Before SEO was pure offensive. Now we have to put 95% of our effort into being defensive to make the link profiles look natural.

Quick But Important Notice: (Please Read!)

The Penguin algorithm change Google made may not of killed SEO but it certainly did alter it.

Before Penguin all we had to do was backlink your five primary keywords and let it rip every day until your site ranked.

Now we have to play much more defensively to keep link profiles looking natural to the crawlers.

Now when backlinking directly to a money site we have to add several additional keywords to the anchor text as well as social qualifiers such as "click here", "check them out", as well as using the domain itself (www.yourdomain.com) as a keyword.

Doing all this dilutes the amount of link juice going out to your primary keywords. Which slows the process down big time. But it doesn't stop or kill the process.

SEO was never a microwavable event where you can push a couple of buttons and have your site catapulted to page one within a day or so.

Now post penguin it really isn't.

So change number #1 we made to our system after the Penguin was to add the additional keywords and social qualifiers to the anchor text.

After some experimenting we learned how we can speed the process up a bit without tipping off Google.

Change #2 we added tiered web 2.0 links into the mix. What we do now is submit 30 or so web 2.0 pages using one of your five primary keywords on each page. Then we start backlinking the web 2.0 pages with a wide variety of different links to boost the link juice flowing from the web 2.0 page to your anchor texts.

The whole process takes time. There just is no way around it.

But the good news is the system works post Penguin. It just takes longer is all.

Also Penguin also has a lot to do with on page seo as well. Which is why we examine your site and give suggestions on what you need to fix on your site after you sign up.

It's totally up to you whether or not you want to make the changes. But we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do make the changes we suggest. Doing so will certainly help us help you.

What you suggest to me, You have brought my website to Page One before Penguin, but my website is now kicked by Penguin (since the 24 April) my website is now on Page 10.
If I pay again you can bring it back to page One (I understand that it will maybe take more time...) ? or if you have other suggestions ?

if i get for instance lets say 2 campaigns, both use the same set of 5 keywords but each campaign is pointing to a different url(eg: abc(dot)com and abc(dot)com/def/ghi), is it possible to get the same keyword on page 1 but on different url ? means ur service here stops when one of the keywords reach page 1 with the specific url (per campaign) or will u consider both campaigns to be completed because using the same set of keywords?

We consider each campaign separate. So in order for both campaigns to be completed they will have both have to be on page one.

I have followed all what your staff said on my tickets (so I think that my on-page seo is okey...) but on the contrary, my website has dropped more (6th page just after the Penguin update, then now after doing what it was suggested on my tickets It's on 10th page).

First of all to the guy above^^ Matt clearly said a billion times that you give him 5 keywords and once ONE of them reach page one your campaign ends. Usually clients talk to us on our tickets regarding their campaigns but since you opted for the open forum instead I guess we can discuss things here.

Any keywords you are trying to rank for and mention anywhere in the metas needs to be mentioned on the upper fold of the page itself. Otherwise G considers the keyword a hidden keyword. I suggest moving the copy you have at the bottom of the page to the top. Then have your images below the copy.

Google has quit using the metas to rank sites a long time ago. They rank sites now according to the keywords the readers can actually see.

So in spite of the fact we let you know specifically what needed to be changed with your on page seo, drove your site to page one, giving you 30 days of additional maintenance links which are the same links that drove you to page one we all of a sudden have become an inferior service?

I signed up to this service on April 18th 2012 and to date none of the five keywords I gave you are ranked at all.

I know my site is indexed by google as I do get google traffic and one of my keywords (that was not on the list of five) is at number 4 on page 1 of google and has been since I started the site.

So, so far no good.

I have had one suggestion via your ticket system for a small on-page change (which I made at the end of April).

Do you have any other ideas as to how we can make this work as this service doesn't appear to be working?

Lots of sites got hit by the Penguin. The deal is if youy did not diversify the amount of anchor text that you had us send out you were more prone to getting hit. With our new system we allow up to 25 keywords.

Let's say you have 5000 links with the same anchor text pointing back to your site and you increase in ranking for that keyword. Then G finds 1000 of them and cuts off the link juice coming from those 1000 links and then sends you the unnatural links warning. Your ranking would drop because of the lost juice from those 1000 sites.

