7. Social proof is the key and LPN is your manna from heaven.

Just build a bunch of pages/posts and show it off...be confident and go get yours!!!

Quoted for truth. I've actually had a business owner who had an in house guy, turn to his "guy" and say..."what the **** am I paying you for".

It was a 45 minute meeting and for 40 of those minutes, I had to listen to his "guy" ramble on and on and on about why it's hard to rank, and blah blah blah blah...I opened up my laptop and dropped the "bomb" on them from a related market....Guess who rolled out with a check...THIS GUY.

Jeremy, I love your plan of closing sales and making a productive community from the awesome people participating in this thread. I am quite addicted to tuning in to see what new ways people have come up with to utilize LPN. It is going to be a long wait until you get back from Miami and get the new resources together. Although money is short around here I will definitely be doing whatever it takes to be part of this new group. Hope you guys have a great time in Miami. Think of us all sitting at our computers 24/7 churning out top ranking pages.

No, it won't be long. I'm going to talk to Don in the Morning, he's driving to Miami now, I'm flying...when I talk to him, we'll finalize everything, send out an email, and post to this thread, to allow those that want to sign up to sign up.

We are also considering "capping" the community as well so that it can be focused on those that are serious, and so that we see more/better results...not sure on that yet, though...Just something we are tossing around.

Can somebody help me and answer this question I have sent a ticket but I know the guys are busy.

I basically bought the developers version and I set up fine using the video my problem came when I hit draft from 56 cities I added I got 880 pages! is that normal and I have only 20 pages populated with my picture and city name all of which are the first city in my list the rest of the pages are missing my picture and the {city} bit also my nav bar has got like 100 added tabs so I could do with a quick resolve otherwise im very excited!

P.S I am also using headway theme if that makes a difference so not using all in one SEO pack.

Any help would be much appreciated

Do i need to delete all these pages indiviually then?? sorry im a bit thick! and what about the picture?? whats the best and quickest way to get back to where i should be cos i still got 800 pages! is there a mass delete or do i just chance the origional draft??

If you are using the updated version (1.5 or something NOT 1.3 or whatever) then when you go into the draft that created all the post/pages then there should be a place on the right that says "delete all" - something to that effect.

If for whatever reason that isn't showing up OR you are using the original version then get the bulk delete plugin (it is free) and go through and delete that way. I had issues with it timing out - but keep at it and you'll get most of it deleted. Just make sure you do NOT delete your original draft (OR have it copied elsewhere so you can paste it back in).

What I do when I may have to delete everything - potentially even the draft - I have it all how i want it to be - including the picture and in the html tab I copy everything and paste it into a notepad document. Then I have it ready to be pasted in the html tab when I'm ready. That way I don't have to re-upload the image.

ok this is confusing the hell out of me i think i made a big boo boo cos these 800 pages which have now turn in to over a 1000 are all down as published i just tried the bulk delete and the amount of pages keep going up any thoughs ?? i cant perminantly delete them all cos my main webpages are in there as well so

Hi Jeremy

An idea for creating categories automatically:

It's possible to programmatically create categories in WP (see Function Reference/wp create category « WordPress Codex ).

This return the new category ID if the category was created, or 0 if not (ie, if the category already exists).

If I was coding the capability to create categories, this is how I would do it:

If, for example, I had two shortcodes:

Cities (Abbeville, Adak, Akhiok )
and
States (Alabama, Alaska, Alaska)

(where there is one State entry for each City entry, even if the State has already been used).

Then as the Abbeville page was created, the Alabama category could be created and assigned to the post. As Adak page was created, the Alaska page could be created and assigned to the post. And as the Akhiok page was created, the wp_create_category would return 0 (as the category already exists), and get_cat_ID("Alaska") could be used to get the category ID to assign to the post.

Then we could use {cities} in the post, and {states} in a new field in LPN to indicate the category to use. Or leave that field blank to assign all created posts to the same category in the same way that we can currently.

Any chance something like this could be coded?

