I can't recommend this course more strongly. Warriors, grab it while you can. I'm heading off to WSO Plus to sign up as an affiliate. The first WSO that has impressed me enough to do so.

It's not often I comment on WSO's, as most of the ones I purchase aren't good at all.

There are some additions I'd add to your course (such as the inclusion of a robots.txt file, talk about the benefits of admin must approve the comments etc) but overall it's a very wholesome course and is FAR BETTER than most WSO's on Wordpress I've seen.

It's probably the best step by step Wordpress security course I've seen on the Warrior Forum.

Congratulations on something you should be extremely proud of Sanjay!

I bought a similar wp security WSO about a month back and all credit due to his WSO but this one is absolutely TOP!

You have gone into such detail(more important - ALL on video), it doesn't get easier.

This is a topic which is highly neglected and the dangers are in 99%, totally underestimated. Most people believe "oohhh...that only happens to others" HOW WRONG THEY ARE!!!!

To describe the "how To's" on paper is a hard task but your vids have made this a walk...truly GREAT STUFF!

You offered a supplimental guide regarding the Database Name...I would be more than interrested in seeing that on video...please do that

many thanks for the low price and I STRONGLY suggest that fellow warriors grab this...even if they are not monetizing their sites!

cheers

What I especially appreciated was the fact that you didn't just tell us what to do, but you explained why we should do it. Knowing the why is very helpful in further understanding what, to me, is a bunch of gobblygook to begin with.

Between the videos and the pdf, I don't know how anyone could fail to implement these security precautions. Yeah, it was scary at times, but I gathered my courage and kept going because I knew I had the backups, just as you insisted.

Again, thank you for taking the time to create this excellent tutorial for us.

Take care,

The plugins that you recommend are great, they really did make it step by step easy to follow along with what they have you do to make your blog secure. And the guide shows you exactly what to do, so if you are new to securing your blog or working with Wordpress, Sanjay is there to show you how to do it the right way.

You just do a couple of the items on the list and you will gain confidence at how easy it really is to make your blog bulletproof.

Thanks, Sanjay for a great product!

Micheal
Dear Fellow Warrior,

If just one of your sites is earning only a few dollars a day, and you are running it on Wordpress, then you should know:

Your Wordpress Site(s) Are At Risk!

It's much worse if your sites are making more. The more they make, the more this will potentially hurt you.

There are people working around the clock to try and crack into your site and steal your commissions, rankings or worse ... sometimes BOTH!

If they find a pattern and they crack one site, they can go after many of them. (and if you used any scripts like Fantastico to install it, then there IS a pattern).

In fact as recently as early August 2011 a report posted by Russian security researcher Denis Sinegubko identified 4,358 WordPress blogs with infected images.

In another piece of news a commonly used and very popular plugin (still listed in the plugin directory) left a backdoor completely open to anyone who has even an elementary knowledge of databases.

Blindly installing plugins (even popular ones) can be a bad idea.

Even the very company that is responsible for creation of the wordpress code base was compromised in April 2011.

Matt Mullenweg, the founding developer on wordpress recommended wordpress users change their passwords frequently and keep unique passwords for their website.

Who Am I and Why Am I Writing?

My name is Sanjay and after 15 years in Business Intelligence (that would be analytics for IMers), I discovered marketing skills and helped a friend of mine sell thousands of dollars of a book as well as a contract for $30K and another contract for over $20K as side effects of my marketing.

But then, a very embarrassing thing happened. My friend’s website was compromised and it just so happened - It was on wordpress.

We identified the issue and resolved it, but it was a MONEY SITE and had been consistently making a few thousand bucks a month (and a nice passive royalty for me).

Personally, I’ve worked in very secure environments, even as an administrator (such as for banks) and my friend has actually designed solutions where the server is in a cage (Yes, those do exist) and yes, if you can probably guess with 99% accuracy who it is for ... but it’s not important.

Nowadays you have redundant servers, replication in the cloud, mirrored transactions etc.

In the “old school way” we had to restore the entire system and network within 24 hours in another town using only backup tapes as a mandatory test from the government

It’s called “Business Continuity Planning”. You may have even heard the term “Disaster Recovery Testing”. Been there. Done That!

