Great Job, as far as i understand, you use a simple WP template to Rank this Domain ? and after, you'll just change it ? Thanks for sharing you experiment with longtails. Greg

If you want the answer directly from us, you need to use the help desk, which I've posted throughout the thread: SuperMarketingPro Support Ticket System Although, looking through, i don't see many questions (if any) that havn't been answered FOR ANYONE.... |

My advice is to stop what you're doing...start over, with the video in the download area as your guide. If you follow that video step by step, you can't go wrong.

2. Any chance all of your domains are on the same ip and Gargle has noticed a pattern? 3. Any chance Goober can tell when people are rank checking the same domains frequently? And wonders WTF? 4. This space for FAQ's As a aside, Back in the day a well known retailer had spies on a forum which shall remain nameless.

Still waiting for the indexing to hit but anxious to see the results once it does. Some have reported 12 hour turnaround - It's been about 48 for me and I've done all I could in terms of pings and RSS burning. Kinda feel like the kid missing out on the fun because he can't find the park, hehe! |

Jeremy, I hate to be an asshole right off the bat in my first post, but I'd like to request the private community start immediately. This thread has turned into a support thread. Friends, if you have bought this plugin, and have a problem EMAIL SUPPORT. I had issues, and they had a solution very quickly. If you're a noob. Email support. If you have issues. Email support. If you want a refund and want to be told to pound sand. Email support. If your hosting sucks ass. Email support. It's right Here: SuperMarketingPro Support Ticket System If you've bought this plugin, and don't have a clue about seo. Go buy an ebook. For everyone else. LPN was supposed to be in the closing stages this morning, and more expensive last night. Find yourself lucky. It's in the discussion phase of being unavailable, per Jeremy. I have specific questions I'd like to ask, but I'm not asking them here. To start the community, in my opinion, we need a Support Thread, a What the Hell Thread, and a Don't Worry Thread. I'm MORE than willing to wrestle the bull when it comes to setting up the forum. But for the best interest of all paying customers, the open forum needs to be shut down at WF. It's too much b.s. to sift through to find answers. Catch ya laters. T |

Yup, I'm completely infected with LPN fever. At work tonight, I was jotting down ideas on how to use the plug in for physical stuff (ie trying to think of products that have a lot of different makes/models/colors). Which then brought up a question of best way to set up Amazon pages when the product changes per "post" (with model numbers and such). Anyhoo, if anyone has a good answer, great. If not or this isn't the place, I'll wait until the private forum is opened. Still...you know you're addicted when you can't stop thinking of ways to use it and are brainstorming at work. ![]() Stacy |

![]() the thing is this...On this forum $67 might as well be $500 - Do you know how many "make $10,000 in 2 days ebooks can be bought with $67?".... You could literally post an offer for $67, with the Guarantee that you would paypal them back $100 within 30 minutes, and they would still buy the Pipe dream, because it sounded better. The point I'm trying to make is that sales are either extremely slow or non existant...so at this point, it's the 'core group" and maybe a new guy every now and again ![]() This thread will stay open until we get back from Miami which will be a few days, because we don't want anyone to get lost in the shuffle or be hung out to dry

When we go private, it would probably be a good decision to use our help desk for any support issues that you might have, which to be honest, is what we've asked from the beginning, but because we had Big hombre, MisterE, SubPrime, Tiger, and a few others that were excited and interested enough to answer questions and help others out when they could, we kind of just let it go. With that being said, when the 'sale is over' we won't be checking this thread very often, however our help desk is always available for reasonable questions that pertain directly to the tool.

Latinwarrior - 1. Yes that would be correct. 2. Write another draft about realtors and you can use those same short codes if you are targeting those same cities. The shortcodes are good for as many niches/articles you want to post. 3. Yes, you can redirect to any page you want. So it can be a client's website, an affiliate offer, a cpa offer, amazon site, facebook page, another page within your own blog/site. Stacy

It's clear this tool annihilates competition in local cities, that much has been proven. If anyone has had similar success with what Tiger66466 suggested like product codes/names - that would be another dimension altogether. |

![]() The rest of this isn't specifically towards you Greg, but it kind of fits in with what you were saying there... What we had for sale here, was/is a tool...it wasn't a method, it wasn't a course, it wasn't and isn't a how to type of deal....the kind of support that we expected to provide were download issues, malfunctions of the plugin, and installation issues. I'm going to list below the most common questions that are coming to the help desk followed by the number of times they have been asked over the past 3 days since we brought on another full time support person to handle certain kinds of questions. What kind of domain should I buy X 17 Is .info just as good as .com or .net X 8 How much should I rent my site for? X 21 How much should I flip my site for? X 14 Why isn't my site indexed Yet? X 22 What spinner should I use? X11 ...and that doesn't count a whole gaggle of other questions that don't relate directly to the tool or the way it functions. Nor does it take into account that when someone asks... "what kind of domain should I buy?" and the support desk replies "The domain that you get should represent the market and potential clients that you are targeting" That the same person replies back with: "Can you look at these 20 domains and tell me which one is the best?" "Does it matter If I use spaces in the domain or not?" "Should it have the keywords in or or should it be general" OR "Should I include the whole state or just the abbreviation" We are trying to provide the best support possible, but at the end of the day, we have "other" businesses to run, and we've found ourselves bogged down giving SEO lessons, Domain buying tips, and general marketing advice for a huge percentage of our day, which we generally don't mind doing, but it's to the point where people think that we "owe" them hours of our time because they bought a Tool from us - A tool that I should mention functions just as it was advertised to function...which is another reason that we are leaning heavily towards going private. ...That might sound harsh, but try sending random software makers support questions like: "Which one of these keywords should I pick for my domain" "how many backlinks will I need to rank for this keyword" OR "This keyword has 2000 inanchor results 1700 intitle and the first place site on Google has 1,200 backlinks, how long will it take me to get to the first page?" Then send them 4 more follow ups when they do answer you, THEN tell them what scammers they are, and how much they suck because they didn't reply back to your 15th unrelated question within 24 hours... We want to support the TOOL the absolute best we can, but in order for us to do that, we are going to have to start drawing a line at what we will and won't answer, and why I think that the private community is looking more and more like the way to go.

Don't worry. I will. I understand you may have loyalties, but when you actually show results as opposed to blabbing about it for 3 pages per post, then you'll get respect. I have the plugin. So I'll know within days whether it really works or not. And I'll make it public. talk soon, T P.S. Donkey. I'm not calling you out. Also, I've spent the better part of the past 30 hours straight to get the plugin to work properly on my server (s) - to no fault of the plugin creators. So the tech questions here irk me when there is a full support ticket at a customers disposal. I used it successfully. You can too. With that said, there's a wealth of information in this thread. Albeit, it would be better served for customers and members to interact without "does this plugin work with sitebuilder" type questions taking up more than half of each of the 46 pages already here. If this is going to be the mastermind forum for LPN, at least show some respect and use the support system if your plugin isn't working properly. And if you're not sure about seo, then go buy an ebook. It really is that simple.

This is something you might get value from just in case you want to check your {city} or other lists for duplicates, which I highly recommend, as it is one more way to eliminate duplicate post problems. Or if like me you find yourself melding lists together to get a complete one. List Scrubber- Remove duplicates and bad characters from keywords, email lists, and moreis a free online list scrubber that does a decent job of taking out duplicates, blank spaces, alphabetizing etc... Dale. |

I've just set something up with UK town and county. You just need to make sure that for each city, you have a matching line with it's state. So, if my US geography is correct, you'd have two LPN shortcodes set up like this: CITIES: Miami Los Angeles San Francisco Houston Sacramento STATES: Florida California California Texas California etc Hope that helps, Andy

#1: Yes. Go to your posts view, you'll see near the top of the page a count of the trashed posts. Click on that, and then you'll see an "empty trash" button. Use that. If you don't, you could end up with -2, -3, -4, etc added to the end of the permalinks, which will get indexed by google. If this happens, see one of my earlier posts for how to redirect these back to the proper page. #2: Not sure. #3: There's are two options in the standard WP "discussions" settings: "Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article." and "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.) ". The first is outbound pings from your content to other blogs (including your own), the second is about inbound links (including from your own). Feel free to disable either/both of these, depending on what you want to accomplish overall. Hope that helps, Andy

What? No happy ending too? Geeze. For my $27, I don't want just INSTANT RICHES, GUARANTEED... but I want them retroactive to before I was born so my FREAKIN' GRANDPARENTS are filthy rich before I'm ever a twinkle in Daddy's eye. Is that too much to ask? Across-the-board first-page ranking for all my freakin' keywords should be easy then, too, since the Internet hasn't even been imagined yet! AWESOME!

