp seo so I thought it would have been ok. Chris, thank you so much for all your help. You seem a very genuine person who wants to help and puts himself out for the success of others. Thanks for that.

Just a couple of things. I have managed to upload the new version through filezilla.
However the new version has not changed my seo score and as i said previously
even after i correct my work, i still have a cross in a few of my pages where the keyword is in the first 50-100 words. Also since the new version, my keyword density has gone into the red on some pages (ok in the old version) and my seo score has gone down. I am finding it very slow to come back into the green no matter what changes i seem to be making. Sorry about putting more pressure on you but obviously this is important. Kind Regards.

EDIT: I just logged into my WP installation and on the plugins page I was notified that a new version of easywpseo was available so i clicked on upgrade automatically and was notified that plugin was updated and activated successfully but the plugin has disappeared my from plugin list.

Do I need to install again

Hi Chris and everyone else,

I want to give a review of Easy WP SEO.

I have been using another wordpress SEO tool for several months. This tool cost me $97. While it was able to do on page SEO adequately, it is nothing compared to Chris' Easy WP SEO.

Here are couple of things that are just amazing.

1. Looking at the entire webpage instead of just specifically what is in the post. This is so critical to SEO because the search engines look at the entire webpage instead of just what is contained in a particular post or page.

2. Being able to have secondary keywords optimized. This is so cool to be able to look at the primary keyword and secondary keywords at the same time. This allows for the page to be optimized for multiple keywords therefore getting more "bait" to the search engines.

3. LSI words. This is also great for more search engine bait. Also using keywords that the search engines think are closely related to the primary keywords gives more authority to that particular post or page.

4. Being able to change the method of determining keyword density. This is especially important when your keyword phrase is longtail. The other SEO plug-ins don't do this so well and so your density is not properly calculated. Chris does an amazing job having this flexibility.

5. Constant updating. Chris is updating the plug-in with new features. I can't wait to see what the new things are.

6. Amazing customer support. As most of you can see, Chris seems to live on this post and is so quick to answer questions. What I found an issue in the current version Chris was on it and had it completely corrected within a couple of hours. I'm usually with having to wait for days and days with other products.

So in three words -- "get it now".

With your investment in the WSO, you have a "Multi-Site" license, so you can use Easy WP SEO on an unlimited number of sites you "personally" own. If you want to use Easy WP SEO on your clients' sites (or if you plan to have clients in the future), then you need to upgrade to the "Developer" license.

I can't think of a reason why Easy WP SEO wouldn't work on German sites as well. The readability formulas were originally intended for the English language; but other than that, you shouldn't experience any problems.

If you find it doesn't work, you can always ask for a refund, and I'll give you a single site license just for wasting your time... and as my way of saying, "Thanks for giving it a fair try!"
