Irene, I'm not sure, you may have answered this 200 posts ago, but how can we mimic your coupon graphic in your demo?

Thanks,

Art

Looks like a great product but I'd appreciate being able to see the demo sites listed on the front sales page. When I click on them, nothing happens. I notice in a previous post someone also pointed this out, and there was a response, but the new links provided only appeared (for me) to open up a static pic (a png file) (not a live website).

Also... Is having a mobile-optimized site important for people selling infoproducts? It seems to me that mobile-optimized sites would be much more essential for local, brick and mortar businesses where shoppers might be using their mobile devises to find directions for a local venue, for example, a local restaurant. How about infoproducts (books)?

thanks!!!

It's just an image that I uploaded via the "Coupon Image:" setting.

Or do you mean where did I get the image?

I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are asking me, so I might not be answering correctly.

The images on the salespage are just images, but if you go to the bitly links, you go to the live sites. or you can scan the QRCodes to go to the live sites.

The following QR Code takes you to the live demo site for Enrico Pizza.

If you need to go via a url, then going to http://bit.ly/unOVS6 takes you to the same place.

For Irene and everyone else:

There are quite a few people who will read this post and be mad at me for telling others the below thoughts, to those I am sorry but I have to try and "pay it forward" to quite a few people who have showed me the way to become very wealthly and take that wealth to help others who are "truly in need"

Here we go people, print this post.......

STOP CREATING MOBILE WEBSITES YOURSELF!

Learn how to make just one and stop!

Irene, Will[another version of same idea] Ron [another version of same idea] and others have given you the IT part.

STOP SELLING MOBILE WEBSITES YOURSELF!

Sell just one and stop!

Then leverage the power of outsourcing for the IT and Sales. Own your business, do not let your business own you. If you do anything other than manage, you have too close to a job where your only real luxary is being the boss of yourself. It is still a job. A business owner CREATES JOBS.

How much pre-tax money can you make offering mobile websites to clients? SELLING NOTHING ELSE EVER. DO NOT CHARGE FOR HOSTING.

5 sales reps, selling just 5 mobile websites a day [not one an hour].

Selling price $199.00.
minus website creation=$40.00 or less per site
minus sales rep======$50.00 or 25% for each site
minus paypal invoice fees=not even 3% but I will use 3% for this example

$199.00
-40.00
-50.00
-6.00
=$103 pre tax profit

5 reps sell 5 a day=25 sales a day x five days a week=125 sales a week times 50 weeks a year [my team takes last two weeks of year off] x $103=

$643750 $643750 $643750 how many of you can even figure out a way to spend $643750 whoops that was pre-tax I have accountants to help keep as much of that as possible

Ok 10 reps times five a day etc etc etc etc etc

I will never post this model again. I have finally paid it forward with this post! Thank you Irene, Will, Ron and everyone else who helped me. Good luck to all of you who can think outside of the thing between your two ears.

Now about short message services...........

I'm not going to hijack this thread...but where/how did you set up the training and training info for your sales team.

Neither you nor I have enough posts to pm. If you don't mind, go ahead and email @ art@fifthavenueads.com

Irene I have a question about updating the options available on the theme settings. Your videos show how you can change colors for tables and callouts directly on the theme options page. You show how that changes on the current site your working on.

If I have several sites I've created on the same wp install that are all using the same theme won't the theme customization update on all the sites using it?

So if that's correct you can only make one custom change that would have to apply to all the sites using the same thing. Is this correct or am I missing something?

It was from a PLR colection that I got sometime ago. I've collected a lot of those as I suppose many others also have.

Look around on your hard disk at what you have - you'll be amazed - I know I was - I'd forgot how many WSOs I had actually bought. I was looking at my list of purchases in my Warrior Plus account and was SHOCKED.

Yes, your analysis is correct.

What I tend to do is create a new Theme using the Clone Theme, and then I can modify it without affecting anything else.

I actually built that feature in to deal with exactly the situation that you mention as I came across the situation very early on in my development many months ago.

I can't get this plugin to work.
Similar product WillR released is much easier to operate- instead of adding/building things you are removing from the long list of pre-built pages/forms, striping it down for speed.
So far, passing W3C mobile validator too.
And yeah, buit in footer on WillR product completes his WSO as nothing was left out.
Sorry Irene, but I too am asking for a refund, helpdesk ticked submitted.

