I am somewhat curious, it has been a year or since I visited your thread, and then the last page was 12, so you either have not sold much of your PR service, or people simply no longer leave reviews.

Even to this day, I still continue to hear that doing press releases are useless, unless you are just trying to make some quick sales, and that is because all links are no follow, then quickly fall from the serps, even though your home thread says after 2 years it is still there, I guess if there was no other competition, then there would be no reason for it not to stick around for 2 years.

and would pointing a money keyword to such as mass distribution, would this not cause concern with google for keyword over-optimization? It seems to me that a name brand, or naked url would be more appropriate.

I would like to hear your points on these.

This forum isn't what it once was, people spend more time on social media than hanging around on WF like they did in "the good ol days". But we still do get a great number of sales via the thread (which is why we keep it up), though it's far from being our best source of new clients.

"unless you are just trying to make some quick sales" - You say that like it's a bad thing. Who doesn't want to make some quick sales? Get it right and you can do it over and over again.

Once you know what keywords and angles work for your niche then it's much more cost effective than paid advertising like adwords, especially if you are in a niche with a super expensive CPC.

The main thing people need to realize is that you do not put out a release to try and rank your own site. Instead you are creating lots of new lead grabbing pages that send warm leads your way. It's the releases themselves you want to have rank well, and that's what they've always done best.

You don't have to worry about over optimization, Google knows what a press release is, and the links won't have any effect on your own sites SEO/Rankings/Backlinking Profile.

If on the other hand you have sites writing their own stories / contacting you for an interview based off of us sending out a release, then yes, you can get some great links, and each of those will be completely unique.

The people that say press releases don't work anymore just aren't doing it right. Like everything online it's about research and optimization.

A few of the very first clients that tried us when we launched here on the Warrior Forum all those years ago are still ordering from us on a regular basis. They have their PR plan of attack so dialed in that their ROI is always well in the green.

There are no set limits. You could do one every year or one every day for each site.

how many keywords, urls, etc...

Is it ok to link to product pages?
In this case, I am not sure it would be effective
linking to a blog page that ends up linking back
to the product page, it just means the visitor
has to go backward, fine for long time SEO...

I guess the goal is to get the visitor on the
right page, where they can make the buy decision fast...

what are your thoughts on this...

We get clients ordering for their amazon affiliate sites all the time, as well as others linking directly to amazon sales pages.

For anything sales related, think of each release you put out as the first page in your sales funnel.

It gets people warmed up for what ever page you link to next.

Having no real knowledge of the procedure and requirements we can't really comment on this.

If getting more exposure for your project will help then it may indeed be helpful towards gaining approval.

We do not have any kind of information handouts / PDF's no. All information can be found in this thread and via our website. It would be up to you to present it to your own clients how ever you see fit.

You can link to pretty much anything, but make sure you have thought out the user flow/experience so that you get the end result you are after.

We do send a web based report (using a whitelabel domain so resellers can share to their own clients) that will contain a sample of 100+ sites that have picked up each release.

But as that does not contain everything, yes we do also link you to a Google search that can show more results.

Unfortunately forex is a highly spammed niche so you'll find a lot of news sites simply refuse to publish content unless it's coming from a very well known and trusted source.

Some of the syndication channels used in our service also flat out refuse anything related to forex. This is mainly due to the amount of scammers in the industry that ruin things for the rest of us.

We do also ask what it is you want to announce. You can Google for ideas, or if you are really stuck we can work with you to come up with something.

Due to so many scammers and bots sending us constant friend requests we stopped using Skype a while back.

For example, you may want to announce the launch of your new drop shipping website.

Once we finish writing the release we'll send you a copy to look over. When you approve we will start on the distribution phase.

So long as you are not in a controversial / banned niche then yes, putting out a release can help pretty much any kind of site if you announce something noteworthy / interesting.

We've got repeat clients that continue to do releases linking to their online stores as well as products on Amazon and other marketplaces.

Bit frustrated..."Security Token Expired" and I lost all my info.

I had stepped away to do other work, but when I returned, I was editing the info in one tab, but I opened a new tab and was able to navigate around my profile, so I thought I was still logged in, and so returned to my first open tab.

The program even let me finish through two more screens, and then on the last page, "Security Token Expired."

Please consider increasing the time or allow another way to send the info that doesn't time out as I'm out of time today to work on this.

Review:

Order was placed November 30th. Order delivered Dec 4th. Waited for a while and unfortunately total traffic from press release was only 12 visitors. Adwords would have produced significantly greater traffic.