I was quite surprised at my friend’s lack of knowledge of wordpress security. His site was so open, when I saw it, I was surprised someone hadn’t already messed with it.

After all this guy knows about PGP, double encryptions, database security, biometrics, cryptography and a lot more (and he’s good at it) ... but his income earning wordpress site had some big holes in it.

So, I decided to create a step-by-step course on hardening your wordpress installation to show my friend how to secure his site which I am sharing with you and it’s called ...

Bullet Proof Wordpress

It’s a multi-media course that will show you how to take your existing wordpress site and make it dodge over 90% of the attacks out there.

Besides, you are probably aware, these crooks are looking for easy targets.

After you implement even half of the information, your wordpress site will be far from easy for these crooks to reach ...

In fact, if you implement everything I show you, they will have to crawl over broken glass to even try and make an attempt and you can be assured that you will be in a much stronger position than you have ever been.

What You Get ...

The course is split into 7 videos, an accompanying step-by-step PDF guide you can use as a checklist and a mind map PDF.

The first video is a walkthrough and the last is a conclusion.

Module 1: Backing Up Wordpress
Module 2: How to Secure Your Files (and avoid the most common mistake made by a majority of WP installations)
Module 3: How to secure your database the smart way
Module 4: Recommended settings on your blog and things you should watch out for (including a few myth busters and settings to tweak not available in the documentation)
Module 5: My favourite security plugins
Module 6: A few more words about security and why you should take it very seriously

UPDATE: New Modules Added

Module 7: Securing configuration file in a sub-directory
Module 8: Implementing a child theme for security

The 5 middle ones are steps. Steps you should follow and you will see me performing each step on one of my websites.

I've Bought 66 WSOs (and counting) to Date

And none of them covered anything like this.

This is my very first WSO, so please bear with me. While I’ve been in the game on other fronts and have real clients paying me to do stuff (especially offline), I’m still getting used to this place.

The information I share in this WSO is way too important for me to wait to share as it can literally save your business.

Since, I will stand by anything I put out, let me help you make the decision by eliminating all risk associated with getting your own copy of the course.

You are protected by a

60-Day Love It Or
Throw It In My Face
Money Back Guarantee

To be honest, at WSO prices, I don’t think people even need to offer guarantees. I've never asked for a refund for a WSO. But I don’t want even one penny of yours if you're not absolutely thrilled with your investment.

If for any reason you think the information is not worth at least 10 times your investment, just ask and I’ll give you every penny of your money back (and you can still keep the course - That’s how important I think it is that you have this information)

Do you think I’m crazy? Perhaps. But keep in mind, this is for goodwill and I’ve always seen it come back positive - Without Exception!

A Word Of Warning Before You Even
Think About Investing In Protecting Your Wordpress Sites

Here are reasons why you should NOT invest in this course (You won't find a soul who is so upfront in a sales letter and it goes against every marketing gimmick in the book).

It's Risky! Yes!

It may break your theme (or expose holes in it). - One setting breaks the OptimizePress theme for sure so you have to disable it which causes a potential security hole. (I'll show you which one).

It may break other things as well, so you are warned. Some plugins may stop working (they should not need access to certain areas of your installation and have been written incorrectly).

Also, keep in mind that you will have to roll up your sleeves and do stuff.

I’ve been through having my sites defaced and its not pretty (or fun)

For me implementing any form of security on my blog is a risk I'm willing to take. It's much better than leaving the door open to attackers (in some cases even giving them the impression that you’re inviting them).

How Much?

Less than it would cost you to go to a movie tonight for knowledge you can keep forever (or at least until the wordpress platform continues to exist).

It starts at a ridiculously low WSO price and will go up with every sale. When it gets released to the public, it will carry a price tag of $27 or more and the WSO will match the price. Even at $97 it's a bargain (Don't you just love WSOs)

If you want to make your site more secure (or even just increase your knowledge of wordpress security) then you want this product now.

If you have read this far, then you probably already have a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that is encouraging you to check it out. So click on the button below to claim your copy at the lowest possible price.