Get some sleep Irene - you've earned it.

My plan is to enjoy the holidays and let some of these kinks get worked out. I didn't plan on using this software until after the holidays anyway. I have so much going on with my main niches at this time and selling as much as possible for the holiday season.

Looking forward to the new year and using this software.

joecarson1 I too will pay it forward.

Say you charge $399 instead of $199. Your sales team lose 20% of their sales because of the higher price. (I wouldn't count on that but just for argument's sake)

Now you can pay at least $100 per sale and keep your reps. A huge plus in your proposed model.

5 sales reps, selling "just 4" (instead of 5) mobile websites a day [not one an hour].

Selling price $399.00.
minus website creation=$40.00 or less per site
minus sales rep======$100.00 or 25% for each site
minus paypal invoice fees=not even 3% but I will use 3% for this example

$399.00
- 40.00
-100.00
- 12.00
=$ 277 pre tax profit

5 reps sell 4 a day=20 (instead of 25) sales a day x five days a week=100 sales a week times 50 weeks a year [my team takes last two weeks of year off] x $277=

$1 385 000 $1 385 000 $1 385 000 how many of you can even figure out a way to spend $1 385 000 whoops that was pre-tax I have accountants to help keep as much of that as possible

Seriously, that's 2 times higher profits for a price point that's certainly not even high by industry standards. And you'll attract and keep more good sales reps. BTW I'd pay even higher commissions personally.

Some of you people do need to realize that outside the WF people pay a LOT for marketing?!?!?!?!? Stop selling yourself short!!! It pisses me off to see such bottom suggested prices proposed all the time in here for our services while we bring so much value!

BTW I bought this product because it came make it easy for my future team to build sites in-house instead of doing it all myself OR outsourcing to 3rd parties.

Irene, can we clone the demos you have or download the demos? I'd love to have a ready set to display on my own domain to show prospects (without giving the plug-in source away). I hate building things without getting paid first, go figure lol.

Irene, I have a suggestion for you.

A lot of people have come here to say, they don't want to read or have time to read, now 11 pages. That is a lot.

You have answered several questions multiple times. Why not summarize those and it them to post #2. Or even make a pdf so that you can save your selftime from answering the same thing 10 more times.

And once you add it to post #2, which you state is the FAQ post, add that info to your footer. That will take time to make at first, but I am sure it will save a lot of time in the long run.

You've done a great job with the video tutorials. I think if you just show us how to Un-Link the videos from the dashboard this should be ok. We can watch them on YouTube.

Google.com/m is in fact the search for non smart mobile devices, the Google search you see on your smartphones like the iPhone and Android is actually triggered by the browsers user agent. Try using Firefox and user agent switching between iPhone and say Nokia n70 and you will see what I am talking about...

So you might be thinking so what? lol Well the difference in the two Google mobile search portals is very important, well in my eyes anyway!

I have not heard many people comment about how mobile optimized sites actually stand out from the rest of the search results... but they do stand out but only on Google search for non smartphones ie. Google.com/m!

How do they stand out? Valid mobile sites stand out because Google places a green handset icon next to the listing... take a look at this link for an example notice some of the listings have green mobile icon handsets next to them... these do not appear in the Google search for smartphones...

Just to confirm that I've now successfully installed the plugin on both Instant Wordpress and WAMPserver local hosts, but only by decompressing the .zip and copying the folder to the appropriate location. Uploading the .zip from within Wordpress just doesn't work for me. Not a bigee though.

Why does the plugin tell me there are updates available when I'm using the latest version? I see this in the updates and tutorial windows.

Hi Irene,

I notice when I view source this appears:

src="http://www......./wp-content/plugins/EzMobileSiteGenerator/js/EZMBfunctions.js" charset="utf-8"></script><style>body

In fact, EzMobileSiteGenerator appears more than once.

If we don't want clients/other webmasters finding how we build these sites can this be obscured?

Many thanks

I am having some problems with this. Can you tell me should I be uploading this to a new word press blog or can I upload it to an existing blog that contains a lot of content.:p

If any of the forum members can tell me I would love to hear from you

I think it is easier to make a new WP "mobile" site so you can host all your new mobile sites from that website (I thought Irene used this method).

I don't think so. You only have to look at some of the sites that rank high in any niche.

You can also test this yourself by running the high ranking sites through the validator.