Hi all,

A hint for people who have accidentally got URLs that end in -2, -3, -4 etc indexed in google:

1. Install & activate the Redirection plugin.
2. Add a new redirect, with the following settings:

Source URL: /(.*)\-2/
Target URL: /$1/
Match: URL Only
Action: Redirect to URL
Regular expression: checked

Then add other ones where the source URL is:
Source URL: /(.*)\-3/
Source URL: /(.*)\-4/

etc... if required.

That'll redirect any of the -2 URLs to the proper URL. For example:

www.domain.com/keyword-2
to
www.domain.com/keyword

Of course, this assumes that the rest of the URL is identical aside from the -2, -3, etc

At the end of the day, the plugin can and does open doors to several different business models all of which can easily serve as a "primary" income for the person running the business...which is both out of the scope of this thread, and things that should be talked about behind closed doors.

Will this thread remain open, or are you going to close it?

Thank you for the plugin ...set up was very simple, videos excellent to follow but when I completed the set up I did not have but one post.

I looked at the video repeatedly still no solution. Need your help...here were my steps

1) Brought plugin
2) download plugin, upload plugin, activate plugin
3) added short codes Title + <city> enter save
4) Create add new local page, create title and body (seo description)
5) Save draft
6) Build post and pages

Now doing all of those steps only show one post but when I look at my website not through wp admin it states no info found. Please help....thank you for your immediate assistance

I have 1,100 posts on a new domain and have made these posts over 9 days. Some of the posts were unknowingly duplicates. I have removed 400 of them so far.

I went to Google and found myself on page #3.

MY QUESTION: ON THE LAST LINE OF MY AD IT SAYS:

CACHED: BLOCK ALL: WWW.MYDOMAIN.COM RESULTS and gives the surfer the ability to block my results by clicking on that link.

Just 5 days ago I was receiving 80 hits/day to my site and yesterday it was just 4.

Please reply with what's going on here and with a way to get things going again.

It appears as if Google thinks I'm a spammer. Correct??

So, i did it Yesterday

first post, it was a test, and from 39 Cities, 10 are indexed already.
P.S. !!! Usually i use my OWN method to Index my Posts/Pages, and it takes from 5-10 min, and im on Top GOOGLE.
With My Test/Post i didnt did anything, left for itself to see the results.

Now, i want to ask you guys something: I did a lot of Research, to find URL using this "BOMB", and i found one very interestin site. i dont want to share it here, it can be one of your URL guys, so If Jerremy,Don or Anders want to see , Please let me know, and ill share it...
Why im talking about this URL:
Title: ***************** No any {city},{State} !!!

Then when u open that Post, at the Bottom of the Post you find:

I am no techie, but I had a similar problem. Google has indexed a page that you have now deleted and it's giving a 404 not found error. install the plug in "404 to start" and redirect your errors to another page.
See if that works

Google doesn't think you're a spammer

When the spider hits your site, it's chasing the links around, and finding "dead ends"...So, you need to get the 404's out and then send another ping to your sitemap, and you should be good.

The other thing that I'll "caution" about is the amount of posts...Like I said earlier, the tool is cool in the sense that you can put up as many as you want, but my strategy is usually to just get enough up to get the job done, know what I mean?

Thousands of pages/posts in a short period of time, might trigger a second look at your site from big G even if you were publishing pulitzer prize winning original content, so try to keep it as natural as you possibly can....

Pace yourself
If possible, let Google index your posts/pages in "her" own time
Don't start blasting blacklinks - especially early on

Did you tell it to only create the 1 page? Check back over the options, and make sure that you didn't essentially tell the plugin to only build 1 page....that is the only reason i can think of for that to happen.

Our sites and landing pages are basically the way we make money, so to "share" someone elses site isn't something that I personally find acceptable....I wouldn't want to see a flood of people trying to rush in and compete with someone else that you just stumbled upon....