Re-posted for the last handful of noobs to the LPN thread... LPN BEST PRACTICES & FLOATING "FAQ" ADD TO IT AND HELP EVERYONE (BUT READ FIRST, PLEASE!). This was originated by MisterE and it's still "his baby." I (Big Hombre) have truncated some of his original post on the whys of this. If you want to see that, consult post #1582. Everyone is free (and encouraged) to add to the Floating FAQ with posts or portions thereof that you think should be here. Use the multi-quote tool or cut-and-paste. Either way, select the info you've posted and hit the BOLD B for easier reference to the info. The important stuff. In order for this to work, you must find the last posting of this BEST PRACTICES post to quote and add to. Otherwise it will end as nothing more than SPAM! YOU MUST DELETE THE QUOTE TAGS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE PREVIOUS POST AND THE END OF THE PREVIOUS POST! BEFORE POSTING YOUR INFO! THEY LOOK LIKE THIS: [/QUOT E] & [QUOT E=MisterE;4411581] ***An alternative method is to simply Select (CTRL-A) the Floating Faqs content and Copy (CTRL-C), then Paste (CTRL-V) into a new post. Videos and the latest version of the plugin are found there. If you want to be sure you have the latest version of LPN from your Dashboard, go to Local Pages plugin > Licensing > "Check for Updates" and click. I discovered two different rank tracking plugins for Wordpress. I'm surprised nobody is talking about them. I will be trying one or both out shortly, but I thought I'd give a head's up to everybody here since it seems like this is now a real issue for all of us. Many of the tools mentioned here are good (if not great), but some are very expensive and most require you to boot up an app and go back and forth between your site(s) and the tool. What's really cool about these plugins is the promise of making the job a lot easier. You can work right from within WP—to which I say "COOL!" Website Rank Tracker Free for 5 keywords. $14.95/mo. after that. Looks powerful but haven't tried. Have tried. Doesn't work. Developer is re-working it, so please ignore for now. Rank Tracker Plugin This is a $29 plugin, but it's got what looks like some killer features (not to mention testimonials). Unfortunately, is a "passive" plugin. It only tracks pages that are getting traffic, so this is not much help with a new blog. Big Hombre Added - As some of you who have been following this thread and the Floating FAQ know, I've been looking at various tracking solutions that don't cost as much as the dev team's recommended solution (SEO Powersuite). I'm really liking Rank Tracker plugin, BTW, but as I indicated in the FAQ it's not a proactive solution (i.e. it only records data as traffic actually hits your site). Website Rank Tracker, another plugin, is a total non-starter. Tried it and it's a bust. I should also note that Easy WP SEO plugin has some excellent metrics too. But it, like Rank Tracker plugin, is passive. I've tried about a dozen other "solutions" since that time, including the SEOBook RankTracker plugin for Firefox. I like it, but it's slow and--at least for me--buggy and unreliable. As for other solutions, in some cases I can't test them because I'm on Mac and I won't run PC software in emulation. I will have to get a PC soon, for this reason and for others... If people want more detail on my "ranking solution" odyssey, let me know: I can do a post. So what did I conclude? Well, the solution I was looking for (at least until I can afford SEO PowerSuite) was right under my nose the whole time. That being, Market Samurai! It's what the screen shot was made in. You simply plugin your general site URL and the keywords you're going after, and MS tells you what (if any) pages are ranking for said keywords. For those that might be interested, MS is based on Adobe Air, so it is 100% cross platform. It also has a free trial. MisterE: Rankerizer by Brad & Matt Callen - Currently free through this WSO Thread Pupster: What ranking tool are you using for those 1000's of keywords. Jeremy Said - I'm not sure what he's using, but anyone that is planning on presenting reports to clients etc as far as updates, should take a look at Rank Tracker from the SEO Power Suite. I'm not an affiliate for it, but it handles TONS OF KEYWORDS very quickly, and the reports that it spits out are very professional. it will tell you how many keywords changed positions, how many went up, how many went down, how many broke into the top 100, how many new ones are on the first page, etc, etc, etc...and it will do all of that for all 3 major search engines, and give you a professional report labeled with your name or company info to hand over to clients. It's not the cheapest solution in the world, but even if you get one client...Just one, it will pay for itself many times over. Kuhndawg's private Rank Tracker Setup video http://www.you tube.com/watch?v=DuVfy3skklQ ****Remove The Space Between You and Tube To View The Video**** MontyPlums suggested: Gonna chime in here with another Rank Tracker plugin that I currently use. SEO Rank Reporter This may be the WP plugin we're all looking for. It's free and tracks/graphs your Google rankings on a 3 day basis. Actually, it's not. It doesn't "find" rankings on it's own. You would have to plugin in each page and the keyword(s) it's build around individually. Can you say "Yikes!"? This plugin would probably work well for a conventional site where you are not creating tons of content quickly. It definitely will not work for LPN sites. #3 Jody_W SEOBook.com also has a nice Firefox addon, which is also free: Keyword Rank Checking Software & Rank Tracker Tools: SEO Book.com What I like about it is that you just load up your domain name and your keywords and it does the rest. You don't have to deal with the individual pages. It returns the url for any pages that are ranking for the particular keyword. #4 Big Hombre Quoting myself here not because I'm necessarily in love with my own ideas (really!), but because others seemed to find the following helpful. The strategy I'm currently following is to: A) Create Categories and Posts around my main and general keywords to give the site some permanent "weight", e.g. "plumbing," "plumbing in los angeles," "plumbing services la", etc. Let keyword volume and common sense be your guide. B) Create Pages using LPN for main keyword + local neighborhoods/cities: e.g. "plumber los angeles," "plumber hollywood," "plumber beverly hills," etc. C) Create Pages using LPN around narrow niches: e.g. "unclog sink los angeles." This assumes (having not done any KW research for this) that there is some volume of traffic (either in general or specific to the city) for "unclog sink." If you do this, you'll cover all the bases and look like an authority site. But bear in mind, I'm new to this plugin, so I can't speak from great authority as to whether this is a good strategy. It seems to be in line with what Jeremy et all are recommending. Your results will undoubtedly vary. #5 Jeremy Kelsall (Should probably be #1) There are several ways to monetize... You can sell advertising space You can sell the sites to local businesses You can set the sites up and broker leads you can set the sites up, and once they start to rank, put adsense on them. you can set the sites up, and then use something like our core conversions plugin to display some sort of CPA offer You can use the results as an "in" to get consulting and SEO work from local business. You can "rent or lease" the sites ...and that's just off the top of my head... Webmarket: #547 For those people who are worried about having a site full of virtually identical pages here are a couple of ideas for producing unique content in advance of the spintax update. 1. Use the Related RSS Plugin to give you unique but related news content targeting your chosen city on the sidebar of each post. 2. Use Plugin Creator Pro to insert unique content onto the bottom of each post. These are just a couple of ideas and I'm sure many of you will be able to think of others. An afterthought - you could also think about using Mike Johnson's WP Spin Wordpress Spinner Stretch44: Ok, so after a solid 5 hours of sleep and reading a handful of more pages in this thread, I think I might have a "handle" on this. 1 - With a domain name that can give you some flexibility, you can create a 150 - 300 word content post or page that you can save as a "draft" within the plugin. 2 - That draft can be pointed at many different geo-specific areas, however the content is the same for each location, except for the actual location that people are searching for. 3 - If the local business you are trying to rank for draws from a 50 mile radius, it would be more advantageous to use city/town names in conjunction with the "niche business" that are in that specific area. 4 - You can write different content for different aspects of the business (such as different services, products, etc...) and use sub domain modifiers so that the posts or pages are different than the post or page that you've created previously (these are new pages/posts not edits of previous p/p). 5 - If you're doing this for a company with different locations regionally, it would be necessary to have one phone number for the main office of the business and they would direct the customer to the location closest to them. 6 - This plugin can be used for building a presence in the search engines that only requires content once, geared toward promoting one business in several locations. 7 - Once a business decides they'd like the kind of exposure that you can give them, in their target area, you can go back into the draft and edit it by putting in information specific to the business that wants the exposure. Jeremy said: We set up 2 examples.... One of them would lean more towards a lead gen type site for offline businesses, the other serves as a gateway of sorts for CPA offers. You could also target professional markets, and put adsense on the sites. You could also take the pages/posts that rank well and rent/lease them to businesses. You could also take the sites that do well and sell them to brick and mortars. you could use the functionality of the plugin to target niches that are more conducive to things like ebooks - Relationships, debt, dog training, etc... the possibilities are really unlimited. Nycwriter: Another way to solve that "duplicate posts on the homepage" problem is to just change the settings under "Writing" to allow only one post to show on the homepage at a time. The rest of the posts are then "underneath" the first one, so it doesn't look repetitive to users when they first get there. Doing it this way still makes it complicated to navigate to all the posts, your better off just doing pages and not having the links to other pages on the nav bar For the permalinks......they are at the top of each individual page editing section Make sure you send another sitemap into google though if you mess with the page's urls. You could also, just change the title in the draft to just "{city}" and have your settings so that your pages are automatically labeled as www.yoursite.com/#postname# here are the examples wordpress will give you in automatically setting your urls, so that you dont have to change every single one. When you save and the new post are created, go and check a post and it will pass the grade to it. IMWhip: I don't know if I did something wrong or if using a sub-domain is hurting my rankings. After I purchased local page ninja on the 25th, the following day I put up a site using a sub-domain just to test and see how long it would take to get high rankings and how many 1st page rankings. It took about 6 days before my site even got indexed even though I pinged it and submitted an rss feed, I didn't want to spend to much time or money for backlinks on a test site. When I go to google to check it's indexing I am only showing 3 results. I notice on your delawaredentistx.com site you are showing 10 pages of results. Now I did 71 cities and I used pages not posts, does it take time to get all the pages indexed? Should I have used posts? I know this isn't an SEO product but could you give a little advice, I am getting bummed out reading all the successes (not that I am not happy for other folks) but I am frustrated. I haven't used the updated plugin yet until I figure this out first.I see there is a new upgrade coming out, is this a paid upgrade or part of the first purchase? Don (Zerofill) Replied - My opinion... Use posts... they will always get indexed faster. Wordpress automatically pings, and many bots know a wordpress blog and will crawl the /feed automatically (RSS Feed) etc... Make sure the Google XML sitemap plugin is installed They really just index themselves after that. Pages are often way slower on a blog for getting indexed though. When we use pages we really only use them for: Contact Us Disclaimer Terms of Service About Us Type pages... Donp: I just read through 28 pages of questions, answers and comments and I would say that you 3 have the "patience of Job." I had a bunch of questions at first but after reading through here I have had most of them answered, some of them multiple, multiple, times. Same questions over and over. Come on people…take the time to read. So... I though instead of asking a question I would see if this would help someone having trouble with the should I use post or page question/problem; 1. Use post's, Google will index them faster. Pages in wordpress are not designed to be used in the way this plugin works. 2. Google indexes posts NOT websites. Creating a post for the keyword "{city} Painless Dentist" Will not matter if the copy is a duplicate. Each post will stand on its own. (We’ll look at spinning the post below) 3. Build the wordpress site just like you would any site you are trying to get ranked on. Have a contact page, a privacy page and an about page. 4. Add related articles that are not published through the Ninja plugin. Use the word press plugin "sticky post order" to place these on top of the posts that were created with the Ninja plugin. Set up five or six posts and order them with "sticky post plugin", then in post widgets limit the number of post shown to the same number. 5. If you have SEO Pressor, use it. Make sure you have CMS Post Control installed first, then create a “draft” post and then optimize it. Do this before you think about spinning it. Creating a post in this way will force you to create a post that will have a better chance of getting ranked. For those of you asking why your post/pages are not indexed you should look at your content and did you follow proven seo methods, h1,h2, keyword density etc. etc. not the plugin for answers. 6.If you are in the “need to spin” camp, spin away if you want or feel it’s necessary, however be aware that a badly spun article won't convert anyone to your product or service. If you are trying to get a business owner to pay you to advertize on the site think of their reaction to a poorly written article. 7. Slow down with this thing. This plugin could be a game changer for a lot of people. However with people talking about thousands of badly spun pages of content pasted on sites all over the web it makes me think you haven’t got a clue about what internet marketing is. People… quit thinking short term! Optimumex: Note to LPN users who spin their titles. Keep in mind the current version of LPN uses the title in the url. Which means if you've created a bunch of posts/pages with a draft, then realize you want to make a change, you'd delete the pages made with that draft and build the pages again. And as long as you didn't change the title, it would appear as if you just updated the posts/pages. No harm no foul. Now that the titles are spinnable, it potentially changes the title - plus the url - every time you hit the build button. So unless we're graced with the ability to edit the url in an LPN draft (as we can in regular posts/pages) be careful when spinning the titles, unless you know you won't need to make changes to your posts/pages. Otherwise you'll end up with a bunch of "page not found" errors if you delete posts/pages then build them again. LPN Version 1.5.1 Is Released, On, Or About August 4th, 2011 Purpleman: Can I ask how you found the update in WP. I have not been able to find any update to 1.51 or see any notification...thanks in advance! The plugin automatically checks every 24 hrs for updates. Kab1973: Just wanted to post an issue I had that Andres solved through the support desk. Maybe it will help someone else. Thanks for the fast response time Andres. 1 1/2 hour wait time is incredibly awesome support in my book. Thanks! I kept getting a 30 second timeout error and the plugin would only publish a portion of my 70 keyword shortcode list. A little over 60 posts I believe. I was hoping to get a better result with HostGator shared hosting. Andres said it was due to me spinning the article. (Only spun at the sentence level not synonym levels...so nothing major.) Took away the spintax and the plugin published a 579 keyword list without a hitch! IMWhip: Just a quick question on checking site ranking. My site got indexed a few days ago, I have 62 results. I have checked a number of them in rank tracker but none of them are in the top 100. I have 570 posts/cities and an additional 75 pages/cities. Is there a way in rank tracker to check the rankings on all of these without have to use each city as a keyword, does that make sense? Right now I am manually inputting main keyword with different city. I am using the free version of rank tracker. Can one of you help me out, I know this is not as related to the plugin itself, but in order to use it to it's fullest potential I need to know why I am not getting any high rankings. I see a lot of success stories here as far as many high rankings, so I am a little concerned I am doing something wrong. I am using WP SEO Beast by Prashant Sharma and getting a score of 9.5 out of 10 for on-page SEO. Please let me know if you can help Create a master city list (txt file) template. You can use any spreadsheet program and paste in city/st or whatever and add "keyword" column wherever you want, before CITY or after. Copy and paste into notepad++, remove any empty spaces. I created 2 master templates one for "city KW" and one "KW city". Now use find and replace with the KW of choice and save as KWcity file or whatever it is. Now when you go to rank tracker or Traffic Travis just paste them all in. Zerofill: But on a side note... this isn't rocket science. Many people are way over analyzing and having analysis paralysis in this thread. Jeremy Replied: Quoted FOR TRUTH!!! We can't tell you what kind of domain name is best for you, it really just depends on what you are trying to do...Just like we can't tell you how many words your content should be, whether you should use images, or how many posts/pages you should use... it really just boils down to what you are trying to do. Pmc2001: Food for thoughts my fellow warriors, make sure you are not logged in your google account when you are doing searches for your keywords. It can be quite deceiving because Google will show your link when you are logged in the first page and in actuality you are not. Just be aware...use this plugin wisely and it will take care of you. Marcolav: out of 270 pages created, Google is only showing 12, anybody has any explanation to that? It just means they haven't been indexed yet. You can ping your sitemap.xml, submit your rss feed to feed directories, or just hang tight, most of the time google will eventually index your pages. Do you have a sitemap created? IMWhip: Quick Q? You mention to maybe get indexed quicker with a new site something about RSS Feed, could you elaborate. How is this done? Or do you have somewhere you could send me. I am not sure how to implement. I would appreciate it. You can find your sites rss feed here: www.whateveryoursiteis.com/feed - You can take that url and submit it to rss aggregators, which could get you spidered and indexed a little quicker. What I like to do is use a service like linkliscious - I can take all the url's to my pages/posts, submit it there and it will kind of mash the url's up into seperate rss feeds and then ping them for me. The service that I use is a "paid for" type deal where I pay a monthly fee, but there are a ton of solutions out there for free pinging and some very cheap solutions for RSS submissions if you wanted to automate the process. With that being said though - Don't be in a rush. I spent time pinging and submitting rss feeds because I wanted to use that site as an example, and I was putting it up 2 days before this went live, so I needed to try to "hurry" the process along Even without doing any of those things, your content will still get indexed, etc, and honestly, unless you are automating it somehow, your time is probably better spent either setting up new domains, writing content, or contacting potential clients...just my opinion. Eddie J: Just ran across something pretty cool. Some of you are already using it I'm sure but I thought I'd share. I am spinning content and then creating multiple posts for all of my shortcodes. These drafts are the same and plugging in all the AIOSEO stuff was getting tiresome. I thought that it'd be cool if they had a plugin that clones a POST so that all you have to do is change the {city 4} to {city 5}. Well, they do and it's working like a champ. It's pretty easy to use too for noobs like me. It's called Duplicate Post. After you install it, just go to one of the drafts in Local Pages and scroll over the title. You will see the normal, Edit, Quick Edit, Trash, and Preview...but now there is also the option to Duplicate. I think you'll like it if your strategy is like mine. The link is WordPress › Duplicate Post « WordPress Plugins KWall: I'm not very knowledgeable about the technical aspects, so I wanted to ask you if I was to target small businesses in my local area, and if their site is not on Wordpress, would this tool not work? If not, would I then need to build them a new site using WP in order to utilize this tool? I've seen where you've said that it would work on new and existing sites, so wanted to clear this up. A lot of times... most times actually we don't even use this on actual client sites. We build the sites and are basically selling the rankings to them. 1) Add their information to the ranking posts with phone numbers, links to their sites etc. 2) Display their sites in our Core Conversion plugin on the pages that are ranking... This is a wordpress plugin though. It only works on self hosted wordpress sites. It will not work on anything that isn't wordpress based. However you can do one of the options above... You can sell the site to them and let them do whatever they want with it, or maintain it for them for a fee, etc... Build them a new wordpress blog from scratch for their niche/business. Build your own CPA/Amazon/Affiliate sites... Build lead capture sites and sell the leads... Man... friggin uses for this thing are endless... we haven't even used it in some of the ways we have in mind yet lol. Purpleman87: Just an update for 1 of my sites. I had not seen indexing for 4-5 days and was becoming concerned...today BAM! Out of 346 posts 84 are on page 1 and 8 are in the #1 spot. All of these cities have a population greater than 1000 people. Some of this is trial and error as to the steps. Here's what I did for this site. I'm sure others have a better system but direction like this would have been helpful to me when starting out...so here ya go 1. Set homepage to show 1 post 2. WP-CMS Post Control (disable autosave) 3. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (default) 4. All in one SEO (basic) 5. Google XML Sitemaps (default) 6. Create all standard pages (contact/privacy/disclaimer) +AIOSEO title/desc for each 7. install Local Pages Ninja 8. create shortcode - add local page -Write post - save draft - create posts 9. ping sitemap at pingsitemap dot com 10. ping main url to pingfarm dot com Waynzworld69: 1. In order to track my rankings I downloaded the free Rank Tracker. I have created 1,100 posts. How do I download my keywords that I have created I want to track? For example: dog training minneapolis, dog training rochester, etc. I log into my Wordpress back office and I don't see a way to do this. 2. I have a new domain. Is it possible to make too many posts too fast and then I get sand boxed, or doesn't that happen with this plugin? What would be the max number of posts per day/week that I should do per each new domain? 3. In regards to building a list of cities/states to import into short codes. I downloaded Notepad++ as specified. Then I typed into Google: 200 most populated US cities and downloaded that list. It had other columns of info I didn't need so I deleted each of those by copying, then deleting. Then I tried to import those 200 cities into Notepad++ so I could remove the underlines of the cities and with no luck. Then I just pasted cities into an email and edited from there. It took longer than it should have, but it still worked. Any tips to get this done easier and faster would be greatly appreciated!! 