Bonuses?

Everybody gives bonuses right?

I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t even thought about them, but I’ll see what I can do and if I can arrange for some decent (and relevant) ones, I’ll drop it in the members area ... but no promises.

Sincerely,

Sanjay Pande

PS: Please don’t wait! Your wordpress website has holes and you need to plug as many as you can right now! Within the next hour you can lock it down.

PPS: Please leave your honest review below and help other warriors decide. Should they invest in this? Yes? No? Why? Why Not?

What Usage Rights Do I Have?

Rights - Personal use rights only. You may not share the videos with anyone except with 1 outsourcer (although I do not recommend entrusting security to a 3rd party). You are not allowed to share it with more than 1 person in your employ (permanent or outsource).

Can I use the information on my clients websites

Absolutely and you can charge them a pretty penny for it. 99% of folks don’t know how to do this and it’s an easy to add distinguishing factor in your offline consulting model. Very few are offering this service and many sites are getting defaced.

Can this potentially break my website

YES! Some of the steps CAN BREAK YOUR WEBSITE. DO NOT perform them if you are not comfortable restoring your wordpress site from a backup (There is one video in the course that walks you through a backup and the last section in the guide walks you through a restore).

If it’s so important, why don’t you share it for free.

In my opinion, it’s not in your best interests for me to give it to you free or else I would have. I’ll probably make a few bucks on a small WSO, but nothing to write home about. If you get it free, the chances of you actually learning and implementing will be so close to 0, my efforts of putting it together will be wasted. If you still want it for free, you can refund it and keep the course. Its free and there is no catch.

Are there any upsells?
No upsells, downsells or any other offers as part of this. You will get added to an e-mail list for updates of the product or bonus announcements.

Are there any affiliate links in the course.
Yes, but none of them are needed. They are only recommended and will help you. If there is a recommendation (with or without an aff link), then you can be sure that I own a copy.

Can you do this for me as a service?
NO. I really dislike consulting or the hours=money model and got out of IT because of it even at the peak of my career. In fact, I’ll be dumping all my offline clients soon as well because it’s turning into that again. Besides, I’m too expensive to do this personally.

What if I need support.
Support is via e-mail at sanshiwso[at]gmail.com - Make sure you put the name of the product in the subject line.

Can I download the videos/pdfs?
Yes, you can download the entire course and take it offline and watch it at your leisure. The videos and PDFs are available at the top of the page in the downloads section. They are on Amazon S3 but have a 15 minute timeout on the links. Refreshing the page usually works.

Can I not find all this information by browsing online?
Yes! you surely can. Most of it is available online, but nobody (I repeat nobody) will ever take you behind the scenes with look over my shoulder videos on one of their websites. It’s way too much work and it opens up holes in your security.

How long are the videos and the total time?
Introduction (Duration – 07:15)
Backing Up WordPress (Duration – 09:50) 17:05
Securing Files (Duration – 10:32) 27:37
Securing Your Database (Duration – 11:50) 39:27
Blog Settings (Duration – 16:34) 56:01
Security Plug-Ins (Duration – 07:39) 01:03:40
A Few Words On Security (Duration – 06:30) 01:10:10

Making it a little over an hour to watch them all.

How long will it take to implement everything?

Implementing first time while watching the videos may take you an hour or two. Once you know what you're doing, it shouldn't take more than 15-20 mins per installation.

All the videos are available in one big zip file on top of the page. The download link expires in 15 minutes, so you may have to refresh the page. If you are still having problems, let me know.

Thank you, Sanjay for your fast response to my email query and this WSO. If you're using WordPress, you can't do without this great offer. It comes with 2 PDFs including a clear mindmap and videos that explain the step-by-step processes to secure your blogs. The videos are in both Windows and Mac versions and are useful guides to implement the simple technical processes. As Sanjay recommends, it's good to backup your blog first before securing it. A good buy at $1.47.