Pete is right.

Another thing that you also have to remeber is that you are redirecting to the mobile site from THE SITE THAT YOU ARE RANKING in the search engines.

Mobile site ranking is probably going to go through an extensive evolution over the next few months to a year as the search engines begin to add more and more importance to it and work it into their alogorithms.

Getting hung up on test scores instead of building sites and earning money is counter productive.

I will be adapting the plugin to gain as much benefit from the search engines as we can as they evolve their integration of mobile. They are at early stages now, and very few people REALLY know what rtuly affects anything mobile - EVERYTHING is speculation.

You've already got MOBILE SITEMAPS in there that put you way ahead of the game by telling Google which pages are MOBILE pages.

Remember I have client sites too that I want as high as possible in the search engines so I will be tweaking etc to get maximum benefit for the sites I am personally creating.

We are only at version 1.02.08 ... there's a long development schedule ahead for this plugin.

I don't have time today to spend discussing this back and forth. My time is better spent getting my support up to date, and getting some additional tutorial videos completed and out to everyone.

I'll not be as active on here today as the last couple of days so that I focus on getting caught up.

I'm trying to stay off here as much as possible today to focus on getting some additional tutorials recorded that will help based on the support issues that I have dealt with over the last couple of days.

I'm going to do a tutorial building a site from scratch, and record it in video, and give you a PDF of it .... and I'm going to give you the content that I used, so that you can build an identical site yourselves by follow step-by-step.

SO ... when you have followed each of the steps in turn, you will have an identical site to the one you will see in my video tutorial, just hosted on your domain instead of mine.

I'm going to do it on a Hostgator account that I have because quite a few people are on hostgator so will be able to relate to it.

I think that will help everyone.

Hi Ray,

If your clients are smart enough to "view source" then they probably won't need your services

95% of clients don't know how to "view source" and decipher what all that code means... let alone tracking down a plugin...

If your customers can "view source" and decipher the code for a plugin they can probably do the same for the WP theme, etc. What do they need your for? Sell your services and talent!!! They are buying your expertise to bring that business more customers and profits.

They are NOT paying you to install a plugin for them. So stop worrying about whether your customer/competitor will find out what theme or plugin you are using. It's not the tools that bring the success... it's the knowledge and expertise in using them properly to bring the business owner more customers and sales!

I'm doing a tutorial set today that you'll be able to clone.

You can show my demos to clients if you wish. I have no plroblem with that.

In fact, show them the shopping portal site and get them to click through to Amazon and buy something - I would like that

But seriously now ... yes if you read my other post you will see what I'm going to do, but your suggesting of giving the content of my demo sites is a good one.

adj,

The simple answer is WP Mobile Pro is a theme and EZMobileSiteGenerator is a plugin. Generally speaking, Wordpress only allows one front-end theme per install. That means you will need a separate install of WP and its corresponding database for EVERY mobile site you build.

Because EZMobileSiteGenerator is a plugin you can host SEVERAL mobile sites off of ONE wordpress install. That fact alone will save you enormous amounts of time and resources!

Also, because WPMP is a theme many of the looks are hardcoded into each theme, which is why they sell several versions of the theme. EZMSG is very flexible and you can probably achieve most of those looks plus many more with this ONE plugin.

Finally, WPMP is nearly 5 times as expensive with its current discount price of $197 (regularly $399).

You could get both, but quite frankly I've stopped looking at WPMP once I got this one. I think EZMobileSiteGenerator is GREAT and you can tell from the numerous posts by plugins creator, SunnyGal, that the SUPPORT IS EVEN GREATER!

Get this plugin. You can't go wrong.

I dont think W3C score hurt but I do think that load times will hurt SEO as Google wants to see no more than 5 second loads on sites. If mobile sites take longer than that, then it will hurt SEO rankings. The following comes straight from Google:

"At Google, we’re striving to make the whole web fast. As part of that effort, we’re launching a new web-based tool in Google Labs, Page Speed Online, which analyzes the performance of web pages and gives specific suggestions for making them faster. Page Speed Online is available from any browser, at any time. This allows website owners to get immediate access to Page Speed performance suggestions so they can make their pages faster.