I don't post is WSO threads often. I read this thread last week and it sounded too good to be true. I do a lot in the offline world, so after thinking about it for a few days I went ahead and bought this plugin.

I bought a brand new domain on either Saturday or Sunday and as of Tuesday morning, I have 3 number one rankings and several more on the first page.

Great job guys.

Let me know when the private area opens I want in.

We bought developed license yesterday and very excited as this is the friggin hottest WSO if we can make it work as successfully as some others in this thread.

Question:

What it the best or choice of URL I should try to buy that makes sense with the way the tool works.

I bought my-city-services.com to start to test this Plugin but when I start to lease the sites will I have to buy a new URL for each service:

my-dentist.com
my-painter.com
my-atttorney.com
etc

and use the plugin for each of the cities say 20 cities per URL..then I could lease each one to particular service providers who cover those cities. Then would I have to get more URLs like

my-dentist2.com
my-painter2 com
etc

Then create these sites that are covers by say 20 different cities and so forth.

Is this right or can you tell me the best schema for URLs so I can buy one and use it across many industries or does it work best to have seperate URLS for each niche and use my efforts to promote this individual niche sites.

I'm new here but need a little help/suggestions on the choice of URLs

Thank you and this plugin should be generating huge revenue for the sales dogs out there. I can't wait to get the sites in place and contacting large yellow page advertisers who are not on the first page of Google. I'm thinking of charging at least $995 per month for some of these niches and feel confident I can get it.

Okay, here my my current concern. I'm watching the 20:47 min video and at aprox. the 9 minute mark he is putting {city} {state long} into the title and the same short codes into the body. So does the plugin know not to go down the list and insert city1 in title and city2 in body? i.e. it locks in one city for each post. Then on the next post it moves sequentially down the list.

I would hate to have Denver in the title and Taos as an Image tag and Tijuana in the body.

If you want stuff to be catergorized by domain - then you can do what you said.

If you want to save $$ and just start off with one domain then get something nondescript or generic. You can then either go with categories or add folders ie yourgenericdomain.com/folderforspecificprofession or do subdomains ie; subdomainofspecificprofession.yourgenericdomain.co m

Or like said just have it ALL on your generic domain without breaking it up (though you can add categories for each type of profession). just make sure you exclude pages from navagation or you limit the number of posts per page. You'd do this no matter what though - whether you have it all on the one site or do folders or subdomains.

Yup - whenever you set up a shortcode and name it as and then use the {} in your post - that's ALL it will post - whatever is in that list.

So of course that means that you have to be really careful that you don't put {city1} in one part and then {city2} in the body.

I broke down a large city list into two short codes. Then I created the first draft and used {city1} then copied the draft and had to change out to {city2} to get the next group of cities. You can be darned tootin' I was re-reading that 2nd draft over and over to make SURE I changed all {city1} instances to {city2}. :p

Is there any way to pause a LPN project and come back to it later to complete without hitting draft tab due to fact that will start the posts?

Uh, damn. I SAID I made sure I check everything - but Tilt mentioning images and I realized "Wait, DID I change the shortcodes for image title and alt tag?" So I go to check and NO I did NOT.

What did I do - I just deleted that set of posts, quickly changed my shortcodes to the right one (in the THREE places I didn't change from {city1} to {city2}), saved my draft and rebuilt.

Whew! That could have been ugly. Granted, I AM redirecting these pages with Core Conversions but still I don't want to confuse Google or other search engines.

And total time to fix a mistake over 133 posts - less than a minute.

Could you imagine trying to change 133 posts by HAND, one by one? Blegh. I feel queasy just thinking about it!

Regarding using original ShortCodes for images ...... I did the same and did that to my H2's and went back to do what you just mentioned.

I am taking a methodical slow apprroach to this rather than see if I can build 1 site a day with a 1000 posts.

I do believe there is ample time without any possibility of saturation but working smart from the get go rather than throwing a bunch of crap against the wall to see what sticks just doesn't do it for me......maybe good for others but I'd like to stay as organized as possible since I see how out of hand one can get with this tool.