1) hopefully you have a sitemap installed. go to the sitemap and copy all the data, all columns is ok. Open Msft Excel. past the data into excel. It should split it into individual columns. then copy the first column (or whatever column has the urls) and paste that list of urls into notepad++. what you are going to do now is a high-lite and replace to get ride of the url aspects and leave keywords. high-lite a character such as a dash between words and then hit "Ctrl H" to bring up the replace tool. you will see your high-lited text in the top box. click into the bottom box and hit the space bar once. then hit the replace all button. What this will do is replace all hyphens with a space (there by making all your words) continue to do this for any other characters you need to remove. If you are trying to get rid of something at the beginning of the url like "http://" do the high-lite and ctrl H but leave the replacement blank...since you dont want an empty space at the beginning of your keyword. Continue doing this until you have removed all extra mess and are left with just your keywords. 2)No idea on this question. Actually pushing my site to the max right now...worried about this one myself. 3) Copy and paste data into excel. keep in mind if it is a csv file or a text file you can open it via excel and have other options as well more than when you simply paste data in. Once you can possibly remove some extra columns this way and are left with just keywords copy and paste into Notepad++ to make any other edits needed to clean it up (refer to point 1 above). I know this is long and confusing but I have found that excel mixed with notepad++ is epic and i have learned to manipulate any sort of data in any way i want really. Its great. Erinbro: I am now at the point where I would like to start leasing out these pages - if anyone has any recommendations on the best way to approach potential clients it would be much appreciated. I find that emails don't get opened, direct mail gets tossed out, and it is hard to find the right person to talk to if you cold call. Any suggestions would be great cos it would be great to get that income flooding in..... Ok... it is harder to sell an offline client on a: "We can get you to the first page of Google." Than it is for: "We can put you on the first page of Google now! Or we can put your competitor 3 blocks over on it" Start out with some commission only salesmen... If a commission only sales man can't sell spots on pages that are already ranked... he sould just jump off the nearest bridge. And because of the way ninja works... you can obviously sell them multiple placements on pages since local traffic can be low for many terms but combined it can be really sweet. And for a magic trick...if you have core conversion... Show them a google listing you have ranking for a local search term... Go to the page right in front of them on their laptop. Now put their URL into core conversion and do the google search again... Salesman can't sell that.. just get out of the game yo! lol Erinbro: Thanks Zerofill. I do have core conversion and am doing just what you suggest. I know once I get in front of the right person they won't be able to resist it. Yep, might have to resort to a salesperson. What do you think would be a reasonable commission rate if they are commmission only? (sorry to hassle you with these questions - I know you aren't here to teach us every little detail) Depends on your pricing... Commission only with this type of stuff should be a higher rate... On average though 30% of the initial ticket is fine. You can even go higher if you want as long as the clients are being locked into a monthly fee. Do not give them (sales people) a residual if possible on any monthly fees you are paid. The reason being is... they will get lazy. Rest on their previous earnings and not produce like they should be. But in reality if you get a bunch of local terms ranking for several niche categories... They should be able to write their own paycheck in sales. You always maintain the sites so that if they ever drop your services they lose their ranking because it was your site. Definitely target people you see in adwords ads on the pages you are ranking. Many of them are spending ridiculous amounts of money anyway. So an organic ranking will produce more for them as far as ROI goes if done right. Subprime1: Issue #1: Basically, when you timeout the build cycle doesn't finish and LPN does not offer to unbuild/delete because it doesn't think pages have been built. If you build again you're duplicating the pages that did get built before it timed out. My work around was to go to dashboard>pages(or posts) and look at what the last {shortcode} built was (I always had a {shortcode} in my title so it was easy to cross reference to a spreadsheet on my other monitor). Then I'd go into LPN the incomplete shortcode, copy and delete all of the unbuild variables, and create a new shortcode to hold all of the unbuilt variables. Then build and create a new LPN draft with the new shortcode and build pages. If you don't do this, you will continue building duplicate pages and you'll never really move forward. I hope my answer wasn't as confusing as your question. I experienced the same problem so I knew what you were trying to explain. Issue #2: I don't understand... OR this from obx08, create a single draft with your shortcode in it ie:city for that shortcode list go ahead and list ALL the cities you want to do. (not just 20 or so) go to your draft and click build pages with the draft like normal. Once it times out click the database button at the top (or however you want to go back to see the posts made) make note of the city used in the last post created. (assuming the shortcode is in the title) Now go to the shortcode list and delete all cities up to the last one made. It creates the posts in order going down the list. So by simply deleting the ones from the list up to the most recent one created you can then save the shortcode list again and hit build pages again in the draft and it will continue on down the list. Once it times out simply repeat. This way there is no need to create multiple drafts. or multiple pages of shortcodes Warrior0112: Besides the following plugins are there any others which are beneficial to sites...feel free to add in any you find beneficial and this probably should be put into best practices Plugins: WP CMS POST CONTROL (No longer required with the release of Ver. 1.5) ALL IN ONE SEO YET ANOTHER RELATED POST (YARPP) GOOGLE XML SITEMAP CORE CONVERSION PLUGIN (PAID) Zerofill: Even though Jeremy added the video... Health Insurance find a handyman, find a doctor, find a lawyer PC quick fix tools like registry repairs, etc... Free ipads, giftcards, etc... don't work that well. The reason being is people searching aren't typically targeting: "free ipad" so throwing one in their face is hit or miss just like paid traffic for them is. But for instance, ebooks, software, etc... that you could sell yourself on jailbreaking (iphone) and rooting (android) methods can do well with the right keywords ranking. Once you get on the 1st page and ranking 95% of the battle is done. From that point the sky is the limit to how you monetize. Kuhndawg: Hey guys, of those here who are actually using the plugin (Big Hombre, MisterE, Zerofill, Jeremy, etc.) are any of you renting the pages for your monetization model? If so, care to share what you are thinking of charging? Are you looking at local population or number of exact searches in google to get your pricing? How about placement? Highest price for a #1, a little less for 2, 3, even more less for 4, 5, 6... and so on? You have to take a couple things int consideration... 1. what kind of market is it? 2. how much is a lead worth to them? 3. what kind of results will you likely get them? The other thing to consider is that the "renting" is a great lead in for higher paying, more professional services that you can offer to potential clients. "hey mr. Dentist, I'll put all of your information on this page that is on page 1 of Google for $100 a month, but I also notices that..........." 1. You havn't claimed your places spot yet - I can do that for you 2. Your regular website looks like crap - I can take care of that for you 3. you're not actually collecting leads - I can set that up for you etc.... Ideally, you will try to maximize the profit that you make from each and every potential client you come into contact with. Kuhndawg: Thanks for the reply Jeremy! Yep, I see where that could be a great lead in. Honestly though, if I end up being able to get $100 per post/term that I get a top 10 result for, I think I'll hire a staff and just do that full time. Some of them you will def get $100 a month for - Some much more, but keep in mind that some of the cities/towns that don't get much traffic...you don't want to go "full pop" on those because you end up with a disappointed client...so combine a few of them and offer like 3 areas for the price of one or something like that... But, even after that, if the client isn't getting traffic, that is still a great opportunity for you to make some more money from them... "hey Mr. client I just checked the stats out and it dosn't seem like there is a whole lot of traffic coming in for the towns/cities that we set you up with. What I'd like to do is work up a proposal for you so that we can target some more heavily populated areas so that you can see an influx of clients. My goal is to get you as many clients as I possibly can...how does that sound?" The real profit when you do pretty much anything offline is in the relationship that you build...Your lead in, knowing where to go next, and then ultimately closing the relationship and a highly profitable sale. When I first started out online, and even after Don and I teamed up, most of the money we made was coming from Clickbank, but looking back - that was CHUMP CHANGE...Not long after, we switched up to CPA, and realized just how much more profitable that was, then led into offline stuff...and truth be told, it is probably where we get our best ROI for the simple fact that we don't actually do a whole lot.... Commission only sales people + Trained support staff making a decent hourly wage + Great client acquisition strategies = BANK! MisterE: The next step for me is to purchase a few more domains and start using LPN the way it was meant to be used. The last hurdle for me is to figure out how to single out a single ranking post/page, edit it for a client, and get it rented. For lead generation, I've found that 2 very specific strategies work really well. 1. price per lead or price per month for the whole lead base - Basically here, depending on the niche/market you would work up a price for either a single lead or for batches of leads daily/weekly/bi-weekly/monthly...whatever,which is a great way to get a normal and stable recurring income into your business. 2. Flip the whole site - More or less if you set up a site that does "well" as far as generating actual good leads and you can get the right kind of data from a form: Name Address Phone number Email address Best time to contact when ready to purchase You can take the whole site and sell it as a lead gen package...we've done this before and gotten decent 4 and 5 figure paydays, which are great for cash flow and to free up some capital to do other things on a larger scale. If you can find a nice balance between those 2 strategies, not only can you have a regular income coming in from the leads that will allow you to live extremely comfortably, but you can set yourself up for some REALLY big paydays...which for many would mean "game over" as far as trying to build a business that they can live with and off of. The biggest stumbling block to either strategy is finding an effective way to approach and close prospective clients, which more or less will come down to each individuals comfort level, sales skills, and desire to succeed. One really easy way that train new sales people to approach it is to do mass mailings and mass calls to whatever market that we are targeting with a "soft pitch" that goes something like this... "hey Mr. Business Owner, we set up this site under the expectation that one of your competitors was going to snatch it up, but we havn't heard back from them for a couple weeks now, which leaves me with a bit of a problem. Which is, I have no use for these leads, and they are more or less going to waste right now. If you're interested, I can throw a couple of them your way just so someone gets the business. is that something you would be interested in?" At that point some business owners (many of them) are of course going to want the leads...So, you can either divide some of them up, and tell everyone else, sorry but they are gone, but I can do this for you....Or, divide them up and then follow up in a couple of weeks to see if they were satisfied with the leads...if they were, what do you think the chances of them not giving you some money to give them more? Obviously it's a little more complicated than that, and there is more that goes into it, but that should give you enough to kind of start thinking about the possibilities. We are thinking about putting together an "advanced" workshop or webinar for client acquisition if there is enough interest that would cover ways that you can make money both with the plugin and without...But, we're not sure how much interest there would be, so we havn't pulled the trigger on it yet, but I can tell you this...we are VERY GOOD at acquiring clients, and training sales people to set up and close deals for us, which to be honest is where the big bucks are. Eddie J: Do you have any advice at all for the spinning? I mean, I try to use as many synonyms as I can...and I am constantly reading 4 or 5 words BACK and FORWARDS to make sure it sounds good. We used to throw cannon fodder out like crazy even did a bunch of it on the insurance site. But in reality the better we spin them (when we do spin) so they read well, the better they rank anymore. Unless the terms are just ridiculously easy. Best thing is don't just only do synonym replacement on single words. Do phrase replacements and then throw in some single synonym replacements. Make sure you do most of your best work in the first paragraph... Some people say the last paragraph to... Link to authority sites from inside your content with related anchor text. Since the spinning has been added you can actually link to a bunch of different sites with different anchor text randomly. Use a related post plugin and xml site map so you get good deep crawls and your posts are found easily. EDIT: I am actually starting to think that Google is working on using lexical databases like a wordnet type. That is why (in my thinking from so much data looked at and evaluated over years) sometimes it takes so long when sites disappear to come back. Jeremy: To everyone that is thinking about ways to build backlinks, or is stressing about actually building them...I wanted to touch on a couple things... 1. I personally hardly EVER backlink these sites - EVER and when I do, I usually set a few of the pages a day up with Mega Link Blaster - You Control The Flow (coupon code MLB5742 for $20 off) . 2. You don't have to rank every single post/page in the first page, first position or even just on the first page. If you can get EVEN 1 post/page on the first page, that is more than enough to get a prospective clients attention. 3. Don't lose sight of what the "prize" is - You don't win a prize for ranking on the first spot or first page. The PRIZE IS MAKING A PROFIT. I would rather have one post/page on the first page that made me a profit than to have 500 pages/posts ranking on the first page that didn't make me a dime. It's VERY IMPORTANT for everyone to sit down and come up with a PLAN OF ACTION...one that is suitable for their comfort level and skill set, and make a promise to themselves, their significant other, their kids, whatever it takes to make a profit from the results that they get. You can look high and low, and you won't see Don and I talking about how much money we make from pretty much anything, but I will tell you this...This tool has the ability to make ANYONE a FULL TIME income, and when I say a full time income, I'm not talking about a full time minimum wage income...I'm talking about a full time PROFESSIONAL INCOME. 1. Figure out which way you are going to monetize 2. Build sites 3. Track results 4. Implement your monetization strategy 5. Profit 6. tweak - Repeat - profit again Jeremy: With the sniper type sites, if you have core conversions, you can set it to run, and rotate through a bunch of different sales/squeeze pages to find the one that converts the best and then just run that page exclusively to maximize conversions and profit Pretty much the same with CPA...then if an offer expires it's as easy as changing the url in core conversions to display the new offer(s) Obx08: I have a quick question for those people that are doing this for local clients. How do you really need this many posts/pages for a LOCAL client? Let's say they are a dentist in Raleigh NC....you have raleigh dentist, dentist in raleigh etc etc...maybe 15 combinations. What are you doing on the other 100's or 1000's of pages. I realize you could do surrounding areas but most local places do not have but so many surrounding areas where someone is going to drive more than say 30min for a dentist. I just dont see how people are using it for local businesses due to the minimized "local" aspect. Im not saying it wouldn't work...im just trying to understand how you would build a package for a local client. If you can't use the pages directly for a client, put adsense on them, display CPA offers, an opt-in box, collect leads to sell or broker....Use the sheer number of first page rankings to give prospective clients confidence in your abilities for expensive customized work...get the traffic to the site up, and flip it...there are tons of stuff you can do with "all those pages". Plus, just because you have a dentist in Raleigh, there are other dentists in other cities and towns that are also looking to increase their exposure and generate new customers online.... Subprime1 Added - I think it also depends on the geography of where your clients are. The first LPN site I built targets 29 "towns, hamlets and villages" within a 5-mile radius of a larger town. I've optimized it for about 29 keywords. So that gives me 841 pages (29x29) within 5-miles of each other. Not that you're asking, but maybe it will help others, here's how I'm selling it. I knew exactly who would be interested in the site before I built it, and I have a meeting with him on Tuesday evening. I used sort of a spin on Jeremy's sales approach that he mentions in the monetization video. It went something like this: "Hey did you get my proposal? No, oh, wow... Guess I messed up. I figured since I didn't hear from you you wanted me to move ahead with it..." "Move ahead with what? What was the proposal?" "Oh, well I built a trial website for you that has 69 first page results for the keyword "________" in "city" and all of the towns within a five mile radius. You can check it out. Just search for "_________" and let me know what you think. You'll know it's the right site because it'll be in first position and I put one of your youtube vids on it! If you don't like it let me know and I'll take it down right away. If you do like it, let's talk next week because I can build you out about 10 of these in the next month. That's what my proposal was about." That was with a warm client that I've worked with before. Not sure how well that would work cold. Probably wouldn't. (BTW: That pitch was actually true because he didn't get my proposal, which I delivered in a very unreliable manner) Tiger66466: I think a good way to help businesses (or ourselves depending on stuff we are promoting) is to use LPN as a way to get good keyword anchor text backlinks to....Facebook Fanpages. If you're helping a client you can create a local page that links out to their facebook page but use your short codes for cities in their area. Then of course if you have Core Conversions you can also link directly to the businesses fan page - either only their fan page or have it rotate between their website and their fanpage. And here's a good upgrade for making some more moolah from business owners - get paid to create fanpages that are basically websites within facebook. And/or custom facebook fanpages landing pages so that when someone first lands on their fanpage the visitor is more likely to click like. The default facebook fanpage is not the way to go for businesses. At least that's what you can tell your clients. And it's true. Subprime1: So here's a few things I've tried with LP and LPN that have worked surprisingly well for me... I'm sure it's pretty basic stuff, but still... Recycling one page 841 times: I built a one page sales letter that was well structured read well and looked pretty sweet on the theme I was using (modified WPCharity Bintaro theme). I then created a very long {shortcode} that was "keyword phrase + city" and embeded it in three places on the sales page. I formated the embed so that it wouldn't interupt the reading of the page, sort of the way adwords does it. The {sc} was also the title of the page. It was really just a test and I figured it wouldn't rank very well using such a lazy way of optimizing. It ranked very well, and I expect to rent the site out next week and take an order for 10 more. Merging content from two spreadsheet columns: To create that list of 841 {sc} variables, I created a spread sheet where column 1 was the keyword phrase, column two was a city (type it in and drag it down to autofill), and column three was a formula (=A1&" "B1&). The formula merged col1 and col2. Then I copied the results to a text file, and repeated with the next city in col 2. Did that 29 times in about 10 minutes. I'm sure there's an easier way. Creating LPN Anchored Text Links on the Fly (maybe the YARPP plugin does this automatically?): On another site I built I named each page with {sc} as the title, and based on my known {sc} variables and permalink structure, was able to predict what the URLs would be named. So I built about 5 anchored text links into each draft. I've always had a lot of success with local ranking sites when I slightly abuse in-site anchored text links. That site is ranking very well. In fact!!! The client landed, probably because of that site and a serendipitous news event... get this!!! three on-site television interviews, one newspaper article and crowds of people lining up outside his store all week long. His other site I built ranks very well also so I can't say for sure it was his LPN site, but still. I asked one of the news anchors how he choose to use my client's store and he said "it was number one on Google, but not a sponsored link." When I told him I built the site he gave me his card and said I've go some work for you. Anyway, that's all for now... Hope that helps someone out. I think we have an awesome softwares here, and a very cool thread community. Tiger66466: OMG - I'm so excited about something I just tested. Not sure if this will benefit anyone else, but had to share. So I have a dozen sites that are geared toward specific cities in my area. I use them so that the main site is like a directory/yellow pages/listings free-for-all site (in other words, I am trying to target ALL the businesses and services for the city). Then to get some good traction with specific industries I do subdomains. For example citylocksmith.citystate.info (And yes, these are those .infos that tend to rank quite well. But to be clear they are NOT massive cities at all, they're fairly small). My mind is still churning out ideas and one idea was to use my all purpose domain that I just got and post articles as a way to get back links to these twelve city sites (and domains) - the city sites are on my reseller account and the new domain is on a different hosting account. I thought, "Ok, I could create a short code for just these twelve cities". But then I thought, "Well is it possible to do anchor text and input urls with short codes?" Even though it's nearly 5am and I should be trying to get some freakin' sleep I thought, "Self, just go test this out." I created a test post just for testing if shortcodes would work in urls. AND THEY DO! (In case I'm rambling incoherently and it's not clear what I mean is I would type {city} locksmith and highlight that and in the little box (or if you do it by hand the html) the url it would like to is http://{city}locksmith.