Then to combat this you sign up for our variety link package in which we use 100 different keywords spread out using 10 different types of links and your ranking starts to slowly increase. Then they find another 1000 of the links in which you used the same anchor text. Then your site soars back to page one.

But the next month G applies the Penguin filter and you lose all the link juice from the 1000 links and you receive another unnatural links warning. And you lose your ranking again.

The only way to beat the Penguin is to:

1) Make sure your site is not over optimized
2) Make sure you use a variety of different anchor text
3) Use as many different types of links as you can
4) Set up Web 2.0 pages with your anchor text on them and then backlink them everyday

Some folks would rather clone their site and get it deindexed. Then set it back up on another domain with it optimized properly. Then follow steps 2 - 4.

If the links are on article directories it's virtually impossible to delete them all. So you need to start working on building up the diversity and authority of the new links that you submit.

Hi Peter,

I'm not sure which site you are talking about but I have an idea. I took a look at the backlinks and it looks like you're over optimized with your keywords. Our drip feed IS still effective but we are tweaking it. It was never meant to be something that was an all in one solution but a lot of people were using it as if it were. After the recent updates Google has made the drip feed is even less of an all in one solution.

For this reason the drip is being updated to be more of an all in one solution where for most affiliate type sites it will be all you need.

If you could mention in your ticket that I would like to help you personally we can see if we can get to the bottom of your ranking problems.

4) Set up Web 2.0 pages with your anchor text on them and then backlink them everyday

Some folks would rather clone their site and get it deindexed. Then set it back up on another domain with it optimized properly. Then follow steps 2 - 4.

If the links are on article directories it's virtually impossible to delete them all. So you need to start working on building up the diversity and authority of the new links that you submit.

We'll get to your ticket within a day or two. When you post on it before we get to it it moves it to the back of the line. Also I recommend you edit your post and remove your ticket id from above as anyone can now access it and edit it.

Have you worked with any ecommerce sites before and have you noticed it helps rank them as well or is this service mainly for informational and affiliate sites?

I know the article drip is a different thread but I can assure you, I have two sites with no other links except those and they are top 4 for moderate to very competitive niches.

The Penguin algorithm change Google made may not of killed SEO but it certainly did alter it. Before Penguin all we had to do was backlink your five primary keywords and let it rip every day until your site ranked. Now we have to play much more defensively to keep link profiles looking natural to the crawlers. Now when backlinking directly to a money site we have to add several additional keywords to the anchor text as well as social qualifiers such as "click here", "check them out", as well as using the domain itself (www.yourdomain.com) as a keyword. Doing all this dilutes the amount of link juice going out to your primary keywords. Which slows the process down big time. But it doesn't stop or kill the process. SEO was never a microwavable event where you can push a couple of buttons and have your site catapulted to page one within a day or so. Now post penguin it really isn't. So change number #1 we made to our system after the Penguin was to add the additional keywords and social qualifiers to the anchor text. After some experimenting we learned how we can speed the process up a bit without tipping off Google. Change #2 we added tiered web 2.0 links into the mix. What we do now is submit 30 or so web 2.0 pages using one of your five primary keywords on each page. Then we start backlinking the web 2.0 pages with a wide variety of different links to boost the link juice flowing from the web 2.0 page to your anchor texts. The whole process takes time. There just is no way around it. But the good news is the system works post Penguin. It just takes longer is all. Also Penguin also has a lot to do with on page seo as well. Which is why we examine your site and give suggestions on what you need to fix on your site after you sign up. It's totally up to you whether or not you want to make the changes. But we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do make the changes we suggest. Doing so will certainly help us help you.

I know my site is indexed by google as I do get google traffic and one of my keywords (that was not on the list of five) is at number 4 on page 1 of google and has been since I started the site. I took a look at the backlinks and it looks like you're over optimized with your keywords. Our drip feed IS still effective but we are tweaking it. It was never meant to be something that was an all in one solution but a lot of people were using it as if it were. After the recent updates Google has made the drip feed is even less of an all in one solution. For this reason the drip is being updated to be more of an all in one solution where for most affiliate type sites it will be all you need. If you could mention in your ticket that I would like to help you personally we can see if we can get to the bottom of your ranking problems. Thanks Marc