I have few questions:

1. When deleting posts, is there a trash bin/folder that needs emptying?

2. Dupe post Plugin .... why would anyone use this if you could copy n paste a Draft post.

3. I have images that are linked purposely to my About Us page and everytime I publish a new Draft I end up with emails asking to moderate the Comment which is a ping due to the fact that the post was most likely pinged from being automatically submitted.

How is this circumvented if possible at all.

10 minutes after "Secret Weapon" indexing trick site is now Indexed.

Now I'm really mad, should have done this day one.

Time to go to bed 11:00pm, let Google go to work.

12 hours later while at my Offline business I decide to check to see if any movement, expected to find Nothing, after all, it's been less than 12 hours. Why I even thought it would be anywhere in top 200 SERPs would be insane. Can't believe I'm getting caught up in all the HYPE on WF.

After all, my Offine business Category is in the Top 10 for Google Local Searches, there is NO way in hell this will work and even if it does it will take at least a month and I'd be lucky to be on Page 1 at bottom. Oh well, I'll just build a bunch of sites using this tool and link to my money site, it may push my "money site" up the SERPs, still worth the investment.

Type in 1st keywood (city+category) and hit search.

I start to Tremble, no !#@^&* way is this true. I'm Page One #1, something must truly be wrong. Check keyword number two (city+category) OMG, Page 1 #3.

As of yesterday (Sunday, August 14th) the rankings are virtually the same. It's been less than 5 days since site was indexed.

For all you Newbies and Inexperienced SEO members:

LOL - whatever you do: DON'T PANIC!!!

Same thing happened to me. I was checking a site a while back, and when I saw this I thought BIG G has labelled me as a spammer. The site had 3 (three) posts...

Anyway. They are just trying this new thing to see if they could make out the value of the site from people selecting the results. It doesn't affect your ranking. And:

"The Manage Blocked Sites listing is only available to users who are signed in. Here it is possible to see a listing of all sites that have been blocked. Options are available to unblock sites, manually block a site by entering the url and optionally a reason for blocking, and to download a text file with information about all blocked sites."

That's why you haven't seen it before - also, I believe the Block results only shows if you spent just a few seconds on your mydomain.com site....

1) I just bought Conversions Galore and installed it with my LPN blog.

I have several sites indexed with mydomain.com/tag/kw and they are ranking right now

But I can only put the conversion url to the post which was created mydomain.com/kw

Now here is my question. Did I do something wrong because I have the sites indexed with the /tag/ in between the domain and the kw?

Is there any way I can put there the conversion url as well? Otherwise I can't give the higher ranking to a client.

Hi all,
Another tip that might be worth trying:

1. Set up LPN shortcodes for city
2. Set up LPN shortcodes for state (or county, here in good old Blighty)
3. Put {city} and {state} into tags
4. Set up YARRP to only select posts that share at least one tag.

That way you'll get all the "{city} keyword" or "keyword {city}" posts related to each other, as well as posts from other cities in the same state. Won't help much with Google (I wouldn't have thought). But might help people stay on the site longer as they click on cities near to the one you've listed... which will increase the site's "stickability", and that might influence Google ranking.

Hope someone finds that useful,

Help please - I am doing a post with {keyword} in {city}. The post being created only have the {city} in every second post. I have tried exactly the same thing on a different site and it is doing the same thing. I am a bit perplexed as to why it would work correctly on one post and not the next. I can only assume it is a timing issue with Hostgator.I have even tried doing only one city at a time (there are 22 keywords), but still it does the same thing. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Quick update for everyone on my insurance test site.

Ranking is holding steady on the pages that Google has indexed (more on this at the end).

All longtails are showing on the first page. Many of them in the #1 spot.(anonymized search).

Here's the great news..... In addition to ranking for the longtails, I'm now ranking in the #1 spot for different variations of the search string keywords.