{city}state.info And when you have the posts/pages created it will turn into a real url that is clickable. Of course, this only works easily if you set everything up in the same pattern. When I do a subdomain I create it once and then I use WPTwin and then use that clone across the other 11 cities and all I have to do is a find replace and change out city names and a few other tweaks to swap out city names. In other words I use the same format for every single city site - the only difference in url and titles and such is the city name per site. So perfect for using shortcodes.) This is the awesome sauce for me because I now have a way of getting backlinks for these twelve sites and any subdomains. Even though they are smaller cities (some are actually decent sized but not huge like say Los Angeles or NYC) some stuff is pretty tough to rank for because there are some marketers who have put in work on ranking for certain niches in these areas (it's weird how competitive locksmith is!). So now I can write a single blurb/article and get backlinks to those sites and subdomains easily. Ohhhh, and I could make it even easier by adding in shortcodes for the TYPES of businesses. So a single article could back link to several types of businesses per city - but i'm only writing ONE article. Eddie J: If I am targeting plumber in {city} with LPN, would it also be smart and advantageous to target leaking toilet in {city}, clogged drain in {city}, etc? Do you think people search clogged drain in new york? I'm torn as to do it or not. The way I find terms is to look in the google keyword tool to see how many searches a term gets per month. If it looks good for a few decent, mid sized markets, I assume it is a popular term across the board and run with it. Subprime1: Just got a call from the guy who I'll be renting an LPN site to next week... He called me to say his webmaster found my site and that he's concerned because it's all BH and won't last... it's this, it's that. Snivel, snivel. I said that's great news for him then isn't it? But I suspect he's trying to avoid the big question you'll be asking him soon, which is, "Why is this guy's brand new f'ing site on a brand new domain out ranking us across the board in a matter of days? Tell me again why I have you on a full time salary?" "You're right," he said. "That's exactly what I am wondering." "Bottom line is I'm not going to explain how I'm doing it, but if your guy is correct then my site won't last. So whatever deal we arrange will be on a month-to-month basis. You want results, and that's all that really matters in business, and that's what I've got for you, right?" Done and done. Love it. BTW: I somewhat "snoop proofed" the site with wp-protect and wp-c conv. Subprime Added - My snoop-proof method wasn't too clear, so here it is in more detail... First, my apologies if I'm hijacking this thread... I'll tone it down a bit after this... Most of the clients I approach are already working with people who work for peanuts. So when I show them a topranking LPN site one of the clients first reactions will probably be to show it to their guy and say, "figure out how he's doing this and do it for me." That's just smart business on their part. This actually happened yesterday. Obviously I don't want them to figure out what I'm doing, so I protect from right-clicks with wp-protect. Not foolproof, but will keep most of the low-fee hacks out. Another thing I do to subconsciously increase the sales pressure is use the wp-core conversion (wp-c conv. is how I referred to it earlier). It's a WSO by Jeremy and Don, linked to many times in this thread. I use core conversion to show a temporary maintenance page, set up like this: "The #1 "niche" site in "city" is temporarily in maintenance mode, please check back soon. <image of maintenance sign> Attention "____________"s!!! Click here if you want to be on the first page of Google... Instantly. When they click there it takes them to a very short and direct sales page that talks about delivery of results instead of promises, what types of clients I am willing to work with [which happens to be the type that understand the value of first page search results relative the cost of yellow page ads], that I only work with one client in each industry/area. The bottom of the sales page is an autoresponse contact form (with phone number required). Keep in mind this isn't a WSO-looking sales page that we all love to love on WF. For clients I use more of a business-letter looking sales page. The idea is that my target renter (client) will see that the site is "on the market" and without saying anything he'll feel the psychological pressure of wanting to keep it (and me) out of the hands of his competitors. I've always found it easier to sell what people already want to buy! Hope this helps... and let me know if you have any ideas on how to improve it... (I see this this thread as an informal LPN mastermind group) Roger Gonzales Added - After you finish posting you can delete the plugin, short codes and drafts Jeremy Added - Also...Keep in mind, regardless of what ANYONE says, there is not a single thing about the way the plugin acts, functions, or produces that is BLACK HAT...not a single thing. So, don't let a client, or anyone else for that matter try to diminish the results you've gotten because they were so "easy" to get. Another thing to keep in mind with clients is to let them know that you can make the site look however they want it to look, and that the results you got are more or less you "showing off" to demonstrate just how easy that you can outrank your competition, as well as your clients competition. If you really want to knock them on their ass, if they have a google places listing that isn't ranking well yet, place a link on probably half of the pages/posts that are ranking on the first page, linking back to their GP listing...There is a good chance that in a few days, their site jumps right up there. If they decide not to hire or pay you, just remove the links and watch it sink again. Continue on to explain that what you do doesn't stop at just getting him a first page ranking, that your goal is to help him increase conversions, increase the number of returning customers he gets, expand the reach of his/her brand, and to make their business more profitable as a whole. YellowGreenMedia: I am going a whole other route tomorrow, i am not going to use cities and states but i am going to experiment with brands and product names... there is no need to tie yourself on to local stuff.... I'm going the same route with model numbers on a niche site I put up a couple weeks ago as a test for another WSO based on using Google insights and ebay. I also segmented several long-tail keywords for a couple other "solve health problems" niches and spun several hundred posts for each sites. The more I use it, the more I think of ways to leverage it. I've had huge success for local client sites. Not just from rankings but from a significant increase in the number of phone calls to their business coming from web searches. 50% of the increase is from people who searched {local suburb} keyword. I'm not doing any other SEO for them and am getting better results than ever before. For my biggest client - Their traffic is up 130%, bounce rate is down 9% and average time on site is up 40 seconds since I installed the plugin. Obx08: I just wanted to post a little tip or reminder for people. Once you start getting your initial rankings and traffic make sure you either have something like seo search term tagging or some sort of tracking installed. The reason i say this is basically try to have a way you can see what the incoming search terms are. You are going to rank for many more keywords than the specific ones you are initially creating pages for. Many of these sites you can actually grow dynamically as time goes by if you watch what search terms you are bringing traffic from. Once you can see incoming search therms then take those terms and create posts or pages for those terms so you can start ranking even better for these specific terms as well....and overtime you will dominate every possibly related term for a niche. I once had a random related term that i was ranking 9th on. My initial keyword was 1st but i noticed every now and then i was getting traffic from this other related keyword even though i was ranking ninth for it...so i took some time and made a page optimized for that new keyword and it eventually ranked 1 as well and out performed my initial keyword all together! This idea would also make your site "look" more whitehat (not that it isnt already). If you see a similar term coming in go ahead and make a totally new article for all your cities around that term...you would end up with double the posts...double the new content...and a possibly whole new keyword and lsi keywords to bring traffic in from....because if a keyword is popular in one area it will likely be popular in another since our sites content are all the same niche, just in different areas. Keep your minds open...initial post creation does not have to be final post creation Warrior0112: I thought it might be helpful to all if someone could post in "best Practices" where you can use spin syntax and where you cannot.....content= yes title=? tags=Yes all in one seo=? All of the draft content is Spinnable, and is able to use Shortcodes, Title and Content. The All-In-One plugin fields only use Shortcodes (not spinnable) Tags I believe only work with Shortcodes. In short, and to condense, everything that is part of the LPN Plugin is Spinnable and Shortcode enabled. Any other Plugins are only Shortcode enabled. Eddie J Added - Categories DO NOT work with shortcodes Subprime1: Hope this helps someone out... The other day I built a few hundred LPN pages and thought, "Damn! I wish I had embedded a video on each of those pages." Then I remembered a cool (and free) plugin I've used on other sites called Contemplate. Basically it allows you to add content to a post/page anywhere you have embedded a [contemplate] shortcode. If I had built all of those pages with a blank Contemplate shortcode I could have just added the video embed code (or any other content/images/code for that matter) at any time in the future. Just open up the contemplate module from the WP dashboard, paste in the new code/content and it instantly populates in all of the pages/posts that have a [contemplate] shortcode. I tested it on a very small 5-page LPN sample and it works great. I don't know how it would work with 100 or thousands of pages, but I'm sure I'll find out soon. The only thing is you have to deactivate Contemplate while you are building the LPN pages or LPN acts a little weird. And if you don't have anything to put in contemplate at the moment, use blank space (html code is " " without the quotation marks), otherwise you'll see the actual Contemplate shortcodes in the pages. I plan on embedding three blank Contemplate shortcodes in each of my new posts/pages from here on out. I'll put one at the top, middle and bottom of each draft. Each one can hold it's own individual content. Imagine if you put a generic video or image in a page and your client wants you to switch it out with a branded one when he rents your site. Just switch out the video embed code in contemplate and it changes all of the pages instantly. Client stops paying, and you want to go back to the generic video, or a new client's branded media? Just change it in Contemplate once and it's done. Check it out and please let me know if you think of any out-of-the-box uses for this. Sandrax Added - That's so right, I'm actually using insert-html-here, does pretty much the same thing. What you can do with this: - When you have a client you can simply put in a banner or text - Add other kinds of advertisement over all pages and update in one go without editing the pages one by one, if you want to do all LPN pages Stacy (Tiger66466) Said: Hey John - Yes you can put WHATEVER you want. You create your own short codes so you can put zip codes, neighborhoods, suburbs, hell you could probably put street names. If you're in the States you can go by counties (or parrish if in Louisiana). If you are using it and if already has default cities in it you're using the old version. The new one allows for you to create your own shortcodes. Quote: Originally Posted by Johnb35 View Post Just got the plugin, can you change the cities for suburbs - John B Yes, Core Conversion can do all 50 posts/page for the same CPA offer (OR you can have it rotate through multiple offers if you want to see which one will convert). However, you will have to put it in before you hit Build Posts/Pages. If you don't then you will either have to go back and make it work sitewide (which means ALL posts/pages going forward and everything already on your site) or you'd have to go in and edit each page/post individually. If you've already got the rankings but don't want to use the sitewide option because you don't want that showing up for other posts than this batch of 50, I've HEARD (but haven't done it myself) that if you go in and delete those posts and just add in to enable the lightbox with the cpa urls and hit build posts/pages again - you shouldn't lose your rankings because you re-build it and the urls would be the same but now when people click on your site it would go to the cpa offer not your site/page. Another option is if you build first then rank THEN use Core Conversions - do new ones under a folder or subdomain so if you have to go back and do sitewide you can control which posts/pages will be Core Conversion'd. What I like to do when I'm not sure if things will work the way I want or not or its the first time I'm trying something - I'll set up my draft and then only publish 1 or 2. Then I check those out and see how things look. If they're good, I still delete them and then save draft and build all of my intended pages. (I delete the test ones even though they may be right so I don't end up with numbers in the url because a city has been repeated - I don't like to go back and delete from my short code list). The pages/posts debate depends on your preference. Posts tend to be indexed more quickly. So if you're doing it to be redirected by core conversions then it doesn't matter since no one will see your original page. I tend to prefer pages if I'm going to rent out or put advertising on it because they look cleaner to me. So for CPA offers I'd go with posts and with renting I'd go with pages. But honestly you'd probably be good either way. Hope that helped! Big Thanks LW OK Warriors, the next Floating Faqs are compiled from the first 5 pages: opportunex: Does the plugin work with cities in the UK? Absolutely, if you can create a page or post and you know which cities you want to target then there's nothing stopping it from working. It really is super simple to use and it works in any area. Cedricl: I understand it works for any country. Does it also work for other languages (non English) It should. Like I said earlier, if you can create a page or post and know which cities you are targeting then the plugin will do it's job. MisterE: Free updates for the life of the product? Yes, Andres is the developer, and as you can see, he is very passionate about the plugin, and uses it in his daily day to day business, so it will be kept up to date. Elis: can it wotk with only WP sites? Yes, it's a wordpress plugin Helecis: Are we limited to using All In One SEO? It should work with any SEO plugin as long as you can input the title, description, and keywords on the page or post you're working on. rgkweebiz: If I'm leasing sites on domains that I own, and not flipping them, will the personal use license suffice or will I need the developer's license? If it is all being done on your own domains, you are good with the regular license. Donp: will you have a way for someone to upgrade to the developers license at a later date if needed? Shoot us a message if you want to upgrade at a later date, but you would need to pay the difference calculated to what the price is at THAT time.... Manhattan mortgage: Can you add pages vs posts, use both or just posts? Works with both pages and posts. Melody: where's a good place to swipe a list of 'clean' city names or do you have resource in the file? I get my lists from wikipedia. Google the state or metro area. Vrs: I didn't see a money back guarantee. Is there one? As with all of our products, refunds are handled on a case to case basis. if you send me an email that simply says "refund" - my answer back is "NO". if you have a legitimate problem, or can't get the plugin to function, we will of course give your money back. GraemeHawley: Seen at least 2 people ask about duplicate content being an issue, and you don't seem to of answered the question, so can you please explain why you wont get hit for duplicate content using this method? both of the example sites that we used have dupe content - the ranking report that andreas showed that he gave to his client a few months ago, uses dupe content - It's a non-issue. Most of your local directory/listing type sites for the most part are created with dupe content, and they routinely rank on the first page, and stay there. Kasida: It would really help to see video showing how the plugin works. It would have been much easier to understand. Any chances for that? The plugin is both a TOOL and a METHOD all in one, so showing a video of exactly what the plugin is, does, and why it works, is kind of giving away the farm. I'm not sure if it's just me, but "how" it works isn't as important to me as....as long as it works Your not spamming anyone your not violating any TOS Your playing by the rules, and being rewarded for it - The plugin just condenses hours and hours of work down to a few minutes, and gives you results faster than you would ever see yourself in scale. Dark witness: so am i right in thinking you don't really need to do any of the other usual seo stuff to get a good rank with this plugin? Every situation is different, but in the dentist example in the OP, the only thing that I did was ping the site and submit it to a few social bookmarking sites to get it indexed. Zerofill (Don): Anyone looking for U.S. cities... and there may be a few countries in there but mainly should all be U.S. cities you can use this thing I made that we use. U.S. Cities You can just copy and paste right form there... AussieT: Jeremy in the video you mentioned that you are using the "Yet Another Related Post Plugin" Is this also needed for your plugin to work fully? I don't think that it's "needed" - But, I use it to help get all the pages indexed etc when the spiders hit Drhook: Jeremy will this work with sub-domain name or do we have to use main domain Andres replied: I've tested it on a subdomain and it works just as well. Mlbs: it says on plugin to create draft post but do not publish this ?? You don't publish because the plugin takes care of that for you. Kcseke: Do you have to use cities in the city tag or can you use neighborhoods in a city instead? Thanks. You can use neighborhoods, it's really up to you how you want to target it. Or you can load up a list of cities AND neighborhoods. Mtntgr: white gray black hat? COMPLETELY WHITE HAT...nothing gray, black, or any other color about this Dubhlinn: How would i go about adding phone numbers like the skype icon etc to individual pages. Can i do this manually as pages begin to rank? I could offer to place separate numbers on these pages for multiple rental pages. You can do it manually, just edit the individual page and make whatever modifications you need to make. Palpatine: I don't use all-in-one plugin either, but do you know if this works with the Genesis Framework and child themes? I can input the custom title and description underneath the actual post or page content in the admin panel, I think you mentioned that somewhere in this thread, but I definitely prefer Genesis without the all-in-one SEO plugin or ANY SEO plugin for that matter. It does work with the Genesis framework. It pretty much with any custom fields that are available when you are setting up the page or post. Dubhlinn: Also i dont think that the posts look great if i try to sell to one client #example one post after another after another scrolling down the page. Go into "Settings" => "Reading" and change the default "Blog pages show at most" from 10 to 1 to take care of that. Quote: dubhlinn: I think it would look a lot better if we used individual pages. If we do individual pages is there a way to hide them from the nav bar so we don't have a mess of 50 + page names Use a free plugin called "Exclude Pages from Navigation" it provides a checkbox on the editing page which you can check to exclude pages from the primary navigation. Pages 6 through 10: Markiz: How the posts are being built? On the fly? If I understand your question right, Yes! Morpheus26: Just to clarify. What this plugin does is change a city name in the title content and so on and create a seperate post or page for each city I add in a list? Is that correct? So the pages only differ in the city name, everything else is the same. After the plugin created these pages I can manually change things in these pages? Does the plugin do this for all pages setup or can I say I want this behaviour only on my contact page for example? Yes that's correct and after the pages are created, you do have to option to go in and change whatever you want manually. The plugin will automatically do it for the pages that have the placeholder anywhere in the content. If the placeholder is not there then the plugin won't mess with it. Catgirl07: Will this only work for "your niche + city" keyword domains. Was wondering if it would work for any domain eg Joesplumbing.com? Will work with any domain. Bostoncitymass: When adding the plugins (all in one seo, yet another related, etc.) anything in particular we should do with the configuring? I have a few standard tweaks I usually make but for the most part I don't change much. Wondering what your opinions/suggestions are. Nothing other than the standard setup. Edc3076: I use thesis framework, how is this going to react inside thesis? thank you Andres Replied - I've tested in multiple themes with no issues really. The only thing I noticed is that if your theme automatically creates the menu from the pages in the site, then you would need to use the Exclude pages plugin so that you can prevent a multitude of pages being added to the navbar. If you use a custom menu, then you don't have to worry about that. Jaycar: I just bought your Local Ninja Plug In and I cannot seem to install it. It keeps saying that this plug in does not have a valid header. Any ideas what the problem could be? Need to unzip the initial zip file you download. Once you extract it... there is another zip file inside along with the video. That zip file is the one you install. Onecrackedegg Added - Unzip the downloaded file and you will see 3 items inside: READ-ME-FIRST.txt plugininstructions.wmv localpagesninja.zip Upload the localpagesninja.zip in your wordpress install (that is the actual plugin) and it should work. Jeremy Posted: Just an FYI.... Myself, Don, and Andres are all located on the East Coast of the USA. So, if you ask a question and we don't answer right away, you're not being ignored, well get you taken care of as soon as we roll out of bed. zerofill on version 1.5/1.51 The plugin is basically a total rewrite over the original version and works much better. 1) You can use spinner syntax 2) You generate posts/pages from drafts you save by actually telling it to generate posts by pressing a button (no more auto save headaches etc...) 3) You can choose the number of posts/pages to generate or you can let it generate the total in the list of the shortcodes. 4) Yes I said shortcode(s)... You can create multiple custom shortcodes. 5) You can delete all posts or pages based off of a specific draft 6) You can update a draft and generate more pages based off the update to the draft. 7) When you delete posts you no longer have to delete the draft. But it will delete all posts or pages created using the draft you have selected at the time. All the information will be in the video... You will need a license key to activate the plugin. When you change over to the new plugin... Deactivate the old one... and then click delete. Upload the new plugin and activate it. You will then need to go to the licensing page and enter your key. The information on where to get the key... etc... will be released when the video and update are here in a few... ![]() MontyPlums Suggested a great new rank tracking plugin. See #2 above. The next Floating Faqs are compiled from pages 11 - 15: Bostoncitymass: I'm using the "time machine" on my site right now. They work great together Yeah that actually is core conversion Latinguy20: Here you go, have fun. Cities (World) - AdWords API - Google Code You can just download the csv and separate by country. Ej2012: as far as new domain is considered.. if I went and bought a new domain today.. would you recommend waiting for x amount of period.. or just go for it.. start using the plugin and move on? The dentist example domain was bought, and had content on it 12 hours later, and had first page rankings, not long after that....Ultimately, wait a bit if you are more comfortable doing so, but I don't see any reason you "have to". Radix: Is there any reason why we can't remove the plugin once the posts/pages are created? Might help to cut down on the footprint if folks were to do that. If this was already recommended, sorry for asking again. No reason at all. Once you're happy with all posts/pages created, you can delete the plugin. Only thing is that you lose the ability to edit the draft and have it update all the corresponding posts at once. Scott_krech: It's GREAT to "dominate" a local market, as in your examples here, but if the pages rank for a day or so, then are booted, it's kind of pointless. That's just the thing - That isn't our experience at all. When you put up a new site and pages/posts are getting indexed, sure some of the rankings will move around, but when the dust settles, and it's all said and done - You still have more than enough first page rankings to do what you need to do with them. Scott_krech: 4 quickies: 1) What service are you offering your clients that you use the plugin for [local SEO]? Yes local SEO, get them to show up for the services they offer in the areas they want to service. 