Awesome course, I run 6 or 7 wordpress sites. I've been a techie and coder for years - but this saves me time and hassle. I no longer have to "wade through" the scores of articles, wondering which techniques to use, and which to avoid. Sanjay has clearly provided me with a tremendous value and points me in the right direction. I'm now able to secure all my wordpress sites in a matter of minutes. Thanks Sanjay!

Sanjay,

Your Wordpress security course is very well done - and that's a HUGE comment to get out of me!

Just got your product and I didn't even have to think about purchasing it. The price was so little but the value you are getting is priceless. I personally will not be doing the security updates but my VA will. I definitely do not want a hacker to hack my site. Thanks Sanjay for the look over the shoulder course.

Hi David,
That's the best encouragement I've had in the day so far. You made my day. I'll see if I can add a ROBOTS.txt explanation as well.

Thanks,

Thank you! Really appreciate it. You could even make your VA perform the service for someone else and charge a pretty penny for it ;-)

You should have been sent a password in the e-mail you used. Even if you do not have an account, you would have given an e-mail address. If not, just e-mail sanshiwso[at]gmail.com and I'll get you taken care of asap.

Leaving for a docs appt for the baby, so won't be back for a few hours in case you are waiting.

Hi Sanjay,

Gotta take my hat off to you for this one

I bought a similar wp security WSO about a month back and all credit due to his WSO but this one is absolutely TOP!

You have gone into such detail(more important - ALL on video), it doesn't get easier.

This is a topic which is highly neglected and the dangers are in 99%, totally underestimated. Most people believe "oohhh...that only happens to others" HOW WRONG THEY ARE!!!!

To describe the "how To's" on paper is a hard task but your vids have made this a walk...truly GREAT STUFF!

You offered a supplimental guide regarding the Database Name...I would be more than interrested in seeing that on video...please do that

many thanks for the low price and I STRONGLY suggest that fellow warriors grab this...even if they are not monetizing their sites!

cheers

I really appreciate the kind words. Thank you. As for the supplemental guide, I can create it, but it is quite a scary thing to do. I'll add it in anyway just because you asked for it, but it will take me some time.

Hi Sanjay,

I just purchased your WSO and went through it and started to lock down some of my blogs.

It's described step-by-step and if you follow the guide it is actually much easier to do than I thought it would be.

Thank you for your purchase. I really appreciate it. Yes, the guide walks through step-by-step which is what I like to usually get.

Hi Sanjay,

How long are the videos and the total time?

How long does it take to make the suggested modifications to each site?

Warmest regards,

Hi Ellery,
The videos are as follows:

Introduction (Duration – 07:15)
Backing Up WordPress (Duration – 09:50) 17:05
Securing Files (Duration – 10:32) 27:37
Securing Your Database (Duration – 11:50) 39:27
Blog Settings (Duration – 16:34) 56:01
Security Plug-Ins (Duration – 07:39) 01:03:40
A Few Words On Security (Duration – 06:30) 01:10:10

Making it a little over an hour to watch them all.

Implementing first time while watching the videos may take you an hour or two. Once you know what you're doing, it shouldn't take more than 15-20 mins per installation.

Does that help?

Please feel free to let me know if there are more questions.

Sanjay

Hi Sanjay,

Your WSO is looking pretty good to me. In your offer, you mention that it breaks the "Optimize Press" theme. Do you know if the "Thesis Theme" is similarly affected?

Best, Don

Hi Don,
I haven't tested it with Thesis, so I don't know. Just based on what I know about thesis (which is not much), I think it will do fine.

It's just one step that breaks optimizepress and you can disable (or not do that part). Unfortunately leaving that setting IS a security risk however going through all the other steps adds many layers for you.

I personally really like certain themes enough that I am willing to make some compromises.

Take Care,

Sanjay

Hey sanjaypande,
Just wanted to pop in here to than you for the bonus you placed on your website recently. I could not believe that I would get a bonus that gives so much essential info in four long videos. I have learnt so much from them, Thank you so much sanjaypande.

Having said that, I also want to thank you for such an excellent WSO. I recently got hacked on my server with several sites on it. If I would have had your WSO before then, I am sure it would not have happened.
All the best,

Gray

Sorry to hear about your server break-in. Yes, the info in this wso will ensure that a wp site is as secure as possible, but there are certain elements you cannot control (such as your host getting compromised). I hope you do have backups of everything.

Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you found value in the offering.

Sanjay

Hi Sanjay,

I just want to say thank you so very much for this security course. I'm a techno-idiot so I know I could not have done this without the step-by-step instruction.

Take care,

Poppie

I'm really glad you actually took the time to implement these measures. It will make your site way more secure than it has been.

It is risky. I wanted to make sure people understand that. Also, the fact that there is more risk in not implementing these measures.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience.

Thank you again.

Sorry I didn't come post this sooner, but I have over 100 blogs I have to update for security reasons and after reading your guide, I am making HUGE changes to the way I set up my blogs in the first place.

My sentiments, exactly, but I'd like to add a few comments.

For years I avoided using the WordPress platform for any of my sites because of the number of posts I saw, here and elsewhere, about WP sites being targeted by hackers and people's hard work being lost because of hijackers and hackers.

Even as recently as last week, I tried to overcome my paranoia (because of one or more trusted experts urging their members to use WP and I'd purchased a WP review theme which looked promising). But I gave up and deleted the whole shebang once I came across the need for changing permissions to wp-config.php file before running the script which I was reluctant to do (prompt from WP Security Scan). Rather than risk giving access to my server to a third party, I decided that I had better things to do with my time than mess around WP and its security issues. At least, without adequate knowledge and video instructions.

Although your course, Sanjay, has come a week too late for me for that site (I've since started a major project which needs my almost undivided attention), after watching every video demo, I'm delighted to say that all the mystery and fear have evaporated.

Your instructions are clear and easy to understand, even by a total techno-phobe.

Brilliant course, excellent value, worth many, many times the price. So glad I purchased. I can't thank you enough. You have given me more than practical help and information on this very important subject. WP sites, here I come with my new-found confidence! I'll be looking out for more of your WSOs. Send me an email alert when you launch your next one.

Just one thing is missing from the course which, I hope, you will add to the members' area.

The Robots Meta Tag Config Page in WP.

I'd like to know what all the options mean and do and which box to check or leave unchecked and as importantly, why.

I think it's in the All-in-One SEO plugin. As I don't have a WP site, I can't check to see exactly which. And the same topic would be great if addressed if Yoast is used, instead.

As an extra or bonus, I'd also like to see you also show us how to edit a theme (free: flexibility, or a premium theme like Thesis) without compromising security whilst doing so - example changing permissions whilst editing, etc.

I'd be happy to pay extra for the "bonus" (suggested above) if it appeared as a WSO.

I can't recommend this course more strongly. Warriors, grab it while you can. I'm heading off to WSO Plus to sign up as an affiliate. The first WSO that has impressed me enough to do so.

James

Of course you will be the first to know. This was my first one, so I was quite nervous. Your words really encourage me.

I'll see what I can do. There are some requests for .htaccess videos as well. No promises and it will take some time.

I'd be happy to pay extra for the "bonus" (suggested above) if it appeared as a WSO.
There are so many themes (even premium ones) that it would be difficult to show this. If you follow the steps in this course, you will know when a theme breaks and can reverse that particular step and move on to the next one.

I can't recommend this course more strongly. Warriors, grab it while you can. I'm heading off to WSO Plus to sign up as an affiliate. The first WSO that has impressed me enough to do so.
Thank you. I really appreciate it. And you've been approved as an affiliate. If you've bought the course, you are in the best position to recommend it.

Thanks again

Sanjay

Thanks. Will look forward to that. .htaccess is of real interest, particularly if you are able to produce one where exclusions (of certain IP addresses) and other instructions are coded correctly for those of us who haven't a clue.

Flexibility is a popular theme so even if you don't use a premium theme to demo, showing how to change a header and footer on Flexibility and looking for codes that should not be there would be a good example to have which may then be used for editing other themes, free or premium.

Trial and error is okay, but I'm all for doing things the right way, first time, backed up by info from someone experienced.

I'm giving you ideas for your next WSO!!!

Anyway, thanks, again.