For example, search string of: car insurance now {city} {state} was my test longtails. Domain would have looked like this; carinsurancenow dot com {city} {state}
Now I'm ranking for 'vehicle' 'truck' 'motorcycle' etc. insurance now {city}, and more often if I include {state}. These were the tags that I used and they were not shortcoded. And when I say ranking I mean first page if not #1. This is not a real domain just an example.

Now, Google indexed a good chunk of the site on the date that I last posted my results, maybe a week ago. But, no matter what I do I cannot get Google to come back and finish indexing. I have many cities that start with A,B,C and D that remain unindexed. Did a sitewide link check and only had one 404 that related to comments being turned off.

Any ideas?

Mark, I might be missing something here or that was only an example. Have you actually tried to rank for keyword phrase including the domain name?

Or were you just showing that tags that are NOT short-coded might appear and rank in search anyways?

Delete the plugin from your site.

Redownload the pluging from the local ninja site.

Reinstall and it will match the site.

I did the same thing the first time I tried it.

Thomas, was really just making the point that the tags as well as our city state shortcodes were being picked up by Google. And, if used in a search string a good chance that our sites will be there on the first page.

The domain I picked has 4 keywords in it, an EMD with 210.000 Local searches a month.

Mostly I was surprised that I'm now ranking keywords that I never planned on, at least not this fast.

I'm really looking forward to talking to a client and having them enter a few different natural searches and having my site show up #1, that is as long as they enter the city and a couple of the keywords in the root domain. And if they enter a state they'll see even more #1s.

It's been rather satisfying to enter search strings and have my sites show up so high.

For the examples that you used, 'in' would be much closer to what I have.

Another thing, the sites that I'm beating are very well constructed and are targeting the exact search phrases that I am, where as I'm just targeting a small segment of this very competitive niche, they are targeting the entire United States and have obviously spent a large sum on their websites and SEO. I'm even beating by a wide margin the .com equivalent of my domain who is doing almost the exact thing that we are doing .......... Go figure............... I'm Happy!

Yes LPN will work for Sniper sites. I'm positive that the subject and question has come up several times.

Use the 'Search this Thread' feature at the top of this page under the page numbers, and type in 'sniper' and then try 'affiliate'

This return the new category ID if the category was created, or 0 if not (ie, if the category already exists). If I was coding the capability to create categories, this is how I would do it: If, for example, I had two shortcodes: Cities (Abbeville, Adak, Akhiok ) and States (Alabama, Alaska, Alaska) (where there is one State entry for each City entry, even if the State has already been used). Then as the Abbeville page was created, the Alabama category could be created and assigned to the post. As Adak page was created, the Alaska page could be created and assigned to the post. And as the Akhiok page was created, the wp_create_category would return 0 (as the category already exists), and get_cat_ID("Alaska") could be used to get the category ID to assign to the post. Then we could use {cities} in the post, and {states} in a new field in LPN to indicate the category to use. Install & activate the Redirection plugin. 2. Add a new redirect, with the following settings: Source URL: /(.)\-2/ Target URL: /$1/ Match: URL Only Action: Redirect to URL Regular expression: checked Then add other ones where the source URL is: Source URL: /(.)\-3/ Source URL: /(.*)\-4/ etc... if required. That'll redirect any of the -2 URLs to the proper URL. P.S. !!! Usually i use my OWN method to Index my Posts/Pages, and it takes from 5-10 min, and im on Top GOOGLE. With My Test/Post i didnt did anything, left for itself to see the results. Read Next: When you open 1 of the states Post, at the Bottom of the Page you can see again: Regional Articles here are listed already ONLY CITIES FROM STATE YOU CHOOSED ! But on URL i found, you can See Only The Original Posts, and at the Bottom you can Regional Articles , and here you See Same Post for All States > Next you can see Same Post for Cities from State you Choose... Question: What it the best or choice of URL I should try to buy that makes sense with the way the tool works. I bought my-city-services.com to start to test this Plugin but when I start to lease the sites will I have to buy a new URL for each service: my-dentist.com my-painter.com my-atttorney.com etc and use the plugin for each of the cities say 20 cities per URL..then I could lease each one to particular service providers who cover those cities. Then would I have to get more URLs like my-dentist2.com my-painter2 com etc Then create these sites that are covers by say 20 different cities and so forth. Is this right or can you tell me the best schema for URLs so I can buy one and use it across many industries or does it work best to have seperate URLS for each niche and use my efforts to promote this individual niche sites. I'm new here but need a little help/suggestions on the choice of URLs Thank you and this plugin should be generating huge revenue for the sales dogs out there. I can't wait to get the sites in place and contacting large yellow page advertisers who are not on the first page of Google. I'm thinking of charging at least $995 per month for some of these niches and feel confident I can get it. Thank you