2) What are you charging them monthly for this? Varies from business to business. It's largely based on what their average invoice is and how many new clients I think I can get them monthly. I've been doing this for a while so I always have a good idea depending on the size of the area. 3) Are the sites converting for them? Absolutely. Pretty much every client that signs up with me stays with me. I've only lost 2 clients and both were because they got out of the business and started a new venture. 4) How are you tracking this? Mostly by installing a call tracking number that has a whisper tone so they know the call is coming in because of me. Big Hombre: 1) Is use of the plugin dependent on Google Places/Maps? In other words, does the site being promoted have to have Google Places presence in order to benefit from this? No, it works completely independently of Google places/Maps. 2) From the other direction, if all you've got is a Google Maps profile and no website, can you benefit from this plugin via promotion from an unrelated site? For instance, can I promote a client's Google Maps profile from my site? For Google places anymore, one of the "big things" is having a website that ranks well organically, so setting a site up, ranking well for several cities and areas for your client - Then linking the site to your GP Listing, would be a very positive thing for your client. deltamatrix (good advice if you're confused or overwhelmed) I would say you should go back to the basics and figure out what works and what doesn't. Use a very basic WP theme, a short simple post without any spinning, and only 1 or 2 shortcodes. Publish only a couple posts to test it out and see what works. Maybe try deactivating un-needed plugins to see if that helps. Get a very basic system working first and then add the bling and test again. Just a couple posts every time until you have it all sorted out. Then once you are happy with the output and everything works, go ahead and start pumping out lots of posts. Of course you'll check those final posts for quality as well. jeffbell on posts with numbers after them... I think there's something to be said about deleting trash between doing a new build on an draft that has been edited. Because before I took out the trash, the number on the end of the permalink went to four. So I think it was counting my resaved drafts, regardless of deleting my builds. (I saw the same thing. Moral of the story... DELETE YOUR OLD POSTS if you plan on redoing with the same shortcodes! —Big Hombre) latinguy20 (on new LPN Posts showing up under the LPN Posts, not the regular Posts section, and not showing up on the site at all: i.e. your theme doesn't like LPN) Try switching to a basic theme like the Twenty Ten, build your posts, then when you're all back, switch back to the one you want to use. I have to do this with a site right now where the theme is not cooperating and it seems to be working doing it that way. The next Floating Faqs are compiled from pages 16 - 20: Ericdpangilinan: When I tried to add cities, my site turned to "Install Wordpress" page! Then, after a while, it was back on again. (Whew!) Now, I found 300+ posts made automatically, so I deleted them. However, when I was about to delete the last 20 posts made by the plugin, the site turned to "Install Wordpress" page again! What's happening here?! :-( My site's still says "Install Wordpress" as of now. Hope you can help. I've only seen this once before and I think it has to do with the hosting you're using and that you may have made a mistake and included a {City} tag somewhere instead of {city}. Just give it sometime and let it catch up, then disable the plugin, install Bulk Delete plugin, delete all the posts, and then when you go to enable the Local Pages plugin again just be sure you are using {city}. Rh12341: can you pls confirm if we leave a space between "san francisco" or "los angeles" or if we delete it or replace it with coma, etc..., when we put the cities into the brackets also is your tag accepting figures into brackets, for ex if we want to target the districts inside a particular city? this to be sure avoiding mistake before doing it! You don't put the cities into brackets, they get loaded into a separate dashboard and you can put whatever you want in there, cities, zip codes, suburbs, etc. Appended (MisterE said) Spaces are perfectly fine as long as the tokens follow the same format. MisterE: For those of you with questions.... If you scroll to the top of this page you'll find a "Search This Thread" option, right below the row of page numbers on the right. The search will return only relevant post's to your search query. Allustrious: if these potential clients have a newer website (for example) that they may have already spent thousands on, for me to come in and try to say that, "You will need to have your website created/re-created as a wordpress site for our service to work", I wouldnt think these types of clients would agree. Who knows, maybe I'm over thinking things. I would still be interested in Andres thoughts???? Obviously they wouldn't, BUT if you can show them numerous first page rankings for cities/areas, that would probably give them confidence enough in your abilities to pay you even if it was to make more html/static sites for them....So, the plugin doesn't have to be the solution to the client, it can simply be the lead generator for you, based on the results that you can show your client: "look how many first page rankings I got with this crappy blog and 400 words of content, what do you think I could do, if I focused solely on your site for you to get you results?" It's a great closing tool... Wmsgeorge: using firefox it brought my cpu usage all the way to 100% and stayed there until i restarted. I tried it on my other computer and didnt have a problem in a different browser but I cant seem to use it on my computer which is brand new as of 2 weeks ago. As far as The CPU usage...I'm no technical wizard, but the plugin is essentially running on and using the resources of your host, so not sure how or why you would see your CPU usage jump like that...This is something that I've personally never experiences, or heard of anyone having any issues with at all. MontyPlums: Will this WSO work on an existing domain using Wordpress? Does the domain name need to have Keyword+City in it? Yes it will work on an existing domain and it doesn't have to be a keyword rich domain. It obviously helps but if your domain already has some kind of authority with Google then that's sometimes even better. Marcolav: It seems ALL in ONE SEO will not create a TITLE for PAGES, which could be a reason why Google is indexing pages slow or not at all as opposed to indexing posts very fast? I am several days into having created about 1,000 posts pages on different blogs and to date only 12 POSTS are showing in google index, and ONE PAGE. The rest of the content on the same blogs continues to be indexed fast so I tend to suspect this has got something to do with the specifics of the content created by this plugin. All in One SEO works the same both for pages and posts so I don't see why that would make a difference. Posts do tend to get indexed quicker in my experience but that's because of how interlinked they are so it's easier for Google to spider them. Plus they get added to your rss. If you're using pages, add the plugin RSS Include Pages so that your pages are also added to the rss feed of your site. Then take that RSS feed, go to a site like bulkping.com and submit the RSS feed. Jeff Klein: I get that the plugin creates draft pages and that those pages rank but what happens when a user clicks on one of the listings? What page loads since the draft that is ranking is not live? Does the user land on the site homepage, the original seed post/page or some other page we define in the plugin? No, you use a draft page as the seed post/page but the plugin creates actual pages/posts so that's what people will land on when they find your site on Google. Vicki247: are we to get a new domain name with each city, right ? No you can use one domain name to target as many cities as you want. Rmhayes: DOes this change the format or layout of site, or is it just behind the scenes. The site looks the same as the tool works in the background. Kreative: once I've set up my first draft and the cities I want to make pages for.... once I complete it and they're up, can I add content.. not change it but add to it? or will this generate new pages? You can add content to the draft and save it again as a draft. That will change the content on all the posts you have created. You can also go to the individual posts or pages and make a change. Just make sure that post's city name is not in your city list next time you update the initial draft. MarketingHuddle: my question is, how does this approach get page 1 rankings for a specific area when it's just a bunch of pages with different geo-targeted keywords? Your article will be optimized for that city keyword: title image article content tags all-in-one-seo plugin All will be optimized for your city keyword. Some will rank in a day or two and some will need a few backlinks. It all depends on the competition. With unique spun content, SEO optimized articles, and a few backlinks I think this will work really well for many keywords. Levyorit: will it work on autoblog? can you give me a name of someone i can hire to install the plug? I don't think it will, you have to actually create the draft post/page that the plugin uses in conjunction with the cities. As far as having someone install and setup the plugin, I'm sure there are a few people on here that already have the hang of it that would be willing to do it. Compiled Faqs from Pages 21 - 30 Zerofill (Don): Local Page Ninja Update Ver. 1.4, July 31st, 2011 The plugin is basically a total rewrite over the original version and works much better. Daveshu: What does it do with the all in one plugin Whatever you put in there it uses including the shortcodes. Just like it normally ould other than the shotcodes being replaced with the actual words. Daveshu: do you end up with a page full of links to all of the pages it creates, etc, etc, etc You an use YARPP or any other related post plugin to do that. No reason or the plugin to do it. Deltamatrix: So everything has to be done in html mode now right? Can we do the work on another html editor and then paste the code in? Or will that cause a coding problem? Didn't actually try that... but I imagine it will work. Just as long as you paste it back in in with the HTML tab selected. Zerofill Added - On a side note... basically when your pasting in from a spinner like The Best Spinner... make sure it is on the HTML tab. And Again - IMPORTANT NOTICE: While I said in the PDF to use only the HTML tab... I have been fine pasting into text only option of wordpress and using the visual editor. But it is safer to directly post into the HTML tab of the editor in wordpress. The visual editor just isn't something we will be taking bug reports on. Deltamatrix: I've entered several shortcodes and the cities, etc. lists. When I publish posts or pages the cities, etc. don't show up at all. Any ideas? Everything else is working but the cities, etc. don't show up anywhere - not in aio-seo either. Are you clicking the "save" button at the bottom? I can't think of anything else that would cause them not to show up... Robmc23: I think this is great plugin as well, but like one of my fellow members I can't get the spinning to work for the life of me (done in TBS so I know the spintax is spot on)... Any thoughts / work arounds? If you are copying and pasting a piece of content from say...an article directory, into your spinner, then into LPN - That is where your problem lies...In many cases, when you copy and paste from somewhere like EZA, little pieces of "code" get carried over to a spinner...such as TBS, and then cause problems when trying to spin with LPN. Try typing something straight into your spinner, then COPY AND PASTE THAT INTO THE HTML MODE IN WORDPRESS and see if it works. Jeremy Added - For spinning.... You can't copy an article from a website, drop it in a spinner, then paste it into the plugin. The text HAS TO come from a notepad or something similar as the original source... ...so, you can't go to an article directory, copy that article into your spinner, spin it, then copy and paste that text into LPN The text has to originate from a text file or something similar... Also, it works best WHEN YOU COPY THE TEXT DIRECTLY INTO THE HTML MODE in wordpress NOT THE NORMAL MODE, THEN JUST SAVE IT AS HTML. Zerofill Added - There are a few people that put spinner syntax in and see a bunch of it in their posts. Here is why... and a solution. I am guessing MAC and Linux users probably don't have these issues... The biggest problem anyone will have is this... If you grab something from a webpage or even inside word or some other word processing app. They can leave behind characters that cause issues. Like take for instance: ” <--- That is not the same as " or ’ <--- is not the same as ' Those... are basically ascii characters like... holding down the alt key and pressing some numbers on your number pad and it generating an ascii character from the ascii table. No need to explain that... Just know that the character encoding can get hosed. If you want to make sure nothing will go wrong and want to use the visual editor you can. But I recommend doing this: Grab: Notepad++ And Spinning Cont. I was wondering why it worked so well for my posts. A beautiful, clean post with no leftover gibberish. (I had put it into Notepad before copying and pasting into the post) I'm wondering if it's alright not to use the html tab if I use Notepad to clean the post up first? In most cases pasting it in as text in the visual editor (using the paste as text button) it will be fine. If the articles is already spun and not in spinner syntax then it will obviously be fine as well. Mrtrance: Is the updated version able to do this now? So we can add a number of cities and then do our draft, save it and it will generate those posts. Then if I go back and want to add another set of cities using the same draft do we just delete the cities that have already have posts and paste in the new ones to generate the new posts to the earlier ones that are already there? Yes that's exactly what I did, the process is slightly different but it works really well to populate a site quickly. 1. Set up cities in shortcodes 2. Write post with the shortcode in content 3. Save draft 4. Publish posts/pages 5. Replace cities in shortcode tab 6. Save draft 7. Publish posts/pages etc. Hopefully that makes sense but that's what I did, the only thing to remember is that if you ever hit delete pages/posts, it will delete every single post/page ever created from that draft. Steve Solo: a newbie like myself, will i be able to follow the video instruction and use the plugin,..or will I need to get a comp. tech to help me?hmmm thanks Andres Replied - I made sure the video was very detailed, step-by-step on how to install the plugin, register it, and how the different options work. But if for some reason you get stuck just open up a support ticket and I can help. Roger Gonzales: Can we also add spunned content in the title of the post?, Does the spin tool work with nested paragraphs? No spun content in the title of post. Primarily you want to just worry about having your targeted keyword in there and keep it as keyword rich as possible to have the full SEO advantage. *** Confirmed To Work - I think Don mentioned that nested spinning does work but I'm not 100% sure. Pmc2001: One major flaw in the system I do not like is the the path includes the local page directory. Any fix to that please it reads www.domain.com/localpage/q.php Then it does not seem to work with permalinks like keyword.html That's just the url when you're working with the draft, that never gets published or seen by anyone. The actual pages/posts that are created from that draft follow the permalink settings you have set up. Bostoncitymass: Quick question. With the previous version it was letting me post a list about 250 then I would create a subdomain to add more cities. Should we still do that or will the updated version handle a big list all on one domain. Not sure if this was already answered, but there are a ton of pages for this thread and didn't have time to search to see if this was answered already. You still have limitations as to the number you can do all in one click but now since you can add multiple shortcodes, there's no need to create subdomain to add more cites. Just add a new shortcode with the new cities and use that shortcode in a new post/page. This will make more sense once you start playing with it but it's really helpful because you can now create all your shortcodes with the cities. ex: city1, city2, city3, city4, etc. Create a new local page using city1 shortcode, save draft, publish pages/posts, change city1 to city2, save draft, publish pages/posts, and just go down the line. Within minutes you can knock out a few states that way. Pmc2001: What is a syntax spinner articles...I have no clue lol Syntax that spinners put out... Like: Quick brown fox jumped over the lazy {dog|cow|turtle|rabbit}. Pmc2001: Is article spin part of the next update Jeremy...thanks This plugin will never be a "spinner", BUT as of right now (the last update) you are able to use the spin syntax that you get from other spinners such as The Best Spinner, Spinner Chief (free) , SpinChimp, etc So, you can take your {article|text|content} that {looks|seems|appears} like this, and {load|put it|use it} in the plugin to get {Unique|original|non duplicate} content on any of your {sites|posts|pages} If you are one of those that {buys into|believes in} the duplicate content {myth|lie|bullshyt}. MFoliot: I downloaded the update and installed. Created short code for city and Province (i am in Canada). Loaded 215 cities and put in the appropriate 215 provinces. Local Page fully optimized. every time i click on Build pages / post button, i end up with a server error time out. My WP is hosted on GoDaddy. Also reduced the number of cities to 100. same thing happened (time out, Internal server error). Any ideas on how to address Could be another plugin you have that's causing issues. Do happen to have w3 cache or some other caching plugin? If so just disable while you're building pages and turn it back on when you're done. If you don't have other plugins then it's probably the hosting. I'm pretty sure godaddy is windows based which makes wordpress run a bit slower. MFoliot: Andres. as you know WP send ping back for approval on pages. Am i correct in assuming that we should approve all these pingback? I'm pretty sure when you get pingbacks, it means that someone has linked back to your site/page. I don't think it's the same thing as Wordpress sending a ping everytime a post is created. Zerofill: August 3rd,2011. We are a couple days early on the new update. Version 1.5 has been released! You should now have much less trouble with character encoding screwing up your spinning. Page templates and post templates etc... should work now for you. Exclude pages plugin and many other plugins that were available for the normal post or page sections is now available in Local Pages. Titles can now be spun! And some other odds and ends... You can click the upgrade option in your Local Pages menu. If it doesn't show you the update is available. You can deactivate and delete the current one installed and download the new one from: Filcan: Excuse my impatience but how would you monetize an Amazon review site? How would I use the plugin for that? What would be the strategy? It's all interchangeable... Instead of using "cities", you could just as easily use MODEL #'S , brands, sizes, colors, etc..... Think electronics, appliances, clothes, etc... DianaLensbury: I'm having HUGE problems executing this plugin with any consistency but it's difficult to get any help from my web host because they don't know what the program does. First of all it wouldn't run for more than 30 seconds without timing out but after a lot of research I had my web host update the following within my php.ini file... max_execution_time = 600 max_input_time = 600 ...after which it ran perfectly (although it took 9 minutes to create 200 pages). I ran it again but it timed out so I cut the cities in half and it successfully created 100 pages. Now it's timing out after 1 minute so I can't get it to create any more pages. I've been having these kind of problems for days where it will run successfully once but after that it will time out in a shorter space of time. It's as if it's taking resources and not releasing them. Can anybody give me possible suggestions as to what my web host could look at? I'm on a dedicated server (Rackspace) so I'm at liberty to change whatever I want. From the multiple installations I've taken a look at it's probably being cause by another plugin that also works on per post/page basis. For example one of the ones I saw was an RSS Feed plugin that creates a new feed for every single post and automatically submits them to feed agregators. Normally that's not an issue but since our plugin makes a lot of pages/posts at once, it's just too much to handle. Another one that seems to conflict is Caching plugins. Just disable those while you're making local pages/posts and then enable again when you're done. Paul Campbell Asked - Andres Replied: With the new update, 1.51, the SEO Pressor option is back in there. Just remember to use the shortcodes in the main keyword and it will populate them in the corresponding posts/pages. P.S. Easiest way to get update is to do it through your wordpress backend. Webmarketer: I want to be sure that I didn't misunderstand it. I would ask the question again this time in detail. "IF I have a draft, say about a topic in cities in Wyoming and the plugin generated the pages, will updating the SAME DRAFT--in cities of Wyoming--after editing the contents of the said draft, overwrite the generated pages with the edited/new info OR add pages." I'm thinking it will overwrite the same generated pages substituting the content with our edits and NOT ADD new pages since I did not make a new post/draft anyway, I just updated the same draft. So I ask because it runs counter to your post 74. In the new version, if you need to edit any of the content and you want it to apply to all the pages created, then the steps would be: 1:Go to the Local Page and hit Delete Built Pages/Posts. 2.Edit your draft adding in any of the content you wish to add or remove anything you want to remove. 3. Make sure to not change the title of the draft. 4. Save draft 5. Build pages/posts. Basically what it's doing is deleting the already created pages and then recreating them with the new content. The reason you don't want to change the title is so that you can keep your rankings already established and it only looks like you edited the content, not created a whole brand new page or post. Karakoram: I'm guessing here, but if you do this with a spun title, won't the plugin create new titles for the new posts, so Google will show "not found" for the old pages they indexed? Yes I'm pretty sure that's what would happen so it's something you have to keep in mind if you're going to be spinning titles. Personally I like my titles to be as keyword rich as possibly and ideally an exact match to my desired keyword so I won't be spinning titles and it's not really necessary but a few people requested it so we added it. IMWhip: I ask you yesterday in regards to running 200-400 cities at a time running posts and you said to use {city}{city1}{city2} etc. I presume I go back to draft each time and edit the city placeholder in all the content, is this correct? If so how do I deal with the post tags that I added in the first posting set? Does that make sense? Or if I am wrong can you let me know how to run them, I ran a search on this thread but nothing but older posts came up. Yes, you go in and change to the correct shortcode. As far as the tags, you'll have to delete the ones in there and add in the new ones. The way I do it, I have notepad opened with the tags already copied and then I do search and replace for city1 and change to city2, etc. Waynewalters: I did a search and don't recall seeing this particular situation about indexing. I posted a site this morning with 1612 posts for my state. When I run Google's site:domain.com test it shows me 25 results so far out of the 1612 posts. No biggie about that, I'm patient. The weird thing is the first result shows the first 10-15 words of my article, the second result shows the description I put in All in One SEO for my article and the other 23 results all say "Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post. Search for: Search for: ..." Has anyone experienced that? You're seeing 2 things... in some of the results, you are seeing the page description, and in the others you are seeing the tags information....Not really a whole lot you can do about that... Rudypies: I went through all of the Q&A and I don't thingI have a question if it's possible to tag a video within the post with {city}. If so, can this be a video from YouTube or it would have to one uploaded onto my server. I'm working on my friend's roofing company website and I'd like to add some instructional videos. it will work with Video for sure, just put your keyword right above or below where you are embedding. {city} State Roofer or whatever it is that you are targeting.... Compiled Faqs from Pages 30 and Beyond Subprime1: I've had duplicate page creation issues, but it's always been because my server times out the script, then I hit publish again. I built out a 800+ page site and then had to go back and manually de-dupe a bunch of pages. The easiest way I found to do that: From the sitemap I used "search/find" [ctrl+f] for the "-2" that gets appended to the dupe titles. Then I just clicked through to each page and trashed it. There may be an easier way. How do you handle it? Jswanson: Thanks Big Hombre! One other question, they spoke about a free plugin that buyers will receive that is the bomb! We're still waiting on that too, correct? And honestly, it's not a big deal, I'm just curious. I want to make sure I didn't miss anything. Yes that is still coming. We want to be sure we release the videos and the other plugin all at once so it's less of a hassle for you guys. Jeffbell: I've been reading this looong thread... Didn't seem how many drafts you can save, and will changing one effect the other You can have as many drafts as you want. I typically do one draft per keyword I'm trying to target. Russ1395: 1. Will the posts show up in Google along with the homepage? 