In addition, we’ve added a new feature: the ability to get Page Speed suggestions customized for the mobile version of a page, specifically smartphones. Due to the relatively limited CPU capabilities of mobile devices, the high round-trip times of mobile networks, and rapid growth of mobile usage, understanding and optimizing for mobile performance is even more critical than for the desktop, so Page Speed Online now allows you to easily analyze and optimize your site for mobile performance. The mobile recommendations are tuned for the unique characteristics of mobile devices, and contain several best practices that go beyond the recommendations for desktop browsers, in order to create a faster mobile experience. New mobile-targeted best practices include eliminating uncacheable landing page redirects and reducing the amount of JavaScript parsed during the page load, two common issues that slow down mobile pages today."

This begs the question, are the redirects that are going to be created for us going to be cacheable? If not, Google recommends that they should be...

Most local biz owners don't know how to "view source" nor would they even care to.I wouldn't be too worried about it.

I own both...As long as Irene continues to support. I find this one to be much better.

@Irene...I also agree with several other posts about eliminating information about EZgenerator in both our url and sourcecode. But ESPECIALLY the URL. The sourcecode is a bunch of gobbly-gook to most people anyways, but people get curious about URL's. And fair or not, they can feel taken advantage of for paying fair market value for a mobile site if they look up the ingredient's cost. I just prefer not have those conversations at all.

Thanks!

Art,

You mean the reference to the plugin folder file in the JS links, etc?

To change that I need to rename the plugin, recreate all my videos, plus a lot of other stuff .... and deal with the support we I issue the update that changes the name ... etc, etc.

It sounds simple to you guys, but the implications for me are not simple and straightforward ... but I'll consider it.

3 more support tickets to clear up, and then I'm starting on the tutorials and getting this out to you.

So hopefully in a few hours time, or tomorrow morning at absolute latest. (because it's already evening here, and I've been working until 4am each night since launch)

I need some help not able to get this working at all. I saw all videos twice and still cannot get it working I think I am doing it all correctly but not sure whats wrong.
I would appreciate you doing a video from the start in all your videos you already have several site up and finished would like to see one done from start.

The problem:

I made my mobile site as main site not page, loaded my large image I see it there but in the emulator all I see is a not found page from my main site and not mobile viewable with large logo not resized.

I also entered the tap to call phone short code and maps short code in the main mobile site but no good still getting the not found regular site in emulator.

I then tried to create a child page for the main mobile site but not working having the same problem as the main site page not showing in emulator.

Please help been trying now for two days cannot figure out whats going wrong I think I did everything correctly also I used another emulator and entered the mobiles permalink url and still getting the not found regular page and try to use the main regular sites url and does not redirect to mobile page did I miss something does this already auto redirect or do I have to add another plugin to do the redirecting?

This is the perfect addition to my offline business.. been looking for an easy and fair priced solution to start offering mobile friendly sites to my current and future clients. More and more people search for local businesses on their mobile phones and this will only grow. I read thru the entire thread.. bought the product.. downloaded to one of my clients sites as a m.clientsite.com and in less than 30 minutes (slow first time using it) had a mobile friendly version of my clients site... Then I e-mailed my client showing them what their site looked in Iphone and android phones... then showed them after.....asked them if they wanted to keep it at a discounted price.... they bought it and are now telling their friends... For a local off line marketers this is an must have... So far the plugin works perfect... highly recommend for the low price.. you could easily spend four times as much on similar products.. ..

It sounds simple to you guys, but the implications for me are not simple and straightforward ... but I'll consider it.

Well, Thanks for listening, and at least considering it. YOur right, I don't know the work involved. If issue come up a lot I will definitely let you know. But yeah, a cryptic name would have definitley been better, i.e. ezm or something.

Thanks for all the hard work your putting in to get the plug in right for all your customer's AFTER we have already bought It is appreciated and remembered in the future.

As for the New Demo your making that we can clone, can I request that you add these itemsat the bottom or footer:

Inputs for Social Icons
"Powered By ABC.com"
and "Desktop" link

I'm sure people will be asking for a lot of other nuances (and I could too lol). But I think these are Standards that should be on every page usually. I know you disagree on the access of the desktop, as its the purpose of mobile to have different needs in info; and I agree, but sometimes the consumer needs more information and should be accessible on their phone as well still.

Thanks for all the effort and great job!

I'll try and work those in for you on a later tutorial, becuase really I reckon those you'd probably want to do in a "footer" section and have them on every page, and I haven't got a footer feature until next upgrade so I might confuse people even more.