I'm watching the 20:47 min video and at aprox. the 9 minute mark he is putting {city} {state long} into the title and the same short codes into the body. So does the plugin know not to go down the list and insert city1 in title and city2 in body? i.e. it locks in one city for each post. Then on the next post it moves sequentially down the list. I would hate to have Denver in the title and Taos as an Image tag and Tijuana in the body.

I did the same and did that to my H2's and went back to do what you just mentioned. I am taking a methodical slow apprroach to this rather than see if I can build 1 site a day with a 1000 posts. I do believe there is ample time without any possibility of saturation but working smart from the get go rather than throwing a bunch of crap against the wall to see what sticks just doesn't do it for me......maybe good for others but I'd like to stay as organized as possible since I see how out of hand one can get with this tool. I have few questions: 1. When deleting posts, is there a trash bin/folder that needs emptying? 2. Dupe post Plugin .... why would anyone use this if you could copy n paste a Draft post. 3. I have images that are linked purposely to my About Us page and everytime I publish a new Draft I end up with emails asking to moderate the Comment which is a ping due to the fact that the post was most likely pinged from being automatically submitted. How is this circumvented if possible at all. Thanks in advance.

I have several sites indexed with mydomain.com/tag/kw and they are ranking right now But I can only put the conversion url to the post which was created mydomain.com/kw Now here is my question. Did I do something wrong because I have the sites indexed with the /tag/ in between the domain and the kw? Is there any way I can put there the conversion url as well? Set up LPN shortcodes for city 2. Set up LPN shortcodes for state (or county, here in good old Blighty) 3. Put {city} and {state} into tags 4. Set up YARRP to only select posts that share at least one tag. That way you'll get all the "{city} keyword" or "keyword {city}" posts related to each other, as well as posts from other cities in the same state. Won't help much with Google (I wouldn't have thought). But might help people stay on the site longer as they click on cities near to the one you've listed... which will increase the site's "stickability", and that might influence Google ranking. Hope someone finds that useful, Andy

The post being created only have the {city} in every second post. I have tried exactly the same thing on a different site and it is doing the same thing. I am a bit perplexed as to why it would work correctly on one post and not the next. I can only assume it is a timing issue with Hostgator.I have even tried doing only one city at a time (there are 22 keywords), but still it does the same thing. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Ranking is holding steady on the pages that Google has indexed (more on this at the end). All longtails are showing on the first page. Many of them in the #1 spot.(anonymized search). Here's the great news..... In addition to ranking for the longtails, I'm now ranking in the #1 spot for different variations of the search string keywords. For example, search string of: car insurance now {city} {state} was my test longtails. Domain would have looked like this; carinsurancenow dot com {city} {state} Now I'm ranking for 'vehicle' 'truck' 'motorcycle' etc. insurance now {city}, and more often if I include {state}. These were the tags that I used and they were not shortcoded. And when I say ranking I mean first page if not #1. This is not a real domain just an example. Now, Google indexed a good chunk of the site on the date that I last posted my results, maybe a week ago. But, no matter what I do I cannot get Google to come back and finish indexing. I have many cities that start with A,B,C and D that remain unindexed. Did a sitewide link check and only had one 404 that related to comments being turned off. Any ideas? Mark