2. Do you have to completely finish the site for all of the pages/posts to show up in Google? 1) Yes if you mean will the actual posts rank 2) No... not at all. Warrior0112: Is the CMS Post control even needed for Version 5.1? No... since it won't generate on an autosave out of the blue. DSG: Short code question. How do I input short codes for two named states? I have {state} for Wa, {state Long} for Washington. What do I use for Washington State? {Long State} Or {state Long Long} <<that right there cracked me up. Maybe you could code it for example, so that {Abbrev State} = Wa, {State} = Washington, {State Long} = Washington State. I'm just building my first site and ran into this. There are 10 two named States by the way. You can name the shortcodes anything you want, it's entirely up to you. You could name your {WA} shortcode 'Smurfs' & your {Washington} shortcode 'Care Bears' if you wanted. The only thing you would need to do is in your content, the article, to show the name Washington, you would have to use the shortcode {Care Bears} (curly bracketed of course) in the copy. What I did for my long and short states, I simply used {or} for OR, and {or long} for Oregon. When I start on Washington tonight I'll use {wa} for WA and {wa long} for Washington. The 'shortcode' names are or, or long, wa, wa long respectively (no curly brackets for the shortcode names proper). Waynzworld69: I would deeply appreciate help with the following questions: 1. Are we getting an updated version of LPN today? Not that I've heard. The latest version is 1.5.1 and released several days back. 2. When I create a post it works perfectly, yet when I go to my website I get 10 duplicate copies of the post, but with different states. I.E. 1 post is dog training alaska, next post is dog training alabama, etc. Why and how do I fix? There's nothing to be fixed, LPN is doing exactly what it is supposed to. 3. I write my own, unique article, so is there any reason for spinning it? Only if you want the posts/pages to read differently. If I need to spin, do I have to buy best spinner, or can I spin it with {word|another word} within the post? Manually spinning is perfectly OK. LPN is coded to do the spinning as long as you 'Tokenized' {great|best|most awesome|etcetera, etcetera} the article. You can also use Spinning Software, as long as you paste/import it into the HTML text field (where you write your article in WP). I believe that LPN can only use it's 'Spin Engine' in HTML mode. Warriors, please correct me if I'm wrong on this. 4. I add 2-3 banners to the right of the post on my blog. Is this OK or not? Please explain why if it is not OK. Perfectly fine. You can monetize your site any way you want. Right side, left side, top, bottom, inbetween, before, after, 2 banners, 16 banners, 4 right 3 left, 1 banner at the beginning, AdSense, CPA, etc., etc., etc. Or nothing at all, you get to make all the decisions. Pmc2001: Me too, i need a link to Jeremy's conversion plugin. Here you go guys. Core Conversion plugin Eddie J: I need to find out the answer to this LPNers. I made a mistake when I first started and put a short code in my categories. blue widgets in {city} Well, that's what they look like on my site. If I fix those, will I lose all of those ranked pages?? Will they show up as 404 when someone clicks them? Or maybe there is a plugin that hides the categoy but still allows all the pages to work? I'll add my two cents, since I've seen you ask this question a couple of times. In simple terms, if you set your permalinks to just show the postname in the url ( /%postname%/ ), then you should not lose rankings. Ex. You'll lose your rankings if the url of the ranked pages look like this: www.yourdomain.com/category/postname It shouldn't affect the ranked pages if urls look like this: www.yourdomain.com/postname Check the ranked pages urls and see how they look. If it's just the postname in the url, you should be ok to change your category name. If it really concerns you, run an article through LPN strictly as a test in a test category. Get it ranked for something easy and obscure, then change the category and see what happens. Erinbro: Help please - I have been having problems ever since I have started using the updated version. I am getting this message after I try to Build Pages: Fatal error: Call to undefined function set_post_format() in /home/erinbro/public_html/hairnewyork.net/wp-content/plugins/local-pages/local-pages-core.php on line 402 If anyone has had this problem also and has a solution could you please pm me. I would be very grateful for any help. I will also send in a ticket but would really like to get this fixed asap. One thing I found out when I was getting the 402 error was the theme I was using. I was playing around with a theme that was not compatible with this plugin. So I switched to another WP Theme I have and it worked without the 402 error. Jagreen78: Could I install the plugin, load my cities, create a draft, let the plugin create all of my posts and then remove the plugin? Yes, once they pages/posts are built, removing the plugin will not do anything to them. latinguy20: How are your permalinks setup? Also make sure you are including the shortcode in the title of the post or else all 10 posts will have the same title, hence the -3 Finally, make sure in the draft inside Local Pages, that the permalink shown on that page does not have a -3 attached to it. I think there's something to be said about deleting trash between doing a new build on an draft that has been edited. Because before I took out the trash, the number on the end of the permalink went to four. So I think it was counting my resaved drafts, regardless of deleting my builds. Hope this helps future improvements. Reimer: So what is the point of local SEO if your site will be under the google places listings? 1. to get a new site into google places you pretty much have to have a website on the first page. (it helps a lot) 2. Not all traffic goes to google places. many searches want more than just an address and phone number. 3. showing first page rankings is a great way to get a clients trust automatically as far as your skills go. 4. There isn't a point. Greenacres: I'd like to know if the WP Super Cache plugin is compatible? Is anyone using it with LPN? I recommend disabling it while you're building out the pages/posts. Once you're done, you can enable it again. Same goes for any other plugins that might interfere with the building of pages/posts or any plugin that automatically does something after building a page or post. Like an rss feed creator or ping.fm, etc. Wild Card: I know this doesn't pertain to the LPN but if anyone knows an easy way to lose the Comments feature from Wordpress, I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to have to moderate hundreds of spam comments every day. (I've tried the Hide Comments plugin with no satisfaction) not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but if from your dashboard you go to... Settings ------------->Discussion ---------> Then uncheck the option to allow people to comment on new content (might say articles or posts) If you want to remove existing comments, you can do this... Go to your posts - Select them all, and choose the option to edit under bulk actions and choose do not allow for comments and then hit apply or update. *scroll down the page and you should see options to "allow comments" and "allow trackbacks and pinging" or something like that. Uncheck them and the comments should be closed when you publish your post/page. Wild Card Replied To Purpleman87 - *I could be totally wrong, but what you have suggested will not allow coments to be posted but it will not remove the comment box on the page. Zerofill Replied - Basically what shows up for comments is in the comments.php file in almost all themes. So you can either go to appearance-->editor and click on the comments.php file and delete everything in it and save... so that when the page goes to include it there is no content in it. Or you can go to single.php and page.php and look for: Code: <?php comments_template( '', true ); ?> and just replace it with: Code: <?php // comments_template( '', true ); ?> The slashes just tell it to ignore that function call and thus the comments template never gets loaded. But probably other ways to do it... just the way I always do it heh.. Because many themes out there ignore the discussion being turned off and still show a form or "comments closed" notice. Pupster Responded With - Removing the comments box on the 3.0 versions of WP : [1] Load post or page > quick edit > uncheck 'allow comments' [2] Settings > Discussion > un-check 'allow people to post comments' [3] click screen options on either Post/Page Dashboard and un-check 'comments' This worked like a charm without touching Code. Subprime1 Replied To Obx08 In Response To HostGator Problems: Has anyone figured out why some of us can only do like 20-30 posts before it times out and gives a 404 error? ... The general train of thought was could be a host issue....but so many people use hostgator ...so idk Most of the timeouts I've experienced are when I build pages with a lot of text, video, images and complex shortcode variables, like (long-kw-phrase+city+st). With a complex setup like that I would sometimes timeout even building only 25 pages at a time. But with simple pages it's not a problem. Yesterday I put up a site and each build took a couple of seconds. It was so fast I wasn't even sure it was working. Those pages were simple text with one image and a shortcode that holds two variables {city+st}. Quote: Originally Posted by DSG I was having the same issues and emailed support about it. I use Hostgator too and am not done investigating this, theres got to be some way to increase the maximum timeout setting. If I find a way I will let the forum know. I checked with HG and the only way to increase the 30-second script execution limit (or whatever it's called) is to upgrade to VPS or dedicated. They told me that VPS Level 3 would be equivalent in performance to their shared hosting plan (business level). DSG Responded - RE: Hostgator maximum timeout fatal error. I just got off the reseller forum and it led me to a support post by Hostgator i copied it below. PHP settings that cannot be changed PHP has been configured to use the following settings on our shared and reseller servers: safe mode = Off (cannot adjust) memory_limit = 64M (MAXIMUM) max_execution_time = 30 (MAXIMUM) max_input_time = 60 (MAXIMUM) post_max_size = 64M (MAXIMUM) upload_max_filesize = 64M (MAXIMUM) enable_dl = Off (cannot adjust) The above settings either CANNOT be changed or cannot be exceeded on a shared and reseller account. These limits are set to prevent extremely high resource usage in shared environments. We have found that a majority of the PHP scripts will work within these limits, and the scripts that require more resources are best suited for a VPS or dedicated server. Dedicated servers and VPS can change and raise these settings to any value desired. Dedicated Server and VPS customers with WHM access can change the limit by going to WHM > Service Configuration > PHP Configuration Editor. Warrior0112: Is anyone using Artisteer themes with the LPN plugin? For the most part haven't had any issues, but sometimes you may encounter one. Artisteer while a nice tool... can be a pita with some things. eQuus: This is for adsense, clickbank, etc. What I want to know is how to insert ads for local professionals like plumbers, dentists, etc. If your going to be doing a bunch of sites and putting clients on those sits. I recommend... Either using something like core conversion or runnng an ad server like openX... OpenX is actually a godsend for things like this because you can add every site you own... make every category in it a zone.... every draft you make can hold the code for that zone in it. Then in openX you can change ads in a heartbeat. But it will take some reading on your part to understand openX etc. LNP Update 1.5.2 Aug. 10, 2011 Mister Natural: So these "timeouts" are the result of people attempting to submit in numbers to large for their "shared hosting" to process? Is that correct? Yeah execution of the script... hostgator for example sets a max execution time for a script to 30 seconds. Apparently can only change it if you are on a reseller account. Kuhndawg: Any chance you would be willing to to share how you are doing your backlinks? Is that 30 for each page made by Local Pages? Kuhndawg, What I used was 'SEO Link Dominator' by the Warrior Stephen Hawkins. It is/was available for free to WAR ROOM members. It Indexes and Pings. Two separate processes. I used it's lowest set of indexing backlinks, 170 on my root domain. And then a day later ran my Sitemap.XML through the ping list, guessing there's maybe 40 or 50 in the default list. And of course the ping list on my created posts in WordPress proper. Absolutely nothing more was done. Waynzworld69: I created my first posts 5 days ago. 1,100 total posts. I just ran Rank Tracker for the first time today. I am averaging 60 visitors to my new site daily with this. I went to Backlink Supercharger to index, Social and RSS bookmark and that was 5 days ago. My results: 349 keywords checked. 10 top 100 listings. 3 on page #1, but for smaller cities. My question: I just checked and I have only 3 posts indexed out of 1,100. What did I do wrong? Nothing wrong, Google just indexes posts at different intervals. When you get the majority of them indexed, you'll notice that there will still be a few that don't get picked up on that round. It's really hard to say when they will index the full site or how long it would take. I've had some brand new sites indexed in a matter of hours and others have taken up to a week and a half. Whateva: How do I make a certain page that has been developed as my main index page. eg currently my index page is http://mydomain.com but the town it shows is a small 2 bit small town, but I want http://mydomain.com/p-62 to be my main page as this is the major town in the area. Make a page with what you want on it... Go to settings-->reading... select the page as your static front page from the drop down. E30drifter: I have a question...I looked at the last video, and you said after renting this page out, edit something...Is it shortcode what you are editing and if it is, how do you do this, delete it from the list or what?? He went into the specific shortcode for the city and deleted the city he had rented from the list so the post/page would not be updated by the plugin in the future if you decided to go back and change anything. If you are using multiple shortcodes and timing the rotation around the number of terms (500 city entries with 500 state entries for example), this could get tricky. Personally, I don't plan to update the posts/pages after they are generated (maybe I am missing something or being short sighted) so it's a non-issue. Union: Also, can i ask u, for example, if im using your SOFT with NEW VERY COMPETITIVE NICHE in a BIG City, Like New York, LA, Chicago, San Francisco... is here a chance to be on top of Google with Your Soft ? If you can give me guarantee about, ill buy it right away. If your keywords are VERY COMPETITIVE ie new york city locksmith or California plastic surgeon there isn't a software in the world that is going to guarantee you first page rankings - But as you can see from this thread.... 1. People are making money 2. People are getting hundreds of post/pages on the first page of Google. the only thing I can guarantee is that the plugin works the way we advertised it E30drifter: I am running into a problem...When I fill out all in one seo like {city} and then {something|something else} it comes out exactly {something|something else} it doesn't spin it...what I am missing? The all in one fields aren't spinnable. They are such short content that the shortcodes are enough. Plus hard to add spinning to every field from every possible seo plugin that someone could be using. YellowGreenMedia: For the people with the time out problems, i have fixed it like this open wp-config.php look for: Quote: /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ Before that sentence ad this Quote: set_time_limit(120); This solved my problem with the timing out issue on hostgator, you can change the amount of seconds, but 120 was enough for me... i have no idea how far you can push it with this fix. Subprime1 Added - UPDATE: This worked awesome for posts, but I'm still timing out with pages. I can only build 5-15 pages per run. Any ideas why that would work with posts but not pages? I'm baffled... Guess I'll try the VPS solution after all. Or just build post-only sites, which I don't like for some unexplainable reason. Andres Added - Do you have any other plugins besides All In One SEO, Yet Another Related Post, and Sitemap XML activated? The few times I've seen the low pages per run is b/c there's another plugin installed that slows it down. Subprime1 Added - Thank you Andres. I didn't really think about that. I did have a few plugins running. I'll disable and run a test right this second.... I've disabled every plugin except AIO and LPN... ... I'm back, and... didn't work. Actually I cant even unbuild/delete with one variable without timing out right now. It's gotta be my shared hosting. MisterE: Core Conversion is something I do want to take advantage of, but the way I've brainstormed the use of it it would be better utilized for affiliate sales or CPA . I'm not sure if Core Conversion can be used on an individual post created by LPN. Now, it could be used on a separate individual subdomain I'm sure. I have both LPN and Core Conversion and you can go back and have it work on individual posts/pages. You can set it up that way after the fact (ie you had created the post before ever hearing of Core Conversion) or when you originally created the post/page. I agree that Core Conversions seems to be better suited to affiliate and CPA marketing but I'm still using it with the LPN aspect for affiliate stuff that can be broken down in searches on a local level and then writing up a good article about the service/offer and just having it go directly to the sales page rather than my article. Where I think Core Conversions and LPN would work great together with actual offline clients is doing "packages" of cities/suburbs/neighborhoods (say targeting 10 for a client) and doing up the article with the short codes and then having it go directly to the client's website using Core Conversion. Either as you write it or going back and adding it in after you GET a client. Jeremy Added - Actually, core conversions is GREAT to use for your clients sites....You can set it up to display your clients regular website for every visitor that hits the page...so, it's almost like giving your client a first page rank for their existing site without CHANGING ANYTHING on their end.... Goviralnow: Just to let you all know. It works the same with Platinum SEO as with All In One SEO. Freemind: Newbie question: what to do best with the permalink? Should it be a custom one with the postname or leave it as it standardly is? On the permalinks do a custom one. Either: /%postname%/ or /%category%/%postname%/ I like the second one for an extra keyword and some separation of post titles, but some folks like the first one. Suit yourself on that one. Freemind: Other question: the backlinking is only necessary to the main domain or also to the different pages/posts to rank high? For backlinks I do the main domain. I'm also looking for ways to backlink and promote thousands of posts. I think the easiest way might be to create RSS feeds of the post URLs and submit them to RSS directories and also ping the RSS feeds. Bulk backlinkers are the way to go with this many posts/pages. 1constant: Is there a problem using video or widgets in your post or page or will this pose a problem with duplication or premature timing-out? I've not had an issue with timing up, but yes, you can use video and images. Tilt: My question at this point in time is about Sub.Domains verses Domain.com/Folders. I remember an early post before I started keeping copious notes about it, then Stacy mentioned EVEN getting Sub.Domains Ranked, oh my, was that for the .info domains or domains in general? I purchased more than a few domains with the intent of going with city|state.keywords.com but could switch it over or do both a see if there is a difference, but why experiment if it is a settled discussion eh? Hey Tilt, I said "even" my subdomains rank because I've heard some people spout off that subdomains can't rank or they don't rank well. So I was saying it that way to dispel that myth if others had heard it. I actually will do stuff both ways - subdomains and folders - just depends on what I feel "reads" better when looking at the url. Honestly I don't think it matters because at the end of the day your subdomain or your folder are just wordpress installs and you get the same functionality with tags and all in one seo. The only thing that I can tell is "different" - but shouldn't cause penalization is the "layout" of the url - you know keyword.domain.com versus domain.com/keyword So I say - go with whatever you like to do better. I just tend to prefer subdomains personally. Oh, and yes, the subdomains that were ranking were on .info domains. So I have two supposed rumored elements that don't rank coming together and ranking anyway - a subdomain on a .info. :-) Do keep in mind that I'm amazingly awesome - so maybe it just works for me. Seriously, if you are doing your onsite SEO for local stuff and they aren't super competitive keywords and cities- .infos and subdomains - even together - CAN and WILL rank on page 1. Pupster: if I set up my posts to be Categorized a certain way but then I was thinking of changing them to being Categorized by State-City for ease of organization in the Dashboard, can I do a quick edit and change the Category without effecting anything else. If I'm understanding correctly what you're asking, if you change the category in the draft, then it should change whatever it is for that draft site wide. Pupster: Mind you that my Category is not currently in my URL as seen in the permalink structure, just that the posts are Categorized in general through an original configuration I set up and figured that I could better organize if I set them up via City-State and then just switch them. My advice is to keep it as simple as humanly possible, and then make tweaks based on either your results, or to make changes to individual posts/pages when you land a client with them, or when that post/page is getting traffic due to the keyword that is bringing visitors. Filcan: Need help fixing a problem. I have 100+ pages indexed and on position 1 top in Google. That is just fantastic except that when I click on the link I get a "Not Found The page you requested could not be found". I can only assume I deleted the pages that are ranking No1. when I upgraded the pluging and had a bunch of errors on it. The good thing is that on position 2 is also mine except that it does not look good to have a dead link on pos. 1. Is there anyway to easily fix it? It's indexed and ranking for nearly 100 pages but it's all a dead link. How can I get the content back while keeping the exact same ranking url? I had the exact same problem. Since I deleted and rebuilt some pages ,the deleted pages are still cached in google. Here is a simple work around. install the "404 to start" plug in and you can set it to redirect the 404 errors. I just have it set to redirect to my main CPA offer like the rest of the site. PUBLIC NOTICE: MisterE did a FREAKIN' PHENOMENAL JOB on maintaining and updating this thing. Personally, I think he deserves a FREAKIN' MEDAL. And beers! And other goodness best left up to the imagination!!! THREE CHEERS for MisterE's yeoman work herein! Huzzah! Hip-hip-hurray! Double Plus Woot! |

Is there any way if you are in middle of setting up campaign to save it if you cannot complete it at present time. I am hesitant to save as draft as it might create pages/posts without campaign being complete and I will then have to delete all pages/posts and start over. Thanks, Rick |

This tool is awesome. This thread has some great info, and is kind of entertaining at times as well. I'm all in with a private group. This TOOL can literally change your life. Truly, IF YOU ARE WORKING you can create so many money pages in such a short amount of time, it's awe inspiring. Then, of course, you need to have at least a bit of BINISS CENTS to actually make the money. What I've discovered is the majority of people on this forum lack either the "time or want to" to get things done, or the biniss cents to make money. OR BOTH!!! Not everybody, but a damn lot of you. Course, I guess that summarizes our society today, doesn't it...... |

Thanks for the reply. Are you talking about reinstalling from the Paypal redirct page or the Localninjapage.com website. If its the localninjapage.com website I have to install it directly to WP. I am not sure how to do that, any pointers. Thanks Mike

Hello Jon, I reinstalled it where it says "click here to get your purchase" and it shows the same thing. On it shows the plugin but its not zipped so wp wont take it. Plus it says that i have to install it myself. Sorry for the dupe reply I thought this would be easier Thanks Mike |

The floating FAQs are awesome, thanks for putting them together. Please folks... Do not quote the FAQs just to write a mini blurb or comment as it makes it a PITA for those of us scrolling thru on phones or tablets. Takes up the whole page just to reread them. Thanks to all for the great tips, I'm planning my 'attack' and will be joining those of you with success stories very soon!!! |

Just as an update - few hours ago I posted re my site not being indexed. Okay, it must have occurred very recently since no tool checker has indicated it's been indexed but the URL's have when typed in. Out of 185 pages, only 9 have been indexed so far...and I trust in a matter of a few more hours, the rest will follow. Now for the very first results (first few hours of being indexed) KW: 1- Rank:23 Competition: 454,000 KW: 2- Rank:25 Competition: 4,420,000 KW: 3- Rank:25 Competition: 7,470,000 KW: 4- Rank:27 Competition: 3,250,000 KW: 5- Rank:28 Competition: 1,020,000 KW: 6- Rank:31 Competition: 2,940,000 KW: 7- Rank:33 Competition: 4,180,000 KW: 8- Rank:40 Competition: 6,090,000 KW: 9- Rank:42 Competition: 6,610,000 Quite staggering considering the competition and the fact they just appeared out of nowhere in those positions. Will keep posting updates of their progress and other pages being indexed. I deliberately wanted to test this against high competition ($10 test, what the heck) to see how it would hold up and well...I really need say no more. |

I understand. It's not difficult to get ranked page 1 in the first spot. The problem is it can't be easily scaled like with LPN. Yesterday I had LPN create 34 pages. I took 3 of them with my method and literally dropped them in the # 1 spot within 18-31 minutes. It can be time consuming, though. So, my method has 3 pages sitting at the top of google wondering when LPN is going to catch up. Also, I have pages listed above places. Actually 3 different urls for the same keyword. So it is possible. Shoot me an email, and I'll be glad to show you any of this.

As long as you're using the latest version of LPN you can save drafts without building pages.
